Stampin’ Up! Playing in the Rain Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello everyone! It’s that time of week… for the blog hop!

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday hop.3/23
Stampin' Up! Blog Hop Challenge

Spring is in the air… daffodils are up as are Star Flower, crocus, Narcissus. Hellebores are really showing off (that’s a Lenten Rose if you didn’t know). And temps are rising, sort of… lots of wind – you know March! And here’s my card, a fun fold. It’s an off-set gatefold is what it is. And I really like the offset business.

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain bundle

This card begins with Balmy Blue card stock, scored on both ends, just not evenly 😀 Next I added Mango Melody adhered to each panel, then Rain or Shine DSP on top of that.

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain, inside

Moving to the inside of the card, I adhered Rain or Shine DSP to each end panel. I then added Mango Melody to the center panel, I then took a piece of Basic White and stamped the sweet flowers at the bottom using the Playing in the Rain stamp set & Memento ink. I colored the flowers with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Blends, I stamped the raindrops, again from Playing in the Rain, in Balmy Blue ink. The sentiment also comes from Playing in the Rain and is stamped in Balmy Blue ink. This panel was adhered in the center panel and the inside was complete.

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain fun fold with belly band

To make the belly band I cut a strip of Mango Melody in 1 x 91/4, wrapped it around the card loosely and adhered the ends together in the front. I removed the strip & burnished the folds of the band. I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies and another piece of the Rain or Shine DSP. I die cut a slightly smaller circle in Basic White for strength and adhered it to the back of the circle. This was adhered with glue to the belly band, covering the glued ends. I die cut directly from the Rain or Shine DSP, this sweet fox with the umbrella and adhered it with dimensionals to the circle.

Stampin' Up! Playing in the Rain fun fold card & envelope

For the envelope, more of the Rain or Shine DSP for the flap; stamped flowers ( Memento ink) and rain drops (Balmy Blue ink) from Playing in the Rain stamp set ~ and the card & envelope were done! Such a cute card!!!

Stampin’ Up! DSP Fun Fold

Good Friday morning… oh wait, that needs to be read with a bit of Irish brogue… good Fridee mornin’ 😀 Happy St. Patty’s day 👍. I have three fun cards for you today – pretty much made the same, just with different Designer Series Papers. The first is the Hello, Irresistible DSP from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES and the Irresistible Bloom Bundle.

Stampin' Up! Irresistible Blooms Bundle
Stampin' Up! Irresistible Blooms Bundle, inside

Hello, Irresistible DSP, Fine Shimmer Paper in gold, Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo for the card back… + the Irresistible Blooms Bundle for the Flowers and leaves. You can see in the photo showing the inside of the card how the DSP shows off. Loose Frosted Dots were added for glam.

Stampin' Up! Happy Forest Friends
Stampin' Up! Happy Forest Friends inside

Happy Forest Friends DSP is the show-off on this card. Additions to make it: Smoky Slate & Fine Shimmer Paper thin strips, Happier than Happy Bundle (butterfly & sentiment) and a bit of Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack in Crumb Cake. So Saffron card stock was used for card back.

Stampin' Up! Happy Forest Friends DSP without wrap
Stampin' Up! Happy Forest Friends DSP, no wrap, inside

Here again, the show-off is the Happy Forest Friends DSP, but without folding it back on itself.. & it shows off the back of the DSP when opening the card. So Saffron for the card back & Soft Suede for the sentiment banner + the Essential Tag Punch. Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the tag. These are such fun cards to have on hand to add sentiments to when needed. And here’s how to do cards 1 & 2.

  • Cut DSP 5 1/2 x 6, score on long side (with scene right side up) @ 1/2 on left and 4 1/2 on right end. Burnish. TIP: this creates a card front 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and is best with any DSP that has a ‘scene’.
  • Add card back (4 3/16 x 5 1/2) to 1/2 end of DSP. Best way to do this is to add adhesive to the 1/2″ end of DSP (inside) & slip card back in the fold and close the card front.
  • Add the two 1/2″ strips to inside of the right end of the DSP
  • Add adhesive to back of strips & back of DSP on right end and fold to front on burnish. This shows the back side of the DSP which coordinates so well with the card front. When opening the card, the ‘back’ of the DSP adds a great pattern for the inside of the card.
  • Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 added to card for writing. A 1/2″ strip of the DSP was added to further show the DSP

Card 3 was even simpler, with the entire card front showing the DSP without it folding back on itself. I still used the same DSP size 5 1/2 x 6 and scored @ 1 1/4, making certain when scoring the ‘scene’ is right side up 😀And the card back was So Saffron 4 3/16 x 5 1/2.

