SU! So Much Happy

Hello Everyone! Today’s card is made with the brand new So Much Happy Stamp Set and matching dies… Happy Dies. You are going to love this set… it has so much to offer and I had the best time making today’s card.

And thank you for stopping by… Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop is full of fabulous cards and inspiration. Here’s mine…

So Much Happy stamp set
Happy Dies
Playing with Patterns DSP
#1

Oh so much to share about this card… first of all, masculine or feminine, child or adult – it fits!  Next – the dies (Happy Dies) and paper (Playing With Patterns 6×6 DSP) make this card so easy. And the stamp set ( So Much Happy) allows you to make this not just a birthday card but also a graduation or a celebration of a wonderful person.

Here’s a list of supplies…

  • So Much Happy stamp set (card front and envelope front)
  • Happy Dies (card front)
  • Playing with Patterns 6×6 DSP (card front)
  • Whisper White cs (background for card front and inside panel)
  • 2020-2022 In Color 6×6 ( banner on card front and envelope flap)
  • Best Year stamp set (for the inside sentiment)
  • Bumblebee cs and ink (card base and balloons on envelope)
  • Calypso Coral cs (balloon tail and inside panel)
  • Stazon black ink (sentiments)
  • Journaling pen (balloon tails on envelope)

And here’s the how to…

I started by choosing to play with the Playing With Patterns 6×6 DSP – so many fun papers in this stack! Because it already had this wonderful angle design, I followed that angle and used the die cut from the Happy Dies.  OK, what else? I played around with some other options for the balloon and star but returned to the scraps of the Playing With Patterns 6×6 DSP and came up with a match for the balloon tail as well (Calypso Coral) die cut both the balloon and star  and the tail at the same time. :o) Next I stamped the birthday sentiment. Then I wanted just one more accent… the Happy Dies have two dies that do not cut but EMBOSS your paper with a design. I used the one that looks like a broken underscore line and embossed it between the HAPPY and the birthday. Can you see it in the photo? If you put your curser on the photo and enlarge it, it’s visible and really adds a fun touch to the card. I adhered the balloon tail where I wanted it then adhered this DSP panel to Whisper White, put dimensionals on the balloon and star and attached. I wasn’t quite ready to stop – – I die cut the banner twice using the Happy Dies and the 2020-2022 In Color 6×6 DSP (Bumblebee). I die cut it twice to add dimension to the banner. This was adhered with small dots of liquid glue. This completed panel was adhered to the Bumblebee cs with dimesnionals. Card front complete!

The inside…

Best Year stamp set
#2

Don’t you love the different fonts in this sentiment?  And the sentiment is pretty darn neat too :o) This was stamped in Stazon black ink onto a Whisper White panel for a very crisp look – using the Best Year stamp set. This in turn, was adhered to Calypso Coral with liquid glue then attached to the card inside, again with liquid glue. Your card is done!

Now for the envelope… let’s take a peek at that envelope again…

So Much Happy stamp set
2020-2022 In Color 6×6 DSP
#3

I stamped the balloons with Bumblebee ink (new In Color!) and added the tails with my black Journaling pen. The envelope flap got covered with the 2020-2022 In Color 6×6 Bumblebee paper and the card set was done!

Now let me show you one of the other dies in this Happy Dies package that allows you to emboss a pattern on the card. You may need to enlarge the photon to see it though. I stamped the sentiment, added the embossing to the left and at near the bottom of the panel and adhered it to a Calypso Coral panel before realizing it was going in the wrong direction for my card! It’s been saved, have no worries there, but look for the embossing in the photo below.

SU!Thank You with DSP Focus

Hi Everyone! Today’s card was created for our neighbor who so generously gave us unused mulch… of course, I had to cart it uphill to our yard, but hey, it was free…  useful… and needed. So there you have it.😉 We have great neighbors! And I totally cased this card from Amy Koenders!

