Stampin’ Up! All Occasion Card with Favored Flowers DSP

Goodness, here it is Sunday already… Jan 8. Did you place an order yet from the new Jan-Apr Mini Catalog? It’s full of some gorgeous stamp sets, bundles, designer series papers. Today’s card is an All Occasion card, definitely feminine, made with the stunning FREE Designer Series Paper Favored Flowers from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. It also uses Stitched Rectangle Dies, Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and for glam, a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The card base is Blackberry Bliss card stock, and I used that for another layer behind the floral panel. The Designer Series Paper is Favored Flowers and it’s FREE with a $50 order during Jan-Feb Sale-a-bration. The DSP panel is 4 x 5 1/4. I then took the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle to remove the center. I die cut from the floral side of the DSP, then simply turned the larger piece over to show the different DSP pattern. I adhered that directly to the Blackberry Bliss card base. I added a panel of Blackberry Bliss to the floral pattern, and wrapped it with the Open Weave Ribbon in Fresh Freesia, tying a bow. There’s a glue dot behind the bow knot to hold it in place. I then added a scrap of card stock behind this floral panel to elevate it. I could have put it on dimensionals, but I didn’t want that much raise to the panel. And the card front was done.

For the inside… A panel of Basic White and a fussy cut flower from the DSP adhered in place. DONE!

For the envelope, more of the same DSP pattern on the envelope flap and another fussy cut flower adhered to the envelope front. DONE. I will be making several of these and then add a banner for Happy Birthday or With Sympathy, or a simple Hello there. How perfect to have a bunch of these on hand. They don’t HAVE to have a sentiment at all, I just want to be you see some options for this kind of card/ layout. I’ll do some of these with a more masculine paper later so you can see other possibilities. And you don’t have to use this DSP – use something else to make various possibilities.

Stampin’ Up! Fun, Fun Fold with Desert Details and Favored Flowers DSP

Good Friday morning! While I wait for more wonderful Stampin’ Up! products from the new January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, I’m sharing some fabulous Designer Series Papers FREE with a $50 order – Sale-a-bration products. And yep – order any Stampin’ Up! products January-February to receive these items. Today’s card is a fun fold – not sure if it really has a name or title. If it does, please let me know.

This particular DSP coordinates pretty well with a stamp set that’s still on it’s way to me. So I looked at other new products I had on hand and decided to use Desert Details as a substitute – I think it works, and I really like the fun, light sentiments – all of which come from Desert Details Bundle.

Cut the card base in Petal Pink: add the Favored Flowers Designer Series Papers to the inside back and the front flap.
Cut the inside card panel and adhere to the card base, centering. I used Basic Black for card stock.
- Decorate the front of this panel with another piece of the Favored Flowers DSP
- Stamp the large flower from Desert Details stamp set in Petal Pink and die cut with Desert Details Dies.
- Cut a Basic Black circle with the Layering Circle Dies. Add the die cut flower with liquid glue. Add circle to the panel front.
- Stamp the sentiment banner in Memento Black ink using a sentiment from Desert Details stamp set. The strip is Basic White. Add over the flower with dimensionals.
- Add Wink of Stella to this flower to give the sparkle – just in the shaded areas.
For this inside panel: Basic White stamped with the sentiment in Petal Pink ink then stamp the smaller flower also in Petal Pink ink. Add this panel to the inside of the card – and done!

For the envelope, more of the Favored Flowers DSP for the flap and the same smaller flower from Desert Details stamp set in Petal Pink for the front. Wasn’t that easy & fun? A fun, Fun Fold! Dimensions to make this card are at the bottoms of this post.

Stampin’ Up! Day At The Farm DSP for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning and WECOME to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! You’re going to see some pretty awesome cards today so be sure to make the full circuit. Today is also the day the January – April 2023 Mini Catalog goes live – woohoo!

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

This sketch challenge just said DSP to me – so I’m showcasing a piece of the Day At The Farm DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. Yep – it’s free with a $50 order – any Stampin’ Up! products!

