Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to Thursday – Dec 4 – and the super fun blog hop. We have a sketch challenge today that is just perfect to show off a new January-April 2026 Mini Catalog product – some of the Cute As A Bug Suite. Just super, super cute! Thanks for joining me today.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog hop

This super cute ‘bug’ is a die cut (from Sweet Bugs Dies) using the Designer Series Paper called Cute As A Bug 12×12. It may be found in the January-April 2026 Mini Catalog on pages 42-44. I added a Basic White backing for strength. The sentiment comes from the Sweet Bug stamp set. and the DSP these sit on is more of the Cute As A Bug 12×12 DSP. It was added to a Mossy Meadow panel just slightly larger. The embossing folder is also brand new – it’s called Lovely Stripes and is an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE coming in January. It was dry embossed on Crushed Curry card stock and added to as Crushed Curry card base.The embellishments I used are Low Profile Sparkle Dots in Mossy Meadow.

For the inside of the card I die cut another cute ‘fellow’ from the Cute As A Bug DSP and adhered it to a Basic White panel. I also stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Bug stamp set in Mossdy Meadow ink. This panel is attached to Mossy Meadow & both added to the inside of the card.

A super cute stamp of these ants mar ching along… from the Sweet Bug stamp set. I stamped in Pecan Pie ink – should have usede Memento Black ink. I colored with Stampin’ Blends Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight & Real Red.

For the envelope back I attached more of the same design from the Cute As A Bug 12×12 DSP. Tuesday, the day I made this card ,was a dismal, dreary day outside – rained all day – 2 1/2″ plus – and making this card made me smile. Hope it makes you smile too. Stampin’ Up! Delicate Pines & Snowflakes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning sweet friends – HAPPY THANKSGIVING! My prayer for you is that you are able to be thankful & grateful for your life and those in your life. Life is short – love fully & completely. Our life changes when we support one another & give back. Special blessings!

It’s hop time in the Inkin’ Krew world… and our theme is winter/ snow I had all kinds of ideas going through my head and ended with doing something quite traditional.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Pines & Snowflakes

The card base is Thick Basic White with a layer of Elegant Pines DSP covering the front of the card base. I then pulled out Lost Lagoon card stock & removed any particles with my embossing buddy and proceeded to stamp several snowflake images in VersaMark ink. I sprinkled these with WOW! White Embossing Powder & heat set it with my heat tool. I let that cool and stamped the pine needles in Lost Lagoon ink. I roughed the edges of the Lost Lagoon with my scissors and bent & curled some edges & attached it to the card front with dimensionals. I also stamped a Basic White strip with a sentiment from Delicate Pines in Lost Lagoon ink & snowflake & pine needles in Lost Lagoon and Old Olive inks. I added this fun Bordered Ribbon to the b ack of the sentiment strip & attached it to the Lost Lagoon front with dimesnionals. As a final touch I added these embellishments to the centers of several snowflakes.

For the inside… I fussy cut this snowflake from the Elegant Pines DSP and adhered it with liquid glue to a Basic White panel then stamped the sentiment from Delicate Pines stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

For the envelope I stamped this wonderful pine branch in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with WOW! White embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool. When dry I used my Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend to color the area over the snowflake for an emboss resist look. :O) I buffed it gently to remove ink from the embossing.

Stampin’ Up! Sketch Challenge for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning… it’s Thursday and you KNOW what that means – the wonderful Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have some very talented folks on this team & it amazes me what folks create. I hope you appreciate all the talent you see on our hops. It is so funny, I was a week ahead of myself & made something for that… so I re-grouped!

Yesterday I received a Stampin’ Up! package with items from the Jan-April 2026 Mini Catalog, along with my catalog! YAY! So, in re-grouping and with the new items, I created something, well, different for me. My hubby really likes it – so hopefully you will too.