Here’s the card…

Ornate Thanks stamp set
Ornate Layers Dies
#1

And here’s a list of supplies…

  • Ornate Thanks stamp set
  • Ornate Layers Dies
  • Stitched Rectangles Dies
  • Misty Moonlight 2020-2022 In Color ribbon
  • In Good Taste DSP
  • Neutral 6×6 DSP – Night of Navy
  • Night of Navy ink & cs
  • Whisper White cs
  • Smokey Slate cs
  • Versamark
  • White embossing powder

And here’s how I did it…

I started by die cutting the two rectangles for the front using the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I adhered these two together with the new Stampin Seal (it works great… has an end cap so it doesn’t stick to anything else when you put it away. I’m happy with it.) I then adhered them to the card front (Smokey Slate) with the same Stampin Seal. With Night of Navy cs I stamped the card front sentiment with Versamark ink using the Ornate Thanks stamp set, sprinkled it with White Embossing powder and heat set it. TIP… this needs to cool a bit before handling as it’s kinda sticky while still warm. I then die cut it using the Ornate Layers Dies. This was put on dimensionals and set aside. I cut a length of ribbon from the Misty Moonlight 2020-2022 In Color spool and adhered it with the Stampin Seal. The sentiment on dimesnionals was placed over the top and centered on the card.

For the inside…

Ornate Thanks stamp set
#2

With a panel of Whisper White cs, I stamped the sentiment from Ornate Thanks stamp set in Night of Navy. I adhered a strip of the Neutral 6×6 DSP in Night of Navy 1/4″ from the bottom and added another strip of the In Good Taste DSP over the top. This was adhered to the Smokey Slate card base and the card was complete!

The envelope…

Ornate Thanks stamp set #3

Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy from the Ornate Thanks stamp set. Adhere the Neutrals 6×6 Night of Navy to the envelope flap and the envelope is complete. Wheee. Easy peasy and so perfect for our neighbors.

All of these products may be found in the new 2020-2021 SU! catalog. If you do not have a demonstrator and wish to have a catalog, contact me. Either way, here’s a PDF copy for you to browse at your leisure.

SU! Prized Peony

Hello! Using several new products today ~ it was hard to decide exactly what items to use as there are so many fun new stamp sets/ dies, Designer Papers… I finally settled on the Prized Peony stamp set and it is a gorgeous set complete with matching dies. Let’s take a look…

Prized Peony
Peony Dies
#1

What new items do you see? Well, the stamp set for sure (Prized Peony); it’s the focal point, and the Peony Dies. And notice the entire floral piece is raised… bingo! foam adhesive SHEETS!  I can see myself using these a LOT! It’s sticky on both sides (similar to dimensionals, but about a 4 1/2″ square sheet) and so easy to use. You can find these on pg 162 in the new catalogue and listed as #12. OK, what else is new on this card? Yep ~ the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper AND the wonderful Elegant Faceted Dots. What’s so cool about these is they come in a pack of clear, Petal Pink and pearlized. I used the clear from this set.

I also used Whisper White cs to stamp the focal peony and as an inside panel, Basic Gray for the card base, Petal Pink to back the DSP AND the Whisper White inside panel, Petal Pink inks to stamp the peony, Smokey Slate ink for the additional peonies as well as the sentiment, and finally the Organdy Striped 5/8″ ribbon. I think that’s it.

Let’s get busy and make this card…

  • Stamp the large peony from the Prized Peony stamp set on Whisper White. Cut it out using the matching die from the Peony Dies. Use that same die and cut a peony from the Foam Adhesive Sheet. Adhere the peony to the Adhesive sheet and set aside.
  • Cut a strip of Petal Pink cs 2 1/8 x 5 3/8.
  • Cut a panel of Peony Garden DSP 2 x 5 1/4. Adhere this to the Petal Pink panel.
  • Wrap a piece of the Organdy Striped 5/8″ Ribbon around these two panels then adhere to the left of the card front.
  • I laid but did not adhere the peony where I wanted it, then stamped the sentiment in Smokey Slate stamping off once. Now adhere the peony by simply removing the sticky from the foam adhesive and adhere to the card front. “Color” the peony and bud with Wink of Stella.
  • Add five of these very sweet Elegant Faceted Gems and your card front is done!

