Good Saturday morning! It is crisp this morning on the East coast, which made for a beautiful walk. For my card this morning, I’m using a retired DSP as the fun fold part and DSP from the Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog. It made for a fun creation.
The retired DSP is Joy of Christmas 12×12 and the birds are directly die cut from the Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP using the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. The birds are dimensionals on a Basic White banner die cut from the Greetings of the Season Dies. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Satin Ribbon. Now let’s open the card to see what’s inside.
The Basic White panel is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and comes from the Greetings of the Season stamp set – so I used the bundle on this card. The pine frond on this panel is a Shaded Spruce die cut from the Golden Greenery Dies. The larger pine branch is a die cut from the Graceful Greenery Vellum using a matched die from the Golden Greenery Dies. And because it’s vellum and see through, I added a Basic White behind it, die cut with the same die. Now let’s open this the other way to see the other side of the DSP.
I added this beautiful die cut in Basic White – just cuz – the panel needed something more. This also comes from the Golden Greenery Dies. And in this photo, you can see the DSP is adhered to a Cherry Cobbler base. For the measurements and card cuts, see below.
Want to remake this card? The Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog has lots of choices of 12×12 DSP that can be used. See all the items in that catalog here. Remember when shopping with me to use my host code and make sure my name is listed as your demonstrator. If your order is $50 or more, I like to send a little giftie of a stampin’ Up! item valued up to $10 and you will also receive a copy of the monthly tutorial :O). If your order is over $150, don’t use the HOST CODE as Stampin’ Up! has it’s own rewards, but I will still send that valued item & the monthly tutorial. Joining my team will afford you the opportunity to view & play with products before being sold to the public. Join with me here for more fun. Need more information? Let me help.

Card cuts:
DSP: 4 x 12 scored @ 2 1/2 & 6 3/4. Be careful of direction as this opens from the side.
Card base: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 – Cherry Cobbler
Inside panel: 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, Basic White for sentiment
additional pieces: 1 3/4 x 3 (banner); 4 x 4 (large die cut spray & backing for vellum) – all Basic White; Shaded Spruce scrap for the pine frond
Happy Sunday morning – crispy air here today at 48 degrees. I have an easy fun fold today, one I found on Pinterest – hope you like it.
Susan Campfield created this card in a video tutorial and I liked the ease of it, then did my own thing.
Card Cuts:
5 1/2 x 5 1/4, score on short side at 4 1/4 (here I used Real Red)
4 x 4 (again, Real Red)
DSP panels: 3/4 x 4 (cut 2); 3/4 x 5 1/4; contrasting DSP 3 x 3 3/4 (here I used Take A Bow 6×6)
Basic White: 3 x 3 (circle on front) 2 x 3 (stamped holly); 4 x 3 3/4 (inside)
The first step is to burnish the score line on the card base, then add the 4 x 4 panel, centering it left & right & even with the bottom of the card base. This means it does not attach all the way to the score line! Now adhere the DSP panels: the 3/4 x 5 1/4 across the top and the two 3/4 x 4 panels on. the inside – keeping an even border on each – and the 3 x 3 3/4 on the front panel. Wrap a ribbon around the top & tie a bow. Here I used a retired Garden Green ribbon and kept it in place with a glue dot. As an option you could use that top area for a sentiment.
For the front… with Decked Circles Dies (6th from center), die cut a circle in Basic White and stamp with Sentimental Wishes stamp set and Real Red ink. Add it to the card front with dimensionals. Stamp the holly image from Sentimental Wishes in Garden Green ink and with a water painter very slightly damp, pull the color on the holly leaves. Don’t over work this step. With a Real Red Marker, color the berries, then die cut the image with the coordinating Sentimental Wishes Dies. Attach with dimensionals to the circle. Add Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries – and the card front is complete. :O)
On the inside… with Peaceful Season Dies and Festive 12×12 Glimmer paper in Garden Green, die cut the word Christmas and adhere to the inside of the card. Remember to save the dot on the ‘i’ and attach it as well. Now stamp the word ‘merry’ from Peaceful Season stamp set in Real Red ink. Adhere the Basic White panel to the inside of the card & voila – the card is complete.
