Stampin’ Up! Love is in the Air for Amy’ Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group

Good Tuesday! Hope your day/ week is going well. We have a blog hop today as part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew :O) The theme is LOVE – any way we want to interpret that and I’ve created a ‘missing middle’ card.

Isn’t this fun? In that open area I’ve stamped my sentiment – it’s where the card front ‘middle’ is missing :O)

This is so incredibly easy to make and the fun part is, the ‘missing middle’ can be larger or smaller, and the connecting section can also be different. I started with a 4 1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White and scored it at 5 1/2. I removed two sections from one end 2 x 4 1/4. Since the theme is LOVE and I really like this plaid paper of the Bee Mine DSP, that became the two focal sections and the bee with the hearts became my center focal point.

Card cuts:

Sweet Sorbet: 1 7/8 x 4 1/8 (cut 2); 1 3/8 x 4 1/8 – add to Thick Basic White sections appropriately
Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP: 1 3/4 x 4 (cut 2- one in plaid, one w/ bee); 1 1/4 x 4 in plaid – adhere to proper sections

Directions:

Fold card panel on score line and line up larger plaid panel even with bottom of card
Put dimensionals on backside of the bee panel, both top & bottom, attach to closed card front approximately 1/2″ from left edge and equidistant top & bottom – & voila! In retrospect, it should probably have been closer to the left edge. I tried to move it over but it was adhered tightly!
With the Bee My Valentine stamp set, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink with the card in the closed position
Add embellishments – here they are the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers in Sweet Sorbet

In the far left photo you can see how the top portion of the card looks from the inside. In the right photo is the sentiment panel. I attached another plaid piece of the Bee Mine DSP (5/8 x 4) to a Sweet Sorbet (3/4 x 4 1/8) and then to the inside of the card. This brings the color to the inside of the card and provides a ‘connecting color scheme’ to the card. Fun, fun!

For the envelope, more of the Bee Mine DSP on the flap and a fussy cut bee peeking around the corner adhered to the front. :O) Love, love.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Suite

TODAY’S THE DAY… the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog AND the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog go LIVE. Whoopie! So here’s my card today, showcasing Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Postage AND the Perennial Lavender DSP– all are part of a suite of products found on pages 22-25.

I’ve used several of the suite products to make this card… Softly Sophisticated embossing folder is a FREE item in the Sale-a-Bration catalog with a qualifying purchase. It’s the background for this card and I love the delicate imprint. The next layer is a Crumb Cake piece die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. On that is Gorgeous Grape card stock, cut to fit inside the stitched lines of the die cut. Then of course is this stunning DSP – Perennial Lavender DSP, cut just a wee bit smaller. These three layers were adhered together and added to the Thick Basic White card base and embossing folder with dimensionals. I then die cut three ‘stems’: the largest from Lost Lagoon card stock, and the two smaller in Gorgeous Grape & Basic White. These dies come from Perennial Lavender Dies and were attached with liquid glue. I pulled out the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut another piece of Crumb Cake for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set & is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Before adhering the sentiment with dimensionals, I tied a large bow using the Woven Metallic Ribbon in Orchid Oasis and attached it with a glue dot and the sentiment panel goes right over it. I like the sparkle of the ribbon and how the shades of purple flow together and compliment one another. I think I’m going to have to add a few of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that are part of this suite!

For the inside… on a Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink slightly off-center (from Perennial Postage stamp set), then stamped the lovely floral bouquet (from Painted Lavender stamp set) in stamped off Highland Heather ink. This creates a wonderfully feminine effect that coordinates with the feminine front of the card.

For the envelope, I stamped the same floral bouquet from Painted Lavender stamp set in stamped off Highland Heather ink on the envelope front. Love, love – and hope you do as well.

The sentiments used for this card make it an all occasion card that can be used for thinking of you to birthday greeting to missing you. I really like this flexibility!

OK – how to get these…. the suite number is 162613 or items can be ordered separately. Unless there is something I really, realloy don’t want in a suite of prodcuts, I usually order the full suite – one number does it all. And just so you know, there is no advantage other than inputting one number as opposed to several numbers on the order form. The bottom price is the same.

Stampin’ Up! Stippled Roses Birthday

Happy Happy 2024!!! Here we are in a new year. Did you make or are you in the process of making resolutions? I was talking with someone the other day and the topic was really about facing a topic and asking ourselves, ‘why are we afraid of it’ (whatever that is?)” And how, if we break it down, take it apart, it’s easier to face or do. First we name it, then ask the question, then break it down. The unknown can be so hard to face. Gosh, I got all philosophical… go figure… enuf of that. Let’s play with paper & create.

