Good Monday! It’s going to be another gorgeous day here on the East coast – sunny & 71! I have two cards to share with you today, both with the same layout, just different colors. I used the stunning rose image in the Gallery Blooms bundle, the coordinating Damask Designs embossing folder and for sentiments, the Beautiful Motifs stamp set (part of a bundle). Both use Subtles 6×6 DSP in Petal Pink and Gray Granite card stock. Let’s look…
I stamped the roses in Memento black ink and colored each with Stampin’ Blends: Petal Pink, Old Olive & Lemon Lime Twist for the card on left and Gray Granite, Old Olive & Lemon Lime Twist for the card on right. I’m just curious, do you have a preference? I used the framing dies in the Gallery Blooms dies to die cut from Gray Granite, Subtles 6×6 DSP & Basic White the two portions of the framing: the center portion and the ‘frame’ of that. I pieced these together as you see and attached to a slightly larger panel – Petal Pink and Gray Granite. These were attached to the card base. Oh… and the card with the pink roses – I embossed a separate piece of Basic White and attached it to the card front before adhering the rest. The roses are added with dimensionals. On each is a bow – Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack in gray and Scalloped Ribbon in Petal Pink. I tied each around the stem holding them in polace with either liquid glue or a glue dot. The embellishments are Low Profile Dots in pink and Neutral Matte Dots in black. The sentiments are both from Beautiful Motifs stamp set, stamped on scraps of Basic White with Memento ink. Each was attached with dimensionals.
I stamped the small rose bouquet from Gallery Blooms in Memento ink on a Basic White panel & colored in Stampin’ Blends as before: Petal Pink or Gray Granite for the roses, Old Olive & Lemon Lime Twist on the leaves. Each was adhered to the appropriate card.
This envelope has an added strip of Subtles 6×6 DSP to the flap & trimmed to fit. I used a one of the Basic Borders Dies to create to delicate stitching at the edge of the DSP & on the envelope. I stamped the front in Petal Pink using a stamp from Gallery Blooms stamp set.
On this envelope, a strip of the Subtles 6×6 DSP was added to the flap & trimmed to fit. A different image from Gallery Blooms stamp set was stamped in Petal Pink on the envelope front.
I am curious if you have a preference in the cards – Petal Pink or Gray Granite. Not certain for me…

It’s funny how things come about…. I needed a sympathy card and on my desk was a 4 x 5 1/4 panel already embossed with the Changing Leaves Hybrid embossing folder – and I said, why not! And here’s how it turned out…
Gosh, this photo is not the best! Yes, the embossed panel is Crushed Curry as are the die cut leaves, and from the Changing Leaves Dies. The panel is set on dimensionals on a Copper Clay card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The two outside leaves are attached with dimensionals asa well and the middle leaf simply tucked in and adhered at the stem end, which you cannot see. The sentiment panel is Basic Beige stamped in Crushed Curry ink and die cut with a die from Thoughtful Expressions Dies. The sentiment comes from Something Fancy stamp set. And the Linen Thread is a double bow slipped just under the corner of the sentiment with a glue dot. My final touch was the Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots. I love all the texture and elegance of this card.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in crushed Curry ink but the message is from Hope You Know stamp set – and on a Basic Beige 4 x 5 1/4 panel.
For the envelope… I embossed a 2 1/4 x 6 panel of Crushed Curry card stock with the Changing Leaves Hybrid embossing folder, adhered it and trimmed to fit the flap. The leaf on the front of the envelope is from Autumn Expressions stamp set, stamped in Crushed Curry ink, then added Wink of Stella to the inside of the leaf. It looks very cool – again a bit of texture and glam too. And even though this is a sympathy card, the glam is not overdone. I’ve already passed this card on to the person for whom it was made – and they loved it.

Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day!
Happy Mother’s Day all you readers… You may remember last weekend I attended a convention, a one of my fellow ‘conventioners’ asked for a special graduation card as the graduate is going into auto mechanics. I pulled out Trusty Tools to see what I could do. I also used a couple of other stamp sets.