Here are the three cards with envelopes – great variety with same basic template. Love how the ‘scene’ of the DSP is the primary focus – at least in the last two cards. This does show you how to give variety to a basic layout. To see another card with this same layout, please look here.

Stampin’ Up! Sentimental Park Gatefold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

.Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! You may come from the creative Tara or simply hopped in here. However you arrived, we’re glad you came. We have a color challenge today and when I saw the challenge I immediately went to my DSP stash to see what ‘fit the bill’. I hope you like the card.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Blog Hop Color Challenge
Stampin' Up! Sentimental Park Gatefold. hop 3/9

The only color missing in this Designer Series Paper is Coastal Cabana ~ and the paper is called Regency Park 6×6 DSP. I’ve used Petal Pink as my card base with Night of Navy on each of the side panels under the Designer Series Paper. The focal point is the decoration on the belly band. I first die cut the larger piece in Night of Navy, then die cut several flowers: Night of Navy, Basic White and a single Petal Pink. Once I adhered the small flowers to the Night of Navy , I die cut a Basic White piece to add the sentiment. The sentiment comes from Sentimental Park stamp set and is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I adhered this piece to the Night of Navy decorated piece with Stampin’ Seal, slipping it under the flowers. It worked perfectly. I then added a bow with the Bordered Ribbon, which is Night of Navy. After making the bow I trimmed down the center of the ribbon so that it looked softer. I adhered this to the sentiment panel with a glue dot.

Back to the card base… cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, I score on the long side at 2 1/8, then fold the opposite side over to meet it. Sometimes when I score each long side at 2 1/8, there is a gap, and I didn’t want that. Night of Navy panels were added to each small panel, then a piece of the Regency Park was adhered over that. Because the belly band is the show piece on this card, I completed that by wrapping a 1 x 9 1/2 strip of Night of Navy around the card, overlapping in front and securing the ends together with Stampin’ Seal. I added the decorated sentiment banner to the front (right on the 1″ strip) with Stampin’ Seal. I removed the completed belly band to finish the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Sentimental Park belly band

For the inside, I added more pieces of the Regency Park DSP showing off a Balmy Blue design.on each panel. For the center panel I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink – still from the Sentimental Park stamp set. Then I stamped the flower ‘bouquet’ in Petal Pink ink in two places, surrounding the sentiment. The ‘bouquet’ is also park of the Sentimental Park stamp set. I adhered the Basic White panel to the center of the inside and the card was done.

Stampin' Up! Sentimental Park gatefold card inside

For the envelope… more of the same design of Regency Park 6×6 DSP as on the card front for the flap, trimmed tom fit. Across the front I adhered a strip of the Regency Park 6×6 DSP pattern in Balmy Blue to coordinate perfectly with the card.

Stampin' Up! Sentimental Park Gatefold card & envelope

I love how this turned out – the contrasts in color compliment each other nicely and show off the banner too.

Stampin’ Up! Rhino Ready Floating Panel Fun Fold

Good Sunday morning. The ONLINE EXCLUSIVES have been a big hit and with the March 1 offerings was this fun bundle – the Rhino Ready stamp set and Rhino Ready Dies. The rhinos are so cute and a bit sassy and I couldn’t resist. Pinterest is a wonderful resource for ideas & instructions and I found this Floating Fun Fold by LeeAnn Greff that this new set was perfect for making this card.

