Stampin’ Up! Nests of Winter DSP & Sketch

WOW – November! Halloween is behind us & Thanksgiving is coming soon. What a time to be be thankful & grateful… yes, yes. I’m thankful for all of you & grateful for this fun craft which I so enjoy. So MANY blessings… lest I get sappy… let me share today’s card.

Stampin' Up! Nests of Winter DSP card front

This cute little bird has been sitting on my desk for a bit. He was supposed to be used on another project & well, I got busy with other cards, designs & stuff. He was die cut using a Spotlight on Nature Die, cut directly from the Nests of Winter DSP. I mounted him on a Cherry Cobbler circle die cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies. Then I pulled various papers from the Nests of Winter DSP pack.

  • the cross panel is 2 1/4 x 3 7/8
  • the two vertical panels are 1 x 3 & 1 1/4 x 4

These were adhered on the Basic White 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 pice which was attached to yet another panel of DSP 4 x 5 1/4. These were added to the Gray Granite card base (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4) with dimensionals. The circles were also added to the card with dimesnionals. Then these wonderful Streaked Dots were scattered for additional charm.

Stampin' Up! Nests of Winter DSP, inside card

For the inside of the card I fussy cut with my paper snips this adorable bird & adhered it with liquid glue to the Basic White insert (4 x 5 1/4).

Stampin' Up! Nests of Winter DSP card & envelope

For the envelope… more of the Nests of Winter DSP attached to the flap & trimmed to fit. DONE! Cut the DSP panels ahead of time & this card layout is a quick 1, 2, 3. Add a sentiment depending on the front focal point, or not, as I didn’t here. It’s easy to add a message inside when this card is needed for something special.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop Christmas Fun Fold

We have a perfect challenge to get us excited about Christmas! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop 😀 I’m using the Bauble Blooms bundle to create this fun fold today.

Stampin' Up! Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Hop Challenge
Stampin' Up! Bauble Blooms card front

I’m using a couple of different coordinating Designer Series papers for my card today: the bauble is die cut from Need for Tweed 12 x 12, the front layer on the flap & the card front is Traditions of Christmas. I love how they work together, brining together both gold & rustic patterns. Now let’s open & see the flap open then the entire card.

Stampin' Up! Bauble Blooms flap card,
Stampin' Up! Bauble Blooms flap card, open

Above you can see all the various papers used to create a really eye-catching card. And, it really is not terribly bulky. Using Designer Series Papers that are lighter weight for layers help keep the card light for traditional postage. Let’s do a quick step by step…

Directions:

  • Die cut the bauble with the Bauble Blooms Dies from both DSP & Old Olive card stock – this creates strength to put on dimensionals. If you so desire, you can adhere the two panels together, then die cut – it works well!
  • Cut layers for card base: Cherry cobbler 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4; flap is 3 5/8 x 3 5/8 scored on one side at 1/2″: add to card base centering top to bottom with score line at edge. You must make certain you can close the flap over the closedc card. If necessary you can trim 1/16 from card front.
  • Decorate as shown: layers are 3 x 3 1/2 for flap front & inside flap; card front layers are 2 tone card stock 4 x 5 1/4, DSP 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
  • Inside layers are: front inside left – DSP 4 x 5 1/4; stamped section – 4 x 5 1/4
  • Additional decorations were die cut from: Peaceful Gardens Glimmer Paper & Need for Tweed, plus Old Olive card stock & gold foil
  • Embellishments are Traditional Sparkling Sequins

Stampin’ Up! Regal Distressed Patterns with Pearls of Beauty & Words of Beauty

Mixing old & new is almost magical – it brings life to papers you have had for a while, making it possible to create with new eyes. I’m sharing another accordion fold card made with the Regal Distressed Pattern SDSP that is Pretty Peacock in color and pairing it with the dies from Pearls of Beauty – a new November 4 release in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES.

Stampin' Up! Regal Distressed Patterns SDSP w/ Pearls of Beauty bundle accordion fold

These gorgeous dies from the new Pearls of Beauty bundle were die cut from Gold Foil and from Vellum. Yes – Vellum is back! Vellum is one of the products in the Brushed with Beauty Suite. I cut a panel of Gold Foil 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 & from the center die cut the two leaf dies – using the Pearls of Beauty Dies. I cut a panel of the Regal Distressed Pattern SDSP 4 x 5 1/4 & added it to the Gold Foil – no one will suspect die cut were taken from the center! Both were added to the Pretty Peacock card base. The gold foil die cuts were added with liquid glue – except under four of the larger leaves I added a dimensional for added depth. I die cut the delicate floral edging detail from Vellum & attached it with a glue dot in the center of the flower. One single Pearls of Beauty embellishment in the center covers the glue dot. I added a double bow from white Baker’s Twine & attached it with a glue dot as well. Gorgeous!