This doesn’t look much like a graduation card, does it? At least not on the front. Here’s what I did though… I pulled out Boho Blue for the card base (school colors are blue and something else, the woman couldn’t remember) … and stamped the front with what looks like parts welded together, stamped in Smoky Slate. It comes from the new & fabulous Adventurous Sky stamp set. Next I die cut this center panel that looks like a peg board from new Textured Metallic Specialty 12×12 Paper. The color is Tungsten. From the Trusty Tools stamp set and coordinating dies, I pulled out items that I thought an auto mechanic would typically use – wrenches bolts, nuts and an oil can. I stamped in Memento ink the adjustable wrench, the other items I simply die cut. The oil can is from Silver Foil Sheets and cut twice, the other being Blueberry Bushel. I trimmed off the blue oil can top and adhered the blue bottom to the silver oil can – for contrast. I put this on dimensionals and added it to the peg board. The one wrench – the non adjustable one – is adhered directly with liquid glue, the adjustable one is on dimensionals. The screw & bolts are attached with glue as well. I added the peg board to the card front with mini dimensionals.
I began the inside by cutting the toolbox bottom from Country Woods DSP. I adhered the base to the Basic White inside panel then attached the leftover hole centers from the peg board to the holes created by the toolbox bottom die cut. (Clever me!!) Using another piece of the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper in Tungsten, I die cut the handle and added it as well. Then it was – now what??? I pulled out Cap & Gown stamp set and stamped the cap in Memento ink & ‘Class of’ in Blueberry Bushel. I stamped the sentiment on the toolbox using the Trusty Toolbox stamp – again in Blueberry Bushel ink. The numbers (Boho Blue ink) & stars (Blueberry Bushel ink) come from Alphabest stamp set, a retired one. The gold hearts are from it’s coordinating dies.
Since there was noway to send a written greeting on the inside of the card, I added another piece of Basic White to the back of the card. On it is the sentiment stamped in Blueberry Bushel from the Cap & Gown stamp set.
For the envelope, I did a simple stamp of the cap in Blueberry Bushel and the diploma in Memento black ink – both from the Cap & Gown stamp set.
The 24-25 Annual Catalog is now live… here’s a link to take you directly to the items available in this catalog. The Trusty Tools bundle is in the encore section. The Adventurous Sky bundle is in the Suites section. The cap & Gown stamp set can be found in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. Happy shopping!

Welcome, welcome! We have a sketch challenge today and I’m excited to share new products from the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog :O)
Winter Meadow 12 x 12 DSP is the focus of this card front. Isn’t this paper just gorgeous? It’s soft colors and stunning nature designs just take my breath away. The sketch challenge could have been used with any of the papers from this pack. I used Bordered Ribbon in Lost Lagoon as a nice contrast between the two papers. I adhered the Winter Meadow Designer Series Papers to a Misty Moonlight panel, wrapped the ribbon around the seamline securing it in back with Stampin’ Seal. I put dimensionals on these and attached them to a Misty Moonlight card base. The sentiment is from the Magical Meadow stamp set and is stamped on a Basic White piece in Misty Moonlight ink. It was die cut with a rounded corner die from the Nested Essentials Dies in the Annual Catalog. The sentiment banner was added to the card front with dimensionals. Three Faceted Gems from the Trio Pack were added – in Lost Lagoon, one of the colors in the nature scene.
For the inside of the card, I stamped images that resmble the card front – from the Magical Meadows stamp set. The ink colors were Misty Moonlight, stamped off once, then a second time for the second image; Garden Green ink & Shaded Spruce ink, also second generation. These were stamped mon a Basic White panel then it was adhered to the inside of the card.
For the envelope I did the same stamping on the flapas the inside of the card, allowing it to overhang the envelope front. In the lower left corner I used this fabulous snowflake die from Magical Meadows Dies to create interest. I slipped a thin paper in the envelope before running it through the die cutting machine in hopes it would not go through to the back of the envelope. It did anyway, but it worked and looks fine. LOVE this bundle… the coordinating Winter Meadows Designer Series papers are stunning. I cannot wait ton play more with this suite of products.