This is a very masculine kind of card, isn’t it? And you know what, this layout could be used for a lot of Designer Series Papers and be totally different each time. I like that about a layout. This is for a family that lost their dog recently, and if you’re a pet lover, you know how devastating that can be.Their unconditional love and allegiance cannot be matched by a human being. Before I get too philosophical – let’s get the details on this card. This front DSP panel from Day at the Farm DSP pack, is Sahara Sand and I’ve added it to a Cherry Cobbler layer, put that on dimensionals and adhered it to the Sahara Sand card base. The sentiment comes from the Adorable Owls stamp set – another FREE ITEM with a $50 order in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Basic White strip and simply trimmed it to the length I wanted. I adhered that to a slightly larger Cherry Cobbler strip. I took a length of one of the twines in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack that looks similar to Sahara Sand in color and wrapped it around the strip and tied a knot in front. I added three Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots then added dimesnionals and attached it to the front of the card.

For the inside… there is something to say for retired sets – and well, some you just can’t get rid of. Pampered Pets and it’s coordinating dog punch is one of those sets. This little food bowl with a doggie footprint on it is just too perfect for this situation and I had to use it. The sentiment is stamped in Sahara Sand ink and the bowl in Memento Black ink on the Basic White panel. Yep, mounted on Cherry Cobbler and added to the inside of the card. Done!

For the envelope I used more of the Day at the Farm DSP for the flap. LOVE THIS PLAID! The dog is punched from a piece of the Fancy Flora DSP – the dog was a yellow lab and this just seemed to fit the situation. The heart is part of the punch and the reverse side of that same Fancy Flora DSP. How perfect could it be?! And the card is complete… my apologies for using something that cannot be ordered, but, well, I had to.

Stampin’ Up! Favored Flowers and Something Fancy Bundle

Good Wednesday morning! Thank you to those who placed orders for the Paper Share! There are some beautiful ones AGAIN! And I’m showcasing a FREEBIE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration which begins…n TOMORROW, wheee. I happen to have a thing about notebooks. I like to carry one in my purse to make notes about, well, anything 😀 And I like to have them available to give away. So today I’m featuring these beauties.

Aren’t these stunning papers? The colors here are Calypso Coral, Basic Black and Evening Evergreen & Petal Pink. I used various ribbons to use as a page marker: Open Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen, White Glittered Organdy, &White 3/4″ Frayed Ribbon. I’ve also used Something Fancy stamp set for the sentiments stamped in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the coordinating Something Fancy Dies. I really like how these dies have a ‘nesting’ capability – meaning same shape but slightly larger. To create the background for the sentiment I used the larger die and cut from the same paper, just the reverse side. On the far right notebook, that background was die cut from Calypso Coral. Embellishments used on the sentiments were Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls (soon to retire – like end of day TODAY – and the Iridescent Pastel Gems from the new Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Fancy Flora Tent Fun Fold Sympathy

Welcome back to 2023 – January 2! Which means… by January 3 please let me know your desire for a Paper Share… 😀 I’ll add that information below as a refresher for you. Today’s card is unfortunately a sympathy card and will go out immediately. I never seem to have enough of these, ugh. It is also a tent fold.

Do you see in photo 2 how the tent fold looks? It is so incredibly simple – an added piece of card stock adhered to the front & card back.

Isn’t this Fancy Flora DSP just wonderful? This particular pattern is Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, & shades of both. I’ve added a bit of Shimmer Ribbon in Gold behind the sentiment banner. The sentiment comes from Something Fancy & is stamped in Basic Gray ink on Basic White. It was die cut with the Something Fancy Dies. I also used a retired product called Red & Green Adhesive-Backed Pearls in Silver.

Now, let’s take a look at the back of the card.

I’ve kept with the same colors: Daffodil Delight & Basic Gray, stamping each of the flower detail as the second step. The flowers are just stunning to me with the magic of the detail. I stamped the leaf images in Soft Succulent – all on Basic White and matted it on a Basic Gray panel then adhered it to the back.

The last is the envelope… more of the Fancy Flora DSP for the flap, trimmed to fit. For the front of the envelope, I stamped these sweet small flowers, again using Daffodil Delight as the fill and Basic Gray for the detail.The flowers and leaves all are from Two-Tone Flora – just a beautiful stamp set. And while I didn’t use the dies for this card, it does have coordinating dies – 10% off when purchasing the bundle. That is also available coming January 5, 2023. Stampin’ Up! Sneaky Peek At The Pond Hinge Fun Fold

Happy Happy 2023!I’ve been a bit out of the loop for a bit – hubby had surgery & my attention was all about that, then Christmas & family – and now, here we are. I hope you had a really good holiday, however you celebrate things. Ours was quieter, of course, but still wonderful. We are so blessed with wonderful family. – and hubby is improving every day. 👍🙏

My card today is a sneaky peek at one of the HOST stamp options for the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog, which will be available come Jan 5. And that’s just really soon! I’ve also used some DSP that is free with a qualifying order during the Jan-Feb Sale-a-bration period – Dainty Flowers DSP.