Stampin' Up! Regal Distressed Patterns accordion folkd with Pearls of Beauty

For the inside… stunning. The accordion fold is a panel of DSP (here it is Regal Distressed Patterns SDSP in white) cut 4 x 12 and scored at 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9, then added to the card base with equal edges on both ends – only adhering those 3″ ends. Here I used the Branching Out Dies to die cut two Basic White panels adhering them 1/4″ from the edge of the paper on each end. The Pearls of Beauty single flower is stamped in Flirty Flamingo full strength for the flower outline, then using the ‘filler’ stamp and Flirty Flamingo ink, stamping off once. I die cut the stamped image with the Pearls of Beauty Dies and added it to the upper left corner. I die cut the delicate Vellum edging of the flower and added it with a single glue dot & a Pearls of Beauty embellishment in the center. I stamped the leaf image on the Vellum in Soft Sea Foam ink, heat set it with my heat tool, then die cut it with the Pearls of Beauty Dies and slipped it gently under the flower, using liquid glue to attach it. On the lower right corner… I stamped the flowers in the same manner as the first…outline stamp in Flirty Flamingo full strength and the filler stamp in stamped off Flirty Flamingo ink. I added three small Pearls of Beauty embellishments.

Stampin' Up! Regal Distressed Patterns with Pearls of Beauty bundle in an accordion fold

For the envelope… more of the Regal Distressed Pattern SDSP added to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front, this gorgeous flower stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink in the 2 step method described above.

Stampin’ Up! Ornamental Christmas Cards

Good Morning Monday! Whew – the start of another week in October… Where has the month gone? For me, it has flown by – how about for you? I have a pretty set of cards for you today, all the same layout, same dies, same ribbon, same embellishments, just different colors in the Season of Elegance SDSP. I simply couldn’t quit making these. I was inspired by another demonstrator, Julie Gilson.

Stampin' Up! Ornamental Christmas card 1
Stampin' Up! Ornamental Christmas card 2

Card 1 is in Pretty Peacock. Card 2 is in Basic Beige. Card 3 is in Cherry Cobbler. All three use the same Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder and similar layers.

Card 4 uses a brand new Beautiful Pattern embossing folder, coming in the November ONLINE EXCLUSIVE release – available Nov 4. It also has similar layers and comes in Mossy Meadow.

Stampin' Up! Ornamental Christmas card 3
Stampin' Up! Ornamental Christmas card 4

For sentiments on the card fronts I used the Christmas Words Collage bundle die cut from Gold Foil and also Basic White (for the word peace). This set embosses the words & die cuts at the same time, so it’s quite easy to have a bunch words at the ready 😀

Here are the insides of each of those cards – a simple strip of the Season of Elegance DSP added to the bottom of the inside panel.

Stampin' Up! Oranmental C'mas inside card 1
Stampin' Up! Ornamental C'mas inside card 2

Stampin' Up! Ornamental C'mas inside card 3
Stampin' Up! Ornamental C'mas inside card 4

And below… the envelopes for these beautiful cards – more of the same Season of Elegance SDSP adhered & trimmed to fit the flap. Simple, elegant finish to these stunning cards.

You will notice some of these are on card bases 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 while others are on card bases of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. It honestly didn’t matter either way, so if I had that already cut, that’s what I used. Super fun cards to make multiples of while also making them unique in color & words.

Stampin’ Up! Love & Courage for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to Thursday & our fabulous hop! We have a theme challenge today called “Clean & Simple” and I confess… this was not easy for me. I made a card but it used a die & ribbon, but was a step ‘up’ so to speak. And actually I like this card better. 😀

Do you see what I did here? I created a cross with score lines. So, stamp first (Pretty In Pink was used here), turn the card over & with your scoring tool, score lines where you want them. And why flip the card over? I wanted the score lines to be raised on the front, not indented. Make sense? After scoring, I added the stamped piece to a larger layer, then attached those to the card front with dimensionals. Final touch – Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems. So so easy…

Stampin' Up! Love & Courage inside card

For the inside… another stamp in the Love & Courage stamp set is the single word HOPE – – it’s stamped in Pretty In Pink on a Basic White insert piece then added to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Love & Courage card & envelope

For the envelope… a piece of Subtles 6×6 DSP in Petal Pink was added to the flap & trimmed to fit. The traditional cancer ribbon from Love & Courage stamp set was stamped in Pretty in Pink on the flap & on the envelope front.

This is the first card I mentioned that I made that didn’t seem to fit the ‘clean & simple’ challenge. The DSP in the background is 2025-2027 In Color 6×6 in Strawberry Slush and the ribbon & inking is also Strawberry Slush.

