Stampin’ Up! Flip Flop Fun Fold

This Hippest Hippos bundle is just too fun. The looks on their faces AND the stances – well… make really cute cards. A real pick me up if someone isn’t feeling well, or a child’s card, an anniversary. Lots of options, just your creative mind to decide how to use them. And you can get these FREE when placing an order of $100. They are from the Sale-a-bration Catalog – each come with a $50 order. So in order to get both, ypou know, order $100 worth of product! Today’s card is a ‘fun fold’ and is designated a ‘flip flop’ by one of my teammates: Rosie Kean. Thank you Rosie for this fun, fun fold!

Flip Flop Fun Fold.1

Hopefully you can see, it’s like a double card: the front is the flip of the small insert, the flop is the diagonal portion that flops back to see the inside. :O) I started with the main card base in Poll Party card stock, standard size, then made the diagonal cut from the fold to the lower right corner of the card front. Next step was the layering: Basic White and Subtles 6×6 DSP in Pool Party. It’s helpful not to use DSP that has a definitive up & down pattern, but it can be done. Because the DSP is double sided, I simply used the other side of the diagonal cut for for the inside. Of course, this requires two pieces of the DSP, the second being the inside back layer.

Flip Flop Fun Fold.3
Flip Flop Fun Fold.2

  • The next is to create the smaller card. Again, Pool Party card stock and adhered with liquid glue to the center of the inside back. Now to the fun part of creating the decorated panel.
  • Stamp the hippo in Memento ink on a Basic White piece.
  • Color the hippo with Stampin’ Blends: Light Smoky Slate and Petal Pink. I even colored the nails, ‘cuz this is a girl hippo! The flower is Light Cherry Cobbler and the leaf is Light Shaded Spruce. Die cut this hippo with the Hippo Dies, put dimensionals on the back and set aside.
  • With more of the Hippo Dies, cut the hearts from Real Red, the ground from Pear Pizzazz and the grasses from Garden Green. The little flower is die cut from So Saffron.
  • With Blending Brushes and a Basic White panel, create the sun with So Saffron ink, then add sky with Balmy Blue ink as a bottom layer, then add a bit of Pool Party ink for sky variety :O) Blend these into the sun so there isn’t a line.
  • Adhere ground, grasses and hearts with liquid glue. Add flower with a mini dimensional cut in half.
  • Add the hippo – remember it’s on dimensionals too.
  • Now stamp the sentiment in Basic Gray ink
  • Adhere this completed panel to the smaller card front.
  • Decorate with sentiment or stamping, the inside of the smaller card – on a Basic White panel. As you can see, I did not complete that panel yet – and it is not adhered in place either! This is going to a friend of mine who just had a hip replacement… too perfect with the sentiment, right?!! So I have to finish that today and get it in the mail.

Envelope… Cover the flap in more of the Subtles 6×6 DSP using Pool Party.

Stampin’ Up! Fun Fold with Caroling Mice for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! You may have come over from visiting the creative Tara Carpenter – didn’t she have something fun? OR… you may be just ‘hopping’ in :O). Whatever the case, may you enjoy the creations you see today.

Our challenge this week is ‘Critters’ and we can interpret that any way we like. I chose Caroling Mice, which is a new HOST stamp set in the July – December Mini Catalog. You should have received yours from me by now… if not and you don’t have a demonstrator, let me know!

And here’s my card. Hubby & I are in a choir and this just seemed too fun to pass up – and a Christmas card already!

Caroling Mice Z-Fold.1

The larger Z-fold card base is Garden Green, scored and with Real Red card stock added to the two end panels. The middle panel is Real Red Glimmer Paper, part of the Real Red & White 6×6 Glimmer Paper pack. The DSP adhered to the two end panels is Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 cut to size. Card cuts are at the end of this post.

The smaller z-fold is a card base of Garden Green again, but this time I used the Sweetest Christmas 12 x 12 DSP for base layers on all three panels then a stamped panel of Basic White. Of course the stamped panels are from the Caroling Mice stamp set, stamped in Memento ink for the mouse and Garden Green ink for the tree. I colored the mouse with Watercolor Pencils and used the Blender Pen to smooth the pencil lines. :O) The music notes are stamped in Memento ink & colored with the Basic Black Marker. I added Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins in both Sweet Sorbet & Garden Green to enhance those stamped panels.

