Stampin’ Up! Merry Christmas stamp set & Winter Meadow DSP

Hello folks… it’s Sunday and going to be another hot & humid day here on the East Coast The trees are beginning to turn but the weather remains h-o-t! So we adjust, right? But to my card…actually cards – I have three, all with the same layout but with different papers from the Winter Meadows Designer Series Papers. I was on a roll and absolutely loving this new (to me) stamp set. I bought it during the 15% off stamp sale 😀

Card 1: Here I used the patterned paper to cover the card base and to create the strip. For Coordinating colors I used Blueberry Bushel and the 2nd largest of the Branching Out Dies to layer the Basic White sentiment layer. The large Merry Christmas was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink. With this sentiment label on dimensionals I was able to add die cuts of pine boughs & berries die cut in Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon and the berries in Blueberry Bushel. I added Wink of Stella to the berries. The embellishments are Shades of Green Hexagons. On the inside, I die cut the same size panel of Basic White as the white panel on front and stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink using the Gift of Joy stamp set.

Card 2: For this card, I used another of the papers in the Winter Meadow DSP pack for the background and the strip. I used Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper in silver and Garden green for the pine bough die cuts and Real Red for the berries. Wink of Stellas was added to the berries. The ink for the Basic White sentiment panel (Branching Out Dies of course) is Misty Moonlight. The embellishment here is the Traditional Sparkling Sequins. For the inside, I used Misty Moonlight card stock for the layer of the Basic White sentiment panel. The sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and is from the Gift of Joy stamp set.

Card 3: This may be my favorite card… I simply reversed where I used the papers from card 1 – the background paper being the blue and the strip being the patterned side of the Winter Meadow DSP. I again used Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper (this time in blue) to die cut pine boughs and Blueberry Bushel for the berries (yes, Wink of Stella on these berries too!) The embellishments are the Sparkling Snowflakes in green. For the inside… another die cut of the berries from Branching Out Dies, this time using the Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper in blue – was added to a simple trimmed rectangle stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink using the Gift of Joy stamp set.

These are all larger than usual cards as I used a retired set of cards & envelopes to decorate. This layout was part of our Thursday sketch challenge for the blog hop and is a total CASE of the card by Amy Koenders. I want to give her credit after all! As I mentioned earlier – love this new Merry Christmas stamp set! Products to make this card may be found below.

Stampin’ Up! September Fall For Toile Paper Pumpkin Alternates

Good morning happy people. Guess what today is – FRIDAY, for many it is their favorite day… We have a family reunion of sorts planned for Sunday late afternoon & that should be extra fun. I’m very much looking forward to it. 😀

For today, I’m focusing on the Paper Alternates that I made with this month’s kit. I’ll show the ‘planned’ card and then my alternates.

Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP, card 1
Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP card 2, partially open

The card to the left is as intended by Paper Pumpkin. The card to the right is my first alternate, a total CAS from another demonstrator. It uses Country Woods DSP and when lifting the DSP on the right – there is the place to write.

Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP alternate card 2, inside
Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP Alternate card 3, front
Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP Alternate card 3 inside

This is a gatefold card and when open again has the addition of Country Woods DSP adhered to the inside ‘gates’ & a piece of Basic White stamped using the stamps in the Sep. kit.

Above on the left is the card as ‘planned. The card on the right is another z-fold using the PP kit products and only adding a double Linen Thread bow.

Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP Alternate card 6, front

Above is another alternate done in a gatefold. The only addition was a Basic White panel inside for the stamped sentiment. No other additional products were used.

Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP card front 7

The original card as planned. The only addition is Wink of Stella on the pumpkins and the fox.

My next to last alternate and the inside – a flip front card. I cut the original Paper Pumpkin card base in half and added a piece of Early Espresso, adhered a Basic White piece to the inside and stamped the sweet acorn from the PP stamp set. With each of these last three cards i used Wink of Stella on the pumpkin and the fox for a bit of sparkle & fun.

Stampin' Up! Sep Fall for Toile PP alternate card 9, inside

My last card is a joy fold card, and I used Early Espresso to mount the showcase field of corn & Gathering Together SDSP for the inside background. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with this kit. Refills are available if you wish to create these cards. The only thing is… in the refill there is no stamp set or ink spot.

Stazmpin’ Up! has a Paper Pumpkin each month and this next months is sure to fascinate. Here are the particulars – just remember, you must order by Oct 10!