Now… it’s time to see what the rest of the ‘krew’ have prepared for the hop challenge today. Click on the ‘next’ button or click on a name. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day!
Good Wednesday morning! I’ve been a bit ‘stuck’ working with many new products from the 2023 Sep-Dec Mini Catalog that goes live September 6, and today I wanted to share a card using the Countryside Inn 12 x 12 Designer Series Papers.
What’s great about this fold is it can be used with a variety of Designer Series Papers, making it as masculine or feminine as your heart desires. And it’s super easy to do as well
Begin with a card base 4n 1/4 x 11 and score at 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 along the long side. Burnish well, then add adhesive between the two score lines, close the card, then open.
The book fold look like the photo above when viewed from the top.
Now the fun part is determining the Designer Series Papers to use. And, as you see, I have two layers on my card, which you would not necessarily need to do. For this paper I felt the contrasting Basic White really set off the Countryside Inn DSP. (Dimensions will be included at the bottom of this post.)
For this particular cart, I wanted ton keep the decoration fairly simple – and chose to use the Countryside Corners Dies and the new Autumn Leaves stamp set for the appropriate sentiments. From Basic White, I used the smallest of the rectangular dies to die cut the Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment on a Boho Blue strip and stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink, then die cut it with this super tiny banner die that fit the sentiment perfectly – yes, from the Countryside Corners Dies. This Boho Blue strip was added to the Basic White die cut with dimensionals. These were added to the card front with liquid glue. As a final touch, I added three Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems in Boho Blue.
For the inside of the card, I stamped the two sentiments from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the Basic White panel then adhered it in place.
For the envelope I added another panel of Countryside Inn DSP to the flap and a narrow strip at the bottom front of the envelope. Done, done.
I look forward to seeing what you do when creating this book fold card – so please share.
Card cuts:
Night of Navy card base 4 14 x 11` scored on long side at 4 1/2 & 5 1/2
Basic White layer: 7/8 x 4 1/8; 4 3/8 x 4 1/8 (2); 1 1/4 x 3 (banner)
Countryside Inn 12 x 12 DSP: 3/4 x 4; 4 1/4 x 4; 2 1/4 x 6 (flap), 3/16 x 6 (envelope front strip)
Boho Blue: 5/8 x 3 (banner strip)
One of the reasons I became a SU! demonstrator is because of the coordination of their products. When I go into one of the local craft stores, nothing coordinates – in other words, reds vary in intensity, blues are not the same navy, and the same holds true for all the other colors. So if I find a Designer Series Paper that I want to coordinate matching card stock, it doesn’t happen in the local craft store. But in Stampin’ Up!, not only do the Designer Series Papers coordinate, but so do the ribbons and embellishments. If you would like the opportunity to do what I do, join my team – get an automatic 20% off every order, enjoy the Stampin’ Up! creativity experience with other dedicated crafters and get more for your buck. Oh, more new products to share today: Forever Forest Dies, the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder and Adhesive-Backed Star Trinkets :O)
I began by running a Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 panel through the Christmas Tidings EF and layered it on a Pecan Pie card piece just slightly larger. I wrapped a red ribbon around it from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack (annual catalog), securing it in back with Stampin’ Seal. These were added to a Thick Basic White card base with dimensionals (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.) I punched the bear from A Walk in the Forest DSP using the Beary Cute Punch. And yes, this punch also coordinates with the Beary Christmas 12×12 DSP – YAY! The trees were die cut using the Forever Forest Dies from Shimmer Paper. There are several tree sizes in this set of dies, so it’s a matter of deciding which ones to use. I adhered the smaller tree so the base sat inside the ribbon, the larger tree is on dimensionals and overlaps the ribbon. I adhered the bear with dimensionals as well – as though it is ‘walking to the forest’. The final touch was this stunning Adhesive-Backed Star Trinket at the top of the taller tree. All these new items will be available in the Mini Sep-Dec 2023 Catalog come September 6!