Stampin' Up! Nature's Symphony card front

The items on this card are all from the Nature’s Walk Suite Collection in the new January – April 2026 Mini Catalog. First off, I cannot believe we are quickly moving into 2026!!! How did that happen? Secondly – this suite is full of gorgeous Designer Series Paper (2!), embellishments, a bundle & ribbon. I used all but the ribbon for this card. Check the texture on the paper behind the leaf die cut. That’s called Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper. And the die cut leaf is from one of the Nature Walk DSP; the panel at the bottom is from the same sheet. The odd-shaped cuts in the paper – a die from the Nature’s Symphony Dies. More texture! And the piece with the holes – another die. And of course, it was cut from the same piece of DSP!

I used additional products to make this card… the Textured Notes Dies (third from largest), Very Vanilla card stock & Secret Sea ink.

For the inside of the card… Another strip of the Nature Walk DSP across the bottom of a 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Very Vanilla; the leaf is actually a portion of the leaf from the leaf on the card front :O) The sentiment is from Nature’s Symphony stamp set – stamped in Secret Sea ink. There’s another stamp on there too, on the paper under the leaf, it’s just really hard to see, but it comes from this stamp set as well.

Card & envelope… I left this in the ‘large’ size so you can see the texture on the larger panel of Specialty Paper. I will definitely be playing more with this set! Stampin’ Up! Pleated Fun Fold with Botanical Textures DSP

I posted a card last week that was made in this same way. Todays card is simply black & white with the beautiful Botanical Textures DSP (on the last chance list so ON SALE!) I used a new November ONLINE EXCLUSIVE embossing folder – Beautiful Pattern and really like the design it creates.

You will notice I offset the pleated panel and tied the bow on the side. This has a totally different look. Here is the link to the card with this same pleat or accordion type fold.

More photos… card open to the left so all layers show, then card open to right where only the second panel is decorated. You could, of course, decorate the other panels, but they would not show when the card is closed or open.

Notice the DSP is cut so each design matches the next, starting with the left far panel to even the small strip on right. These were purposely cut sequentially so the pattern would ‘flow.’

Stampin’ Up! Traditions of Christmas Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our Thursday hop! Thanks for jumping in… If you came from Tara, I’m sure you were inspired by her creation – and I hope you will be inspired here as well. We have a color challenge today & I chose to work with the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP. What makes it specialty you ask – the gold! And it’s gorgeous!

I think I incorporated all the colors but Secret Sea by using the Traditions of Christmas SDSP. This is such gorgeous paper and my pack is nearly gone. Of course, my card class is using it to make this exact card today 😀

To make this beauty… begin with a card base of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and layer it with a panel of Pool Party that is embossed with the Peaceful Greenery embossing folder. Yes, I used this embossing folder in yesterdays card as well. Set this aside to create the fun fold front… cut 4 1/4 x 11 & score. (see below for all card cuts & scoring info) Attach Traditions of Christmas SDSP panels as shown in next photo. The Basic White panels: the smaller is stamped in Real Red ink using the Traditional Labels stamp set. The larger Basic White panel has the 5/8 wide SDSP strip. The Nests of Winter panel is attached on the ‘back’ of the front fold. Again – see the photo below for reference. I kept the photo in large size in order for you to see all the panels.

Once all pieces are attached to the folded panels, attach ribbon to the back of the folded section, then attach that entire folded section to the embossed panel, centering all around. Tie ribbon into bow to determine placement of sentiment.

Sentiment piece is Real Red & Pool Party layered. The gold foil sentiment is created with the fabulous Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies. All are attached with adhesive, then attached to the card front, centering.

For the envelope I used the same piece of Traditions of Christmas SDSP as the front panels of the card. And that was it. This card is not too heavy and the bulk is enhanced by the bow. In lieu of the bow, a belly band could easily be used.

Finis! What do you think? I love the softness & contrast of the Pool Party against the Real Red. And this would be fun with other papers than this Christmas – I can’t wait to try another.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Greenery EF with Traditions of Christmas DSP

Embossing folders help create wonderful texture on a card and I’ve used the Peaceful Greenery embossing folder to do just that – it’s a great background embossing folder.