Stampin’ Up! Charming Day Multi Panel Fun Fold

Hello, hello – It’s Saturday and an absolutely gorgeous day. I’m hoping to get some yard work done – yay! So… my cards for today are a fun fold and use the Charming Day bundle and it’s coordinating Designer Series Paper – Floral Charm 12×12. I really like how they turned out – hope you do as well. I’m going to share both cards and in the info at the bottom of the post I’ll list the different colors & embellishments, Stampin’ Blends – like that. The directions are exactly the same for both.

Card 1. Card 2

The card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 2 1/8, 4 1/4 and 6 3/8. This creates four panels all the same width. Burnish these score lines mountain, valley, mountain. Decorate each panel with a card stock layer then a DSP layer: cs layer1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (cut 4); DSP layer1 3/4 x 5 1/8 (cut 4). When cutting the designer series paper, I make certain it’s a flow of the design that creates a picture. Set this aside and work on the front section.

The front… this card stock is cut 6 x 4 & scored at 3, creating two even sections. Burnish score line. Decorate both with a coordinating DSP layer 2 3/4 x 3 3/4. The left section is the side with the added layers of decoration while the right is used for your written message. The section on the right, add a Basic White piece cut 2 5/8 x 3 5/8. Let’s work on further decorating these two sections.

  • Stamp the large floral image using the Charming Day stamp set with Memento ink, stamping two images. Also stamp the small leaf image two times.
  • Color w/ Stampin’ Blends:
    • Card 1 – Blackberry Bliss & Fresh Freesia for the flowers; Light Crumb Cake & SU 300 on the leaves. I used these colors to coordinate with the background DSP. I added Wink of Stella to the flowers, die cut the image and set aside. Color one of the small leaf images using the same colors, die cut & set aside.
  • Stamp the small flower w/ leaves from the Charming Day stamp set – stamping twice in Memento ink.
  • For card 1 – color the flower in Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends, and the leaves in Light Crumb cake & SU! 300. Add Wink of Stella to the flower. Die cut & set aside.
  • Card 2 – large floral image: Bubble Bath for the flowers, Light Old Olive and Light Pretty Peacock for the leaves. TIP: for the leaf color combination I colored one leaf with both colors before moving on to the next leaf. This way the inks were still wet and blended really well. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers, die cut & set aside. Color the 2nd small leaf image using the same comb & same combination of Light Old olive & Light Pretty Peacock, die cut & set aside. Remember the tip of coloring one leaf at a time!
  • Card 2 – small floral image: color flower with Bubble Bath & leaves in same combination of Light Old Olive & Light Pretty Peacock – and remember the tip… add Wink of Stella to the flower, die cut & set aside.

Attach front panels to each card:

  • With the larger card base folded on itself, add the front section. I used my grid paper to make certain the finished card was no wider than 4 1/4″, so it would fit in the standard A2 envelope. Adhere one side down, then the other side.
  • Add extras… Card 1 – I used Everyday Arches Dies to cut a Basic White piece to make the flowers stand out and adhered. The large floral bouqwuet was attached w/ dimensionals and the small leaf spray was added with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment from Charming Day stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink, then added two Purple Fine Shimmer Gems. For the other side of this card, I added the small single flower w/ leaves w/ liquid glue.
  • Card 2 was done in the very same fashion – except that I used Textured Notes Dies for the Basic White panel, Berry Burst ink for the sentiment and Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots for added embellishment.
Stampin' Up! Charming Day Multi Panel Fun Fold right side view card 1
Stampin' Up! Charming Day Multi Panel Fun Fold right side view card 2

Envelope… Coordinating DSP on flaps were added & trimmed to fit. On the front O stamped that sweet small flower and colored each as described above for the individual card. Creating two cards at once was really easy & fun as well. Same layout just different colors.

This is what the card looks like from the top. It stand beautifully for display.

Questions about how to make this card? Connect with me… but I think you will find this a pretty easy card to make. This design/ layout would make a great masculine card – in other DSP patterns & different bundle of course. It would also make a fabulous Christmas card.

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Tags Dies Christmas Card

Good Saturday! It’s humid again here in NJ, and warm. And I thought cool weather might be here to stay – silly me. I have a pretty card for you today made with Peaceful Gardens 3D embossing folder and a new item from the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog – the Patterned Tags Dies. I’m displaying the tag with pine boughs, a rather intricate die.

