Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Cards

Good morning! Here we are at the end of another week – whoa, it’s going by so quickly. I’ve had trouble with my computer for too many days now. All of a sudden everything started working again… I am shocked but pleased as punch! Photos are coming through – in other words, being synched to my computer – amazing! I’ll keep my finger crossed :O)

In my most recent card class we have been playing with the Kraft Note Cards which come as a set of 20 note cards & envelopes plus a box that is ready to put together. We have also been using the Abundant Beauty Masks to create the cards and decorate the box. And each persons personality is coming through in their own way. Today I’ll share photos of my box.

In the first photo you can see the many layers of the Abundant Beauty floral mask. I used five layers, each colored with Blending Brushes & Crushed Curry for an overall color, then Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and maybe even some Real Red. It’s multi layered just as most flowers are not one solid color. The flower centers are Crushed Curry followed by soft Early Espresso – all using Blending Brushes. The second photo shows that I added Wink of Stella to many of the petals for a bit of bling. To color the larger leaves that are part of the mask, I used Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for shading the tips of the leaves – of course with Blending Brushes. The additional leaves were stamped in those same two colors and Layering Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Leaves Punch. The bow was made with Copper Ribbon from the Burlap & Ribbon Combo Pack, plus a bit of Linen Thread. It’s adhered with a couple of glue dots.

This floral display sits on two die cuts of Designer Series Papers using the Countryside Corners Dies. The larger panel is die cut from Masterfully Made DSP and the top layer is Winter Meadow DSP. These two were adhered together with dimensionals then attached to the belly band with Tear ‘n Tape. The belly band is 2 1/2″ wide x 12 and is cut from Tartan Foil SDSP in Lost Lagoon.

The box… prior to putting it together, I used the houndstooth mask to completely cover the bottom and sides of the box, keeping the mask going in the same direction. I used post-it tape to hold it in place in each section. The color is Early espresso ink with the Blending Brushes of course and I tried to vary the depth of color.

Stampin’ Up! Simple Fun Fold Note Card

It isn’t raining this morning! Wheee – maybe a bit of sunshine once we have daylight. It’s still dark here in NJ at 6 AM. This card is elegant due to the Shining Brightly DSP: deep Night of Navy & Gold are just stunning on Very Vanilla. And I’ve chosen to do this on a note card size, which when folded is 3 1/2 x 5. But it could easily be done on a standard A2 size card: just adjust the front score to maybe 1 3/4″ and change up the DSP measurements. I see another post opportunity! :O)

Stampin' Up! Simple Fun Fold Note Card

Isn’t this Shining Brightly DSP just stunning?! I’ve paired it with Something Fancy stamp set and Something Fancy Dies for the sentiment banner. And these Gold Holly Leaves and Loose Holly Gems and Sequins add a delicate and wonderful touch. I began by scoring the notecard front at 1 1/2 then folded that back on itself. I added the Sining Brightly 1 34 x 4 34 to the front left panel and another strip cut 1 14 x 4 34 to the folded back front section. Next I added another piece 1 34 x 4 34 to the inside right so that when it closes it really is noticeable.

The Very Vanilla sentiment banner was first wiped with an Embossing Buddy to remove any static, then I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder then heat set. After die cutting I added the Gold Holly Leaves and the cute red gems from Loose Holly Gems & Sequins. I added dimensionals only on the left side of banner and secured the banner in place. Nearly done!

Stampin' Up! Simple Fun Fold Note Card inside

For the inside I used the Leaf Punch and Distressed Gold SDSP to punch a leaf. I trimmed it into sections and adhered the multi-leaf section in the top left and the single leaf in the lower right. I added more red gems from the Loose Holly Gems and Sequins to pull it all together. This allows plenty of room for my message :O)

Stampin' Up! Simple Fun Fold Note Card & envelope

For the envelope – very simple… I used another panel of the Shining Brightly DSP to adhere to the flap & trimmed it to fit.

Note Cards are available in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog as are the Gold Holly Leaves; the Shining Brightly DSP and the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins are shown in the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain Note Card

It’s Friday… maybe TGIF? So much going on lately. Are you feeling overwhelmed or need a fun craft break? Note cards are the way to go… and Playing in the Rain stamp bundle is full of fun images ~ and will relax you as you giggle your way into the making of cards. I held a class yesterday (Thursday) and we made a box that holds note cards & envelopes. They are a perfect size for many uses, hello friend, birthday, really, you name it. The finished size is 3 1/2 x 5 – and here’s the first card we made.