Stampin' Up! Rhino Ready stamp set
Stampin' Up! Rhino Ready Dies

This is so incredibly easy ~ so here ya go…

  • The card base is Basic White and is 8 1/2 x 5 12, scored at 2 1/8 & 4 1/4
  • The two front panels are from the Subtles 6×6 DSP and are cut 2 x 5 1/4. Quick tip: I make sure when there is a pattern that the panels match side by side. These are Calypso Coral… adhere to the two front panels on the card base.
  • Using the Deckled Rectangle Dies, cut a Basic White panel to stamp, color & decorate for the floating panel
    • Stamp the Rhino with Memento ink and color with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends
    • Die cut the birthday hat from a scrap of Subtles 6×6 DSP – this time in Pear Pizzazz. Add hat to the rhino with a dimensional. Add a Balmy Blue sequin from the Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequin pack.
    • Stamp the sentiment from the Rhino Ready stamp set in Memento ink on a Basic White strip, then die cut with the banner die from Something Fancy Dies. Adhere to the stamped panel with dimensionals. Add three Classic Matte Dots in Gray.
    • Stamp the bird from Rhino Ready stamp set in Memento ink, color with Dark Daffodil Delight Blends and die cut with the appropriate die from Rhino Ready Dies. Add with a mini dimensional cut in half added to the top of the bird and a dab of glue to the feet
  • Die cut another piece slightly larger than the rhino panel using the Deckled Rectangle dies and Gray Granite card stock. Adhere this to the back of the stamped rhino.
  • Now to create the ‘floating’ pieces 😀
    • Cut two pieces of card stock 3/4 x 1 3/4; fold in half. Estimating the half point on the front panels of the card base, add adhesive to one side of the folded strip and attach at the fold. Do the same with the other strip making sure the folds butt against one another.
    • Add adhesive to the loose end of the strip and set the rhino stamped panel on it. Do the other side. The attached strips should look like the photo below.
Stampin' Up! Rhino Ready Floating Fun Fun. floating mechanism
Stampin' Up! Rhino Ready Floating Panel Fun Fold. floating mechanism.2

Decorate the inside…

  • On a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel, stamp the grass in Pear Pizzazz ink. The grass comes from the Rhino Ready stamp set.
  • Stamp the birthday sentiment from Rhino Ready stamp set in Memento ink
  • On a separate piece of Basic White, stamp the rhino with the bird on it’s back and stamp another individual bird.
    • Color the rhino with Gray Granite Blends and the birds with Dark Daffodil Delight. Die cut each with the coordinating dies in the Rhino Ready Dies.
    • Die cut three of the grasses from Pear Pizzazz and layer on top of one another, using liquid glue to secure. Add to the card as shown. This will be the ‘stopper’ to allow the card to remain folded when it stands for display.
    • Adhere the rhino in place with loiquid glue and the bird as well.
  • Adhere stamped piece to 4 1/8 x 5 38 piece of Gray Granite card stock and add to inside of card.
Stampin' Up! Rhino Ready Floating Panel Fun Fold.inside

Now for the envelope…

  • Stamp the grass along the bottom of the envelope with Pear Pizzazz ink, leaving an opening for the bird peeking through.
  • Stamp the bird in Memento ink and color with Dark Daffodil Delight Blend
  • Add Subtles 6×6 DSP in Calypso Coral to the flap, 2 1/4 x 6 & trim to fit. My piece of DSP was only about 2″ so I added a Gray Granite strip first, then the DSP

Stampin’ Up! Petal Park Bundle and a Fun Fold

Good Friday morning! It’s raining here, gray & overcast. UGH. But I have a card for you that will hopefully brighten your day. I’ve chosen to make another Diamond Flip Fold card – just because I found it so much fun – and it makes a statement. I’ve used the Regency Park 6×6 DSP , the Petal Park Bundle (includes the Petal Park Builder Punch) and the Charming Sentiment Bundle (includes the Sentiment Silhouette Dies). You can see the other Diamond Flip Card here.

Stampin' Up! Petal Park Diamond Flip Fold.1

The card base is Night of Navy and I’ve used Balmy Blue as a background behind the DSP and the stamped diamond on the card front. There is not a lot of writing room as this card shows, but in lieu of DSP on the inside, you could easily have a layer of Basic White to have more room. What’s nice – make it your own by changing it up. You will notice in the photos below that I have not put any DSP on the diamond ends of the card on the inside – as I did on the previous card. It seemed too busy, so I left it off – and, I like it better.