The inside and envelope…

  • Stamp the sentiment in the upper left corner in Smokey Slate onto a Whisper White panel 5 x 5 1/4. In the lower right corner, stamp the smallest peony in Smokey Slate stamping off TWICE.
  • While you have this sweet flower handy, stamp your envelope: once on the front and once on the flap. Adhere a strip of Petal Pink next to the flap fold with liquid glue – trim excess.
  • Adhere the Whisper White stamped piece to Petal Pink 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and adhere this to the inside of your card. Card is complete – easy peasy!

So what do you think? Elegant, easy, stunning peony ~ a very special card of sympathy. The Peony Garden Suite is shown on pages 82-84 in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. • Adhere with liquid glue to a card from the World of Good Memories and More Card Pack

  • Adhere the Vary Vanilla panel to a piece of Misty Moonlight with liquid glue and attach to the card inside.
  • The envelope got this cuter little inkwell with Basic Gray ink and the feather in Misty Moonlight  – looks like an old world pen & ink!

Stampin’ Up! Using Retiring Paper

Hi Everyone! I hope you are doing well. It’s beautiful today on the East coast and cries out to be enjoyed and appreciated. One of the things I did this past week was open our backyard to a specific group of folks for meditation and social distancing. They were thrilled at the opportunity to get out! Our backyard provides a peaceful setting and is full of birds so it’s perfect for this. Today may be the time to do that again…

To today’s card(s)… Peaceful Poppies DSP and Lovely Lipstick are not a perfect match, but my challenge to use retiring papers moved me in this direction, and I don’t think it’s too bad. My other challenge was to create something simple, few embellishments (no extra postage!) and be cheerful. I also needed a lot of them. Let’s take a peek:

Peaceful Poppies DSP
Fun Folds
#1

Each card was either a Gatefold or a Z fold to create a bit of fun. And here are the details…

Z Fold Card…

  • Z fold cards are all cut 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. I used Lovely Lipstick.
  • DSP is 3 x 4 and i used the retiring Peaceful Poppies.
  • The DSP was adhered to basic Black 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 with liquid glue. This was adhered just to the left portion of the Z fold – again with liquid glue.
  • Whisper White cs for the sentiment panel – die cut with the Layering Circles Dies. The sentiment comes from Under My Umbrella – NOT RETIRING!
  • The inside panel, 3 x 4 in Whisper White, was stamped in Black Memento ink using the Peaceful Poppies stamp set. Adhere this so it does not show when the card is closed!

Gatefold Card… I created eight total but used two different dimensions

  • 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 2 3/4 from each end. The Whisper White inside panel is 5 1/4 x 4
  • 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 2 1/8 from each end. The Whisper White inside panel is 4 x 5 1/2
  • The DSP is 3 x 4, adhered to Basic Black 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. Adhere to the left front ‘gate’
  • The inside panel was stamped using the Peaceful Poppies stamp set  – NOT RETIRING!

Peaceful Poppies DSP
Gatefold
#2

The envelopes…

  • All were stamped in the lower left corner with the beautiful poppy from Peaceful Poppies stamp set
  • DSP was adhered to the envelope flap with liquid glue and trimmed to fit. I ran out of this particular DSP so on one envelope I stamped the flap with the same poppy stamp. You can see that in each of the photos.

Peaceful Poppies

All in all I was able to create 11 cards in such a short time. I’m generally not one to make multiples of the same card, but cutting everything and laying it out made it so easy peasy. I hope you enjoyed this little exercise and make use of some of your retiring papers.