For the inside… I used another new product… the Tiny Christmas Tree Dies to die cut the border of the Basic White inside panel. Are those tiny trees too cute or what?! And I saved the die cut trees to use later :O) This die can be used as a card front as well – look for that in the near future! The sentiment is stamped in Real Red ink using another new stamp set, Magical Meadow. This Basic White panel was adhered to a Pecan Pie piece and attached to the inside of the card.
For the envelope, another piece of Basic White was run through the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder, attached to the envelope flap & trimmed to fit. I used three of the die cut trees from the Tiny Christmas Trees Die to adhere to the envelope front – and they are perfect there!

Welcome to another Thursday… and the amazing Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have a color challenge for this hop.
I found the directions for this card and it seemed a clever way of making the card more flexible – and just had to give it a try. Susan Campfield was the demonstrator and had another name for it. Here’s what it looks like open.
Notice how there is a gap between the front of the card and the back of the card – that’s the split. And here’s how the card looks from the top.
Directions to make this card are not all that complicated – and all the colors for the color challenge are in the DSP :O) I used Blueberry Bushel for the card base, Pretty Peacock for stamping one of the sentiments and Bubble Bath and Lemon Lime Twist are in the DSP – so we’re good.
Cut the card base back from Blueberry Bushel 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Cut the card front in two parts: Blueberry Bushel 1 3/4 x 5 12 & Masterfully Made DSP 3 x 5 1/2
Adhere the two front panels together so they measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Cut the ‘M’ section from Blueberry Bushel 11 x 4 3/4 and score on the long side @ 2 3/4, 5 1/2, 8 1/4. Burnish as valley, mountain, valley as shown above.
Decorate panels as desired: Basic White layers are 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
Panel 1 is stamped with Pretty Peacock ink using the Charming stamp set; Radiating Stitches Dies was used to die cut the heart from Masterfully Made DSP
Panel 2 is a layer of Masterfully Made DSP 2 14 x 4 1/4 on the Basic White panel
Panel 3 is the same Masterfully Made DSP pattern as the heart, cut 1 x 4 1/4 adhered to the Basic White panel. Here I will write my message.
Panel 4 is this pretty stamp from Gorgeously Made stamp set, stamped with Pretty Peacock ink, stamped off once. Over that is another sentiment, this time from So Sincere stamp set (available Sep.6 in the Mini Sep-Dec 2023 Catalog) in full strength Blueberry Bushel ink on the Basic White panel.
On the inside of the back of the card, I used the Gorgeously Made stamp set and Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp these pretty images
Adhere the now decorated ‘M’ fold to the inside of the card front, keeping bottom edges even with card front; secure to back in same fashion.
Decorate the card front:
The sentiment was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink to a Basic White scrap using the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set, then die cut with the coordinating Wonderful Thoughts Dies. This was adhered to the card front with dimensionals cut in half. Three Berry Burst embellishments were added from the Tinsel Gems 4 Pack.
I used another pattern of the Masterfully Made DSP to adhere to the envelope, trimmed to fit – 2 1/4 x 6.
Fun card to make! I hope you give it a try and share your photos with me.

It’s Sunday and a glorious 60 degrees! But what that also says to me is summer is coming to an end… and I’m sad about that. Don’t get me wrong, fall is gorgeous, but there is something about the long days of summer that I really like; dawn at 5 AM and sun going down about 9:30 PM. This card is another sneaky peek at the Beary Cute stamp set and coordinating DSP. I love these bears, their faces mostly, whimsical.
The bear was fussy cut from the Beary Christmas 12×12 DSP. I put dimensionals on him & set this aside. The next was die cutting this gorgeous die from Holographic Trio DSP using the Christmas Classics Dies. As you can see, the die has lots of detail. I did peel one of the layers off the back to make the paper a bit thinner; then sprayed it lightly on the back with water to soften it. Then I ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine. :O) I next die cut the layer on which the bear is attached – a die from the Christmas Classics Dies and from Earthen Textures DSP. I put dimensionals on this and attached it to the larger die cut, then added the bear. I cut a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and ran it through the NEW Snowflake Sky 3D embossing Folder. This will be available to customer Sep 6 in the Mini Sep-Dec 2023 Catalog. If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up catalog yet, please connect with me & I’ll get it in the mail ASAP!
