Stampin’ Up! Translucent Florals Triple Box Card

Good morning! I’m still in my birthday week and folks have been so generous, both in sending cards and the giving of gifties. Of course, the best gift of all is the gift of friendship :O) Today’s card is just super cute – a triple box card. I may have done one of these in the past, but some time ago.

Stampin' Up! Translucent Florals Triple Box Card

Is this cute or what?! The Translucent Florals stamp set is a distinctive stamp set, which means it has lots of dimension in the stamp. And it prefers an ink pad that is not too inky. The flower is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink and the leaves are stamped in Parakeet Party ink – both stamps from the Translucent Florals stamp set. Each was die cut with the coordinating Translucent Florals Dies. I also used the Leaves Punch and Vellum to punch some background for the main flower. These are attached to a Basic White Hexagon Punched background, some with with Stampin’ Seal or liquid glue. The flower is on a dimensional in order to tuck the leaves and Vellum elements behind it. The double bow is made with Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack, Lemon Yellow & attached with a single glue dot to hold it in place.

The box itself is made with Berry Burst for the card base and Delightful Floral 12 x 12 DSP.

Card base: 8 1/4 x 4, scored at 2, 4, 6, & 8

Small boxes for front (2) – same color as card base: 8 1/4 x 2 scored at 2, 4, 6, 8

Mechanism to hold decorated element- same color as card base: 3 x 1/2 scored at 1/2, 1, 2, & 2 1/2

DSP (Designer Series Paper): (2) 3 3/4 x 1 3/4; (10) 1 3/4 x 1 3/4

Directions:

Burnish all score lines. See photos for reference
Add adhesive to smallest scored section, fold over and adhere. Do this for all three boxes.
Add DSP to inside of tallest box sections. This will be the inside back of the box.
Adhere one of the smaller boxes to the tall front box.
Adhere the other smaller box beside it.
Decorate fronts of all three boxes with the 1 3/4″ DSP – this will use six (6) pieces
Adhere shorter pieces of DSP to inside of smaller boxes – this will use the last four (4) 1 3/4″ squares.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Here For You card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Today is Thursday – which means, it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have a color challenge today and I really like these color combinations. Perennial Lavender 12 x 12 DSP fits the bill perfectly!

I started by determining the showy piece of Perennial Lavender DSP for the front of the card. I die cut the piece with a Deckled Rectangle Die. And yes, I could have used the Perennial Postage Dies instead – and you could easily make that change if you decided to CASE this card. I wanted a slightly less ‘edgy’ look and that’s why I used the Deckled Rectangle Dies. I backed the DSP with a Basic White panel. I used another piece of the Perennial Lavender DSP to die cut the floral image. I adhered it to the DSP panel with dimensionals that I trimmed down to size, then added a double Linen Thread bow and attached it with a glue dot. I wanted a sentiment and pulled out the Perennial Postage stamp set and stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink, cut it apart & fussy cut around the single word – setting the rest aside. I created a Gorgeous Grape card base and covered it with another Perennial Lavender DSP panel just slightly smaller in size. I attached the showy DSP panel to the card front with dimensionals, then added the sentiment with glue on the one end and a dimensional trimmed down to size on the overhanging end. I added three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems near the sentiment for a glitzy touch.

For the inside of the card, I used the other floral die cut and adhered it with liquid glue to the Basic White panel. I took the rest of the stamped sentiment from the card front & cut it apart, added it to a same pattern DSP as the large front panel, trimmed it to a unique shape and adhered it with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions for the Happy Thursday Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for a Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!! We have a sketch challenge today and it’s always interesting how others interpret a challenge,.I have used the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle aND Inspirational Sketches stamp set for my card today. I used other items as well, but these are from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Expressions Grateful Card. Thu Hop 2/1

My card base is Thick Basic White 4 1?4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2, a very basic card base. The next layer is Crushed Curry that has been run through the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I layered another panel of Basic White on top of that 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 then Basic Gray run through the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder 3 14 x 4 1/2. The very front layer is this stunningly gorgeous die cut from Thoughtful Expressions Dies in Basic White, stamped with this beautiful stamp of daisies from Inspirational Sketches stamp set in Basic Gray ink and added to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment is also from Inspirational Sketches stamp set and is stamped with VersaMark ink then sprinkled with Black Embossing Powder and heat set with the heat tool – all on a scrap of Crushed Curry card stock. It was adhered with liquid glue and a dimensional on the far left end. For a final touch I added several Iris=descent Pearly /Basic Jewels for glam. This was another ‘first play’ with Inspirational Sketches stamp set– love this set!

For the inside… A panel of Crushed Curry 4 18 x 5 3/8 then a Basic White panel stamped: Basic Gray ink with flowers from Inspirational Sketches stamp set in opposite corners and a sentiment from Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.