For the envelope … more of the Take A Bow DSP is adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. AgainI stamped the holly using the Sentimental Wishes stamps in Garden Green ink, used the water painter barely damp to pull the color into the leaves. I used a Real Red marker to color the berries.

Welcome, welcome! Welcome to this blog hop group! Our theme this month is ‘Giving Thanks’ in whatever way that means for us… and I have lots for which to be thankful: people, support, this team and other teams, family, a roof over my head – just LOTS! I chose to use the Autumn Expressions bundle – beautiful script stamps, great dies (I’m a succor for leaf dies) and a host of other beautiful Stampin’ Up! products.
Stunning leaf die cut from Textured Metallic 12×12 Specialty DSP in both gold (2) and copper (1). And the very swirly script and framing – all from the Autumn Expressions bundle. Such a great set! The additional DSP is an online product – Meandering Meadows 6s6 DSP. I cut the front panels to look like sunset, the oranges and pinks streaking across the sky. The ‘frame’ is from another panel of the Meandering Meadows DSP.
For the inside, I used this wonderful ‘grass’ stamp and Pecan Pie ink – first generation and 2nd generation – to stamp across the bottom. How to do that? Ink the stamp, stamp the paper, stamp again without re-inking. This second stamping is called second generation.
Card Cuts/ directions:
Pecan Pie for the card base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 2 1/8 on the long side. Burnish and fold other side to meet it, burnishing it as well. Why do I do this in lieu of scoring on each side at 2 1/8? ‘Cuz it doesn’t always come together in the middle – and I want them to. I have found this to be the easiest way to make sure that happens.
Cut Pumpkin Pie 2 x 5 3/8 (2) and adhere to each side front panel
Cut Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP 1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (2) and adhere to the Pumpkin Pie
On Basic White 2 3/4 x 3 3/4, stamp the sentiment from Autumn Expressions stamp set in Pecan Pie ink. Die cut with the smaller ‘frame’ from Autumn Expressions Dies. Die cut the outside ‘frame’ for this using the larger ‘frame’ die. Attach together with dots of liquid glue.
Die cut the gorgeous leaves from 1 1/4 square Textured Metallic 12×12 SDSP – two in gold and one in copper. Attach one go0ld leaf to the top of the sentiment frame with liquid glue, then the copper leaf on the opposite corner also with liquid glue. Attache the other gold leaf with a dimensional. Add three Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments on the sentiment panel. Add sentiment panel to the left side of the gate fold – and the card front is complete!
For the envelope… I added more of the same Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP to the flap and trimmed to fit. Do the same stamping technique as before along the envelope front.
This can so easily be a masculine card if needed. I like that versatility! And many of these products may be found in the Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog, Card Stocks & inks, acrylic blocks, paper trimmer – these ‘staples’ are in the Annual Catalog.

Welcome to the HOP! Our theme today is fun folds – and there will be some extraordinary ones, I am certain. I have chosen a tried & true front flap fun fold for today, using the WinterlyTree Tops bundle, the Christmas Labels bundle and Nests of Winter 12 x 12 DSP.
I’m going to be honest, I haven’t played with this set and I’ve had it for a bit. I… LOVE… IT… The pine frame is from Basic White card stock (3 5/8 x 5) and die cut with Winterly Tree Tops Dies. The birds are fussy cut (paper snips) from the Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP and added with dimensionals. The background (stripes) is also from this DSP pack (3 7/8 x 5 1/8) and was layered on Cherry Cobbler (4 x 5 3/8), and adhered to the Basic Black card front. I added three Pecan Pie Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots (an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE). Let’s look at how this card opens… the front flap opens from the top to show the gatefold, below.
