Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

WooHoo – it’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Blog Hop 😀 I’ve created a couple of cards for you today using different Designer Series Papers – all with the same layout, but reversed.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Gallery DSP challenge
Stampin' Up! Country woods. hop challenge

Isn’t it interesting how different these look with the same design but one very feminine and the other masculine. I love the contrast – and the simplicity as well.

Let me give you the highlights of these two cards. Card 1 – the feminine one is a sympathy card that uses just a half sheet of Beautiful Gallery 6×6 DSP (so 3 x 5 1/4), then another 1″ strip of a different piece in the pack (1 x 5 1/4) then a piece of Basic Beige torn edge about 3/4 x 5 1/4, adhered just on the straight side. I used the Spotlight On Nature Dies to die cut the larger circle to be a background for the sent; adhering the Basic Beige circle also die cut with another of the Spotlight on Nature Dies. The sentiment was stamped in Secret Sea ink using The Right Words stamp set. The ribbon is Faux Linen Ribbon in Cloud Cover – did I mention the card base is Cloud Cover? The sentiment panel was attached over the ribbon with dimensionals. Pressed Flower Motifs were added to the sentiment.

Card 2 – the masculine birthday card uses Country Woods DSP (3 x 5 1/4) and another piece 1 x 5 1/4. The torn Basic White strip is about 1/2 x 5 1/4 and adhered just on the straight side. The sentiment is from The Right Words stamp set stamped in Misty moonlight ink on Basic White and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies. This was added to the card front with dimensionals and three Neutral Matte Dots went underneath.

Obviously the larger card panels are reversed and with different DSP used, they are hardly recognizable as the same layout.

For the inside…

Stampin' Up! Sympathy card 1inside
Stampin' Up! Birthday card inside

Card on left is stamped in Secret Sea ink on a Basic Beige panel 4 x 5 1/4 and adhered in place. Card on right is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel 4 x 5 1/4. Both sentiments are from The Right Words stamp set.

for the envelopes: more of the Beautiful Gallery DSP on the envelope flap for the sympathy card and more Country Woods DSP on the birthday card – done!

Stampin’ Up! 25-27 In Color Cards

Good Monday morning. How was your weekend.? I’m making progress after knee replacement: can’t drive yet as it’s the right knee, so chauffeuring is the mode of transportation for a while yet. I’ve set up a table on our main floor for card making and was finally able to work at the table for more than 15 minutes! In shifts of time, I’ve made these four cards – all with the 25-27 In Color 6×6 DSP pack Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling. For the sentiments I used the new The Right Words stamp set and cut them out with Nested Essential Dies or the Everyday Details Dies. I added White Bakers Twine from the Twine Essentials Pack and on some, 25-27 In color Flat Pearls. Let’s look.

Stampin' Up! Timid Tiger card front.1
Stampin' Up! Darling Duckling card.1

These two cards are the same except the panels widths were switched, making the largest panel to the right as opposed to the left.

Stampin' Up! Timid Tiger card.2
Stampin' Up! Darling Duckling card.2

Here I did the same, reversed the largest panel and used another of the fun papers in the 25-27 In Color 6×6 DSP pack with the same colors Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling.

I kept the inside very simple – no stamping, just a strip of the DSP either on the side or at the bottom of the Basic White panel.

Stampin' Up! Timid Tiger card inside
Stampin' Up! Darling Duckling card inside

Just this little strip dresses up the inside :O) One of the nice aspects of using a layout like this is one full 6×6 will make one card, using the extra pieces for the inside of the card and the envelope flap.

Card cuts…

  • Begin by cutting a panel 3 1/4 x 4 3/4, then trimming that to: 3/4 x 4 3/4, 1 x 4 3/4 and 1 1/2 by 4 3/4. (this will leave a 2 3/4 x 6 strip for covering the flap and adding a strip to the inside of the card)
  • Adhere panels, reversing sides of the DSP as desired to a Basic White cut 3 9/16 x 4 7/8
  • Wrap with Bakers Twine 3 times and tie a bow
  • Stamp sentiment in Cloud Cover ink on Basic White scraps and die cut, adding to the panel with dimensionals.
  • Add finished panel to card front with dimensionals: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, or 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
  • Add embellishments
  • Add 2 1/4 x 6 strip to envelope flap, trim to fit. This will leave about 1/2″ for card inside
  • Add cut down strip to inside of card

Now you have a small stack of cards for various occasions – and this can be done with the other colors in this pack as well, making certain some can be used for masculine cards.