I began by stamping this beautiful rose bouquet in Basic Gray ink from Stippled Roses stamp set and coloring it with Stampin’ Blends: Light Calypso Coral, Light Sweet Sorbet and Old Olive for the leaves. I die cut it with the coordinating Stippled Roses Dies. Next decision was what background…. and I really like this Pebbled Path pattern in the Softly Stippled DSP. Now what else to do??? I got out my Vellum Basic SDSP and die cut several (well, three) leaves using the Stippled Roses Dies. The pattern doesn’t show so much, but the vellum leaves are attached to the back of the rose bouquet with Stampin’ Seal.. I added dimensionals and attached it to the Softly Stippled DSP panel. I wanted a bit of accent and Old Olive fit that need and all was adhered to the Pebbled Path card base. The sentiment is also from Stippled Roses and stamped on a Basic White strip with Pebbled Path ink. I trimmed ther ends, added mini dimensionals to the end and a bit of glue to the center area and attached it over the rose bouquet. I added three 2023-2025 In Color Dots in Pebbled Path.

For the inside, I stamped the single rose with leaves in Pebbled Path ink – also from the Stippled Roses stamp set – on the Basic White panel; adhered this to Old Olive card stock slightly larger and into the card base.

For the envelope – this same single rose with leaves was stamped on the envelope front and another piece of the Softly Stippled DSP was adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit. Done. I really likje the background on this card and how it softens the colors of the bouquet – and the vellum leaves too. Hope you like it as well.

Stampin’ Up! Flight & Airy Birthday Card

Good Friday morning! Gosh, the 29th of December…. where has the year gone? I’m sharing a new DSP that will be available come Jan 4, 2024 called Flight & Airy 12 x 12 DSP and it is FREE with a $50 order (before taxes & shipping). It is so sweet with birds and delicate branches and soft bright colors. Here’s the card…

Such a sweet bird! I began by die cutting the Flight & Airy DSP with the third from smallest Countryside Corners Dies, punched a couple of leaves from Vellum using the Bough Punch.I adhered these to the back of the DSP with Stampin’ Seal. I also looked at the backs of the Flight & Airy DSP for my background paper & chose this pretty Pecan Pie piece, adhered it to a Pecan Pie card base. I put dimensionals on the die cut DSP piece and attached it to the card front. I stamped the sentiment using another new stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog called Stippled Roses stamp set (it has coordinating dies!) and Pecan Pie ink. I adhered the stamped piece to another strip of Pecan Pie, put dimensionals on it and attached it under the focal point. The last touch was adding Blooming Pearls (3) in Garden Green – and the card front was complete.

For the inside, I fussy cut one of the birds on a branch with leaves and attached it with liquid glue to the Basic White & Flight & Airy panel – and adhered all to the inside of the card.

I found a scrap with a wee bird peeking up and fussy cut that too and adhered it to the envelope front. More of the Flight & Airy DSP to the flap and done! Such a sweet card!

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP with Frame

It’s Christmas Eve morning and excitement is in the air! Before I get too far into my post and the card of the day, let me say thank you to those who follow my blog, post comments, purchase from me, are on my team – all that. Stampin’ Up! has afforded me the opportunity to share my creativity in a whole new way and I so appreciate all of you for sharing in my journey. So, thank you.

Family arrives later today for several days and I will be taking a bit of a break while they are here. I want my focus to be on them and not running to my computer to check for messages concerning this paper crafting business. Yes, each of you is important but family is a priority while they are here – thank you for understanding.

I had this Meandering Meadows DSP on my desk still and couldn’t help but continue playing with it. This time I added this wonderful ‘frame’ that is part of the Garden Meadows Dies. It is die cut from Very Vanilla card stock and added to the DSP with dimensionals. The DSP is adhered to Melon Mambo card stock just slightly larger and that is attached to a Blueberry Bushel card base with dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies buzzing around the flowers for a bit of ‘meadow feeling’.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then the flowers at the bottom in Garden Green ink. This is a precious stamp! The Very Vanilla panel is added to another Melon Mambo piece just slightly larger then into the inside of the card base – and done!

On the envelope I adhered the remaining piece of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 piece, just turned it to the other side. Then stamped that same sweet flower bunch in Garden Green ink on the front.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP Simple Card

Good morning! Today’s card is super simple – intentionally. I’m interested in making several of these to use as a quick notice of thinking of you, or concern, or birthday, or just a note, whether it be of appreciation or thanks or hello friend. I love the color contrasts in this DSP and for the simple layers. Behold… Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP.

Blueberry Bushel is one of the coordinating colors for this DSP and I used it for my card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I trimmed the Meandering Meadows DSP to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and adhered it to Petal Pink just slightly larger. These two panels were added to the card base with dimensionals. As a final touch, three birds were added from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds. They show beautifully because they are brass!

For the inside… I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a Basic White panel, and it comes from the Garden Meadow stamp set, then added a strip of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP to the bottom (a continuation of the pattern from the card front). This was added to another panel of Petal Pink just slightly larger, then into the inside of the card.