Isn’t this a cute, sassy frog? I’m going to name him Alfred – and no, I have no idea where that came from. 😀 You can see there are no flowers on this side of the Dainty Flowers DSP – it looks similar to watercolors – love, love. And the hinge flap has a sentiment from another new stamp set called Sending Support – also FREE with a qualifying order during Jan-Feb Sale-a-bration. I’ve die cut the sentiment with Stylish Shapes Dies. I extended the length of the die cut a bit to make the sentiment fit. But I’ll explain that.

Hinge Flap Fun Fold:

Cut card base 81/2 x 5 1/2 and score at 4 1/4 on the long side.
Trim off 1 1/2 from the long side; score this at 4 1/4
Adhere this strip to the card base about 3/4″ from bottom with the fold on the edge (I adhered it lower and don’t like where it is!) This is now your hinge flap!

Decorate:

Cut panels of DSP: front – 1 3/4 x 2 1/2; hinge flap – 1 1/4 x 4; inside – 1 3/4 x 4; envelope flap – 2 1/4 x 6
Cut Basic White panels: front – 2 1/2 x 4; inside 4 x 5 1/4; sentiment banner for hinge flap 1 1/4 x 3
On the front panel:
- Stamp the frog in Old Olive – this is a two-step stamp, so stamp the inner then the outline
- Stamp the log in Soft Suede – again aa two-step stamp, stamp the inner then then outline stamp
- Stamp the bee in Crushed Curry & Memento inks – CC for the wings, then the body in Memento
- Add this panel to the card front
On the inside panel:
- Add the 1 3/4 x 4 DSP to the far right edge
- Stamp the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink using the Sending Support stamp set
- Adhere this to the inside of the card, covering where the hinge flap is attached
On the hinge flap:
- Add DSP to the flap (1 1/4 x 4)
- Stamp the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink from Sending Support stamp set on the remaining Basic White strip
- Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies: Die cut about 2/3 of length by placing the top cutting plate so it covers just 2/3 of die; run it through the die cutting machine; replace die to cover other end of stamped sentiment, matching or lining up die, then placing top cutting plate just over that area to be die cut, run it through the die cutting machine – and done!
- Attache die cut sentiment to hinge flap with dimensionals
Add Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to both hinge flap and card front

All that’s left to do now is the envelope & it is so easy…

Add 2 1/4 x 6 piece of Dainty Flowers DSP to the envelope flap & trim to fit
Stamp the small bees 3 times on envelope front in Crushed Curry ink using the At The Pond stamp set

Stampin’ Up! Showing off NEW Fancy Flora 6×6 DSP

Good Wednesday! It has been a week today since hubby had total left knee replacement. The week SEEMS to have flown by, but not really.My craft room is upstairs and I keep bringing items down to the main floor to work as I can. And you know what – it ALL has to return to its rightful place SOON – in time for family to arrive Christmas Day. And… I desperately need to wrap presents!!! Does everyone have their wrapping complete but me? 🥴

Fancy Flora 6×6 DSP is new in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog – and at first I didn’t really like it much. But as I work with it, it’s really growing on me. Today I have combined the Fancy Flora DSP with Something Fancy stamp set & coordinating dies, but also the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. As I mentioned in an earlier post, this paper reminds me of oils and Monet and this embossing folder just ‘goes’. I’ve also used Natural Finish Ribbon, Opal Rounds, and Sahara Sand ink.

What I did:

Cut a panel of Fancy Flora 6×6 DSP (available Jan 5, 2023) to cover the entire front of an A2 card.
Emboss this panel with the Painted Texture 3D EF; adhere panel to a Thick Basic White card base
Cut a length of Natural Finish Ribbon, trim ends to your liking, fold over and add to card front with glue dots
Stamp sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set with Sahara Sand ink; die cut with coordinating Something Fancy Dies
Adhere die cut over the ribbon with dimensionals
Add three Opal Rounds and the front is done!

