Stampin’ Up! Botanical Textured Suite for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning! Today I am headed to Raleigh, NC for a Stampin’ Up! Convention :O) When you read this, I will have landed and seen several of our Krew Team. This weekend Stampin’ Up! will reveal to demonstrators, the new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog!!! Wheee! I can share the cover only, not the inside of the catalog – and I can share products that I receive: stamps & cards that we make, like that. So, I look forward to sharing some of the fun we will be doing, Stay tuned!

Today I am sharing a masculine card made with some of the products in the Botanical Textured Suite of products – ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. We have a sketch challenge – take a look to see what I’ve created.

Stampin' Up! 3/13 Blog Hop sketch challenge
Stampin' Up! Woven Textures DSP card front

The Woven Textures Designer Series Papers in this suite are absolutely perfect for masculine cards. This larger background paper looks like woven fibers. (My hubby says it looks like coffee beans!) I cut a piece 4 x 5 1/4 then die cut it with the largest rectangle die in the Textured Notes Dies. It creates a wonderful design around the edge which is obscured here by the patterned DSP (durn!) After die cutting, I adhered it to Basic Beige 4 x 5 3/8 then attached it to the Early Espresso card front (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4). I chose another pattern from the Woven Textures DSP and used the 3rd from smallest die in the Textured Notes Dies to die cut it, then attached it to another Basic Beige panel 2 x 3 3/8, wrapped Linen Thread around it 3 times & tied a knot. This I added to the card front with dimensionals. The final step for the front is the Basic Beige panel with the sentiment from Textured Notes stamp set stamped in Early Espresso ink using the Textures Notes Stamp set, then die cut with the shortest rectangle die in the Textured Notes Dies. This too was added to the card front with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Woven Textures DSP & Textured Notes Bundle

For the inside… Basic Beige cut 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 adhered to the inside of the card. With a Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 panel, stamp this wonderful woven image from the Textured Notes stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I love how the image ‘fades out’ on the bottom! This panel was attached to the Basic Beige and the card itself was complete.

Stampin' Up! Textured Notes Bundle & Woven Textures DSP

For the envelope… more of the same Woven Textures DSP to the adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit. And again, the same woven stamp image from Textured Notes stamp set, stamped across the bottom of the envelope front in Early Espresso ink. This could so easily be a thank you card, (just change the sentiment) or a birthday card (change the sentiment) and the layout & Designer Series Paper is perfect for a masculine card. See what YOU can create with this layout and papers – and please share it with me.

Stampin’ Up! is jumping in with some new policies & strategies.

  • As of April 15, there will no longer be ‘host codes.’ Instead, customers will be earning 10% rewards with every purchase of $20 or more that can be used for their next order. Those rewards must be used within the next year, but they can also be shared or given to someone or saved up and used in one big purchase. Hooray! This does mean my own rewards to customers will be going away – as you, the customer, will be earning rewards directly from Stampin’ Up! This is definitely a win-win.
  • You DO need to be sure you have an account at stampinup.com so you can earn and redeem rewards. So, ‘opt in’ to the program to earn those rewards. These changes ,will take place April 15, 2025 at 8AM Mountain time. Yes, this is early – but I want to be certain you are aware of what the future holds – and it’s all GOOD!

I can’t wait to share pictures of teammates and the cover of the new Stampin’ Up! 2025-2026 Annual Catalog, and anything else that’s ‘legal’ to share :O)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a terrifically marvelous day!

As I mentioned earlier, I am in Raleigh, NC for a couple of days at a Stampijn’ Up! convention. Stampin’ Up! will share with the demonstrators present, the new 2025-2026 Annual Catalog. I’m excited to see new products, new techniques, and new colors. What would you be looking for in particular if you were attending this convention? I would love to know!

Stampin’ Up! Four Panel Card & Mixed Labels Bundle

Hello, hello. My card begins with Thick Basic White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. I added a layer directly to this with Daffodil Delight, 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. I set this aside to create the four panels using Fruit Salad 6×6 DSP, a free item during Sale-a-bration (only three days left!).

Fruit Salad DSP, Four Panel card

What I particularly like about this is the way it looks as though the sun was shining with rays extending. The panel is first cut 3 1/2 x 4 then trimmed to four panels of 1 x 3 1/2 strips. They were layered on Basic White each cut 1 1/8 x 3 5/8. Dimensionals were added to the backs and attached to the card. I used a scrap of Daffodil Delight to die cut the background for the sentiment using the Mixed Labels Dies. I used the Mixed Labels stamp set for the sentiment , Pumpkin Pie ink on Basic White and another of the Mixed Labels Dies to die cut it, then attached with dimensionals. The very fun die cut beneath is also from the Mixed Labels Dies and adhered directly beneath and to the card front. The final touch are three Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins. This is a perfect use of DSP – and a masculine card too – at least in my opinion. Of course that depends on the DSP used.