Stampin' Up! Petal Park Diamond Flip Fold.2
Stampin' Up! Petal Park Diamond Flip Fold.3
Stampin' Up! Petal Park Diamond Flip Fold.4

You can see in each of the photos I have used Balmy Blue as a base layer over the Night Of Navy, then either the Basic White or the Regency Park 6×6 DSP. These papers are just so pretty they need showing off! The front Basic White panel is stamps from the Petal Park stamp set. The leaves were done in Shaded Spruce stamped off once – after stamping the outline in Memento ink. The flowers were stamped on a separate panel in Memento ink, then I used the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends to color the petals + the Color Lifter to ‘move’ the Balmy Blue colors. I found it better to use the Color Lifter to do that than the Blender Pen as that pen tends to ‘poill’ the paper. The floral centers are colored in Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. At this point the flowers were punched and added to the square (diamond) panel with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Petal Park Diamond Flip Fold.5

You can see in this photo above that I stamped the flowers in Balmy Blue (stamped off) to help me with placement for the punched flowers. :O)

Stampin' Up! Petal Park Diamond Flip Fold.6

In this photo above, I’m getting ready to adhere the square or diamond panel to the ‘flip’ front. Card cuts are listed at the bottom of this post. Full & complete directions may be found on a previous post… You can see the other Diamond Flip Card here.

And one more photo… this one shows the front again, with the diamond fold to the inside. This way you clearly see how it’s all put together.

Stampin' Up! Diamond Flip Fold.4

Directions:

  • Cut card base (here I used Granny Apple Green) 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 2 1/8 & 5 1/2
  • On the 2 1/8 end, mark the center point, on the short side which happens to be 2 1/8.
  • Fold card in half – on the 5 1/2 score line
  • Cut from the 2 1/8 score line to the point mark on a diagonal, going through both layers.
  • Now do the other cut from 2 1/8 score line to point. By cutting both ends at the same time, this makes the ends exactly the same!
  • Cut a 3″ square, also from Granny Apple Green, and adhere to the 2 1/8 end, adhering just to score line. This allows that end to be flexible. And this is the end to be decorated.
    • Add a 2 7/8″ square, this time in a coordinating color or Basic White. I chose Textured Shimmer Paper in Balmy Blue
    • Stamp the floral image from True Beauty stamp set in Blushing Bride ink, then die cut with coordinating die from Organic Beauty Dies.
    • Stamp the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink using True Beauty stamp set. Die cut with coordinating die using Organic Beauty Dies
    • Adhere the floral image with dimensionals to the now diamond. Slip the leaves under this a bit and adhere with liquid glue.
    • Cut a banner 1/2 x 3 1/4 and stamp with sentiment from Sentimental Park stamp set, in Merry Merlot ink. Slip banner just under flower and adhere with liquid glue.
    • Add bow ribbon with glue dot: Twill Ribbon Combo Pack in Old Olive
    • Add Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink (Jan-Apr Mini Catalog)
    • Cover floral image with Wink of Stella
  • Add Balmy Blue panel 3 1/4 x 4 1/8 to card front
  • Add Awash In Beauty DSP over Balmy Blue, 3 1/8 x 4 1/8

For the inside

  • Add a 3 1/8 x 4 panel of the Awash in Beauty DSP to the panel on left
  • Stamp the sentiment using Sentimental Park stamp set and Merry Merlot ink on the Basic White panel (3 1/8 x 4)
  • Stamp the flower in Blushing Bride ink using the True Beauty stamp set, cover in Wink of Stella then add more Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink
  • Cut a 2 7/8 square from Awash in Beauty DSP, cut in half creating two triangles. Adhere to each inside end

This card fits perfectly in a regular size envelope and I forgot to take a photo! However… here’s what I did… Cut another piece of Awash in Beauty DSP 2 1/4 x 6, add to envelope flap & trim to fit. Stamp a floral image from True Beauty stamp set in Blushing Bride, adding a bit of Merry Merlot to the center with your finger or a sponge dauber, then stamp on front of envelope. Cover with Wink of Stella.

Stampin’ Up! Flap Front Fun Fold Birthday

I am smitten with the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper and have made a fun birthday card with it. This is so super easy you will want to make one too.

Flap Front Fun Fold

This little fox is just so stinkin’ C-U-T-E! Look at that grin & that sassy walk. That little guy is die cut straight from the Rain or Shine DSP and die with the Layering Circles Dies. It’s back layer is Mango Melody die cut with the Layering Circles Dies, scallop. Ok, directions.