The envelope flap got more of the same panel of Meandering Meadow DSP, just the other side of that 6×6 piece to create the card front! On the front of the envelope, I stamped the floral image in Basic Gray ink as it simulates the flowers in the scene on the card front. :O) Stampin’ Up! is really clever in the way they pair the DSP with stamp bundles – and actually, these are all a part of a suite of products in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. Stampin’ Up! December Paper Pumpkin is a WOW!

Good morning! My December Paper Pumpkin arrived yesterday and with no outside obligations last night I set right to work to put it together. The cards are gorgeous… and spring-like. There’s even a clear box for them so they can be given as a gift :O)

These last two photos show the envelope front and the acetate box with all nine cards inside. Notice there is a wrap around (belly band) piece with a single flower attached. Stampin’ Up! really went all out with this months kit. I love everything about them – and they took such a short time putting them together. I felt no need to come up with alternatives either – these are so pretty. At least for me – they fit the bill perfectly!

This kit is appropriately called All The Best and makes nine gorgeous cards. I’m hoping to pick up a refill or two when they become available. If you would like to start a Paper Pumpkin subscription, you can do that here. There are various types of subscriptions and you can find that info here.

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Reflection Stamp set

Good morning! ‘Tis Tuesday Dec 19… we decorated our Christmas tree last night. It has become tradition to have a couple of family members come for dinner & tree ornament placement on the tree. Hubby got up Sunday morning at 4 AM and put all the lights on – 6-7 strands worth. It is thick with lights :O) Anyway – that isn’t why you’re here. Let’s check out this new stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog…

I used Mossy Meadow as the card base, Basic White and Neutrals 6×6 DSP then stamped a Basic White panel for the top layer. The stamping used Gray Granite ink, which looks a bit soft brown & gray. It’s perfect for this ‘scene’ – it’s a woodsy shadow look that is quite peaceful. And it’s meant to be. The sentiment is also from the Quiet Reflection stamp set and it was stamped with Gray Granite ink, as I mentioned earlier. I adhered the Basic White strip to Gray Granite card stock, put dimensionals on that and attached it to the stamped panel. As a final step, I added three Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots around the tree shadow.

For the inside of the card, the sentiment from Quiet Reflection is stamped in Gray Granite ink on the Basic White panel. I added a strip of the Neutrals 6×6 DSP in Mossy Meadow to the bottom – and that was it. Love this font!!!

For the envelope – more of the Neutrals 6×6 DSP in Mossy Meadow adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. And that was it – kept very simple.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow Bundle with Merry Bold & Bright DSP

Good Monday – ’tis already Dec 18! How are you doing with shopping? I’m nearly there but not quite :O) today’s the day to finish though. I had this Merry Bold & Bright DSP on my table and decided to use it – in kind of a different way. Really I’m just playing around. And I pulled out the Garden Meadow stamp set bundle. This is a fun bundle found in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. I love the rain boots stamp & coordinating die! And I wanted to use the ‘every day is a fresh start’ sentiment. To me it indicates we can wipe the slate clean and begin again, or… pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start anew. Anyway, here’s my card.

Stampin' Up! Garden Meadow bundle with Merry Bold & Bright DSP

I also pulled out the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle to create the sentiment banner. I stamped the hexagon outline with Melon Mambo ink on a Basic White scrap, punched it out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch then stamped the sentiment in Memento ink using the Garden Meadow stamp set. I stamped the boots in Memento ink as well, but on Merry Bold & Bright DSP, then die cut it with the appropriate die – both from the Garden Meadow bundle. Then I set about making the card base: Melon Mambo 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. I created layers with Flirty Flamingo and more Merry Bold & Bright DSP, trimming each on an angleI layered them together with liquid glue. I placed the boots on dimensionals and attached them. I stamped the sweet flowers in Memento ink using the sweet stamp in Garden Meadow stamp set. I colored the flowers with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. (I should have stamped this sweet stamp in Garden Green ink!) The two layers were attached to the card base with dimensionals, then the hexagon piece was attached also with dimensionals.

For the inside… another layer of Flirty Flamingo was added to the card base. The Basic White panel was stamped first with the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink, then the basket of flowers in Memento ink. Both come from the Garden Meadow stamp set. I colored the flowers & leaves with Stampin’ Blends: Light Poppy Parade, Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Flirty Flamingo and both Dark & Light Lemon Lime Twist.

For the envelope… more of the Merry Bold & Bright DSP on the flap and the same precious basked from the Garden Meadow stamp set stamped on the front in Memento ink – same coloring as the inside basket :O). This card is being sent to a friend who is undergoing chemo treatments and needs a ‘pick-me-up’. I’m hoping this card will help.

The Merry Bold & Bright DSP is in the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog and is being discontinued. You will find it on the LAST CHANCE PRODUCT list. Speaking of which…