The layers are Cherry Cobbler (2 x 5 3/8 – cut 2) and a smaller Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP (1 7/8 x 5 1/4- cut 2) and adhere together and then to the Basic Black card baseThe sentiment panel is stamped on Basic White with Cherry Cobbler ink using the Christmas Labels stamp set then die cut with the coordinating Christmas Lablels Dies. Only the left side of the label was attached to the left ‘gate’.
Here is the inside…
The inside… a panel of Basic White (3 7/8 x 5 1/8) with another fussy cut bird from the Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP attached with liquid glue. This panel was added to Cherry Cobbler (4 x 5 1/4) then to the inside of the Basic Black card base. All opened out the card looks like this…
And the envelope I kept very simple… more of the Nests of Winter 12×12 DSP on the flap & trimmed to fit, and a sentiment stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink from the Christmas Labels stamp set.
These two bundles and the DSP may be found in the Stampin’ Up! Sep-Dec 2024 Catalog. The card stock & adhesive, scissors, paper trimmer, bone folder are in the Stampin’ Up! 2024 Annual Catalog. Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day!
It’s Thursday and you know what that means – a VERY FUN HOP! We have a color challenge today and I’ve chosen to use the Wildly Flowering DSP as my focus and the coordinating suite to highlight this fun fold card.
This is called a JOY FOLD card – and is two cards in one so to speak. The colors are mostly Wild Wheat, Mossy Meadow and Moody Mauve. This is just gorgeous Designer Series Paper – Wildly Flowering 12 x 12 DSP. And here’s how we put this together…
Build your card base first: Wild Wheat 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored @ 3
Add DSP layers: 4 x 5 1/4 (inside right panel) and 2 3/4 x 4 (inside flap – I embossed this panel in the Dashing Designs 3D EF) and another flower panel on the left front 2 3/4 x 4
On the inside front panel, die cut from Wild Wheat the hexagon using the Wildflower Designs Dies; add to panel.
Stamp this larger flower on a Basic White scrap in Memento ink using the Wildflower Designs stamp set. Color with Stampin’ Blends Wild Wheat, Moody Mauve and Mossy Meadow. Add to hexagon and embellish with Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots.
Create the ‘mini’ card: Crumb Cake 3 x 8 and scored @ 4.
Add to card base, centering it on the right card base panel
Add DSP to inside right mini card 2 3/4 x 4 and to mini card front 2 3/4 x 4 (embossed with Dashing Designs 3D EF)
Decorate mini card front: die cut from Basic White both the scalloped hexagon and the stamped hexagon using the Wildflower Designs Dies. Adhere the scalloped design directly to the mini card front. Stamp the remaining hexagon with Wildflower Designs stamps – the sentiment in Wild Wheat ink and the dots in Crumb Cake ink. Add to mini card front with dimensionals and embellish with Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots, part of this suite of products.
To the inside of the mini card… stamp the sentiment on a Basic White panel (2 3/4 x 4) in Crumb Cake ink using the Wildflower Designs stamp set. Add a stamped & die cut flower: stamped with Memento ink and colored with Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends & die cut with Wildflower Designs Dies.
With the card complete… time to decorate the envelope… add another panel of Wildly Flowering DSP 2 1/4 x 6 to the flap and trim to fit. On the front, stamp another of the flowers from the Wildflower Designs stamp set in Memento ink and color with Stampin’ Blends Moody Mauve and Mossy Meadow.
Now… time to visit the others participating in this fun hop. Don’t miss a one! Click on the ‘next’ button or click on a name to take you around to visit everyone. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day. Make someone happy sending them a handmade card filled with love
Good Sunday morning. One of the Online Exclusive bundles/ Suites is the Season of Green & Gold Suite – perfect for Christmas/ holiday cards. I have used the papers in this suite to create a fun fold.
Can you see how it stands on it’s own? And it’s decorated on both sides of the card.
Here are the basics – just remember, any papers can be used to create this card and many different dies as well. I used the items from the Season of Green & Gold Suite: Season of Green SDSP, Graceful Greenery Vellum, Greetings of the Season Bundle and Golden Greenery Bundle. I also used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to create the circle on the card front with the Seasons of Green SDSP.