Stampin' Up! Four Panel Card w/ Fruit Salad DSP

For the envelope, I added more DSP to the flap & trimmed it to fit.

Stampin’ Up! Three Panel Heart Card

Valentines just passed and I could not post this card – to my hubby – as he just might see it :O) Now’s a good time to share.

Stampin' Up! 3 Panel Heart Card

This card is made using the Bloom Impressions DSP that is FREE during Sale-a-bration when purchasing $60 worth of products. It coordinates with Real Red card stock (behind it) and of course, Basic White. I used the Paper Pumpkin Dies – Spring is in the Air – to create the heart, and Mixed Labels Dies to cut the sentiment.

Step by step

  • Card base: Thick Basic White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
  • Layer: Basic White 4 x 5 1/4, embossed with the So Swirly EF & adhered directly to the card base
  • Layer: Real Red 4 1/4 x 3 3/4
  • DSP layer: 3 3/4 x 3 1/2 cut into 3, 1 1/4″ strips
    • Adhere DSP to Real Red then to card front with dimensionals
  • Die cut two hearts with the Spring is in the Air Dies
    • Adhere one heart with liquid glue
    • Adhere second heart w/ mini dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment from Everyday Greetings stamp set with Memento ink; die cut with the Mixed Labels Dies; adhere with dimensionals
  • Tie a double bow with White Bakers Twine & adhere with glue dot
  • Add three Low Profile Dots
Stampin' Up! 3 Panel Heart Card, inside

For the inside… On a Basic White 4 x 5 1/4, stamp the two hearts in Real Red ink using the Friendfs For Life stamp set; adhere panel to inside – and done!

Stampin' Up! 3 Panel heart Card & envelope

For the envelope… More of the same Bloom Impressions DSP adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit.

What’s great about this layout, and this card… it could be used as an anniversary card (change the DSP), a wedding card (change the DSP & layer to something soft & elegant), a genuine thank you card (again change the DSP & layer & maybe even the sentiment) – all kinds of options.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello again! Happy Birthday to me & my twin today! This is a B-I-G one – but it’s just a number, right? Today’s card takes a bit of imagination to match the sketch, but I think it does. Tell me what YOU think!

Stampin' Up! Blog Hop Group

stampin' Up! Blog Hop sketch challenge
Stampin' Up! Umbrella Days card front

I began by doing quite a bit of die cutting to create the grass – several strips of Bloom Impressions DSP in various widths in the pretty Shy Shamrock color, from 1 1/4′ “to 1/2” and using the single grass die in the Umbrella Days Dies. I used the flower dies in the same die set to die cut all these tiny flower heads and more Bloom Impressions 12 x 12 scraps. I set these aside while creating the person and umbrella. Stamp the image from Umbrella Days stamp set on Basic White with Memento ink; color the raincoat with Blends Daffodil Delight and the hands with Petal Pink. Die cut the boots and the sections of the umbrella with more of the Umbrella Days Dies. Adhere the umbrella die cut pieces to the umbrella and the boots to the feet with liquid glue. Set this aside as well.

Begin adhering the strips of grass to a Basic White panel 4 x 5 1/4 in layers. The top & shorter pieces are added with dimensionals. Sprinkle on several of the die cut flowers and attach with dabs of liquid glue. Stamp the raindrops in Gray Granite ink. Cut another piece of the Bloom Impresssions DSP about 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 and gently tear the edge to create unevenness. Now it should look like sky :O) Die cut a couple of clouds from the same pattern of Bloom Impressions DSP and add. I used dimensionals and glue dots to create depth for each cloud. Attach the body & feet with liquid glue; add a dimensional in the middle of the umbrella and glue dots to the two outer portions – to give the umbrella a ’rounded’ look. With the ‘scene’ completed, I attached the panel to the 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Basic White card base which has been scorned and burnished at 4 1/4.

Here’s a closeup photo of the layers of grass.

Stampin' Up! Closeup of Umbrella Days grass

For the inside…

Stampin' Up! Umbrella Days inside card

I tore another strip of Bloom Impressions DSP and attached it to a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel, then stamped the sentiment from Umbrella Days stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink, adhered the panel to the inside of the card base – and done!

The envelope… more of the blue from Bloom Impressions added to the flap & trimmed to fit. I tore yet another strip from the same paper and added it to the bottom front of the envelope, then stay the sentiment from Umbrella Days stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink.