Stampin’Up! More of Celebrate Sunflowers

Woohoo – it’s Saturday! How are you doing during this time of isolation? I’m praying you and your family are well and safe. It’s a scary time for sure and awkward to not be able to hug one another, console one another in the way we used to. In the meantime…. I couldn’t resist making another card using the Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflower and Sunflower Dies – just too beautiful and fun! Take a look at today’s card…

Celebrate Sunflowers
Sunflowers Dies
#1

Items I used for this card:

  • Mango Melody Blends and marker
  • Bronze Blends
  • Light and Dark Soft Suede Blends
  • Gilded Gems
  • Antiqued Corners and Slides Elements
  • Wink of Stella
  • Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon
  • Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder
  • So Saffron cs
  • Seaside
  • Spray cs
  • Misty Moonlight cs
  • Shimmer paper or Thick Whisper White cs
  • Sissix adhesive sheets

How to:

  • Adhere the Sissix adhesive sheet to the back of the Shimmer or Thick Whisper White cs
  • Die cut the sunflower from Shimmer paper or Whisper White. Here’s why I say OR… Originally I wanted the sunflower to be all white with just the center colored, but I didn’t like it once I die cut the sunflower. So, we adapt!!! But on with the directions … The sunflower is die cut, still on the cutting plate, now what… Remove the top cutting plate keeping all the die cut pieces in place. Put a layer of Press n Seal over the sunflower and press firmly so all pieces stick to it.. This will help keep everything right where it needs to be. Here’s the point – you want to raise the die cut pieces of the sunflower by putting dimensionals on as many of those little sunflower petals as possible, and not lose the petals from their designated place. Pull on the Press n Seal lifting all the die cut pieces off the cutting platform. Pretty cool, right? You are now ready to put dimensionals on those petals. Add mini dimensionals to as many of the flower petals as you so desire, cutting some dimensionals to fit the petal. Some are soooo tiny. And I did not put dimensionals on all of the petals  – as you see empty spaces in the photo – as though some of the petals have fallen off the sunflower. :o) Carefully remove the backing on the dimensionals.
  • Place a 3 1/8 square of Seaside Spray over the sunflower so the sunflower petals adhere to it. What should still be on your Press n Seal is the outline die cut of the sunflower. Isn’t it gorgeous?
  • Now is when I colored the petals with Dark and Light Mango Melody Blends
  • Remove the outline die cut from the Press n Seal and color the center: Bronze for the very center, then Light and Dark Soft Suede Blends. Put a dimensional on the small center piece and set aside.
  • Remove the Sissix adhesive backing from the remaining outline die cut Place it onto the Seaside Spray, lining it up over the appropriate petals. Press it down so it adheres to the Seaside Spray. Gorgeous and stunning! You have done the hard part – whew…
  • Adhere the Seaside Spray to Misty Moonlight 3 3/8 square with liquid glue. Add these fun Antiqued Corners with glue dots, Put dimensionals on the back and set aside.
  • Run a  4 1/8 x 5 3/8 panel of So Saffron through the Tasteful Textured 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Adhere the Misty Moonlight decorated panel to the embossed So Saffron.
  • Stamp your sentiment with Misty Moonlight ink spot (that’s all we have right now until we can order the ink pad on June 3! It came from the May PP) The sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.
  • Wrap a length of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon around, adhering with a glue dot , then attach the buckle and adhere that in place with a glue dot as well.
  • Add three Gilded Gems around the sunflower and the card front is done!

The inside and envelope is easy peasy:

Celebrate Sunflowers
#2

  • Stamp the sentiment with the ink spot Misty Moonlight, then stamp the sunflowers in Mango Melody. I took the Light Mango melody Blends and created an abbreviated outline, just cuz. It makes it look similar to the sunflower on the front.
  • Adhere this panel to the inside of your card with liquid glue. Card is complete!!!
  • Stamp the envelope flap and front with the same sunflower and mango Melody. Done, done done.

Don’t you love this? Here’s another picture.

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers

Hi Everyone.. EEK – SO EXCITED!! I had placed a rather large order a bit ago and it took longer than usual to get here (I didn’t expedite – grrr). Anyway – it arrived yesterday and I’m thrilled – got some really fun items to play with 😁 and the first one I chose is… Celebrate Sunflowers. So, so pretty. Here ’tis…

Celebrate Sunflowers
Sunflowers Dies
Flowers for Every Season DSP
#1

I fell in love with this sunflower… and also the Flowers For Every Season DSP. The dies are … to die for!  :o) And no, I didn’t use them all – next card maybe…