  • Card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 scored at 4 1/4 and I used Balmy Blue
    • Remove 1″ from card base front & trim that strip to 3 1/2″, then score one end at 1″
    • Attach the short end of this strip to the card back with the score line at the edge – long end to the right
  • Add a 1 1/4 x 5 3/8 strip of DSP over top of strip – see the raindrop strip in photo, that’s it.
Stampin' Up! Flip Front Fun Fold.2
  • Attach the circle die cut to the long end of the strip. I wanted a nice ‘finish’ to the back side so die cut another circle with the Layering Circles Dies from Brights 6×6 DSP in Mango Melody & adhered it to the back side.
  • A panel of Basic White 2 3/4 x 5 3/8 is stamped with the birthday sentiment from Something Fancy stamp set in Memento ink. Adhere to inside of card.
  • Back to card front… Add a panel of Rain or Shine DSP to the card front – 3 1/8 x 5 3/8
  • Stamp a sentiment in Memento ink on a Basic White Scrap & die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
  • Add a Mango Melody strip behind it 5/8 x 2 1/4. This could be a length of ribbon instead, or a pice cut slightly larger than the sentiment panel. Add with dimensionals to the card front
  • I added three Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots in Mango Melody for a bit of bling.

Super easy card – and you could easily change it up… front flap embellished could be a square, a rectangle, a heart. All kinds of possibilities!

Stampin' Up! Flap Front Fun Fold.3

For the envelope… more of the Brights 6×6 DSP for the flap, trimmed to fit and another die cut from the Rain or Shine DSP, this time die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. A super fun card to send & receive!

Stampin’ UP! Best Day Book Fold

Good Monday morning! It is Martin Luther King day. Are you working today, or is your place closed? Schools are closed here, but I do know teachers in some private schools are open. At any rate, whatever you do, may you make it a good day. My card today is made with a new stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog – called Best Day. It is so cute and I had a really playful time with color.

Stampin' Up! Best Day book fold

I focused on using several shades of blue and am really happy with the results. And the Granny Apple Green really makes everything pop. I started by stamping the image on a Basic White piece with Memento ink then got busy coloring with Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide and Pale Papaya. I even stamped the little whirlies in three of those colors. I die cut this with the largest square of the Stylish Shapes Dies. I wanted this piece on dimensionals so did that. Then came the playful layers: Textured Shimmer Paper in Balmy Blue (this is a new paper and it’s wonderful!) layered to Pacific Point. Then I pulled out the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP in Tahitian Tide and layered that on another panel of Pacific Point. My card base is Granny Apple Green and is made into a book fold: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 and again @ 4 1/2. Fold the card in half then adhere the section together between the 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 score lines ~ and the book fold is created. Now decorate by putting the layers together. What’s on dimensionals… the kitty cat of course, then also the Textured Shimmer Paper layered on the Pacific Point, that’s also on dimensionals. The final touch was Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Stampin' Up! Best Day book fold.2

For the inside, again I kept that playful, colorful theme going. I stamped the image from Best Day stamp set in Memento ink then colored with Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide and Pale Papaya. And while you can’t really tell in the photo, the cake is covered in Wink of Stella.

Stampin' Up! Best Day.3

For the envelope… more of the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP in Tahitian Tide on the flap then I stamped the sparkles from Best Day stamp set in Tahitian Tide ink, Pale Papaya ink and Granny Apple Green ink. This card can so easily be for a child or a playful adult ~ I love it!

Want to be able to create this… order from my online store (Click here to go my store) or JOIN MY TEAM with the awesome promotion by Stampin’ Up! Keep reading for more info. Card cuts are listed at the bottom of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Fun, Fun Fold with Desert Details and Favored Flowers DSP

Good Friday morning! While I wait for more wonderful Stampin’ Up! products from the new January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, I’m sharing some fabulous Designer Series Papers FREE with a $50 order – Sale-a-bration products. And yep – order any Stampin’ Up! products January-February to receive these items. Today’s card is a fun fold – not sure if it really has a name or title. If it does, please let me know.

Stampin' Up! Desert Detail Fun Fold

This particular DSP coordinates pretty well with a stamp set that’s still on it’s way to me. So I looked at other new products I had on hand and decided to use Desert Details as a substitute – I think it works, and I really like the fun, light sentiments – all of which come from Desert Details Bundle.