I’ve used Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink and Old Olive.

Stampin’ Up! Kintsugi Inspirations Suite Fun Fold

Gosh – we are heading into Memorial Day weekend – how did that happen?! We are having unseasonably cool weather here in South Jersey – and hubby has built a fire for us. Who would have thought the end of May and 48 degrees at night…

To my card… this is a fun fold using the brand new suite in the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog titled Kintsugi Inspirations. It has stunning Specialty Designer Series Paper, meaning there is gold running through it, Flower Accents a 3D Embossing Folder and of course the Inspiring Imperfections Bundle. The only item I did not use on this card is the embossing folder.

This fun fold is called an Exploding Corner Card. This particular card is made in the portrait style, with the exploding corner in the upper left. Let’s take a look.

Stampin' Up! Inspiring Imperfections Fun Fold card front

I began with a a piece of the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty 12×12 DSP cut 6 3/4 x 8. With the short side against the trimmer, score at 2 3/4″. Turn paper to the left & along the long side, score at 2 3/4″. Burnish those score lines. With the short side at the top and the score on the left, mark 2 3/4″ to the right of the score line. Turn paper to the right with long side at top and mark 2 3/4″ to the left of the score line. Place this in the paper trimmer & score from mark to mark & burnish. It should look like this. Notice how the diagonal score line goes directly through the intersection of the other two score lines!

Stampin' Up! Exploding Corner card score lines

Add this fun folded DSP to a Misty Moonlight panel 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

Because of the designs I chose in the Kintsugi Inspirations SDSP pack, Misty Moonlight was used as the card base, cut 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. While still having Misty Moonlight in your hands, make these cuts: 2 3/4 x 4 1/2 (this is the card front panel); 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 ( this is for the inside square corner); and 3 3/4 x 5 (this is the inside right panel layer). Now cut Basic White: 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 (for front panel) & 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 (for inside panel.)

Additional DSP cuts: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 (cut 2), cutting one on diagonal; 2 1/4 x 2 1/4.

  • Add the 2 1/4 SDSP square to Misty Moonlight 2 1/2 square then add to inside corner (refer to photo above)
  • Add diagonal cut SDSP pieces as shown in photo above
  • Add the 3 3/4 x 5 Misty Moonlight to the inside right section of the card
  • Stamp the Basic White 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 as desired & add over the Misty Moonlight piece. I used the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set & Misty Moonlight ink for this.
  • Die cut the vase using the Inspiring Inspiration Dies directly from the Kintsugi Inspirations SDSP 😀 (love being able to do this!) Add to inside panel as shown
  • Die cut the flower from the same piece of SDSP and add to the Basic White stamped inside panel
Stampin' Up! Inspiring Imperfections Fun Fold inside

Now that the inside is complete – let’s finish the card front.

  • On the remaining piece of Misty Moonlight, add the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 SDSP to the bottom half.
  • Stamp the 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 Basic White piece using Inspiring Imperfections stamp set and Misty Moonlight ink then add to the top of the Misty Moonlight panel.
  • Add this piece to the card front adhering ONLY to the upper left corner.
  • Add three Flower Accents to the sentiment piece and the card is complete!

Envelope… Add Kintsugi Inspirations SDSP to flap & trim to fit. Stamp image from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set with Misty Moonlight ink.

WooHoo! Fun fold and fun card to make… It’s not super thick either so should be able to send this with regular postage – and that’s big!

Stampin’ Up! Woven Textures + Textured Notes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello again to this weekly Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog hop! We have a sketch challenge today that is quick & easy and can be used for any sentiment or card needed – depending on the DSP (Designer Series Paper) used & the stamp set. I’ve used the Woven Textures 12×12 DSP and the Textured Notes Bundle for the sentiments & die cutting.