Next I created the Dutch Door card base: Very Vanilla card stock cut 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. On the short side, cut at 2 1/8 to the score line. Remove paper, rotate and cut along score line to the 2 1/8 cut, removing the top front half of the card base. (Save this for the inside of the card.) And that’s your dutch door! I ran that bottom ‘door’ through the same Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder to create more texture for the card. I added the square decorated panel with the bear, adhering it just to the ‘door’ of the card front, centering it. I added three Festive Pearls in silver.
I cut a length of the Beary Christmas 12×12 DSP 2 x 5 3/8 and adhered it to the top half of the inside card base. The removed Very Vanilla panel to make the dutch door, was cut down to 2 x 5 3/8. I stamped this cute bear in Misty Moonlight ink using the Beary Cute stamp set. I adhered this to the inside of the card and worked on the sentiment. On a scrap of Very Vanilla, I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink using Beary Cute stamp set. I angled the ends, added dimensionals and attached it in the center of the card. I added three Festive Pearls in silver.
For the envelope: more of the same pattern from Beary Christmas 12×12 DSP for the flap trimmed to fit; and this adorable bear stamped across the envelope front in Misty Moonlight ink using the Beary Cute stamp set.

Good Thursday morning! How’s your week going? Mine is good, lots going on, but that’s OK. Working with others is medicine for my soul :O) We have a sketch challenge for our hop today and I’m excited to share a new product from the Mini Sep-Dec 2023 Catalog – or maybe a few new products. :O)
Let me just say, I am LOVING this bundle! This comes in a suite of products called Joy Of Christmas and includes two stamp sets with dies, stunningly glorious DSP (2 packs), ribbon and gems & sequins. They may be found on pages 28-31 in the Min Sep-Dec 2023 Catalog. If you don’t have a catalog, reach out to me… I can ‘fix’ that!
This is a slimline card… card base is Shaded Spruce card stock with a layer of some of this gorgeous Joy of Christmas 12 x 12 DSP then a layer of Vellum adhered to that and a smaller piece of another panel of the Joy of Christmas 12×12 DSP. Then… I took out this glorious die for the background banner. It includes these off-shoots of leaves and holly, etc. I decided to die cut from yet another panel of the Joy of Christmas 12×12 DSP. I pulled out the Joy of Noel Dies to die cut holly (from Garden Green card stock) and pine sprigs (from Shaded Spruce card stock.) These were added to the back of the banner die cut from DSP with Stampin’ Seal then added to the card front with dimensionals. I pulled out a Basic White scrap and stamped this fun mixed font message which is from Christmas Classics stamp set and stamped it in Shaded Spruce ink. I die cut that with a die from the Christmas Classics Dies and added it to the larger banner with dimensionals. I added the Real Red gems from the Loose Holly and Gems & Sequins Pack.
For the inside of the card… a piece of Real Red card stock with a layer of Basic White. Before adhering the Basic White panel I stamped it with the holly in Shaded Spruce ink, then the sentiment in Real Red ink. Both come from Christmas Classics stamp set.
Stampin’ Up! does not have envelopes that fit this size card, but I happened to have one in red :O). I stamped the cute holly stamp in Shaded Spruce ink on the front and on the envelope flap – and then didn’t take a picture of it. Ugh!
Card cuts for this card:
Shaded Spruce (card base): 7 x 8 1/2 scored @ 3 1/2 on the short side
Joy of Christmas 12×12 DSP: 2 5/8 x 8 1/2; 1 3/4 x 5 (plaid strip); 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 (banner die cut)
Vellum : 2 5/8 x 5 12
Real Red: 3 x 8 (inside)
Basic White: 2 1/2 x 7 1/2 (inside); 1 x 3 3/4 (front sentiment banner)