For the envelope… I stamped this floral image in Basic Gray ink from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set on the envelope front – and left it at that. I often emboss the envelope flap, but chose not to this time. I like the simplicity for this card.

Stampin’ Up! Lighter Than Air Suite Shaker Card

Hello folks! Here it is Wednesday already – where has the week gone? I apologize for being MIA… I’ve had trouble with a couple things and it’s been frustrating. Hopefully we’re back on track again. My card today is a shaker card made with the amazing Hot Air Balloon stamp set & coordinating dies and other products in this suite – but the stamp & dies are KEY! First of all, I love the Lighter Than Air 6×6 DSP – soft but colorful papers. Pool Party is soft, as is Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath – all colors in this particular DSP and ink I used on today’s card. Balmy Blue comes across a bit stronger but is still soft.

Stampin' Up! Lighter Than Air Suite, shaker card

Don’t you love the stripes? Here’s what I’m not seeing though…, the stamped sentiment! Aargh! It just isn’t showing in the photo. Aargh again, because I pick up the card and it isn’t that visible there either. HOW DID I MISS THAT? Aaargh. Well, here we are. I’ll just have to die cut another piece and re-stamp it and adhere it over this one, maybe in Balmy Blue. Or maybe I need to re-ink my ink pad? I’m posting the card anyway, and may have to show it again later. The idea is super fun. I haven’t made a shaker card is forever, so there was a learning curve going on… re-teaching myself. :O)

The card base is Pool Party 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored on the long side at 4 1/4. I added the Basic White layer – 4 x 5 1/4 that is just a frame. Note that the color that shows through the hot air balloon die cut is the Pool Party card base. Next I die cut the hot air balloon top with the Hot Air Balloon Dies, turned it to the back side of the Lighter Than Air 6×6 DSP and added a piece of Window Sheet and adhered it in place over the opening. I then added a Foam Adhesive Strip around the die cut. I added more dimensionals on the back side of the DSP and set this aside. I used the die cut piece from the balloon die to note where the DSP panel would be added – and stamped a design for the balloon in Pool Party ink. Yep, I guess I really DO need to re-ink the ink pad! To the card base, I used a small condiment spoon to add some Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to where the balloon die cut front panel will be attached to the card base, then turned the DSP over so it was face up and attached it to the Basic White panel/ card base. YAY! All was in place! And I set about decorating the front.

I die cut the basket for the balloon and the “strings'” that hold the basket to the balloon from Fresh Freesia card stock – both using the Hot Air Balloon Dies. They are so cool, you guys! But then, I proceeded to cover up the ‘strings’ with the sentiment banner. The sentiment banner is in two parts – at least on this card it is… The underlay I’m going to call it, and the overlay. :O) The overlay is the stamped sentiment in Pool Party ink that is too light to see in the photo. It says: Up, Up, And Away! HOORAY! IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY – and it’s been attached with dimensionals. I attached the basket with dabs of glue. I added two Balmy Blue Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots (part of the suite of products) on either side of the banner, then added a bow with a glue dot. The Balmy Blue bow is from the Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack – which is also a part of the Suite.

For the inside… I stamped the balloon in Fresh Freesia ink, then the sentiment in Balmy Blue ink, and the basket in Bubble Bath ink. I left plenty of room for writing as I know where this card is headed. Have you ever been on a hot air balloon ride? I have – and it was fascinating. I could not believe how QUIET it was. We couldn’t hear traffic or even birds singing. Not hearing birds singing was a bit disconcerting to me. I hadn’t suspected it to be that silent.

The envelope… the flap has Lighter Than Air 6×6 DSP adhered and trimmed to fit. The envelope front has a partial sentiment from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set, stamped in Balmy Blue ink. I like this card but am disappointed I didn’t notice how light the stamping. Maybe it was the excitement of a ‘first time play” – who knows. I will play again, and re-ink a couple of ink pads before I play :O)

It’s Christmas Eve morning and excitement is in the air! Before I get too far into my post and the card of the day, let me say thank you to those who follow my blog, post comments, purchase from me, are on my team – all that. Family arrives later today for several days and I will be taking a bit of a break while they are here. I want my focus to be on them and not running to my computer to check for messages concerning this paper crafting business. Yes, each of you is important but family is a priority while they are here – thank you for understanding.

I had this Meandering Meadows DSP on my desk still and couldn’t help but continue playing with it. This time I added this wonderful ‘frame’ that is part of the Garden Meadows Dies. It is die cut from Very Vanilla card stock and added to the DSP with dimensionals. The DSP is adhered to Melon Mambo card stock just slightly larger and that is attached to a Blueberry Bushel card base with dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies buzzing around the flowers for a bit of ‘meadow feeling’.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then the flowers at the bottom in Garden Green ink. This is a precious stamp! The Very Vanilla panel is added to another Melon Mambo piece just slightly larger then into the inside of the card base – and done!