I hope you like the updates made to my blog – still a work in progress. Thanks to a special teammate for their help and my daughter Wendy as well. I have more work to do on it, but I’m liking what’s happening :O) I’m still recovering from a knee replacement on 5/5, so limited in what I can really do yet.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Sketch Challenge
Stampin' Up! Woven Textures & Textured Notes card front

I began with an Early Espresso card base 84 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2. I added this gorgeous pattern directly to the card base, from the Woven Textures 12×12 DSP cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Use the adhesive of choice, but I tend to use liquid glue. I then cut a piece of Early Espresso 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 and added a different pattern from the Woven Textures DSP cut 3 x 4 to it – again with liquid glue. These were attached to the card front with dimensionals. I then stamped the sentiment from the Textured Notes Bundle on a scrap of Basic White using Early Espresso ink – then die cut it with the Textured Notes Dies. I added this to the card front with liquid glue. And while you cannot see them, I also added Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots – and the card front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Woven Textures + Textured Notes card inside

For the inside.. I cut a Crumb Cake piece 4 x 5 1/4 and added it to the inside of the card, trimmed a Basic White panel to 3 7/7 x 5 1/8, stamped it with the fun basket weave image from textured Notes stamp set with Crumb Cake ink. This was added to the Crumb Cake piece already attached to the inside of the card – and bingo – card is ready.

Stampin' Up! Woven Textures + Textured Notes card & envelope

For the envelope… more of the Woven Textures 12×12 DSP was added to the flap & trimmed to fit. I again used the same basket weave stamp from the Textured Notes stamp set and Crumb Cake ink to stamp the front of the envelope. Yay! Such a nice masculine card – and can be a thank you, or thinking of you – again, versatility.

Thanks to everyone already making the most of our newly added Notify Me feature in the online store. If selected, this tool sends an email notification when an out-of-stock item becomes available—it’s already proving helpful to streamline the ordering process for demonstrators.
Unfortunately, the notification service experienced a disruption from May 6 to 11. As a result, back-in-stock emails weren’t sent for the following items:

  • Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder (164614), Beautiful Butterflies Bundle (164615), and Papillons Superbes Bundle (164616)
  • Mixed Florals Dies (164641), Mixed Florals Bundle (164642), Mixed Florals Suite Collection (164659), and Fleurs et Techniques Mixtes Suite Collection (164660)
  • Elements of Text Cling Stamp Set (164774)

This issue was resolved on May 12. However, back-in-stock emails that should have sent during the impacted timeframe will not send for the items listed above. All messages moving forward should function properly. Just remember to ask for that option to be notified when placing the order if it comes up not currently available.

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Textures + Textured Notes Fun Fold

Hello Saturday! It’s beautiful here in New Jersey – and I’m INSIDE… attending a convention for a women’s organization. The great part is that I’m seeing folks I haven’t seen in a while; the unfortunate part is that I’m not out gardening or enjoying the sun. Having said all that – let me share today’s card…

Stampin' Up! Botanical Textures & Textured Notes card front

This card is made with items from the Botanical Textures Suite of products: the Botanical Textures 12×12 DSP and the Textured Notes stamp set (which is also a bundle with dies). Black & white cards stand out and this one is no different. It’s made with Thick Basic White card stock 8 1/2 x 5 12, scored at 4 1/4 then 2 1/4 removed. I cut a Botanical Textured DSP1 7/8 x 5 3/8 and adhere to the remaining top portion. Open the card & stamp the inside :O) This is an easy, easy card to make… just stamps, ink, paper!

Stampin' Up! Textured Notes Stamp Set inside card

Using the Textured Notes stamp set and Memento ink, I stamped this stunning leaf on the upper right corner and the bottom left corner. I added a 3/8″ strip of the Botanical Textures DSPn to the bottom, then stamped this sentiment – also from the Textured Notes stamp set. LOVE THIS FONT! On each end of the sentiment I added black dots from … I forget which embellishments- maybe the Neutral embellishments from the suite?! And the card itself is done.