STAMPIN’ UP! Mixed Media Florals for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday – and welcome to Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have a color challenge today and so many of these colors come from a specific DSP that I kept this super simple.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Media Florals card front

You can see I focused on the colors Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight & Boho Blue. The card base is Boho Blue, standard A2 card size 8 1/2 x5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The Basic White panel is 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 with the Mixed Media Florals DSP cut 3 3/4 x 5 and adhered to it. I wrapped the Navy ribbon from the Natural Tones Linen Thread pack around these two, twice, and tied a bow, adhering that with a glue dot. I stamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the Mixed Labels Dies. I love the design around the edge! I added three Opals Round Assortments in Daffodil Delight from the Annual Catalogue. I added dimensionals and attached to the DSP panels, then added those to the card base – also with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Media Florals card inside

For the inside, I took a panel of Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 and stamped this fun partial image from the Mixed Florals stamp set in Memento ink. I colored it with Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green. This was adhered directly to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Media Florals card & envelope

I did exactly the same for the envelope front… stamping a partial image in Memento ink and coloring it with the same Stampin’ Blends. You can clearly see the coloring is different :O) – and the card was done! See below the list of names for purchasing these products from me :O)

Stampin’ Up! Fun Fold with Calming Creek Cards & Mixed Florals Bundle

Oh my – tomorrow – Jan 7 is the BIG DAY for ordering from the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog AND using benefits from the Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration Catalog. WooHoo! Excitement is building!!! My card today uses the Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog and the Mixed Florals Bundle from an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE. I love this bundle (and it’s part of a suite of products too). So… here’s the card.

Stampin' Up! Calming Creek Card w/ Mixed Florals Bookfold

I folded the Calming Creek card on it’s score line then scored again at 3 1/4. Between the 4 1/4 & 3 1/4 scores I added adhesive to secure it in place. I wrapped that section with Bordered Ribbon in Basic Beige and secured it with a glue dot at the knot. I took one of the Elements of Text stamps (also an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE) and stamped a Basic Beige panel in two places with Memento Ink – see the image. I die cut the panel with second from the largest Perennial Postage Dies then removed just enough from the left edge for it to fit on the book fold front. Save this removed piece!

On a Basic White piece, I stamped the floral image in Memento ink and colored it with Stampin’ Blends: Wild Wheat, Daffodil Delight and Summer Splash. Once the coloring was complete, I added Wink of Stella to many of the small flowers, to the large flowers and to some areas of the leaves. I die cut this with the appropriate die from the Mixed Florals Dies, added dimensionals to the back and attached it to the card front. I then stamped the super cute lady bugs from Mixed Florals stamp set in Memento ink and colored with Petunia Pop Blends.

Stampin' Up! Calming Creek Book fold card inside

On the inside of the card I added the removed cut strip from the Perennial Postage die cut and that was it.

Stampin' Up! Calming Creek card & envelope

Here is the card with it’s own envelope. I love how they coordinate. And yes, I could have stamped a portion of the floral stamp, but chose to keep it simple.

Stampin’ Up! Mixed Floral with Calming Creek Cards &Envelopes

It’s 2025 – and quite frankly, I can’t believe it… but here we are. In two day – Jan. 7, 2025 the new Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog goes LIVE. WooHoo! Today’s card however, is from a fairly new ONLINE EXCLUSIVE called Mixed Florals, which can be a suite of products or individual items. Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes are from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. I received the cards & envelopes from my’ upline’ Mary Deatherage – as a thank you gift.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Florals w/ Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes

This card base from the Calming Creek cards is Misty Moonlight. In looking at the Color Wheel for ideas of colors for the flowers and leaves of the Mixed Floral stamp set, it suggested Poppy Parade, Lemon Lime Twist. I also added Granny Apple Green & Lemon Lolly – all in Stampin’ Blends to color the leaves & flowers of this gorgeous stamp from Mixed Florals. While it doesn’t really show in the photos… I also used lots of Wink of Stella – on the small flowers and the tulips. I also added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies which may be found in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. – and a bit of Linen Thread (one of my favorites!) with a double bow and a glue dot. The background for the flowers is a Basic Beige panel die cut with the Postage Stamp Dies and embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Florals card inside

For the inside, I used the border of the Postage Stamp Dies die cut from Basic Beige to adhere to a panel of Basic White 4 x 5 1/4. This is a wonderful card n- could be stamped for a birthday, just a note, hello or leave blank for your own comments. I’m making a set of these to give away – stay tuned!

Wow – another week has flown by… and next week is Thanksgiving – AAAgh! Welcome to the blog hop – we have a sketch challenge today that I think you’ll enjoy. I’ve used some new ONLINE EXCLUSIVE products that I’m loving. This is a suite called Marbled Elegance Suite and I’ve used a bit of all of it :O) Let’s take a peek. What I saw in the sketch is three same images.

