Stampin’ Up! Lifetime of Love Bundle

Hello to the weekend! Hope you have something fun planned. We’ve hads a week of pretty nasty weather – cold, windy, rain (like pouring rain). Today we were able to walk without getting drenched.

I pulled out another new product for today’s card – can’t believe I haven’t played with this bundle yet – Lifetime of Love Bundle. This set can be used for so many cards: anniversary, just because, valentines, wedding. I especially love the dies :O) And here’s just one of them.

I die cut the image from Delightful Floral 12×12 DSP – a Calypso Coral side, using the Lifetime of love Dies. I then colored the flower with a sponge dauber and Calypso Coral ink. Next I added more color to the leaves: Pretty Peacock then Parakeet Party, both with sponge daubers. I pulled Petal Pink card stock, ran it through the Softly Sophisticated 3D embossing folder (a FREE Product with a qualified order during Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration), then tapped it lightly with the Whisper White ink pad. I laid the die cut image on the embossed panel to determine where the sentiment should be, then stamped that sentiment from Lifetime of Love stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I probably should have stamped it prior to the embossing, but didn’t. – shame on me. It still turned out well. I adhered the die cut piece with small dabs of liquid glue and added it to the card front. I cut a piece of Basic White slightly larger and adhered the two together, put dimensionals on the back and attached it to a Petal Pink card base. For a bit of flourish, I added three Iridescent Foil Gems from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog and a bow from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack in Petal Pink. This duo is in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

For the inside, I stamped the leaf from Lifetime of Love stamp set using Parakeet Party ink than a sponge dauber to bring in some Pretty Peacock. The sentiment is from Lifetime of Love stamp set and is stamp in Pretty Peacock ink. If you have never tried adding extra depth of color with a sponge dauber – DO! It can make a dramatic difference. Here I wanted a subtle effect of color on the leaf and like it a lot.

For the envelope… I ran just the flap of the envelope through the embossing folder by placing the the flap inside the embossing folder and folding the remainder of the envelope under the folder. You can see the direction is different, but that’s ok. For the front of the envelope, I stamped the floral image in Calypso Coral ink – and that was that.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Suite

TODAY’S THE DAY… the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog AND the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog go LIVE. Whoopie! So here’s my card today, showcasing Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Postage AND the Perennial Lavender DSP– all are part of a suite of products found on pages 22-25.

I’ve used several of the suite products to make this card… Softly Sophisticated embossing folder is a FREE item in the Sale-a-Bration catalog with a qualifying purchase. It’s the background for this card and I love the delicate imprint. The next layer is a Crumb Cake piece die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. On that is Gorgeous Grape card stock, cut to fit inside the stitched lines of the die cut. Then of course is this stunning DSP – Perennial Lavender DSP, cut just a wee bit smaller. These three layers were adhered together and added to the Thick Basic White card base and embossing folder with dimensionals. I then die cut three ‘stems’: the largest from Lost Lagoon card stock, and the two smaller in Gorgeous Grape & Basic White. These dies come from Perennial Lavender Dies and were attached with liquid glue. I pulled out the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut another piece of Crumb Cake for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set & is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Before adhering the sentiment with dimensionals, I tied a large bow using the Woven Metallic Ribbon in Orchid Oasis and attached it with a glue dot and the sentiment panel goes right over it. I like the sparkle of the ribbon and how the shades of purple flow together and compliment one another. I think I’m going to have to add a few of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that are part of this suite!

For the inside… on a Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink slightly off-center (from Perennial Postage stamp set), then stamped the lovely floral bouquet (from Painted Lavender stamp set) in stamped off Highland Heather ink. This creates a wonderfully feminine effect that coordinates with the feminine front of the card.

For the envelope, I stamped the same floral bouquet from Painted Lavender stamp set in stamped off Highland Heather ink on the envelope front. Love, love – and hope you do as well.

The sentiments used for this card make it an all occasion card that can be used for thinking of you to birthday greeting to missing you. I really like this flexibility!

OK – how to get these…. the suite number is 162613 or items can be ordered separately. Unless there is something I really, realloy don’t want in a suite of prodcuts, I usually order the full suite – one number does it all. And just so you know, there is no advantage other than inputting one number as opposed to several numbers on the order form. The bottom price is the same.

It is Jan 2 and in just two days – Jan 4 – the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog goes live. I thought it might be fun today take a peek at some of the cards I’ve made with a few of the new stamps/ bundles.

We’ll start with the Bee Mine Suite found on pages 8-10. This suite includes the stamp set & coordinating punch, some very fun Designer Series Paper, ribbon, pillow boxes and embellishments.