Stampin' Up! Botanical Textures + Textured Notes card & envelope

The envelope… Using Memento ink and another leaf stamp in this
Textured Notes stamp set, I stamped on the flap 3 times, reinking the stamp each time. I did the same on the front of the envelope – & boom, complete! Such a quick and gorgeous card. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that since I made it 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Cutest Onsie Baby Boy Card

Hello Sunday! We are slated to have a pretty nice day today – after a drenching rain yesterday that we desperately needed. Those fires in South Jersey did not affect us personally, but they weren’t far. Lots of businesses destroyed & 15,000 acres burned. We needed this rain to put out remaining hot spots on the forests floor. Sigh.

Today’s card is about new life – a baby boy – and I’ve used the carrying over Cutest Onsie Bundle to make it, and Balmy Blue.

Stampin' Up! Cutest Onsie Bundle card front

I began with by stamping a Balmy Blue panel (4 x 5 1/4) with these cute ‘clouds’ (think dreamy 🙂 and Balmy Blue ink. I then stamped the ‘onsie’ with Memento ink and with a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends, colored the neck, sleeves and bottom edges. I also stamped the star in Memento ink. I die cut the onsie and set it aside. Next I stamped the sentiment on two pieces of Lemon Lolly card stock, inking just a portion of the sentiment for each stamping. It was stamped in Azure Afternoon ink I adhered the strips with liquid glue then paced the onsie on dimensionals and overlaid the strips The embellishments are Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems in Lemon Lolly. This panel was adhered to Basic White 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 then attached to a card base of Balmy Blue (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4) with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Cutest Onsie inside card

For the inside of the card, I stamped the onsie with Memento ink on a piece of Subtles 6×6 DSP (Balmy Blue of course) and while die cutting, I also die cut the pocket for the onsie. I adhered it directly to the Basic White inset (4 x 5 1/4) then stamped the sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink and the hearts too. This was attached to the inside of Balmy Blue card base for the completed card.

Stampin' Up! Cutest Onsie card & envelope

For the envelope, more of the Subtles 6×6 DSP in Balmy Blue was added to the flap and trimmed to fit. This added touch just unifies every project – love this! And there ya go… a baby boy card for a new little one.

Stampin' UP! Painted Stripes & Gallery Blooms bundle

I used the new IN Color for 2025-2027 called Strawberry Slush both for the card stock base, the Painted Stripes stamp set inked & stamped and the floral design also inked, stamped & die cut. After stamping the flowers, I used Stampin’ Blends to color them: Pretty In Pink, Melon Mambo, also Color Lifter for highlights and Wink of Stella. The leaves were colored with Granny Apple Green Blends. I then die cut and added dimensionals to the back and set it aside. I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to die cut the circle from Basic White card stock and added it to the card front with dimensionals, off-setting it. I then added the flowers to the circle. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set & Basic Gray ink. I added a very thin strip to the sentiment piece, then attachecd this to the card front… a dimensional on the back right of the sentiment and a dab of glue on the left. The final step was adding embellishments: 2025-2027 In Color Gems in Strawberry Slush.

For the inside of the card I kept it really simple: this sweet bouquet of roses from the Gallery Blooms stamp set, stamped in Strawberry Slush ink on the Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 panel.

For the envelope I used the very same sweet rose bouquet from the Gallery Blooms stamp set and Strawberry Slush ink to stamp the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Impressions Abloom Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our fabulous hop! It’s Thursday – Maundy Thursday as a matter of fact. We have a fun challenge today, and that is to make a fun fold card – right up my alley, in my wheelhouse or however you want to say it. I’m not certain what this fun fold is called: a z-fold, a zig zag fold, an accordion fold, but I did have fun creating it.

Stampin' Up! Impressions Abloom Fun Fold card front

I began with a card base of Fresh Freesia 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and layered a panel of Beautiful Bokeh 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. (You could cover the entire card front.) I next cut a length of Basic White 12×12 to 4 x 12. I put this in my trimmer & with one end at the 2″ mark & the other at the 4″ mark, I from the 2″ end up creating the angled strip. This I scored at 4 & 8, adhering the taller end to the card base. Next was die-cutting the circles: 6th from largest for the Fresh Freesia circle; 8th from largest for the two Beautiful Bokeh circles & the Basic White circle on the Fresh Freesia circle; and 10th from largest for the smallest front Basic White circle. TIP: when die cutting the two Beautiful Bokeh circle, cut one of them from one side of the DSP & the other from the other side of the DSP – otherwise they will not match together :O)

Adhere circles to remaining sections of the card

  • Add the largest Basic White circle first – to the Fresh Freesia circle, centering it.
  • Using that Basic White circle as a guide, add the two Beautiful Bokeh circles to the next section.
    • I adhered the two Bokeh circles together TOP ONLY!
    • Slip these over the section to which they are to be attached with one circle on each side
    • Line them up exactly with the Basic White circle & adhere in place
  • Add smallest white circle to last section, making certain it is on the proper side – refer to z fold photo. If you attach to the wrong side, simply die cut another Basic White circle & attach back to back.

