Stampin’ Up! Jodi’s Off-Set Gate Fold Card

Hello Saturday! I’m heading home today after being with Grands for several days. It was extra nice being with them. Yesterday’s card featured grandson Dan’s card that he made. Today’s card features Jodi’s card. :O)

Stampin' Up! Masterfully Made Gate fold card

Off-set gate fold simply means one folded side is larger than the other, which is kind of obvious here. It could use a belly band but it does not have one. The colors in this DSP are so vibrant and funky fun. The card base is Thick Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 1 3/4 & 6. Fold both to the front and they match nicely. Cover the two fronts in DSP so the pattern flows from one to the other. Stamp the sentiment in Memento ink on a Basic White piece using the Layering Leaves stamp set and die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies. Attach to the right side of the fold with dimensionals. Add Glossy Dots Assortment in Gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo – Jodi’s choice!

For the inside of the card, more of the same Masterfully Made DSP on each side panel. For the middle panel, Basic White 4 x 5 3/8, the stamped sentiment is from Layering Leaves in Memento ink. The sweet flower is from Textured Floral stamp set and stamped in Daffodil Delight. Adhere panel to inside of card and done, done.

Stampin’ Up! Dan’s Fun Fold

Good Friday morning. I have an easy card for you today, that my grandson Dan made for his Dad for Father’s Day. Remember, I have limited supplies with me (only three stamp sets!) so no Happy Father’s Day stamp. I know… I should have planned better. Here’s his card.

I cut and scored the papers, he did everything else, including choosing the sentiments. I really like this card and know his Dad will too. Basic White Thick card stock for the card base, scored at 2 1/4 and 5 1/2. The 5 1/2 score is a valley fold and the 2 1/4 a mountain fold. it looks like this.

This could be an easel card, but it isn’t :O) The three card front panels are adhered together and attached to the upper panel, making certain the adhesive is only on the upper portion. The sentiment is stamped in Memento ink on a Basic White scrap using the Layered Leaves stamp set & die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. It was attached with dimensionals. The embellishments are the 2023-2024 In Color Dots in Moody Mauve.

For the inside… The sentiment was stamped in Memento ink using the Layered Leaves stamp set ~ on a Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 panel. This was adhered in place and the 1 1/4 strip were added in various widths – Dan’s idea! I really like how it carries that DSP throughout the card.

Oh, and the DSP at the top of the card… I forgot to mention that. It’s 3 1/8 x 4 1/4. You can also see I took the photo AFTER he wrote on it… I didn’t think it was appropriate to share his thoughts here. His Dad is in hospital right now and it’s likely the kids won’t be with him on Father’s Day. Here’s another photo of the card.

Stampin’ Up! Masterfully Made Masculine Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the happy Inkin’ Thursday blog hop! We have a sketch challenge today for our hop & I’m again using some new products I haven’t used yet :O) – Nested Essential Dies for one.

Stampin' Up! Masterfully Made Masculine card front

As you can see I turned the sketch sideways and changed the center shape, but it works. The Nested Shapes Dies was used to die cut the center image from Masterfully Made DSP. That was my starting point and I built the card around that. Crushed Curry is a match to the yellow and I splattered it lightly with the Light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. I ran a strip of Basic White through one of my new favorite embossing folders called Exposed Brick 3D EF.. I adhered this directly to the Crushed Curry card base. I added the Nested Shapes die cut with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Cheerful Daisies stamp set, stamped in Memento ink on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the shape you see from the Nested Shapes Dies. It was added to the card with a dimensional at the flat end and a dab of glue at the pointy end. The embellishments are from the Tinsel Gems 4 pack in Berry Burst, the largest color in the center die cut.

For the inside… I added the sentiment (completing the thought from the card front) three times in Memento ink on a Basic White panel. (Remember, it comes from Cheerful Daisies stamp set.) At the bottom, I added a strip of the leftover Masterfully Made DSP. This panel was added to the inside of the card and done, done.

I call this a masculine card, but it wouldn’t have to be. Remember, this is one of the Designer Series Papers on sale for 15% off. Continue reading below for more info about that!

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Garden Dies

Good Wednesday morning… I am with my Grandkids and today is finals week. Last night our grandson was studying for a history final. Goodness, I could not believe the questions – quite difficult. He’s done really well this week and I’m super proud. :O) OK… my card.