Card base and basics:
5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored on the long side at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 6 & 7 1/4
Designer Series Papers for the folds are all cut 1 x 5 1/4. Cut 8
Center panels are 3 1/2 x 5 1/4
For the die cuts on the card front, I used Very Vanilla, Distressed Gold SDSP and Graceful Greenery Vellum and the Golden Greenery Dies. For the sentiment panels on front and back I used the Greetings of the Season Bundle, Old Olive ink, Cherry Cobbler ink, more of the Distressed Gold SDSP, Very Vanilla and Season of Green and Gold SDSP. The embellishments are not from this suite, but are Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems. And the Linen Thread bow is a double bow adhered with a glue dot.
Here’s a top view of how the card looks:
And the card & envelope
For the envelope, more of the Season of Green & Gold SDSP on the flap trimmed to fit – and on the front, this beautiful pine bow frond stamped in Old Olive ink: the inner is full strength and the main is second generation stamped.
Today we have a theme challenge titled ‘birds’ and I have chosen to use the Charming Duck Pond bundle & it’s coordinating Lily Pond Lane 6×6 DSP – and made another front flap fun fold :O) For my birds – I chose to use these sweet ducks.
Oh my goodness – such a cute array of stamps and dies in this bundle. I especially like the dies! So let me explain how I did this card.
The card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 in Pretty Peacock. I layered it with a panel of 4 x 5 1/4 Lily Pond Lane 6×6 DSP. I cut another piece of Pretty Peacock card stock 3 x 8 1/2 and scored it at 4 1/4. This was adhered to the card base front with the fold at the top and centered – this is the front flap fold. I decorated this first with another piece of Lily Pond Lane 6×6 DSP in the same pattern as the card front, cut 2 3/4 x 4 and adhered it in place. From a Basic White panel 4 x 3 3/4 I centered this stunning circle die that cuts & embosses the fun design. It has cattails and reeds and lily pads – perhaps you can see the embossing on the cattails from this die. I created another die cut with Granny Apple Green card stock 1 x 3 for additional lily pads – and a scrap of Pretty Peacock for one more lily pad – and a flower in Pretty in Pink card stock. I layered these in place with liquid glue. The additional reed and cattails were die cut from another piece of the Lily Pond Lane 6×6 DSP and adhered these also with liquid glue. I took yet another piece to showcase these adorable ducks & cut this 3 7/8 x 3 5/8 and adhered it to the back of the Basic White die cut. These I added to another piece of Pretty Peacock cut 4 1/8 x 3 7/8 and adhered this to the front flap. For a sentiment… I used the Labeled with Love Punch and Pretty Peacock to create the sentiment banner. I cleaned the piece with the embossing buddy then stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink, then sprinkled with embossing powder over it and heat set with the heat tool. I punched another banner from basic White and adhered it to the back, trimmed the one end so as not to cover mamma duck and adhered it in place with liquid glue. As a final touch I added three Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins and the card front was complete.
For the inside I took a piece of basic White 2 3/4 x 4 and added a strip of Lily Pond Lane 6×6 DSP, then attached this to the inside of the flap. Done!
The envelope back has a piece of Lily Pond Lane 6×6 DSP adhered & trimmed to fit. The envelope front is stamped with two images from Charming Duck Pond stamp set in Memento ink, then colored with other stamps in the set: the duck… beak & feet with Pretty in Pink ink, body in Gray Granite ink, tail feathers in Pretty Peacock ink; the frog… body in Granny Apple Green ink and the lily pad in Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends. What a fun set! Hope you enjoy this card.

Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day. Make someone happy when sending them a handmade card filled with love.