Time to hop around – see what others on the team have created… click the ‘next’ button or click on a name. Either way, check them all. 😀 Enjoy the hop!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Christmas stamp set & Winter Meadow DSP

Hello folks… it’s Sunday and going to be another hot & humid day here on the East Coast The trees are beginning to turn but the weather remains h-o-t! So we adjust, right? But to my card…actually cards – I have three, all with the same layout but with different papers from the Winter Meadows Designer Series Papers. I was on a roll and absolutely loving this new (to me) stamp set. I bought it during the 15% off stamp sale 😀

Card 1: Here I used the patterned paper to cover the card base and to create the strip. For Coordinating colors I used Blueberry Bushel and the 2nd largest of the Branching Out Dies to layer the Basic White sentiment layer. The large Merry Christmas was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink. With this sentiment label on dimensionals I was able to add die cuts of pine boughs & berries die cut in Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon and the berries in Blueberry Bushel. I added Wink of Stella to the berries. The embellishments are Shades of Green Hexagons. On the inside, I die cut the same size panel of Basic White as the white panel on front and stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink using the Gift of Joy stamp set.

Card 2: For this card, I used another of the papers in the Winter Meadow DSP pack for the background and the strip. I used Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper in silver and Garden green for the pine bough die cuts and Real Red for the berries. Wink of Stellas was added to the berries. The ink for the Basic White sentiment panel (Branching Out Dies of course) is Misty Moonlight. The embellishment here is the Traditional Sparkling Sequins. For the inside, I used Misty Moonlight card stock for the layer of the Basic White sentiment panel. The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and is from the Gift of Joy stamp set.

Card 3: This may be my favorite card… I simply reversed where I used the papers from card 1 – the background paper being the blue and the strip being the patterned side of the Winter Meadow DSP. I again used Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper (this time in blue) to die cut pine boughs and Blueberry Bushel for the berries (yes, Wink of Stella on these berries too!) The embellishments are the Sparkling Snowflakes in green. For the inside… another die cut of the berries from Branching Out Dies, this time using the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper in blue – was added to a simple trimmed rectangle stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink using the Gift of Joy stamp set.

These are all larger than usual cards as I used a retired set of cards & envelopes to decorate. This layout was part of our Thursday sketch challenge for the blog hop and is a total CASE of the card by Amy Koenders. I want to give her credit after all! As I mentioned earlier – love this new Merry Christmas stamp set! Products to make this card may be found below.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Kisses for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our Thursday blog hop! You may have come from the fabulous Tara and seen her fun creation – & now you are here. We have a sketch challenge today & I have chosen to use the Snowflake Kisses bundle and Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper to show off the beautiful snowflakes. I hope you like!

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Kisses card front

I began by die cutting several snowflakes from the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper. It has three colors: silver, blue and gray – I’m using the first two – the silver & blue. I’ve also chosen to use the Traditional Labels Dies for the center die cuts in Cloud Cover & Basic White. The sentiment is stamped in Azure Afternoon with the Snowflake Kisses stamp set. The ribbon is Silver Edged Ribbon in Misty moonlight.

The card base is Cloud Cover with an added layer of Azure Afternoon just a bit smaller. Then I added a strip of Peaceful Garden DSP upon which I layered the snowflakes & the sentiment panel in the center. Only this sentiment banner is on dimensionals. As you can see, I layered the larger die cut snowflakes and I also colored three of the Faceted Snowflakes with a Stampin’ Blends Dark Azure Afternoon. The other two I left uncolored.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Kisses inside card

For the inside… I added a strip of the same Peaceful Garden DSP as is on the front to a Basic white panel & adhered an additional die cut snowflake from the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper. I added the extra little bits of die cuts from one of the snowflakes – simply because they were available & I wanted to use them. 😀

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Kisses card & envelope

For the envelope… I adhered the last of the die cut snowflakes from the the Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper (in silver) to the front of the envelope & added a starry piece of Peaceful Garden DSP to the flap & trimmed to fit. Finis!

This is another one of those cards that is so flexible – this time because of the sentiment on the front & no sentiment on the inside. If needed, I could stamp – ‘thinking of you’ or ‘happy birthday’ or ‘just because’ – and it is easily a masculine card as well. Don’t you love the versatility??? Thanks so much for stopping by.

Now… on with the hop… choose the next button or click on a name – either one, be sure to visit everyone! Happy Hopping.