Stampin' Up! Patterned Tags Dies C'mas Card front

I started with a card base of Basic Beige and added a layer of Basic Beige run through the Peaceful Gardens 3D embossing folder. Next is an elegant front panel in layers: Basic Beige, Gold Foil and Season of Elegance Specialized DSP added to the front with dimensionals. Now, I could have stopped here and simply added a sentiment and embellishments. Instead, I added this fun tag die cut from Shaded Spruce and Summer Splash. After adhering those two die cuts together, I added the gorgeous ribbon from the Turte-Y- Awesome suite of products – Bordered Ribbon. To this tag I added the Basic White banner die cut with the stitched Shapes Dies on which I added the sentiment die cut from Gold Foil using the Christmas Words Collage Dies. And those pine bough die cuts were attached with dabs a liquid glue – came from the Patterned Tags die. This was attached to the card front with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Patterned Tags Dies card inside

On the inside of the card, i added more of the pine boughs with liquid glue and another of the sentiments die cut from Gold Foil using the Christmas Words Collage Dies – all to the Basic White panel.

Stampin' Up! Patterned Tags Dies C'mas Card & envelope

For the envelope… another piece of the Season of Elegance Specialized DSP to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front, another of the pine bough die cuts from the tag adhered in place.

The layout for this card was inspired by Susan Campfield, a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. Below are the dimensions for making this card. The products to make this card are available from both the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog and from the Annual Catalog. You may find those items below, go directly to my store to purchase.

For every order of $50 & above from Sep. 3 to Sep 10, I will send not only the monthly tutorial (for September (it’s the Amber Autumn bundle!), but a package of the Hues of Blue Flowers. Stampin’ Up! Prairie Grass and Thoughtful Journey

Good Tuesday, Sep 2 and 55 degrees here at the shore in NJ – not typical weather for this early in the month. When the kids return to school it is usually hot as blazes. But not this year… My card today is more than just thinking of you; it’s recognizing that life is not always easy. I used the Prairie Grass stamp set from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES – it’s available to customers now. It’s become a favorite for things peaceful, restful, reassuring.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Journey, & Prairie Grass

I cut 1″ strips of Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP (1 x 5 3/8) and added them to a Basic White background. Next I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink using the Prairie Grass stamp set. I took a length of Mossy Meadow & Gold trim, wrapped it around and tied a knot, securing it with a glue dot. I then added three Low Profile Sparkle Dtos under the sentiment. Finally, I added a single Adhesive-Backed Dragonfly. This completed front panel was added to a Mossy Meadow card base.

For the inside of the card, I stamped this grassy image four times across the bottom with Mossy Meadow ink. And yes, the stamp comes from Prairie Grass stamp set. I added three more of the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies as they are very flat and so appropriate for this grassy scene. I adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card and voila – this card is ready to send.

Stampin' Up! Prairie Grass and Thoughtful Journey card & envelope

For the envelope… yet another panel of the Thoughtful Journey 6×6 was adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. Again on the front, I stamped the same grassy image in Mossy Meadow ink from Prairie Grass stamp set to carry out the theme. This card will be sent today to a friend of mine who lives near the beach and diagnosed with ALS. Such an awful disease….

Tomorrow, Wednesday Sep 3, the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog will be open to ordering by customers – AND – there are some fabulous new ONLINE EXCLUSIVE products that can be ordered as well. If you do not have a demonstrator, I’d love to help you find your creative side. Click the image below to take you to my shop for purchases.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Greenery + Label Me Grateful Dies

It’s Labor Day! Do you have plans to labor – or will you use this as a day to gather w/ friends & family? I have a card today made with lots of Basic White and just a bit of color. I used watercolor paper to create the focal green branch and the stunning Christmas Greenery Dies. The leaves are die cut from simple Basic White, using the Label Me Grateful Dies. But I get ahead of myself – let’s look at the card.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Greenery + Label Me Grateful Dies card front

The card base is Thick Basic White with two layers of regular weight Basic White added to create depth. Using the Label Me Grateful Dies, I die cut two same size labels, cut one in half and adhered it behind the other. This was attached, centered on the card front, with dimensionals. I die cut the branch of leaves in white and attached it with liquid glue. The watercolor pine bough is attached with dimensionals. I added a simple double Linen Thread bow with a glue dot – and that was it!