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain Note Card

We first took a piece of the Rain or Shine DSP and adhered it to the card front. We then took the Stylish Shapes Dies and second largest circle to die cut an image from the DSP. This little dancer is just too cute! I put dimensionals on the back and adhered it to the card. I stamped the sentiment on a panel of Basic White and die cut it with an appropriate banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies, added dimensionals and attached it. I added three little Loose Daisy Embellishments to the banner – and bingo, card front done!

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain Note Card inside

For the inside, I took a very thin strip of the Rain or Shine DSP used on the front and adhered it along the side, then stamped the floral image from Playing in the Rain stamp set in Smoky Slate ink-and done.

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain Note Card & Envelope

For the envelope… I stamped the same image as inside the card with Smoky Slate ink and Playing in the Rain stamp set, then colored it with Stampin’ Blends Mango Melody and Old Olive. Remember to slip a scrap of paper in the envelope before coloring as alcohol inks bleed through… hint, hint! I added a piece of the same Rain or Shine DSP to the envelope flap and trimmed to fit. This would be an easy card to duplicate in a batch: cut all the card fronts; die cut the images; stamp several sentiments and die cut ~ bing bang boom ~ a box full of cards ready to give as a gift or to send.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Cards & Nature’s Harvest

Here it is Wednesday and in just two days I’ll be attending Stampin’ Up! Convention in Jacksonville. Of course a storm is headed there too… so I’m just a bit anxious. Keeping tabs on everything but definitely excited about the convention. It’s always a positive, upbeat experience. The atmosphere is ….. well, you gotta be there 😁

A couple of days ago I was using the Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes and there were two left in the package – so my thought was, use them! So I paired them with Nature’s Harvest stamp set & Memento ink.

Stampin' Up! Kraft Note Cards & Nature's Harvest.1

Stampin' Up! Kraft Note Cards & Nature's Harvest.2

The first card is done with a Water Painter & Whisper White Craft ink for the flower heads. They are definitely brighter & more intense in color. The stems and leaves are done with Watercolor Pencils. The second card is done with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen, so softer. And of course the Tailor Made Tag Die brings direct attention to the tag, not so much the flowers. I think I prefer the first card. The bow is Baker’s Twine Essential Pack, white. I cut a length and pulled the strands apart. It’s attached with a folded over glue dot. These cards are for someone moving, so the sentiments are perfect on both cards – and they come from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes & Nature's Harvest, inside.3
Stampin' Up! Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes & Nature's Harvest, inside.4

Both of the insides of the Note Cards are the same: the small floral bouquet is from Nature’s Harvest stamp set stamped in Memento Black ink. The color blotch is also from Nature’s Harvest and is stamped in So Saffron ink. The Basic White panel was added with liquid glue and the card was complete.

Stampin' Up! Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes & Nature's Harvest.5
Stampin' Up! Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes & Nature's Harvest.6

For the envelope, I added a Subtles 6×6 DSP in So Saffron to the envelope flap and trimmed it to fit for both envelopes. So, tell me, do you have a preference on cards? Do you like one better than the other?

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Hearts Dies for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

WooHoo ~ it’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. You’re going to see some wonderful ideas from this group, so let’s get on with it.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 18034290_10213018857694437_1570318010991291595_n.jpg

And we have a sketch challenge this week that is kinda fun – and you will see many ideas for making this sketch shine.

May be an image of text that says 'Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop January 20- Sketch Challenge'

My card is a Note card and I’v e chosen to work with the Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 SDSP and the Sweet Hearts Dies. Let’s take a peak.

Sweet Hearts Dies.1

Are these tiny hearts sweet or what?! The die I used cuts four of these at a time which makes it really easily to die cut multiples. As I look at this, I’m wondering why I didn’t add another strip of color to the inside of the Abstract Beauty 4×6 SDSP… Hmmm. A bit of ribbon maybe. Well, another card another day 🙂 These note cards are 3 1/2 x 5, so I cut a panel of Basic White card stock just that size, stamped the sentiment (from Rainbow of Happiness stamp set) in Magenta Madness ink, then ran this through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I added the two narrow strips of the Abstract Beauty 4×6 SDSP to each side. I die cut the hearts from the same SDSP. The top gold heart is on a mini dimensional cut down to fit. The other hearts are added with dabs of liquid glue, and I put the dot of glue right on the card front in lieu of the heart.