To adhere the two Z-folds together, I centered the smaller Z-Fold (closed) on the largest of the large Z-fold and adhered it in place. I closed the larger Z-Fold card and adhered the smaller Z-Fold to the front panel with liquid glue just on the left portion of the smaller Z-fold. Voila! done… When the card is closed, the smaller Z-fold totally covers itself :O) See photo 1

Caroling Mice Z-Fold.2
Caroling Mice Z-Fold.3

I turned the card over and adhered another Real Red panel to the largest of the sections on the back. I stamped the three Caroling Mice in Memento ink, then VersaMark ink, then sprinkled it with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I ran it through the Stitched With Whimsy Dies to give it a fun border, then colored the singing mice with Watercolor Pencils and the Blender Pen. I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink using the Sweet Candy Cane stamp set from the same July-December Mini Catalog. I adhered this completed Basic White panel to the back of the card and my first Christmas Card of the 2022 season is done!!! Who would have guessed… here it is only Jun 16!!!

Caroling Mice Z-Fold.4

Fun card, right? The Z-fold is so easy… The main trick is centering the first panel, then the other goes on easily… bing, bang, boom.

Stampin’ Up! Book Fold w/ Easel

Hello Sunday! Oh golly – our out of state family arrives today!!! So excited, ‘cuz it’s been a while. I’ve pulled out more DSP to share – from Awash in Beauty and more Hues of Happiness. And I’ve used them on a book fold with an easel. Such a fun and easy fold to do. Plus it adds a special touch with the easel. :O)

Book Fold Easel Card.1

Photo 1 shows the card flat. Photo 2 shows the card w/ the easel. What makes it a book fold is the left part that is adhered together (see the panel?). The easel is the ‘stand-uppy’ part. :O)

Book Fold Easel Card.2

How fun is that??? I like to cut all my pieces and add them to the layering card stock, then add to the card base. So, cut the Awash in Beauty 12 x 12 DSP for the card front and adhere to the Polished Pink layer. The card base is Thick Basic White, scored at 5 1/2 then scored again at 6 3/4. Turn the card and score the right panel from corner to corner diagonally. Burnish the score lines: the 6 3/4 becomes a valley and the diagonal score becomes a mountain – as you see in photo 2. What makes it a book fold is adhering the narrow strip to itself (from the 5 1/2 to the 6 3/4 – that 1 1/4 area is adhered to the back of the card base. Now adhere the Polished Pink panels to the coordinating panels on the card base. (all card cuts are listed at the bottom of this post BTW.) With the Blossoming Happiness Dies and the Hues of Happiness 12 x 12 DSP, die cut leaves and the large rose and small rose for the inside. The Happiness Abounds Bundle (10% less when purchased as a bundle) coordinates with the Hues of Happiness DSP – intentionally, for this very purpose. It makes it so easy to add dimension and loveliness to a card. I fussy cut the blue flowers from Awash in Beauty DSP, adhered it to the back of the large rose, keeping in mind, the fold. I did the same with the die cut leaves – added them with liquid glue to the back of the rose. The rose got dimensionals just where it would attach to the easel fold, primarily the bottom half of the rose, then added it to the easel. VOILA!

Book Fold Easel Card.3

The inside is quick… adhere the Basic White panel to the Polished Pink piece, then to the inside of the card. The Rose, die cut from Hues of Happiness DSP, is attached with a couple of dimensionals so it’s raised a bit and holds the fold in place. The final touch was adding three Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the card: flower center + two more just to the left of the rose. Easy peasy, right?! Here’s another show of the easel fold.