Stampin' Up! Marbled Elegance card front

This Designer Series Paper is called Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP – cuz one side has specks or ‘rivers’ of gold. It’s stunning! The coordinating colors list Melon Mambo & Petal Pink. For me, I chose to use Pretty in Pink as a layer for the SDSP. The three hearts (from Hearts of Elegance Dies) are cut from a strip 1 1/2 x 4 that showcases some of the gold. These hearts have a tiny holes as a border and just add an elegant touch to the heart. The layer of a white heart is a scrap of Basic White., again die cut using the Hearts of Elegance Dies. This heart is very plain and is perfect for a border around the SDSP heart die cuts. Each of the hearts is on dimensionals and the strip of SDSP behind them is 5/8 x 5 and adhered to a different panel of the Marbled Elegance SDSP, 3 3/4 x 5, that I embossed for a bit of texture with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I slipped a bow made from the Gold Twisted Thread that’s part of the suite of products, behind the center heart and attached with a glue dot. So… what we have for the card front… Thick Basic White, standard A2 size, Pretty In Pink w/ adhered embossed SDSP attached with dimensionals. The SDSP strip is adhered with Stampin’ Seal, the Basic White heart is adhered with liquid glue and the three SDSP hearts are on dimensionals. Now… let’s look at the inside.

This is interesting… true confessions once again. I adhered strips of the SDSP to the Petal Pink instead of the Basic White panel I had set aside…, go figure. I decided to just go with it – why not? I stamped the sentiment from the Hearts & Elegance stamp set in Melon Mambo ink, then added this gold Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequin… so very sweet.- which completes using all the items in this online suite. L-O-V-E! Just sayin’

Stampin' Up! Marbled Elegance card & envelope

For the envelope… here you can easily see this gorgeous Marbled Elegance SDSP that I used for the hearts – adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit. The heart on the front is stamped in Melon Mambo ink and is from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set.

This is a gorgeous suite of products new to the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES products and you may find them here.

Stampin’ Up! DSP Fun Fold

Good Saturday morning! It is crisp this morning on the East coast, which made for a beautiful walk. For my card this morning, I’m using a retired DSP as the fun fold part and DSP from the Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog. It made for a fun creation.

Stampin' Up! DSP Fun Fold

The retired DSP is Joy of Christmas 12×12 and the birds are directly die cut from the Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP using the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. The birds are dimensionals on a Basic White banner die cut from the Greetings of the Season Dies. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Satin Ribbon. Now let’s open the card to see what’s inside.

Stampin' Up! DSP Fun Fold inside

The Basic White panel is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and comes from the Greetings of the Season stamp set – so I used the bundle on this card. The pine frond on this panel is a Shaded Spruce die cut from the Golden Greenery Dies. The larger pine branch is a die cut from the Graceful Greenery Vellum using a matched die from the Golden Greenery Dies. And because it’s vellum and see through, I added a Basic White behind it, die cut with the same die. Now let’s open this the other way to see the other side of the DSP.

I added this beautiful die cut in Basic White – just cuz – the panel needed something more. This also comes from the Golden Greenery Dies. And in this photo, you can see the DSP is adhered to a Cherry Cobbler base. For the measurements and card cuts, see below.

Want to remake this card? The Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog has lots of choices of 12×12 DSP that can be used. See all the items in that catalog here. Stampin’ Up! Nests of Winter Thinking of You Card

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a color challenge today and it put me to the test :O). One of my favorite colors is Pool Party and pairing it with Real Red just made my day. There’s very little of Pecan Pie, but it’s in the branch, as is Early Espresso. And I used Stampin’ blends Granny Apple Green for coloring some leaves on the inside of the card. You will see some fabulous inspiration as you view everyone’s blog. Enjoy! For now, let me tell you how to re=create this beauty.

Stampin' Up! Nests of Winter Thinking of You

The Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP does most of the work on this card. I used a Stitched Shapes Die to create the circles of DSP and Basic White. I used the Winterly Tree Tops dies to die cut the robin with berries in it’s mouth. T
he two ribbons are Cherry Cobbler & Gold along with Shaded Spruce Satin Ribbon. Other products to create this card were the So Swirly Embossing Folder, Real Red card stock and those fun White Loose Snowflakes.

For the inside of the card… I stamped the garland image using Memento ink and the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set. I colored this with Granny Apple Green , Real Red and Pecan Pie Stampin Blends. The sentiment is from this same stamp set – Winterly Tree Tops and Memento ink. I splattered the Basic White panel with a Real Red Stampin’ Blends.

For the envelope… I added this wonderful Garden Green stripe from the Nests of Winter DSP & trimmed it to fit. On the front I added a fussy cut leaf & berry image from one of the DSP panels.

Stampin' Up! Nests of Winter Thinking of you card & envelope

What’s extra nice about this card is that there’s nothing to indicate this is a holiday card – it could be used for a birthday or a ‘thinking of you’ after surgery, illness or a loss. It is extremely versatile.

If you are interested in purchasing these products from me, please see more information below the list of today’s blog hop recipients.
