Stampin’ Up! Delicate Pines Bundle for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday – and welcome to our fun hop! We have a sketch challenge today that suggests lots of opportunities. I have chosen to use the Delicate Pines Bundle and Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP to create a pretty Christmas card.

I used Old Olive for my card base and added a layer of Secret Sea then Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP. I added a strip of Secret Sea to follow the sketch challenge. I then fussy cut this pretty snowflake from the designer series paper. I set this aside while die cutting several pine boughs from Cloud Cover card stock. I attached some to the back of the snowflake with Stampin’ Seal, punched a circle with the 2 3/8″ circle punch from Secret Sea card stock to add to the back for stability and to hold the fragile pine boughs in place. I added dimesnionals to this and attached it to the card front. I slipped in more pine boughs where I though the card needed them, attaching with dabs of liquid glue. As a final touch, I added a single red Faceted Snowflake to the center.

For the inside… on the Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment from the Delicate Pines bundle in Shaded Spruce ink then stamped the oh so beautiful pine branches in Old Olive ink that I added secret Sea ink with a sponge dauber. This was added to the Secret Sea card stock panel then to the inside of the card.

For the envelope… more Elegant Pines Snowflakes DSP was added to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front I used the same beautiful pine bough from Delicate Pines stamp set, inked it with Old Olive ink then used a sponge dauber to create depth & interest. Done!

To me, this is a very masculine card… and I like that! I find it rather difficult to create a masculine type card for most occasions. 🥴 Now… before you get on with the hop, card cuts are listed below as well as a way to purchase these products and other Stampin’ Up! products from me.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Journey Hello Card

Good morning – May 1, the start of the NEW 2024-2025 ANNUAL CATALOG. Yeeha – it goes live today! I have a couple of new team members I want to welcome so created a card with the Thoughtful Journey DSP. This is such pretty paper and I chose this pattern to showcase today.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Journey Hello Card

I cut the DSP 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 then on the short side cut it in half again, creating two strips. The strip on the left I cut 1 3/4 off the top. The remaining strip I cut 1 3/4 off the bottom. Laying them on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock 4 x 5 1/4 created this pretty scene. I adhered the pieces in place, keeping the spaces even all around then added that to a Thick Basic White card base. The stamped sentiment is done in Mossy Meadow ink using the Unbounded Love stamp set. I cut it with a banner die in the Unbounded Love dies. I took a length of Linen thread and wrapped it around a bit, then added it to the back of the sentiment die cut, adhering it in place first with Stampin’ Seal+, then added a couple of dimensionals. After attaching it to the card, I trimmed the one end. I added three Purple Shimmer Gems as a final touch

For the inside, I pulled out Thoughtful wishes stamp set and with Markers, inked the stamp: Blackberry Bliss for the flower part and Mossy Meadow for the stem/ leaves. I gave it a good haw with my breath to add a bit of moisture and stamped it on a piece of Basic White. I die cut it with the coordinating die in Thoughtful Wishes Dies and added it to a 3 3/4 x 5 Basic White and Mossy Meadow 4 x 5 1/4 for the inside of the card. Welcome, welcome!

For the envelope, I pulled another of the beautiful DSP from Thoughtful Journey pack and added it to the envelope flap and to the bottom of the envelope front. This paper looks like watercolor images and are just stunning.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Here For You card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Today is Thursday – which means, it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have a color challenge today and I really like these color combinations. Perennial Lavender 12 x 12 DSP fits the bill perfectly!

Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavender Here For you Card front

I started by determining the showy piece of Perennial Lavender DSP for the front of the card. I die cut the piece with a Deckled Rectangle Die. And yes, I could have used the Perennial Postage Dies instead – and you could easily make that change if you decided to CASE this card. I wanted a slightly less ‘edgy’ look and that’s why I used the Deckled Rectangle Dies. I backed the DSP with a Basic White panel. I used another piece of the Perennial Lavender DSP to die cut the floral image. I adhered it to the DSP panel with dimensionals that I trimmed down to size, then added a double Linen Thread bow and attached it with a glue dot. I wanted a sentiment and pulled out the Perennial Postage stamp set and stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink, cut it apart & fussy cut around the single word – setting the rest aside. I created a Gorgeous Grape card base and covered it with another Perennial Lavender DSP panel just slightly smaller in size. I attached the showy DSP panel to the card front with dimensionals, then added the sentiment with glue on the one end and a dimensional trimmed down to size on the overhanging end. I added three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems near the sentiment for a glitzy touch.