Stampin’ Up! Delicate Pines Bundle for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday – and welcome to our fun hop! We have a sketch challenge today that suggests lots of opportunities. I have chosen to use the Delicate Pines Bundle and Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP to create a pretty Christmas card.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Stampin' Up! Delicate Pines Christmas Card front

I used Old Olive for my card base and added a layer of Secret Sea then Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP. I added a strip of Secret Sea to follow the sketch challenge. I then fussy cut this pretty snowflake from the designer series paper. I set this aside while die cutting several pine boughs from Cloud Cover card stock. I attached some to the back of the snowflake with Stampin’ Seal, punched a circle with the 2 3/8″ circle punch from Secret Sea card stock to add to the back for stability and to hold the fragile pine boughs in place. I added dimesnionals to this and attached it to the card front. I slipped in more pine boughs where I though the card needed them, attaching with dabs of liquid glue. As a final touch, I added a single red Faceted Snowflake to the center.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Pines C'mas card inside

For the inside… on the Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment from the Delicate Pines bundle in Shaded Spruce ink then stamped the oh so beautiful pine branches in Old Olive ink that I added secret Sea ink with a sponge dauber. This was added to the Secret Sea card stock panel then to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Pines C'mas card & envelope

For the envelope… more Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP was added to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front I used the same beautiful pine bough from Delicate Pines stamp set, inked it with Old Olive ink then used a sponge dauber to create depth & interest. Done!

To me, this is a very masculine card… and I like that! I find it rather difficult to create a masculine type card for most occasions. 🥴 Now… before you get on with the hop, card cuts are listed below as well as a way to purchase these products and other Stampin’ Up! products from me.

Stampin’ Up! Amber Autumn Fall Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to Thursday and the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Our theme today is an autumn card and I’ve chosen to make an avid card using the Amber Autumn Bundle and other products in the Autumn Toile Suite of products on pages 39-43 in the September – December 2025 Mini Catalog. If you look at page 42, you will see a similar card , I’ve just added a few items to make it a bit more wow!

Stampin' Up! Amber Autumn card front

Then card base is Basic Beige with an added layer of Early espresso & a slightly smaller layer of Amber Toile DSP. I created two strips (banners really) using the back side of the larger DSP panel. I trimmed the ends using the new & fabulous Party Banner Dies. With the largest of the circles in the Stitched Shapes Dies, I cut a circle from Gathering Together Specialty DSP. I turned this saame paper to the other side and die cut several leaves with the Amber Autumn Dies. With this die, then ‘vein’ of the leaves pops out. I mixed up those ‘veins’ and put them in other die cut leaves. The only one I left with it’s original center is the leaf die cut from the same side of the DSP as the circle. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink with an Amber Autumn sentiment, then popped the circle on the card front with dimensionals. I added the die cut leaves with liquid glue except for one – that’s on mini dimensionals. I tied a double bow with the coordinating Early Espresso Thread and attached it with a glue dot. Final touch… two Streaked Dots from the suite of products

Stampin' Up! Amber Autumn card inside

For the inside… I stamped the acorn & leaf image with Basic Beige ink. It comes from the Amber Autumn stamp set and it’s a favorite image! I then stamped the sentiment, also from the Amber Autumn stamp set in early Espresso ink. This Basic White panel was added to an Early espresso piece then attached to the inside of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Gift of Joy & Peaceful Garden Christmas Card

Good Wednesday – BIG DAY TODAY! Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog LAUNCH and SEPTEMBER ONLINE EXCLUSIVE RELEASES. I’m sharing a card today that uses products from the Mini Catalog , mixing products. The stamped images come from the Gift of Joy stamp set onnpage 55. The embossed panel is done on Designer Series Paper from the Peaceful Garden Suite of products on pages 32-25. The embellishments are from that suite as well.

Stampin' Up! Gift of Joy & Peaceful Garden card front

I began by stamping the various images from the Gift of Joy stamp set in Secret Sea ink. I filled in the images using Pool Party and Strawberry Slush. I then die cut them with the Stitched Shapes Dies, second from smallest square. I added them to a Pool Party strip 3/4 x 5 1/4. Next I embossed a panel of Peaceful Garden DSP with the Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder. This gives a beautiful embossing and background. I adhered this embossed panel to Secret Sea card stock, then wove ribbon back & forth for movement and texture. The ribbon is Faux Linen Ribbon in Cloud Cover. I added the strip of Poll Party over top to hold the ribbon in place and added the stamped pieces with dimensionals. The final touch, several Hues of Blue Flowers from the Peaceful Garden Suite.

For the inside… When first die cutting the stamped images, I die cut the squares too large, so in cutting down to the appropriate size, I had a leftover ‘trim’ so used it to enhance the stamped sentiment 😀 The sentiment is from Gift of Joy stamp set and is stamped in Secret Sea ink. The gorgeous bow is stamped in Strawberry Slush and is from the Gift of Joy stamp set. This Basic White panel was added to the inside of the card & voila!

Stampin' Up! Gift of Joy & Peaceful Garden card & envelope

For the envelope, another piece of the Peaceful Garden DSP adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front, again the cute stocking first stamped in Secret Sea then stamped with Pool Party ink. Since this and the others are two-step images, this works well!.

This is not your traditional bright red & green for a Christmas card, but softer colors that still work. Stampin’ Up! does a great job of coordinating colors for doing just this kind of thing! Hope you like.Shop the products to make this card by clicking the images below.