Welcome to Thursday and this fun hop… … I made a slider card – something I have not done before. It’s easy enough, I just haven’t done it. We have a color challenge today and I’ve chosen Petal Pink, Pool Party and Smoky Slate. Hope you like…
The Country Flowers bundle has become a favorite. I didn’t think it would, but the coloring is fun and it relaxes me. AND… besides being a bundle and always 10% off when purchased as a bundle, it is on sale at an additional 10% off through end of June (June 30). What’s not to like about that?! I also used the dies of another bundle – Wildflower Designs Dies, but as a bundle, it is also on sale at the additional 10% off.
My first step to create this card was to stamp the images of the flower and container from the Country Flowers stamp set and color them with Stampin ‘ Blends: Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Basic Black. I die cut the images with coordinating Country Flowers Dies and set them aside to create the card itself.
My next step was to cut the card stock and DSP pieces:
Pool Party – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 & 8 on the long side; 3/4 x 3 1/4; 3 1/2 x 2 (slider)
DSP – Country Woods was my choice for this card – 3 3/4 x 5 1/4, adhered to the card front between the 4 & 8 score lines
Basic White – 3 3/4 x 5 14 (for the inside slide); 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 (slider) 2 1/2 x 4 (flowers & container)
Use the Wildflower Designs Dies to die cut the slider sections for flowers & container, adhere the two layers together. Place the flowers & container together adding adhesive just at the base of the flowers, so they are now one piece. Position them for ‘placement purposes’ on the two slider pieces to know where to stamp the sentiment. The sentiment is from Country Flowers stamp set and stamped in Memento ink. Now add dimensionals on the back of the flowers & container only where they will adhere to the slider & attach. Set aside.
For the card base… adhere the DSP (Country Woods DSP) in the area between the 4 & 8 score lines. Burnish all score lines. On the 1/2″ end add tear n’ tape. Now place the small scored end into the paper trimmer to 1 1/2″, cut from the 1″ mark to the 4 1/2″ mark on your paper trimmer. This will be cutting through both the card stock and the DSP. Take the 3/4 x 3 1/4 strip and add a dimensional to one end and slipit into the slit all the way to the bottom of the slit. Turn card over and add tear n’ tape to the back side of the 3/4 x 3 14″ strip – see photo titled … “from inside.1”. Remove cover on tear n’ tape and add Basic White panel so it is even at the top and adhere to that tear n’ tape. It will be rather floppy at this point as it is only attached at the tear n’ tape.
Slider card front
Slider card from inside.1
Slider card from inside.2
Remove Tear n’ tape cover on the 1/2″ side, fold to inside and close back of card over the strip.
Use a 1 3/4″ circle punch to punch only the card front, not the Basic White piece that will slide. Add a length of ribbon – Petal Pink and White Diagonal Trim Combo Pack – and hold in place with a glue dot – staple it to secure. Pull panel up and stamp sentiment – again from Country Flowers stamp set in Memento ink.
Slider card closed and punched
Slider card decorated
Add the decorated piece to the single dimensional for the card front – and done! You will notice that I added another strip of the Pool Party to the inside of my card… I made a booboo and needed to cover it :O)
Inside card slides easily up & down :O). For the envelope, I kept it really simple – covered the flap in more of the Country Woods DSP and trimmed to fit. One & done.
Such a fun card to make… and super easy. Now, don’t forget a couple of things… stamp & die bundles are still on sale through Jun 30. See my link below. Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day. Make someone happy when sending them a handmade card filled with love.
Good morning, good morning! It’s cool this AM – 57 – after a couple of days of 100% humidity and 87 temps. This feels much more refreshing :O) Thursday was my card class and we did a window z-fold card, similar to what I posted a week or so ago, which you see here. I’m hooked on this style card – just sayin’. I needed a couple of cards – thank you and another for a friend recovering from surgery – and here’s what I did.
I really like the colors of the thank you card with the Misty Moonlight card base than the other card. However, when making a card for a specific person, and the card on the right was, we follow what would be best for them. The card cuts and basic directions are the same for both cards. The main difference is the inside on the second card using the emboss resist technique. The Stitched Shapes Dies were used for the circles and the banner die cuts.