Items used for this card…

  • Flowers For Every Season DSP
  • Celebrate Sunflowers
  • Sunflowers Dies
  • Ivory and Bronze Blends
  • Just Jade cs
  • Whisper White cs
  • Misty Moonlight cs for the card base
  • Shaded Spruce ink and sponge dauber
  • White embossing powder

And here’s the deets…

  • Misty Moonlight cs 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • Flowers For Every Season DSP 1 1/2 x 5 1/2, adhered to Whisper White cs 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 with liquid glue. Adhere to card center with liquid glue – about 1 1/4 from top and bottom.
  • Stamp sunflower in Versamark  ink on Whisper White scrap. Emboss with White Embossing powder.
  • Because of the flower on the DSP, I wanted to match it so pulled out several blends colors, played a bit and settled on… ta da – the Ivory and Bronze Blends! Quite frankly, I had never used them like this and they match! Of course the Bronze Blend is the darker and I would do little bits of a sunflower petal with that and then use the Ivory Blends to blend it. After doing all the outer petals, I applied the Bronze Blend to the outer ring, then the Ivory Blend next and the Bronze Blend again for the center. I covered all that with Wink of Stella. It doesn’t show in the picture well, but it is stunning!
  • There are two leaf dies in the Sunflower Dies set, one with the outline and the other more intricate that shows every vein – eek gorgeous! I cut two of the intricate large leaf dies out of Just Jade cs and colored with Wink of Stella.
  • I stamped the leaf stamp with Shaded Spruce – goes well, doesn’t it? Then cut it out with the outline leaf die – and yep! covered it in Wink 0f Stella :o)
  • I cut two more sprays out of the Just Jade cs, sponge daubered a bit with Shaded Spruce to darken in places and then yep – colored with Wink of Stella!
  • I laid all the pieces on to determine placement for the sentiment – that’s from the wonderful Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. It was stamped in Versamark then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
  • Place dimensionals on your sunflower and adhere to your card front. The rest of the die cuts were adhered with liquid glue.
  • I curled the leaves and curled the sunflower a bit as well but I had put my dimensionals out too far on the sunflower, which made them not curl as much as I wanted. Learning curve! Card front is done…

On the inside…

Celebrate Sunflowers
Sunflowers Dies
#2

  • In the stamp set is this adorable smaller sunflower with leaves. It was stamped in Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder and colored just as the large sunflower – with Ivory and Bronze Blends.
  • The leaves were colored with both dark and light Shaded Spruce Blends and everything covered with Wink of Stella.
  • This was die cut with the Sunflower Dies and adhered to a Whisper White panel 4 x 5 1/4, then adhered to the inside – all using liquid glue.

The envelope..

  • I covered the flap with the Flowers For Every Season DSP using liquid glue, and trimmed to fit.
  • The envelope front got leaves stamped all over with Shaded Spruce from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! In Good Taste, Mix and Match

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend… it was cloudy and overcast, perfect for yard work, not so much for partying… and with the pandemic, not really possible anyway.Still, so thankful and appreciative to those who served our country, sometimes losing their lives, and those who still serve… Grateful, thankful, appreciative…

Today’s card is masculine! I know, a bit unusual for me. I like the simplicity of this card, yet it still has several elements and dimension. This could so easily be a Father’s Day card or birthday card, or a card of thanks and appreciation. Let’s take a look…

In Good Taste DSP Well Said stamp set #1

And here’s what you need to make this card…

  • In Good Taste DSP
  • 2020-2022 In Color 6 x 6 DSP
  • 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots
  • Misty Moonlight cs and ink
  • Whisper White cs
  • Braided Linen Trim
  • Lovely Labels Pick a Punch
  • Well Said stamp set
  • Ornate Style stamp set