On the envelope I adhered the remaining piece of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 piece, just turned it to the other side. Then stamped that same sweet flower bunch in Garden Green ink on the front.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP Simple Card

Good morning! Today’s card is super simple – intentionally. I’m interested in making several of these to use as a quick notice of thinking of you, or concern, or birthday, or just a note, whether it be of appreciation or thanks or hello friend. I love the color contrasts in this DSP and for the simple layers. Behold… Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP.

Blueberry Bushel is one of the coordinating colors for this DSP and I used it for my card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I trimmed the Meandering Meadows DSP to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and adhered it to Petal Pink just slightly larger. These two panels were added to the card base with dimensionals. As a final touch, three birds were added from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds. They show beautifully because they are brass!

For the inside… I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a Basic White panel, and it comes from the Garden Meadow stamp set, then added a strip of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP to the bottom (a continuation of the pattern from the card front). This was added to another panel of Petal Pink just slightly larger, then into the inside of the card.

The envelope flap got more of the same panel of Meandering Meadow DSP, just the other side of that 6×6 piece to create the card front! On the front of the envelope, I stamped the floral image in Basic Gray ink as it simulates the flowers in the scene on the card front. :O) Stampin’ Up! is really clever in the way they pair the DSP with stamp bundles – and actually, these are all a part of a suite of products in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends Part 2 for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group

Good Tuesday! We have an easy challenge for the hop today… “Celebrate” – and we can interpret that however we like. We have a couple of family birthdays this month so that’s what I’m using. And, while I used this same stamp set Sunday, I’m using a different animal today :O)

Stampin' Up 4 Panel fun fold Fluffiest Friends

Look at that sweet bunny holding a cup cake – is that cute or what?! Using the Fluffiest Friends stamp set, I stamped it in Memento Black ink and colored a bit of the ears, nose and feet pads in Stampin’ Blends Dark Petal Pink. I die cut him with the coordinating Fluffiest Friends Dies. Since I had the dies out, I went ahead and die cut several leaves: in both Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party. I used the Nested Essentials Dies to cut the banner in Basic White. I added a layer of leaves to the banner with liquid glue, then the bunny on dimensionals and a few more leaves on dimensionals. The single heart is from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.

This is a 4 panel fun fold card and I used Petal Pink card stock for the card base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 1 1/4 and 4 1/4. I added panels of DSP: Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP, also from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. The pieces are (2) 1 x 5 1/2 and (2) 2 3/4 x 5 1/4. The banner with the bunny was added with Stampin’ Seal to the folded back front panel.

For the inside sentiment panel – Basic White piece – 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 – I pulled out another stamp set, Beautiful Balloons from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the Happy Birthday in Sweet Sorbet ink then the rounded sentiment in Petal Pink ink. The flowers at the bottom come from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set and are stamped in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends: Dark Petal Pink, Light Sweet Sorbet, Light Lemon Lolly and Light Granny Apple Green. On top of a few of the flowers I added a flower from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers. I adhered a few more of the die cut leaves in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party, attached the panel to the inside and the card was done.

For the envelope, I added more of the Sweet Sorbet DSP from Bee Mine 12×12 DSP pack to the flap. I stamped the balloon in Sweet Sorbet ink using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. I used a Basic Black Marker to add a bow and some squiggly string. I think the person receiving this card is going to love it! It’s feminine, full of color and has a super cute bunny :O)

Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends Birthday

Good Sunday! My apologies… I thought I had scheduled this to publish and didn’t!!! I have a fun, bright & cheery birthday card for you today, using the Fluffiest Friends bundle.

This is a very colorful card… because the person to whom it is being sent likes color :O) I started with the Granny Apple Green card base. With scraps of Granny Apple Green I die cut the grassy layers (5 of them) using the Fluffiest Friends Dies. I stamped the animal image (is this a raccoon? I can’t tell!) holding a ballon, colored it with Stampin’ Blends Crumb Cake (body) and Petal Pink (hands & feet) and a dot of black on the nose. I die cut this image, also from the Fluffiest Friends Dies and adhered it to a Basic White panel (3 x 4) I die cut two balloons, one from Pumpkin Pie and one from Berry Burst. I adhered the orange balloon with dimensionals and the other directly to the panel. With my Basic Black marker I drew a couple of squiggly lines. I stamped the word HAPPY in Berry Burst ink using the Biggest Wish stamp set. The grasses were added to the Basic White panel in two layers… the first adhered with liquid glue, the second with strips of cut dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio Pack in Berry Burst. This entire panel was added to a larger piece of Glorious Gingham 6×6 DSP in Berry Burst and that was added to a Basic White, then attached with liquid glue to the card base.