Stampin' Up! Desert Detail Fun Fold.2
Stampin' Up! Desert Detail Fun Fold.3

  • Cut the card base in Petal Pink: add the Favored Flowers Designer Series Papers to the inside back and the front flap.
  • Cut the inside card panel and adhere to the card base, centering. I used Basic Black for card stock.
    • Decorate the front of this panel with another piece of the Favored Flowers DSP
    • Stamp the large flower from Desert Details stamp set in Petal Pink and die cut with Desert Details Dies.
    • Cut a Basic Black circle with the Layering Circle Dies. Add the die cut flower with liquid glue. Add circle to the panel front.
    • Stamp the sentiment banner in Memento Black ink using a sentiment from Desert Details stamp set. The strip is Basic White. Add over the flower with dimensionals.
    • Add Wink of Stella to this flower to give the sparkle – just in the shaded areas.
  • For this inside panel: Basic White stamped with the sentiment in Petal Pink ink then stamp the smaller flower also in Petal Pink ink. Add this panel to the inside of the card – and done!
Stampin' Up! Desert Detail Fun Fold.4

For the envelope, more of the Favored Flowers DSP for the flap and the same smaller flower from Desert Details stamp set in Petal Pink for the front. Wasn’t that easy & fun? A fun, Fun Fold! Dimensions to make this card are at the bottoms of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Sneaky Peek At The Pond Hinge Fun Fold

Happy Happy 2023!I’ve been a bit out of the loop for a bit – hubby had surgery & my attention was all about that, then Christmas & family – and now, here we are. I hope you had a really good holiday, however you celebrate things. Ours was quieter, of course, but still wonderful. We are so blessed with wonderful family. – and hubby is improving every day. 👍🙏

My card today is a sneaky peek at one of the HOST stamp options for the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog, which will be available come Jan 5. And that’s just really soon! I’ve also used some DSP that is free with a qualifying order during the Jan-Feb Sale-a-bration period – Dainty Flowers DSP.

Stampin' Up! At The Pond Hinge Fun Fold

Isn’t this a cute, sassy frog? I’m going to name him Alfred – and no, I have no idea where that came from. 😀 You can see there are no flowers on this side of the Dainty Flowers DSP – it looks similar to watercolors – love, love. And the hinge flap has a sentiment from another new stamp set called Sending Support – also FREE with a qualifying order during Jan-Feb Sale-a-bration. I’ve die cut the sentiment with Stylish Shapes Dies. I extended the length of the die cut a bit to make the sentiment fit. But I’ll explain that.

Hinge Flap Fun Fold:

  • Cut card base 81/2 x 5 1/2 and score at 4 1/4 on the long side.
  • Trim off 1 1/2 from the long side; score this at 4 1/4
  • Adhere this strip to the card base about 3/4″ from bottom with the fold on the edge (I adhered it lower and don’t like where it is!) This is now your hinge flap!

Decorate:

  • Cut panels of DSP: front – 1 3/4 x 2 1/2; hinge flap – 1 1/4 x 4; inside – 1 3/4 x 4; envelope flap – 2 1/4 x 6
  • Cut Basic White panels: front – 2 1/2 x 4; inside 4 x 5 1/4; sentiment banner for hinge flap 1 1/4 x 3
  • On the front panel:
    • Stamp the frog in Old Olive – this is a two-step stamp, so stamp the inner then the outline
    • Stamp the log in Soft Suede – again aa two-step stamp, stamp the inner then then outline stamp
    • Stamp the bee in Crushed Curry & Memento inks – CC for the wings, then the body in Memento
    • Add this panel to the card front
  • On the inside panel:
    • Add the 1 3/4 x 4 DSP to the far right edge
    • Stamp the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink using the Sending Support stamp set
    • Adhere this to the inside of the card, covering where the hinge flap is attached
  • On the hinge flap:
    • Add DSP to the flap (1 1/4 x 4)
    • Stamp the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink from Sending Support stamp set on the remaining Basic White strip
    • Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies: Die cut about 2/3 of length by placing the top cutting plate so it covers just 2/3 of die; run it through the die cutting machine; replace die to cover other end of stamped sentiment, matching or lining up die, then placing top cutting plate just over that area to be die cut, run it through the die cutting machine – and done!
    • Attache die cut sentiment to hinge flap with dimensionals
  • Add Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to both hinge flap and card front

All that’s left to do now is the envelope & it is so easy…

  • Add 2 1/4 x 6 piece of Dainty Flowers DSP to the envelope flap & trim to fit
  • Stamp the small bees 3 times on envelope front in Crushed Curry ink using the At The Pond stamp set