I’m leaving the photo in large format so you can really see the embossing folder & how that added texture really makes the. card – at least it does for me! Of course the wonderful die cut from the Traditions of Christmas SDSP is pretty special too. Add in the gold foil and the Traditional Sparkling Sequins and the card is a win/ win. To create the background the floral die cut sits on, I used the Label Me Grateful Dies to die cut from the center of the gold foil used to surround the Cherry Cobbler smaller panel. I cut it in half across the center and adhered a the Basic White die cut from the same Label Me Grateful Dies. The floral die cut is attached with dimensionals while everything else is added with adhesive directly to each layer. Those card cuts will be listed below.

For the inside of the card, I used the Christmas Gallery stamp set to stamp this gorgeous poinsettia in Cherry Cobbler ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink. In the center of the flower is another Traditional Sparkling Sequin in Gold. The Basic White panel was added to the inside of the card.

For the envelope, another panel of the Traditions of Christmas SDSP was added to the flap and another poinsettia & leaves was stamped on the envelope front, which I forgot to photograph!

Here’s the 2nd card… no embossing folder used and while it’s nice, I really prefer the card with the embossing folder. The inside and envelope had the same treatment – and I’ve left them in large format so you can see the difference. :O) Just curious – do you prefer one over the other?

Stampin’ Up! NEW Friendly Foliage in Greens

First of all, happy Veterans Day to all our veterans out there. Thank you for your sacrifices and service to our country. You are amazing human beings and I am so grateful. Big salutes to those who have served in the past, and to those currently serving – bless you… and your families, for they have served in a different way and suffered too. ❤️

Now – my card for today is a NEW November ONLINE EXCLUSIVE release called Friendly Foliage.

This card has some layers… and begins with a card base in Pool Party with a layer of Nests of Winter DSP. The next two layers are Basic White and Woven Textures DSP. These all all attached directly to the card base. The next layers are attached with dimensionals: Basic White layered with another pattern in Nests of Winter then the Basic White stamped & die cut image from Friendly Foliage. This image is the focal point of the card… stamped in Shaded Spruce ink, die cut and attached with liquid glue. I then added Wink of Stella to all the leaves, bringing more attention to the pretty image. I splattered Wink of Stella to the entire card as well. While that was drying, I stamped the sentiment from Friendly Foliage in Pool Party ink on the Basic White strip and added it with dimensionals as well. Final touch… three Opal Rounds.

For the inside of my card I added a layer of Woven textures DSP as a background to my Basic White stamped panel. The sentiment is from Friendly Foliage stamp set and stamped in Pool Party ink. The sweet leaves are a die cut from the beautiful Friendly Foliage Dies.

For the envelope… more of the Nests of Winter DSP was added to the envelope – no naked envelopes for me.

Due to the colors, this is a definite feminine card. When I create with this next, I’m going to really try to make a more masculine one. When my hubby saw this card, he called the image pussy willows and I hadn’t thought of that. Pussy Willows are definitely brown, so next time, masculine, in brown tones. Stampin’ Up! Triple Panel Card with Thoughtful Journey DSP

Hello Saturday! I have two cards for you today – both Triple Panel Cards (my name for them :O) made with a single piece of the Thoughtful Journey DSP. Because of the colors that ebb and flow in this extraordinary DSP, each card has a different color card base – reflecting & highlighting the main ‘theme’ color. Again, these two cards are from the same panel of Thoughtful Journey DSP!

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Journey in Misty Moonlight

Each of the triple panels are 1 x 4 layered on card stock 3 1/4 x 4 1/8. Another layer of Thoughtful Journey DSP (4 x 5 14) was added to the card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). The triple panel was attached to the card base with dimensionals. Each has a coordinating ribbon: 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon in Petunia Pop & 1/4″ Misty Moonlight Ribbon. Both also have Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots on appropriate cards: Berry Burst & Night of Navy. The sentiments are from The Right Words stamp set: Petunia Pop ink die cut with Traditional Labels Dies & Misty Moonlight ink, fussy cut. The sentiments were added with dimensionals over the ribbon.

A strip of Thoughtful Journey was added to each inside panel, one is 1/2″, the other 5/8″. Again, sentiments are in Petunia Pop ink & Misty Moonlight ink using The Right Words stamp set.

What is so interesting about these two cards, is how totally different they are, yet the same design from the same 6×6 piece of Designer Series Paper. Stampin’ Up! just makes it so easy! Love, love.