I used the new Gorgeous Garden Dies, which is another stand alone set, meaning no stamp set is bundled with it. It really is gorgeous.

I began with Lemon Lime Twist card stock and with Blending Brushes, added Calypso Coral ink, Mossy Meadow ink and Lemon Lime Twist ink, then die cut the piece with my cut & emboss machine. I ran it through a couple of times as this is a really intricate die cut and I wanted all the detail. I used little dabs of liquid glue under all the leaves to attach the die cut to the Lemon Lime Twist card base. Since I needed a sympathy card I decided on this sentiment from Layering Leaves stamp set and stamped it with Mossy Meadow ink. It’s die cut with a die from Cheerful Daises Dies, but I removed one end as I liked the look better. I tied a double bow and added it to the sentiment banner. The banner is attached with dimensionals. And the card front was done.

For the inside I used a left over strip from the blending done on the card front and adhered it near the bottom of the Basic White panel. I then stamped this beautiful image from the Layering Leaves stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink along the one side. I goofed just a bit because I don’t have my acrylic blocks with me, but I still like the effect. And this panel was adhered to the inside of the card – done, done.

This card looks so pretty in person and the photos don’t really show it off. I’m so sorry!

Stampin’ Up! Paper Florist Dies Hello card

Hello this shiny bright Tuesday! I have a really pretty card for you today, made with the Paper Florist Dies. This is a stand alone die set that allows you to create all KINDS of flowers your imagination can envision. And there are three leaf dies as well. Let’s take a peek at this fun card.

This card uses a couple of new products in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog: Pebbled Path card stock for the card base; an embossed layer using the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, and a returning color to the palette – Pretty Peacock. The other colors used to make these creations are Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Basic White and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Embellishments used were Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink & Balmy Blue and Linen Thread doubled and made into a bow.

Since this is a stand alone set of floral and leaf dies, the sentiment comes from the Cheerful Daisy stamp set and was die cut with a banner die from the Cheerful Daisy Dies. This was stamped using Smoky Slate ink on a Basic White panel. I’m trying to keep my sentiment stamping to a bare minimum as I’m away and FORGOT MY ACRYLIC BLOCKS. Go figure… don’t even ask how I could forget them. I just did.

For the inside, I die cut the tulips in two parts: Basic White for the flower and Garden Green for the stems. These were adhered to a Basic White panel and attached to the inside of the card. The simplicity comparison with the card front is quite a contrast. I hope you like…

All flowers were attached to the card base with liquid glue. As you can see, some of the petals are curled up and some are curled downwards – as in the Pretty Peacock flower. The white daisy like flower has many layers. I just kept adding petals until I was happy with the look.

I’m afraid there is no envelope.. forgot to bring those with me as well. I’ll have to remedy that situation when I return home. For now I’m where I’m supposed to be and I have no regrets.

Stampin’ Up! Masterfully Made DSP Grateful Card

Masterfully Made is one of the Designer Series Papers on SALE @ 15% off… so I’m showcasing it a couple of times this week. And here’s the deal about this week – I’m not at home in my craft space. I only have some supplies… and I forgot some important items… like acrylic blocks (duh!) and envelopes. Silliness.

For today’s card I took a piece of this beautiful Masterfully Made DSP & cut it into a smaller panel (3 3/4 x 5). Then I cut it into strips: 1″, 7/8, 3/4, and continued down like that. I added all but the largest strip to a panel of Crushed Curry, wrapped a length of Linen Thread around it a couple of times and tied a bow, securing it with a glue dot. I put dimensionals on the back and adhered it to a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped the sentiment using Memento ink and the New Textured Floral stamp set. Since I forgot my acrylic blocks I bet you’re wondering what I used… I used one of the acrylic plates from my Cut & Emboss machine – clever, right?!

For the inside I added the largest strip to the bottom of a Basic White panel, then attached that to a Crushed Curry piece, then to the inside of the card. I have a definite plan for this card so wanted to keep the inside plain for my own personal message. Isn’t this DSP just so pretty?!

Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms

Good Saturday! I have a beautiful new bundle I worked with – an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE that I tried resisting, and couldn’t. 😀 It is stunning! It is called – of all things – Irresistible Blooms Suite and what comes in the suite is: stamp set, coordinating dies, gorgeous 6×6 DSP and Loose Frosted Dots in three colors. An older color is coming back – Lost Lagoon – and that shows in these papers. Another cool thing is the dies die cut the two sizes of flowers in the DSP as well as three leaf shapes. I’ve created a very feminine card with this suite. Let’s take a peek.