To create color on the watercolor paper…. I wet the entire piece with water, squeezed each ink pad container to get some ink in the lid, added a bit of water to that and simply added it to the watercolor paper. I used three colors – Granny Apple Green, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. Once dry I die cut two of the pine boughs and some other things too. Bur for our purposes today – it’s just the pine bough that’s important. Here’s the watercolor paper after die cutting.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Greenery Dies and watercolor paper

for the inside of the card…I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink using the Traditional Labels stamp set and added a 1/2 x 4 strip of Old Olive from Floral Delight DSP. I added the Basic White panel to the inside of the card and bam – all done.

Stampin' Up! Traditional Labels sentiment inside card

For the envelope, some of the same Floral Delight DSP in Old Olive for the flap, trimmed to fit.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Greenery and Label Me Grateful Dies card & envelope

These items will be available Wednesday Sep 3 and are in the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog showcased on pages 21-27 as parts of the Traditions of Christmas Suite. They may be purchased as a suite or individually. Click the catalog image below to shop with me.

Stampin’ Up! NEW Gathering Moments

Good Friday – my goodness August is flittering away – Monday is LABOR DAY! Today’s card is all about fall and it uses a September Release ONLINE EXCLUSIVE. The bundle is Gathering Moments.

Stampin' Up! Gathering Moments bundle
Stampin' Up! Gathering Moments card front

The card has a Basic Beige front from which I die cut the large leaf with Gathering Moments Dies. I wanted to use the Timeless Plaid 6×6 DSP behind the die cut but on an angle. This meant an odd shape for cutting the DSP and it needed to be slightly smaller than the Basic Beige card front. Once I cut the DSP I added it to an Old Olive panel and that to the card base of Cajun Craze.

Stampin' Up! Old Olive w/ Timeless Plaid 6x6 DSP
Stasmpin' Up! Gathering Moments die cut w/ dimensionals on back

I put dimensionals all over the back of the die cut panel and adhered it to the the card. I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink using the Gathering Moments stamp set and die cut the basic White with Textured Notes Dies. I cut a piece of Old Olive for a backing, adhered the two together and added them directly to the card front. I tied a double bow with Natural Tones Linen Thread then added three Cajun Craze and Gold Dots.

Stampin' Up! Gathering moments card front unfinished
Stampin' Up! Gathering Moments inside card

For the inside… I used the die cut that came out of the front die cut to stamp the sentiment from Gathering Moments in Cajun Craze ink. I added this to a Basic White panel then both to Old Olive then to the inside of the card base..

Stampin' Up! Gathering moments card & envelope

For the envelope, more of the Timeless Plaid 6×6 DSP on the flap trimmed to fit, then a single leaf stamped on the front: Gathering Moments stamp set in Old Olive ink. Totally fall – good for a masculine card too!

Stampin’ Up! Brighten Your Day Kit

Our Internet is quite spotty & intermittent today so not sure if this will publish appropriately. I’ve been trying all morning.

This is such a beautiful kit and I had promised to share photos of my completed cards a few days ago. I had a difficult reaction to a vaccine that really set me back for two straight days. Thanks goodness that is behind me!

Each card in this kit has a laser-cut delicate design – so three designs for nine cards, make sense? I made one each of the ‘prescribed’ card designs and here they are

Stampin' Up! Brighten Ypour Day Kit original

These first three cards are the original ‘plan’ of the kit and they show Fresh Freesia, Basic Beige and Balmy Blue. These next two images are of the birds with a card base of Balmy Blue on the left and Lost Lagoon on the right, both using what had been the original base as part of a layer for the card front.

With the remaining cards bases, I trimmed each down to 41/8 x 5 3/8, thereby making a card front panel and an inside panel with each supplied card base. Here are my completed cards – nothing fancy or over the top done, just incorporated an additional card base.

Below left has a card base of Balmy Blue with the original card base as a layer for the laser-cut image. Below right uses Lost Lagoon as the card base

These two cards show card bases in Highland Heather for the left card and Fresh freesia for the right card, again using the original card base as a front layer.

I took a LOT more pictures but they just didn’t turn out that well so I have not included them – bummer!

OK – so this is one of the fabulous kits Stampin’ Up! is offering. There is always something going on… remember there are changes coming to the packaging for both photopolymer stamps and dies. Also, rubber stamps are being discontinued. Both of these will take effect at the end of each catalog. What that means is at the end of both the Sep-Dec 2025 catalog and the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog, no more rubber stamps. For full disclosure, check this post. It will give you measurements of the new packaging and you’ll see a glimpse of a new bundle available in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES for November. There is also a video you can access.