For the inside of the card….

Sweet Heart Dies.2

I added another strip of the Abstract Beauty 4×6 SDSP to the right inside of the card and final heart die cut. Sweet, simple.

Sweet Heart Dies.3

For the envelope I stamped the front with the same sentiment from Rainbows of Happiness stamp set buty used Blushing Bride ink. And for envelope flap, a piece of Simply Marbelous 6×6 DSP (FREE during Sale-a-bration!) adhered with liquid glue and trimmed to fit.

Sale-a-bration is from 4 Jan to 28 Feb ~ that means placing orders during this time can earn you some FREE PRODUCTS. What are you waiting for??? SU! Boho Indigo #3

Hello again – it’s Wednesday, hump day or haawmp day depending on the part of the country. There are probably even more pronunciations than that – but never mind…. It’s still Wednesday and we need to do something special with this day God has provided. How about … call someone whom you haven’t seen for a while and ask them how they are.  I have a list of folks the church has given me and they are so appreciative of the connection. We have bonded in a new way because of a simple phone call.

On to the card… it’s another Note Card and another vase from the Boho Indigo stamp set and coordinating dies. I had originally stamped three in Memento Black ink and they sat on my desk – this is the last of those.

Boho Indigo 3

I have used the In Good Taste DSP to cover the entire front of the note card. I stamped the leaf ‘bouquet’ in Crumb Cake ink onto a piece of Whisper White cs and fussy cut it. Then I took these sweet little flowers that are part of the Boho Indigo Product Medley of products and adhered them with a glue dot. I then adhered this behind the vase (which is on dimensionals) onto the Postage Stamp Punched piece of Whisper White. I colored the decor of the vase with Dark Crumb Cake Blends except for the flower centers. Those I left White. I then took a length of Metallic Mesh ribbon, tied the center to make it gather and adhered it to the back of this with a glue dot. Then the vase panel, leaves and all, got dimensionals and put in the center of the card. I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings onto a Whisper White scrap with Balmy Blue ink and fussy cut it. This also got dimensionals and was placed onto the card.

For the envelope I used the same paper from In Good Taste DSP to cover the flap – liquid glue – and fussy cut. I stamped the three flowers from Boho Indigo Stamp set on the envelop front in Crumb Cake ink and the card was complete.

Boho Indigo 3

Here are the three Note Cards… the one above and two below.

Boho Indigo on a Notecard

Boho Indigo 2

These could be used as a gift set or sent individually as each is unique in itself. Love the Boho Indigo Product Medley…

So what’s topping you from buying this wonderful medley? You know you have to have it… Shop with me using my CURRENT HOST CODE Z3WFFJTH. When your order is $50-$150 it’s appropriate to use3 the host code. If it’s OVER that amount, don’t use the host code. You’ll still receive a free item from me, but SU! offers Stampin’ Rewards too. That free item from me? – a SU! item worth $10 of your choice. 😁

Card cuts for today’s card:

  • In Good Taste DSP 3 1/2 x 5 (card front) + 1 3/4 x 5 1/4 (envelope flap)
  • Whisper White approximately 2 x 4 1/2 for the stamped leaves, the Postage Stamp Punch and the fussy cut sentiment

Thanks for stopping by.

May you have a beautiful day.

Make someone happy by sending them a handmade card filled with love.

SU! Boho Indigo #2 on Notecard

Hi Everyone! It is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l here in NJ, USA… Cool temps, low humidity – yes – I could accept this for a while 😁… Just perfect!

My card for today is another Boho Indigo on a Notecard. I had stamped three vases in Memento Black ink some time ago and they have been sitting on my workspace waiting patiently to be used. I swear a little gremlin kept pushing them forward saying “use me, use me”. Must be my imagination 🙂

Card…

Boho Indigo 2

What we have is three colors (a couple of shades of green but that’s ok): a Petal Pink from the Peony Garden DSP, solid Petal Pink cs , Whisper White cs (Postage Stamp Punch, sentiment banners and of course the Notecard, and Pear Pizzazz (+ Old Olive 1/4″ Ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack).