Create all the floral and leaf die cuts using the Impressions Abloom bundle

  • The daisy has 2 layers: the stamped layer (on Beautiful Bokeh stamped in Daffodil Delight) and the card stock layer – Daffodil Delight. These are adhered together , offsetting them & attached with a dimensional
  • The smallest flower has two layers: the stamped layer (on Beautiful Bokeh stamped in Balmy Blue) and the card stock layer in Balmy Blue. These are adhered together , offsetting them & attached with a dimensional
  • The largest flower has two layers: the stamped layer (on Beautiful Bokeh stamped inFresh Freesia) and the card stock layer in Fresh Freesia. These are adhered together , offsetting them & attached with liquid glue
  • The leaves are die cut from Lemon Lime Twist, cut apart as needed & tucked in, adhering with liquid glue
  • The flower centers were all die cut from Beautiful Bokeh 6×6 D
SP and added with liquid glue
  • The teeniest flowers are die cut from Basic White. Using Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, I added dots of color to the centers & attached to the card with dots of liquid glue – 3 on front 2 on second panel of circles & one on largest of the circle

Final step – stamp the front sentiment. This sentiment is from the So Sincere stamp set & is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink.

And finally, the envelope, I used another piece of the Beautiful Bokeh to add to the flap & trimmed it to fit. Because the card was so busy, I did not add more to the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Split Front Fun Fold with Beautiful Gallery 6×6

Good morning and happy Wednesday! We have bright sunshine today – wheee! I wanted to make this split front card for a while and decided to use this gorgeous paper in the 2005-2006 Annual Catalog that goes live May 6.

Split Front Fun Fold w/ Beautiful Gallery 6x6, card front

This fun fold is so super easy! Cut a piece of card stock 4 1/4 x 11 (here I used Mossy Meadow), trim away 1 1/2″ then another 2 1/2″ then score the remaining piece at 1 1/2. Save those cut off pieces for the card front! Cut 2 pieces of DSP 4 x 1 1/4 & adhere to the short scored card front and the 1 1/2 x 4 card stock. Again, I used the Beautiful Gallery 6×6 DSP for those two cut pieces. Cut another piece of the Beautiful Gallery 6×6 DSP for the front panel – this time 2 1/4 x 4 and adhere to the 2 1/2 x 4 panel removed in the beginning – so Mossy Meadow. What I did… I trimmed away a portion of the edging on this DSP leaving the flower bud – top- and the leaf- lower left – loose. I adhered this to Gray Granite 2 1/8 x 41/8 then to the Mossy Meadow piece. Here’s the tricky part but not difficult … adding the front panel to the card front….With the card base closed, lay the loose bottom piece even with the bottom of the card base; using the grid paper, add the decorated front panel so it is equidistant top to bottom & right, adhering to top & bottom. Decorate front panel with Pressed Flower Motifs – and the card front is complete!

For the inside of the card, I stamped the Thinking of You in Mossy Meadow ink using the Beautiful Motifs stamp set from the Beautiful Gallery Suite in the new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog on a Basic White panel 4 x 5 1/4. I also stamped the fun image underneath in stamped off once Mossy Meadow ink. This was adhered to the inside of the card and the card was complete. Here’s what the card looks like standing.

For the envelope… more of the same Beautiful Gallery 6×6 DSP adhered to the flap, trimmed to fit then randomly stamped with the same image as the inside of the card, then stamped again on the envelope front.

With the ‘open ended’ sentiment, this could be used as a get well, happy birthday, simply thinking of you, happy anniversary or even a wedding card! Love the flexibility!