Other items of interest… the In Color Sale ends Aug 31 and here it is the 22nd. Click the link in the image below to shop those products!

If you do not have a demonstrator and need the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog – please give me a shout-out. I’m here to help you have fun in this crafting world! And if you see LOTS of items on your wish list, consider joining my team, become apart of the Stampin’ Up! party, craft with others, learn new techniques, receive at least 20% off each order, attend a convention or two, or three 😀, get catalogs early to play with new products, JOIN HERE with me.

Stampin’ Up! NEWS FLASH!

Stampin’ Up! is making some changes and they are coming SOON! I don’t want you to be left out or too surprised – so here’s the scoop…

Cling Stamps (Red Rubber)

Stampin’ Up! has decided to discontinue their cling stamp line due to challenges in sourcing the necessary raw materials. While they currently have access to enough raw materials to continue production for the time being, the supply has become increasingly inconsistent, and certain key raw materials are no longer being manufactured. They’re choosing to make this change now to ensure a smoother, more strategic transition—with minimal disruption. They will continue to offer a wide range of photopolymer stamps to support various artistic styles and techniques.

Here are some specifics about the transition from cling stamps to photopolymer:

Stampin’ Write Markers – Discontinuing and Available While Supplies Last Starting Tomorrow, 20 Aug 2025!

Stampin’ Up! has also decided to discontinue Stampin’ Write Markers. With the growing popularity of Stampin’ Blends, they’ve seen a steady decline in sales of Stampin’ Write Markers. One of the primary techniques unique to Stampin’ Write Markers is coloring directly on cling stamps—a technique that will become less relevant as we transition away from cling stamps.

Here are a few details about the Stampin’ Write Markers:

Stampin' Up! Marker info

New And Improved Stamp And Die Packaging

As part of Stampin’ Up!’s transition away from cling stamps, Stampin’ Up! is excited to introduce updated packaging for stamps and dies! Because photopolymer stamps are thinner, they’re able to offer sleeker, slimmer packaging that saves space. Both stamps and dies will now come in the same size and style of packaging, making it easier than ever to store bundles and coordinating products together (WooHoo!). The new packaging is similar to their current die packaging—durable, clear plastic envelopes—but with an exciting improvement: Die packaging will now feature printed artwork for quick and easy identification! Stamp packaging will continue to display artwork as well.

Good Sunday morning! I’ve a sweet Perfectly Pears card for you today and I paired it with a new die set from the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog called Branching Out Dies. It has a stamp set as well, but I’m not using that today.

Stampin' Up! Perfectly Pears card front

This new die is shown here in the Basic Beige – as a background for the pears. The leaves of thew pears cover the top of the die cut, but it’s the same as the bottom. There are at least 6 of these layering dies in the set, plus some other fun dies as well. It’s wonderful. How to make this card…

The card base is Mossy Meadow with a layer of Darling Duckling then a layer of Painterly Pears DSP. Next I die cut the Basic Beige with the Branching Out dies and added it. With another piece of the Painterly Pears DSP and the Perfectly Pears Dies, I die cut the two pears and the stem/ leaves. Using another die in the Perfectly Pears Dies and Lemon Lime Twist, I die cut the open weave image. I adhered the stem/ leaves to each pear, then attached them to the card front: the darker pear is adhered directly and the lighter pear is on dimensionals. I slipped the open weave die cut under the pears and attached with dabs of liquid glue. The leaves of the darker pear do have dimensionals. Once everything was innplace, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink. It comes from the Perfectly Pears stamp set. Final touch – three Low Profile Sparkle Dots in Old Olive and a double Linen Thread bow added with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Perfectly Pears inside card

For the inside…on a panel of Basic White… the pear comes from the Perfectly Pears stamp set… inked first in Darling Duckling then Lemon Lime Twist added with a sponge dauber and stamped on the panel. The stem’ leaves are also from this stamp set and are inked with Old Olive and Early Espresso Markers. This was attached to aDarling Duckling panel then added to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Perfectly Pearas card & envelope

For the envelope… The same Painterly Pears DSP was added to the flap & trimmed to fit. The pear was stamped using the same method as above – using the Perfectly Pears stamps, Darling Duckling and Lemon Lime Twist inks for the pear and Old Olive and Early Espresso markers for the stem’ leaves. This is such a fabulous suite of products!