Stamp the vase from the Boho Indigo stamp set in Memento Black ink. Add dimesnionals to it and adhere to a Whisper White piece that has been punched using the Postage Stamp Punch. (Love this punch – such a sweet border it creates…) Die cut the leaves (twice) from Pear Pizzazz cs using the Boho Indigo coordinating dies. Trim the extended stems and adhere with liquid glue to the Whisper White Postage Stamp Punch. Adhere this vase ‘decor’ to a panel of the Petal Pink from the Peony Garden DSP with liquid glue, then to a solid piece of Petal Pink cs. Add a 1/4 length of Pear Pizzazz cs to the Notecard front, then add the Petal Pink completed panel with dimensionals.Add the folded folded 1/4″ Old Olive Ribbon with a glue dot I wanted this to be a thank you card… so I pulled out Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and stamped the sentiment on a 1/4″ Whisper White strip and cut it apart adding a banner end to the ‘thanks’ word. I adhered these with liquid glue.

For the envelope I adhered the same Peony Garden DSP to the envelope flap then stamped the ‘fleur’ across the bottom with Pear Pizzazz ink.

Thanks for stopping by.

May you have a beautiful day.

Make someone happy by sending them a handmade card filled with love.

Card Cuts for this card…

  • Petal Pink 2 3/8 x 4 3/8
  • Peony Garden DSP 2 x 4
  • Whisper White for the Postage Stamp Punch – approximately 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 + 1/4″ strip for sentiment approximately 2″ in length

SU! Boho Indigo & Notecards

Hi everyone… how are you this holiday weekend? Cannot believe it is Labor Day already… THANK YOU VETERANS & FAMILIES FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO THIS AMAZING COUNTRY. YOU ARE VALUABLE AND INCREDIBLY BRAVE. From my heart to yours – thank you for your service.

My card today uses the Boho Indigo stamp set and coordinating dies and is added to a Notecard. Love this size…

Boho Indigo on a Notecard

I started by stamping the largest vase stamp from the Boho Indigo stamp set on a Whisper White cs with Memento Black ink and die cutting it with the  coordinating dies. I then stamped the leaf grouping using sponge daubers and Garden Green ink and Pear Pizzazz ink. In nature not all leaves are exactly uniform in color, so why should these be – right? Since there is not a die for this stamp, I fussy cut it. I used the Postage Stamp Punch and Whisper White to create a background for the vase, adhering the vase with dimensionals. I used a Petal Pink from the Peony Garden DSP and adhered the Vase/ Postage stamp Punched piece with liquid glue. I put dimensionals on the back of the leaf bunch and added it, making it look as though the leaves were in the vase. This Peony Garden panel was adhered to Basic Black cs with liquid glue. I added a length of folded in half piece of Old Olive 1/4″ Ribbon to the back with Stampin Seal and this entire panel was adhered to the notecard with dimensionals. I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.

On the inside I stamped this cute leaf stamp along three sides with Garden Green ink then stamped the birthday greeting from Boho Indigo stamp set in Pear Pizzazz.

For the envelope I added the same Petal pink from the Peony Garden DSP to the envelope flap and the sweet leaf stamp to the front and the card was complete. Fun! and different…

Stampin’ Up and Notes of Kindness Card Kit

Hi Folks… Oh today is sunny and beautiful! We have had so much rain and cool temps and with having to be socially isolated, it’s a breath of fresh air. Thank you God! While the world is struggling with the Coronavirus, our yard is coming alive.. I’m going to share just a few pictures so you get the idea.

Very young Brunnera – look at that sweet delicate flower :o)

Bleeding Heart

Was that enough? You get why I’m all excited about the yard “coming to life.” We have a very shaded back yard and all of these are enjoying the cool weather, the rain to wet their feet and today’s sunshine.

😁 My little bit of heaven…

Yesterday I filled my card kits and I want to share the packaging. Yes, I shared it earlier in the week, but the pkg was empty – and now it’s full :o) (They are mailed already – out at 9 AM this morning!)

The box on the right was a late order and I wanted to do something slightly different. I like how it turned out.

Then… I worked on this fun card kit – Notes of Kindness. It comes complete with an acrylic block, a Stampin’ Spot, dimensionals, glue dots and supplies to make 20 – get that 20 cards to put together – oh and did I say directions too?. Love, love, love the soft pink and green together. Here’s what it looks like before opening the pkg and putting the cards together.