See that stunning flower? It’s die cut from one of the papers! And see the leaves under the flower and under the sentiment? Those are also die cut from the DSP. And isn’t that wreath fun? It’s one of the dies as well. The DSP under it all is one of the papers in the pack. It has these cute little bubbles same as the wreath. And see the Loose Frosted Dots? The Petal Pink ones are on the banner while the Soft Seafoam are in the wreath – and notice, three sizes too. They adhere with a tiny dot of adhesive. The sentiment is from the stamp set, stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink , a coordinating color of the DSP, and die cut with the smallest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. The bow is Sating Edge Ribbon with Gold and added with a glue dot. I don’t know if you can see it in the photo, but I added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the flower on several of the white sections.

The inside of the card is every bit as feminine: more of the DSP on the bottom of the white panel, a smaller die cut flower from the paper, three small leaves die cut as well. The Basic White panel overlays a Flirty Flamingo panel, same as the front, and adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.

The DSP on the envelope flap is the back side of the DSP on the card front. I used the entire 6×6 sheet on this card! I was hoping you could see the Crystal Effects, but it doesn’t really show. Oh well… This suite of products will be available on March 1 and I encourage you get it! You will not regret the purchase. Stampin’ Up! is promoting an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE line of products that will not be included in any catalog, that will only be available as an ONLINE product. I’ve chosen to use butterflies on my card today, using the die from Designer Tags Dies and the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 Glimmer Paper. I’ve also used Hues of Happiness DSP with lots of wonderful colors to bring it all together. And layers… a piece of Basic White run through the Stripes 3D embossing folder (from Stripes & Splashes 3D set) and a strip of scallops from the Penned Flowers Dies and a leafy spray from the Dainty Delight Dies (trimmed to use a long piece on top and the shorter end at the bottom under the scallop… and lets not forget the Stylish Shapes Dies for the circles. So I pulled from a lot of different places and love the finished look.

For embellishment I used Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems in Gorgeous Grape. One of the wonderful things about nature is color – lots of it and lots of shades of one color or another. You can see that in the Hues of Happiness DSP.The front sentiment comes from Happiness Abounds stamp set that coordinates with the DSP. It’s a general greeting and this card could easily be used for birthday, to a sympathy card. I fussy cut the sentiment by the way, after stamping it in Orchid Oasis ink.

For the inside, really simple… a 1/2″ strip of the same Hues of Happiness DSP adhered near the bottom.

Goodness, this photo is ever so dark! Again, I kept the envelope quite simple with a strip of Hues of Happiness DSP on the flap trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ Up! Petal Park Bundle and a Fun Fold

Good Friday morning! It’s raining here, gray & overcast. UGH. But I have a card for you that will hopefully brighten your day. I’ve chosen to make another Diamond Flip Fold card – just because I found it so much fun – and it makes a statement. I’ve used the Regency Park 6×6 DSP , the Petal Park Bundle (includes the Petal Park Builder Punch) and the Charming Sentiment Bundle (includes the Sentiment Silhouette Dies). The card base is Night of Navy and I’ve used Balmy Blue as a background behind the DSP and the stamped diamond on the card front. There is not a lot of writing room as this card shows, but in lieu of DSP on the inside, you could easily have a layer of Basic White to have more room. What’s nice – make it your own by changing it up. You will notice in the photos below that I have not put any DSP on the diamond ends of the card on the inside – as I did on the previous card. It seemed too busy, so I left it off – and, I like it better.

You can see in each of the photos I have used Balmy Blue as a base layer over the Night Of Navy, then either the Basic White or the Regency Park 6×6 DSP. These papers are just so pretty they need showing off! The front Basic White panel is stamps from the Petal Park stamp set. The leaves were done in Shaded Spruce stamped off once – after stamping the outline in Memento ink. The flowers were stamped on a separate panel in Memento ink, then I used the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends to color the petals + the Color Lifter to ‘move’ the Balmy Blue colors. I found it better to use the Color Lifter to do that than the Blender Pen as that pen tends to ‘poill’ the paper. The floral centers are colored in Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. At this point the flowers were punched and added to the square (diamond) panel with dimensionals.

You can see in this photo above that I stamped the flowers in Balmy Blue (stamped off) to help me with placement for the punched flowers. :O)