For the inside… a strip of the Glorious Gingham 6×6 DSP in Berry Burst was adhered near the bottom of the Basic White panel and the sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink from Biggest Wish stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Shining Christmas and Merriest Trees Dies Gift Card Holder

Good Monday morning! Gosh – here we are really INTO December. Have you decorated the house yet? We are in the midst and it is so very messy with all the boxes of decorations. The tree is the last thing to do… as we purchase a live cut tree. So we wait so it doesn’t become too dry and a hazard. :O)

Today’s post is all about gift card holders – and I have one to share that’s different. I like it!

Stampin' Up! Shining Christmas SDSP & Merriest Trees Dies

Love this little gift card holder and I’m in the process of making a few. This SDSP is shiny and of course, two-sided. The panel is 4 x 12 scored at 3, 6, & 9 1/8. Burnish gently. On last panel mark 1/2″ from the last score line at the top of the segment; make another 1/2″ mark up from the bottom of the end panel and cut diagonally.

Add Tear n Tape where the white strips are. Cut a panel of Basic White 2 7/8 x 3 7/8, stamp with sentiment (here I used the Brightest Glow stamp set and Cherry Cobbler ink) and adhere to second panel of SDSP (between 2nd & 3rd score lines). Remove Tear n Tape & close.

Cut about 20″ length of ribbon (here I used Real Red from the Real Red & Garden Green combo pack); add Stampin’ Seal to ribbon about 6 1/2 from one end and for about 6″.; add to front panel and to second panel, centering from top to bottom. Now decorate!

I used the various sections of the Merriest Trees Dies to die cut the layers for the tree in Basic White. I attached each layer with dimensionals and added it over the ribbon – with dimensionals. I used the Silver & Gold Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and Merriest Trees Dies to die cut the trim and the star atop the tree and added these ever to easily to the complete the tree. I die cut a banner to add a name with the Tailor Made Tags Dies in Basic White and two circles over the hole in Cherry Cobbler. I colored a length of white twine with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and tied it in a bow. This tag was attached with dimensionals. I die cut another tag jst as an illustration of where the gift card or check could be placed in the enclosure. And done!

This could so easily be used as a birthday gift card holder or graduation, or anniversary – just change up the Designer Series Paper and decorating the front panel – and there ya go.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Card as Pop Up Shadow Box

Good Friday morning! Ok, December 1 it is and the countdown begins to Christmas or end of year 2023. I hosted a card class yesterday and we have been making cards with the Kraft Note Card & box set. I shared the box some time ago, but I think not this shadow-box card. Click here to see the box post. We used the Fruitful Blessings bundle (includes coordinating dies), Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder, several Stampin’ Blends, Vellum, Deckled Circles Dies, O Holy Night DSP, Wild Wheat and Old Olive card stock.

From the front it is not obvious this is a shadow box card. And, I’ve used two note cards adhered together to make this work. For the front, here’s what we did…

Stamp the image: acorns w/ leaves & additional acorn using the Fruitful Blessings stamp set & Memento ink on Basic White card stock.
Color the acorns with Wild Wheat & Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. Color the leaves with Stampin’ Blends Old Olive.
Die cut a few leaves from Old Olive card stock using the Fruitful Blessings Dies.
Die cut a circle from Vellum using the Deckled Circles Dies (these may be found as part of the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES).
Die cut stamped images using Fruitful Blessings Dies.
Run a panel of Wild Wheat through the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.

The Kraft Note cards are 7 x 5 scored @ 3 1/2. Score again @ 6 1/2. Take another Kraft Note Card and cut to just shy of 4 x 5 and score @ 1/2 at each long side. Adhere the two note card together so they measure 5 x 10 1/2 and score marks appear @ 3 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 & 10. Adhere Tear n Tape between score mark 10 to end of card @ 10 1/2. Die cut 3rd full panel with the Nested Essentials Dies. (For this card I used the Nested Essentials Dies, but would prefer the Countryside Corners Dies.)

I got too excited aboput putting this together that I didn’t take enough photos!!! But here’s the inside. On the 2nd panel is the O Holy Night DSP cut just slightly less than 3 1/2 x 5. The stamped image is from Fruitful Blessings stamped on Basic White, colored with various Stampin’ Blends and adhered in place. Colors are: Wild Wheat, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Copper Clay, Dark Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Orchid Oasis. After adhering this colored piece in place, remove seal on Tear n Tape, close card so this adheres to the back of the card front. The single acorn die cut & the acorn w/ leaves were done same as the card front. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink using the Fruitful Blessings stamp set. The finished card will look like this from a top view.