Something Fancy stamp set and Something Fancy Dies – (available Jan 5, 2023). These also coordinate with the Fancy Floral bundle. The sentiments are great for lots of different occasions.

Look at some of the papers in this pack and see if you could create something similar – but a masculine card. I think you can!

Stampin’ Up! Sneaky Peek Two-Tone Flora

Good Sunday morning everyone! Who can tell me what happens just one week from today? 🎄That’s a hint. Yay! Christmas! A time for celebrating Christ’s birth. A time for sharing our love for one another. Rejoice!

Today I’m sharing a sneaky peek of new products from the Jan-Apri 2023 Mini Catalog. This is such a sweet, soft all occasion card with an absolutely beautiful die as the focus. But in this sneaky peek I will show you the other dies and the stamps in this set as well as the new DSP that coordinates with it. Let’s look at the card first.

Is this gorgeousness or what?! It’s die cut with a single die with Thick Basic White card stock. I like to use the Thick paper for a die cut like this as it gives it more strength. You can see I added a Linen bow with a glue dot after stamping the sentiment (Inspired Thoughts stamp set) in Blushing Bride ink. Then with my paper snips I created the end and attached the stamped strip with dimensionals. Done!

Here’s the coordinating die.

It looks as though I didn’t clean all the paper out of the die cut. Yep – I’ll have to do that prior to using it again. This decorated card front is 4 1/8 x 5 1/2. You could make it 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 prior to running it through the die cutter. And I layered this on coordinating Fancy Flora 6×6 DSP. Both were attached to the card base of Blushing Bride 4 1/45 x 11, scored at 5 1/2. Here’s a look at the DSP. Keep in mind it looks similar to oil paints, a Monet perhaps.

The colors in the DSP are Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Night of Navy, Orchid Oasis, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Suede, Soft Succulent.

Interestingly, my card uses Blushing Bride, Petal Pink and Merry Merlot + Pear Pizzazz for the green. And it works! Let’s look more closely at the stamp set and the other dies. I haven’t used other dies on this card – but will soon use in the future. :O)

The closest photo is those very stamps, stamped on paper to dimply ‘see’ what they look like and how they coordinate with one another. I’ve tried to put stamp them together with the stamps that coordinate. it isn’t perfect, but you can easily see how they work.

In this photo at left you see the coordinating floral and leaf dies. For each of the individual solid floral stamps, there is a coordinating die – and same is true for the leaves: a leaf spray + the two-leaf stamp.

The large flower is stamped in Blushing bride and Merry Merlot for the detail. The detail doesn’t show very well :O( However, the two other flowers are stamped in Petal Pink with Merry Merlot for the detail and you can see how well that works. The same two-leaf stamp is used to stamp around the flowers with Pear Pizzazz ink. This was done on Basic White, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The sentiment on both the front and inside are stamped in Blushing Bride ink and come from Inspiring Thoughts stamp set.

The envelope got more of the very same pattern of Fancy Flora DSP trimmed to fit after adhering in place to the flap. The flower ‘burst’ is stamped in Petal Pink with Merry Merlot for detail. And here’s tip: stamp the more solid stamp as step 1, step 2 is the detail.

Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets, Silver Sympathy

Good Friday morning. It’s close to the weekend and in less than 10 days, it will be Christmas! Yikes… so much to do yet – well, wrapping mostly. I’ve a soft, sympathy card for you today, made with the Framed Florets and coordinating Framed Florets Dies.

My card base is Basic Gray, but I’ve covered the front with Gingham Cottage DSP. I then took a smaller panel of Basic White and die cut the frame and center oval. I stamped the oval in Memento ink with the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. All three panels were adhered to the card front. I then die cut from Silver Foil, the wonderful leaves using the Framed Florets Dies, and adhered them in place with liquid adhesive. The flower is also stamped in Memento ink, then colored with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. This was adhered with dimensionals. For a final touch I added three Festive Pearls in Silver – and the card front was complete.

For the inside this sentiment was perfect – and it comes again from Inspired Thoughts stamp set. It was stamped on a Basic White panel in Memento ink. I then took a Blending Brush and added ever so slightly, some Basic Gray all around the edges. And finally, I added a strip of the Gingham Cottage DSP to the panel and adhered it in place.

For the envelope, more of the Gingham Cottage in Basic Gray for the flap, trimmed to fit – and the card is ready to send. It will go out in today’s mail, to a friend who recently lost her hubby.