And here’s how to do it…

  • Cut a piece of Misty Moonlight for your card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. Set aside
  • Cut a piece of 2020-2022 In Color 6 x 6 using the Misty Moonlight color, 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to Whisper White cs 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.
  • Fussy cut a panel of the In Good Taste DSP and adhere to a panel of Whisper White about 1 1/2 width for stability. I like this blue/ white piece as it reminds me of Delft and Bing and Grondahl plates. Does it for you? I put this panel on dimensions and set it aside for now.
  • Next I cut a 1/2 strip of Misty Moonlight for a background for my sentiment. I punched the one end using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
  • Stamp your sentiment using the Misty Moonlight ink spot provided in the May PP. (I used the Well Said stamp set and taped off the IS YOU. to use for the inside) on a Whisper White scrap, punch the end with the same Lovely You Pick a Punch and adhered to the Misty Moonlight piece.
  • I laid this on the card front and decided something was missing – so the Braided Linen Thread to the rescue! This is a nice masculine type trim and I like the neutral and how it seemed to tie everything together (PUN :)) Add snail to the back of the 2020-2022 In Color DSP and Whisper White panel, placing the trim 3/4 from the bottom of your panel.
  • Since the sentiment is going over the braided trim, cut your dimensionals in half and place on opposite sides so the sentiment panel doesn’t wobble (ask me how I know that!). Once you have your sentiment strip where you want it, adhere over the trim and cut off the extended end.
  • I added three 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to the sentiment panel and felt something was still missing. Braided Linen trim to the rescue again! I cut a length and tied a half knot just beyond the sentiment panel and adhered it with a glue dot. Then I frayed the ends of the braided trim cuz I like the look 🙂
  • Let’s see, did we do everything?   Yikes – remember the In Good Taste panel – it has dimensionals on it ready to be adhered – do that and your card front is nearly complete.
  • Put this entire panel on the Misty Moonlight card base in the very first step and your card front is done… yay.

For the inside…

Well Said stamp set
Misty Moonlight
#2

  • Cut a panel of Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4,.
  • Adhere a 1/2 strip of the 2020-2022 In Color DSP to the right  about 1/4 from the edge.
  • Stamp the rest of the sent (is you.) with the Misty Moonlight ink spot
  • Adhere to the inside of your card with liquid glue

Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Touches, Forever Fern and Forever Flourishing Dies

Hi Folks! Gosh, yesterday it was 74 and rainy, today is 58 and a bit cloudy but sun should come through. Quite a disparity still in weather temps. I’ll be working out in the front later this morning as we had to remove a tree a couple of years ago and the pachysandra got fried last year in the summer sun. Removing pachysandra is a job and a half! Plus the soil needs amending a bit as it’s very sandy and new plants are going in. I just may be out there a while…

So here’s today’s card… I love the soft colors used here and the fonts in the Forever Fern stamp set are just lovely

Here are all the goodies I used to make this beautiful card…

  • Petal Pink cs
  • Crumb Cake cs
  • Soft Sea Foam cs and ink
  • Whisper White cs
  • Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon 5/8″ white
  • Braided Linen Trim 3/16″
  • In Good Taste DSP
  • Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder
  • Forever Fern stamp set
  • Forever Flourishing Dies:
  • For the flower… Tasteful Touches stamp set; Soft Suede ink, Wink of Stella and Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blends

Here’s a photo of the flower created a few days ago and sitting on my desk just waiting 😏 Remember I used the flower on the right in yesterday’s post.

Here are the details for making this card…

  • Using the Forever Flourishing Dies, die cut sprig and spray in Soft Sea Foam cs and sponge dauber the edges to give them more dimension
  • Again using the Forever Flourishing Dies, cut the berry spray in Crumb Cake and “color” with Wink of Stella. This helps tie in the flower that is covered in Wink of Stella and gives it glimmer, sparkle and glam!
  • Cut a 1/2  x 4 strip of the In Good Taste DSP. Gosh there are some gorgeous patterns in this pack!
  • Petal Pink is cut 4 x 5 1/4 and is embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder. Spritz lightly with water prior to sending it through your embossing machine. This allows the paper to have a bit more ‘give and flexibility’ to take on the design of the folder. This is a must have folks – just sayin…