For the inside of the card, I used the other floral die cut and adhered it with liquid glue to the Basic White panel. I took the rest of the stamped sentiment from the card front & cut it apart, added it to a same pattern DSP as the large front panel, trimmed it to a unique shape and adhered it with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Suite

TODAY’S THE DAY… the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog AND the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog go LIVE. Whoopie! So here’s my card today, showcasing Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Postage AND the Perennial Lavender DSP– all are part of a suite of products found on pages 22-25.

I’ve used several of the suite products to make this card… Softly Sophisticated embossing folder is a FREE item in the Sale-a-Bration catalog with a qualifying purchase. It’s the background for this card and I love the delicate imprint. The next layer is a Crumb Cake piece die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. On that is Gorgeous Grape card stock, cut to fit inside the stitched lines of the die cut. Then of course is this stunning DSP – Perennial Lavender DSP, cut just a wee bit smaller. These three layers were adhered together and added to the Thick Basic White card base and embossing folder with dimensionals. I then die cut three ‘stems’: the largest from Lost Lagoon card stock, and the two smaller in Gorgeous Grape & Basic White. These dies come from Perennial Lavender Dies and were attached with liquid glue. I pulled out the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut another piece of Crumb Cake for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set & is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Before adhering the sentiment with dimensionals, I tied a large bow using the Woven Metallic Ribbon in Orchid Oasis and attached it with a glue dot and the sentiment panel goes right over it. I like the sparkle of the ribbon and how the shades of purple flow together and compliment one another. I think I’m going to have to add a few of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that are part of this suite!

For the inside… on a Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink slightly off-center (from Perennial Postage stamp set), then stamped the lovely floral bouquet (from Painted Lavender stamp set) in stamped off Highland Heather ink. This creates a wonderfully feminine effect that coordinates with the feminine front of the card.

For the envelope, I stamped the same floral bouquet from Painted Lavender stamp set in stamped off Highland Heather ink on the envelope front. Love, love – and hope you do as well.

The sentiments used for this card make it an all occasion card that can be used for thinking of you to birthday greeting to missing you. I really like this flexibility!

OK – how to get these…. the suite number is 162613 or items can be ordered separately. Unless there is something I really, realloy don’t want in a suite of prodcuts, I usually order the full suite – one number does it all. And just so you know, there is no advantage other than inputting one number as opposed to several numbers on the order form. The bottom price is the same.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP with Frame

It’s Christmas Eve morning and excitement is in the air! Before I get too far into my post and the card of the day, let me say thank you to those who follow my blog, post comments, purchase from me, are on my team – all that. Stampin’ Up! has afforded me the opportunity to share my creativity in a whole new way and I so appreciate all of you for sharing in my journey. So, thank you.

Family arrives later today for several days and I will be taking a bit of a break while they are here. I want my focus to be on them and not running to my computer to check for messages concerning this paper crafting business. Yes, each of you is important but family is a priority while they are here – thank you for understanding.

I had this Meandering Meadows DSP on my desk still and couldn’t help but continue playing with it. This time I added this wonderful ‘frame’ that is part of the Garden Meadows Dies. It is die cut from Very Vanilla card stock and added to the DSP with dimensionals. The DSP is adhered to Melon Mambo card stock just slightly larger and that is attached to a Blueberry Bushel card base with dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies buzzing around the flowers for a bit of ‘meadow feeling’.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then the flowers at the bottom in Garden Green ink. This is a precious stamp! The Very Vanilla panel is added to another Melon Mambo piece just slightly larger then into the inside of the card base – and done!

On the envelope I adhered the remaining piece of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 piece, just turned it to the other side. Then stamped that same sweet flower bunch in Garden Green ink on the front.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP Simple Card

Good morning! Today’s card is super simple – intentionally. I’m interested in making several of these to use as a quick notice of thinking of you, or concern, or birthday, or just a note, whether it be of appreciation or thanks or hello friend. I love the color contrasts in this DSP and for the simple layers. Behold… Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP.

Stampin' Up! Meandering Meadows DSP, hello

Blueberry Bushel is one of the coordinating colors for this DSP and I used it for my card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I trimmed the Meandering Meadows DSP to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and adhered it to Petal Pink just slightly larger. These two panels were added to the card base with dimensionals. As a final touch, three birds were added from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds. They show beautifully because they are brass!

For the inside… I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a Basic White panel, and it comes from the Garden Meadow stamp set, then added a strip of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP to the bottom (a continuation of the pattern from the card front). This was added to another panel of Petal Pink just slightly larger, then into the inside of the card.