On page 12 is the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle that also includes a punch.

It’s interesting how different cards can be by changing small elements in them: colors, Designer Series Papers, angles, embellishments.

The next suite I’m sharing cards from is Perennial Lavender Suite with two stamp sets and two sets of dies, Butterfly Accents, DSP, and gems – all found on pages 22-25.

The lovely flower die cuts are just beautiful. In these two cards you can see a couple of sizes of new Perennial Postage Dies – FUN! The DSP is from this suite as are the embellishments and check out the white butterfly… there are several sizes and various shapes too.

Quiet Reflection stamp set can be found on page 63 and is a beautiful stamp with wonderful, heartfelt sayings. Remeber that if you desire to see the original post, just click on the link in the photo.

The last card I’ll share today is made with the Stippled Roses bundle which includes coordinating dies. This can be found on page 64. This bundle has coordinating paper as part of the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog.

Back to the stamp set though – look at the stunning roses in the 1st & 3rd cards – the detail is wonderful. And the dies – again, the detail is remarkable.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP with Frame

It’s Christmas Eve morning and excitement is in the air! Before I get too far into my post and the card of the day, let me say thank you to those who follow my blog, post comments, purchase from me, are on my team – all that. Stampin’ Up! has afforded me the opportunity to share my creativity in a whole new way and I so appreciate all of you for sharing in my journey. So, thank you.

Family arrives later today for several days and I will be taking a bit of a break while they are here. I want my focus to be on them and not running to my computer to check for messages concerning this paper crafting business. Yes, each of you is important but family is a priority while they are here – thank you for understanding.

I had this Meandering Meadows DSP on my desk still and couldn’t help but continue playing with it. This time I added this wonderful ‘frame’ that is part of the Garden Meadows Dies. It is die cut from Very Vanilla card stock and added to the DSP with dimensionals. The DSP is adhered to Melon Mambo card stock just slightly larger and that is attached to a Blueberry Bushel card base with dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies buzzing around the flowers for a bit of ‘meadow feeling’.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then the flowers at the bottom in Garden Green ink. This is a precious stamp! The Very Vanilla panel is added to another Melon Mambo piece just slightly larger then into the inside of the card base – and done!

On the envelope I adhered the remaining piece of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 piece, just turned it to the other side. Then stamped that same sweet flower bunch in Garden Green ink on the front.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP Simple Card

Good morning! Today’s card is super simple – intentionally. I’m interested in making several of these to use as a quick notice of thinking of you, or concern, or birthday, or just a note, whether it be of appreciation or thanks or hello friend. I love the color contrasts in this DSP and for the simple layers. Behold… Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP.

Blueberry Bushel is one of the coordinating colors for this DSP and I used it for my card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I trimmed the Meandering Meadows DSP to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and adhered it to Petal Pink just slightly larger. These two panels were added to the card base with dimensionals. As a final touch, three birds were added from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds. They show beautifully because they are brass!

For the inside… I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a Basic White panel, and it comes from the Garden Meadow stamp set, then added a strip of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP to the bottom (a continuation of the pattern from the card front). This was added to another panel of Petal Pink just slightly larger, then into the inside of the card.

The envelope flap got more of the same panel of Meandering Meadow DSP, just the other side of that 6×6 piece to create the card front! On the front of the envelope, I stamped the floral image in Basic Gray ink as it simulates the flowers in the scene on the card front. :O) Stampin’ Up! is really clever in the way they pair the DSP with stamp bundles – and actually, these are all a part of a suite of products in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. Stampin’ Up! Quiet Reflection Stamp set

Good morning! ‘Tis Tuesday Dec 19… we decorated our Christmas tree last night. It has become tradition to have a couple of family members come for dinner & tree ornament placement on the tree. Hubby got up Sunday morning at 4 AM and put all the lights on – 6-7 strands worth. It is thick with lights :O) Anyway – that isn’t why you’re here. Let’s check out this new stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog…

I used Mossy Meadow as the card base, Basic White and Neutrals 6×6 DSP then stamped a Basic White panel for the top layer. The stamping used Gray Granite ink, which looks a bit soft brown & gray. It’s perfect for this ‘scene’ – it’s a woodsy shadow look that is quite peaceful. And it’s meant to be. The sentiment is also from the Quiet Reflection stamp set and it was stamped with Gray Granite ink, as I mentioned earlier. I adhered the Basic White strip to Gray Granite card stock, put dimensionals on that and attached it to the stamped panel. As a final step, I added three Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots around the tree shadow.