I stamped the partial image of these flowers in VersaMark ink using the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set – re-inking and stamping across the bottom five times. I sprinkled white embossing powder over the image, heat embossed with the heat tool and let it cool for a bit. Once cool, I took a Blending Brush and Boho Blue ink and with swirling/ circling strokes went over the stamped images. Here’s a close-up.
I love this effect and it mimics the Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP. I stamped the sentiments in Fresh Freesia ink using the Unbounded Love stamp set.
Here’s the inside of the ‘thanks’ card.
On this card I stamped the partial image in Wild Wheat ink, mimicking the image on the front of this card. I used a Blending Brush and Misty Moonlight ink to add color over this.
After stamping the image on the inside of the card and not really ‘sold’ on the image, I looked over my stamps and found another image I liked better to use on the envelope front. I stamped it in Whisper White ink then heat set it since it is a pigment ink and takes a bit to dry. I then used that same Blending Brush that I had used on the inside with Misty Moonlight ink and colored over the image. In person, the image is obvious – in the photo it is not. The stamp set used for that was the Charming Ducks stamp set.
Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP item 163303
Thoughtful Wishes stamp set, also on pg 47 – item 163305 HOWEVER… there are coordinating dies, and when purchased as a bundle during the month of June, it is 20% off – Thoughtful Wishes bundle item 163314
These may be found on page 47 in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog.

CARD CUTS:
Card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Basic White inside: 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 scored at 4 & 6 1/4, burnishing to make it a z-fold.
Welcome to JUNE! I can’t believe it is the 6th month of the year already… time marches on. :O) The Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP has lots of watercolor type images of streams, landscapes with flowers, grasses, etc, and is perfect for cutting apart and piecing back together again. A traditional gatefold uses panels on each ‘gate’, while this uses panels attached to each ‘gate’. Let’s look…
In the two photos at left, you can see how the panels are attached to each side of the card front – or gates – and it allows the card to be opened easily. Here are some simple instructions for re-creating this type of gatefold.
The card base is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 2 3/4 on the long side. You can score again @ 8 1/4 but I prefer to close the scored left side and fold the left side to meet it and burnish well with my bone folder. This guarantees no gap or possible overlapping if you have not been particular about scoring.
Layers for the front: cut and adhere together
Misty Moonlight: cut 2, 1 3/4 x 5
Basic White:: cut 2, 1 5/8 x 4 7/8
DSP: cut 2, 1 1/2 x 4 3/4 (in this case Thoughtful Journey 6×6)
I stamped my DSP at this point: butterflies on the top are from Sketched Butterflies stamp set, stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink; sentiment on the bottom panel is also from Sketched Butterflies stamp set and is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink.
Close left ‘gate’ of card base and adhere top completed layer to the ‘gate’ only, leaving equal distance at top & left at score line
Now do the same on the right side. Notice that when the card is closed there are equal distances between the top & bottom panels as well.
For the inside:
Misty Moonlight 4 x 5 1/4 is adhered to the inside of the card
On Basic White 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, stamp the butterfly image in the center with Pumpkin Pie ink. This is from Sketched Butterflies stamp set. Add color to specific areas with Stampin’ Blends Peach Peach Pie and Misty Moonlight.
I added some doodles around the body of the butterfly with my Basic Black Marker.
Stamp the sentiment from Sketched Butterflies stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink; adhere panel to the inside of the card
To complete the card front, I added three Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots.
For the envelope, I added another panel of Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP to the flap and trimmed to fit. I then stamped the butterflies from Sketched Butterflies stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink on the envelope front. And done!
Interestingly, there is no die cutting on this card! It’s just stamps, ink, paper and an easy fun fold. There are so many ways to make this gatefold different.
Stampin’ Up! has a new offer beginning June 5 – 30, 10% off any Stamp & Die set bundle AND 10% off the Mini Die Cut & Emboss machine as well as the standard size Die Cut & Emboss machine. I encourage you to make your list and take advantage of this generous offering.