Putting it all together…

  • Adhere the DSP about 1 1/4″ from the bottom using liquid glue.
  • Cover this with a strip of the Polka Dot Tulle 5/8″ ribbon. Adhere in back with snail.
  • Wrap a piece of the Braided Linen Trim over this, centering, and adhere in back with tape.
  • Slip the larger foliage die cut between ribbon and DSP and adhere with liquid glue., leaving many of the leaves loose to curl for texture and dimension.
  • Adhere the Crumb Cake berries with a glue dot, then add the leaf swag over this adhering with a glue dot
  • Add the prepped flower with dimensionals.
  • Finally add the linen and Polka Dot Tulle bow with a glue dot.
  • Adhere this embossed panel to Petal Pink cs cut to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2. Your card front is complete! Easy peasy…

For the inside…

#2

  • Stamp the leaf and berry stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set with Soft Sea Foam. While it’s readily available, go ahead and stamp your envelope flap and front as well
  • Stamp the sentiment from the same set using Soft Suede.
  • Adhere to the inside of your card and voila – all done! Even your envelope is ready 😉

This would make a fabulous wedding or anniversary card! So what do you think? This stamp set – Forever Fern with matching dies, Forever Flourishing Dies, are must haves for this next year. Matter of fact, I just might wear them out from use!!! And Tasteful Touches is another equally beautiful set, They coordinate so well together. I love how Stampin’ Up! does that.

And… Happy Memorial Day weekend. Special thanks to all those in the armed services who have served and continue to serve our country. You are amazing people!

Stampin’ Up Tasteful Touches and Forever Fern

Hi Everyone ~ it’s Sat and Memorial Day weekend. Do you have big plans? It’s raining here this weekend so outdoor activities are pretty much canceled – ugh… Mon. the actual day to memorialize those who have sacrificed their lives for all of us, may be a clear day. We’ll see. At any rate, the traditional picnic is called off due to the pandemic. I’m all for being safe and staying well, so I’m ok with that, but I do miss some of the tradition in which we have participated. Thank you to all those who have served our country, sacrificed time with family and sometimes lost their lives to protect our rights. Blessings on ever one… so grateful.

Today’s card began with the flower made a couple of days ago that I never used. Here it is…

Aren’t these gorgeous? I’m using the flower on the right today… and here’s the card…

Forever Fern Dies

I REALLY like how this card turned out. Here are the items used to make this card:

  • Thick Whisper White cs for the base
  • Soft Suede cs and ink
  • In Good Taste DSP
  • Forever Greenery DSP
  • Forever Flourishing Dies
  • Pear Pizzazz cs and ink
  • Tasteful Touches flower
  • Organdy Striped Ribbon 5/8″
  • Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack
  • Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • In Good Taste Wooden Elements

And here’s to pull it all together…

  • Stamp the flower from Tasteful Touches stamp set in Soft Suede; color with Petal Pink and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends and Fussy cut
  • Cut Soft Suede cs 2 1/8 x 5 3/8, trim diagonally so right side is 1 1/8″
  • Cut In Good Taste DSP 2 x 5 1/4, trim diagonally so right side is 1″. Adhere with liquid glue to the Soft Suede.
  • Adhere both of these to Thick Whisper White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • Stamp the tall thin fern from the Forever Fern stamp set onto Pear Pizzazz cs using Pear Pizzazz ink. Cut out with the Forever Flourishing Dies and your die cutting machine
  • Find the coordinating DSP in the Forever Greenery DSP that matches the leaf die used and cut out with your die cut machine
  • Pull out coordinating elements from the In Good Taste Wooden Elements.

Further directions

  • Begin by gluing the Pear Pizzazz fern in place with liquid glue
  • Adhere the fernie type wooden element with glue dots
  • Adhere the wooden leaf element similarly
  • Adhere the leaf die cut from the Forever Greenery DSP using dimensionals
  • Make a few loops (I did three) with the braided gold trim in the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and adhere with a glue dot or two
  • Add the flower with dimensionals
  • Add the bow made using the Organdy Striped Ribbon 5/8″ with glue dots
  • Stamp your sentiment in Soft Suede ink using the Forever Fern stamps
  • Embellish using the wonderful Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels. They tie the pink in the DSP, the Petal Pink in the flower and the Soft Suede together so wonderfully

Here’s the card again – what do you think?