For the inside of the card, the sentiment from Quiet Reflection is stamped in Gray Granite ink on the Basic White panel. I added a strip of the Neutrals 6×6 DSP in Mossy Meadow to the bottom – and that was it. Love this font!!!

For the envelope – more of the Neutrals 6×6 DSP in Mossy Meadow adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. And that was it – kept very simple.

Stampin’ Up! Class Gnomes

Good morning Friday! We are headed out to pick up our live-cut tree this morning. It’s a tradition – no artificial tree for us. :O) We had card class yesterday – but in lieu of cards or boxes or a paper item, we made mop-head gnomes. – and a reindeer from clothes pins. Both turned out so cute.

Aren’t these fun? And it took about an hour to make the gnome and just a bit to make the reindeer. Great project for something different.

What to purchase to make the gnome:

16 oz dry beans
sock
scarf
mop head
wooden pull for nose
Jingle bells & ribbon

How to make:

Keep beans in bag & insert into one sock.
Coat mop head with glue with glue gun
Roll down excess sock and insert mop head into opening
If so desired unroll some of the mop head ‘strings’ so beard is finer (we did)
Cut scarf in half, cut into v-shape, glue sides, turn inside out and place over mop head
- Add jingle bell to length of ribbon and tie onto pointy end of hat
- Can stuff hat with tissue to make it stand up – I did
Hot glue nose into place pushing it onto the sock ‘bean bag’
Done!

Stampin’ Up! Stars At Night Ornaments

Good Wednesday! Midweek – the panic sets in – what is on my list today, what do I need to do first, what, what, what?! Today I’m sharing some of the Stars At Night ornaments I’ve been making. No two are alike, but they are similarities. I pulled out some different colors of glimmer paper and card stock.

There’s quite a variety here, isn’t there? Some surprises too, eh? Bottom row: on left Stargazing DSP for the circle, Basic White and Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem in the middle; bottom right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper; next row up and left is Three Color Glimmer Paper in Petal Pink, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a pearlized gem, right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and pearlized gem; third row up is Highland Heather card stock, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem, middle is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather, Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Silver Pearl; top row is more of the Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center, top right is Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a silver pearl. I used various ribbons that coordinated well with each ornament – Night of Navy Glittered Ribbon, Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon. As I was making a bunch, I pulled out the retired Circles Dies for convenience.

The rings are 4″ macrame hoops that I ordered from Amazon. If you would like to make these, here is the link to a previous post where I gave instructions. Did you notice the use of the Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper? It’s FABULOUS and also comes in Gold and I use these two a lot! Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends Part 2 for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group

Good Tuesday! We have an easy challenge for the hop today… “Celebrate” – and we can interpret that however we like. We have a couple of family birthdays this month so that’s what I’m using. And, while I used this same stamp set Sunday, I’m using a different animal today :O)

Stampin' Up 4 Panel fun fold Fluffiest Friends

Look at that sweet bunny holding a cup cake – is that cute or what?! Using the Fluffiest Friends stamp set, I stamped it in Memento Black ink and colored a bit of the ears, nose and feet pads in Stampin’ Blends Dark Petal Pink. I die cut him with the coordinating Fluffiest Friends Dies. Since I had the dies out, I went ahead and die cut several leaves: in both Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party. I used the Nested Essentials Dies to cut the banner in Basic White. I added a layer of leaves to the banner with liquid glue, then the bunny on dimensionals and a few more leaves on dimensionals. The single heart is from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.

This is a 4 panel fun fold card and I used Petal Pink card stock for the card base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 1 1/4 and 4 1/4. I added panels of DSP: Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP, also from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. The pieces are (2) 1 x 5 1/2 and (2) 2 3/4 x 5 1/4. The banner with the bunny was added with Stampin’ Seal to the folded back front panel.

For the inside sentiment panel – Basic White piece – 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 – I pulled out another stamp set, Beautiful Balloons from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the Happy Birthday in Sweet Sorbet ink then the rounded sentiment in Petal Pink ink. The flowers at the bottom come from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set and are stamped in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends: Dark Petal Pink, Light Sweet Sorbet, Light Lemon Lolly and Light Granny Apple Green. On top of a few of the flowers I added a flower from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers. I adhered a few more of the die cut leaves in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party, attached the panel to the inside and the card was done.

Stampin' Up! Fluffiest Friends card & envelope, bunny

For the envelope, I added more of the Sweet Sorbet DSP from Bee Mine 12×12 DSP pack to the flap. I stamped the balloon in Sweet Sorbet ink using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. I used a Basic Black Marker to add a bow and some squiggly string. I think the person receiving this card is going to love it! It’s feminine, full of color and has a super cute bunny :O)