The envelope flap got more of the same panel of Meandering Meadow DSP, just the other side of that 6×6 piece to create the card front! On the front of the envelope, I stamped the floral image in Basic Gray ink as it simulates the flowers in the scene on the card front. :O) Stampin’ Up! is really clever in the way they pair the DSP with stamp bundles – and actually, these are all a part of a suite of products in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. Stampin’ Up! Class Gnomes

Good morning Friday! We are headed out to pick up our live-cut tree this morning. It’s a tradition – no artificial tree for us. :O) We had card class yesterday – but in lieu of cards or boxes or a paper item, we made mop-head gnomes. – and a reindeer from clothes pins. Both turned out so cute.

Aren’t these fun? And it took about an hour to make the gnome and just a bit to make the reindeer. Great project for something different.

What to purchase to make the gnome:

16 oz dry beans
sock
scarf
mop head
wooden pull for nose
Jingle bells & ribbon

How to make:

Keep beans in bag & insert into one sock.
Coat mop head with glue with glue gun
Roll down excess sock and insert mop head into opening
If so desired unroll some of the mop head ‘strings’ so beard is finer (we did)
Cut scarf in half, cut into v-shape, glue sides, turn inside out and place over mop head
- Add jingle bell to length of ribbon and tie onto pointy end of hat
- Can stuff hat with tissue to make it stand up – I did
Hot glue nose into place pushing it onto the sock ‘bean bag’
Done!

Stampin’ Up! Stars At Night Ornaments

Good Wednesday! Midweek – the panic sets in – what is on my list today, what do I need to do first, what, what, what?! Today I’m sharing some of the Stars At Night ornaments I’ve been making. No two are alike, but they are similarities. I pulled out some different colors of glimmer paper and card stock.

There’s quite a variety here, isn’t there? Some surprises too, eh? Bottom row: on left Stargazing DSP for the circle, Basic White and Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem in the middle; bottom right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper; next row up and left is Three Color Glimmer Paper in Petal Pink, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a pearlized gem, right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and pearlized gem; third row up is Highland Heather card stock, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem, middle is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather, Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Silver Pearl; top row is more of the Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center, top right is Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a silver pearl. I used various ribbons that coordinated well with each ornament – Night of Navy Glittered Ribbon, Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon. As I was making a bunch, I pulled out the retired Circles Dies for convenience.

The rings are 4″ macrame hoops that I ordered from Amazon. If you would like to make these, here is the link to a previous post where I gave instructions. Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends Part 2 for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group

Good Tuesday! We have an easy challenge for the hop today… “Celebrate” – and we can interpret that however we like. We have a couple of family birthdays this month so that’s what I’m using. And, while I used this same stamp set Sunday, I’m using a different animal today :O)

Stampin' Up 4 Panel fun fold Fluffiest Friends

Look at that sweet bunny holding a cup cake – is that cute or what?! Using the Fluffiest Friends stamp set, I stamped it in Memento Black ink and colored a bit of the ears, nose and feet pads in Stampin’ Blends Dark Petal Pink. I die cut him with the coordinating Fluffiest Friends Dies. Since I had the dies out, I went ahead and die cut several leaves: in both Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party. I used the Nested Essentials Dies to cut the banner in Basic White. I added a layer of leaves to the banner with liquid glue, then the bunny on dimensionals and a few more leaves on dimensionals. The single heart is from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.

This is a 4 panel fun fold card and I used Petal Pink card stock for the card base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 1 1/4 and 4 1/4. I added panels of DSP: Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP, also from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. The pieces are (2) 1 x 5 1/2 and (2) 2 3/4 x 5 1/4. The banner with the bunny was added with Stampin’ Seal to the folded back front panel.

For the inside sentiment panel – Basic White piece – 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 – I pulled out another stamp set, Beautiful Balloons from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the Happy Birthday in Sweet Sorbet ink then the rounded sentiment in Petal Pink ink. The flowers at the bottom come from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set and are stamped in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends: Dark Petal Pink, Light Sweet Sorbet, Light Lemon Lolly and Light Granny Apple Green. On top of a few of the flowers I added a flower from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers. I adhered a few more of the die cut leaves in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party, attached the panel to the inside and the card was done.

For the envelope, I added more of the Sweet Sorbet DSP from Bee Mine 12×12 DSP pack to the flap. I stamped the balloon in Sweet Sorbet ink using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. I used a Basic Black Marker to add a bow and some squiggly string. I think the person receiving this card is going to love it! It’s feminine, full of color and has a super cute bunny :O)