Book Fold Easel Card.4

Ok, envelope… I embossed a Polished Pink panel with the super fun Stripes & Splatters 3D embossing folder and adhered it to the flap. Of course – I used the Splatters, as you can see. And for the envelope front, a fussy cut flower from the Awash in Beauty DSP adhered with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Simple Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi folks! It’s Thursday… and almost the weekend :O) We have family coming as it’s my hubby’s birthday on Monday… lots of cleaning & preparing goin on. So excited to see them. And the Grands (two of them anyway) will be staying for the week.YAY! Anyway.. off the subject of our blog hop. We have a sketch challenge – take a look see. You may have come from the blog of fabulous Tara Carpenter ~ welcome to my page.

And here’s my card ~ note I have turned it sideways.

Simple Fun Fold. Blog Hop 6/9.1

Sun Prints 12 x 12 DSP & Nature’s Prints stamp set are just perfect for a ‘Thinking of You’ sympathy card. I’ve used a Night of Navy card base to create this fun fold ~ 1/4 of a regular 8 1/2 x 11 – a totally flat panel. The key to this is the center ‘card’ – that’s where the fun fold comes in. The center panel is the ‘fold’The main image is stamped in Starry Sky ink on a Basic White panel using my Stamparatus, then clean the stamp and use VersaMark to over-stamp the same image in the same place, sprinkle with CLEAR embossing powder & heat set with your heat tool. This creates a beautiful shiny, elegant appearance. My next step was to use a Blending Brush and the Starry Sky ink to soften the edges of the Basic White panel. Looks similar to a shadow, doesn’t it? For more elegance, I added two Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels. This was added to the center ‘folded card’ with liquid glue. It’s just so simple & elegant ~ what a beautiful appealing look. The ‘folded card’ was added to the center of the card base – remember it’s a flat panel.

The side pieces are from the Sun Prints 12 x 12 DSP and adhered with liquid glue. (Card cuts are listed at the bottom of this post!)

Simple Fun Fold. Blog Hop 6/9 (inside)

The inside of the card… again, super simple & elegant. I adhered the same stripe from the Sun Prints 12 x 12 DSP to the bottom of the Basic White panel. I then stamped the sentiment in Starry Sky ink from the Go To Greetings stamp set. One Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels on either side of the sentiment completed the look. This panel was adhered to the inside… and done.

Simple Fun Fold. Blog Hop 6/9.3

For the envelope: another of the Sun Prints 12 x 12 DSP patterns on the flap and a stamped nature ‘staff’ from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Starry Sky ink on the front of the envelope.

So here’s a question you may be asking… why Night of Navy for the card base when everything else is Starry Sky? Good question! I wanted subtlety and since this was a sympathy card, I wanted it to not be too bright, too focused on color~ and the Night of Navy did that for me. Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Pop-Up Book Fold Card

Hello folks – it’s Thursday… and I have a fun fold card today. It’s called… Pop-Up Book Fold and it’s not as hard as you might think. As a matter of fact, I’m teaching this in my card class today. The scoring & cutting is a bit tricky for the inside and I strongly suggest looking at a video on YouTube and not just following my instructions. :O) I love this card, but I DO have to, ya know, pay attention when creating! Here’s the card…

Pop-Up Book Fold Card.1

I’ve used several products on this card… stamp sets: probably three, maybe four; Ladybug Punch (so fun!) , ribbon and embellishments, Stampin’ Blends. Layering, layering. How can we NOT do it?!

The DSP is Perfectly Penciled which I colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I could have colored the leaves but chose not to. This DSP already has some shading and I used that area for the Dark Daffodil Delight. I like how each flower is different – as they are in real life! Once colored this was layered on Basic Black. The Black & White Gingham ribbon was round around and secured in back with Stampin’ Seal. I then slipped another length under that and tied a bow, then secured it with a glue dot. I put dimensionals on the back and adhered it to the Daffodil Delight card base. I used the Charming Sentiments Bundle to create the sentiment, stamped in Memento ink and die cut with the Sentiment Silhouette Dies. I put dimensionals on the back and adhered it to a Basic Black piece die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, then adhered it with liquid glue to the card front. Then came the sweet bee – punched with the Ladybug Punch. I simply cut thin strips of Daffodil Delight scraps and added them to the Basic Black body. The wings were punched from Vellum and added with a thin strip of dimensional. I added the completed bee to the card front with dimensionals. The final touch was a single Iridescent Rhinestone Jewel on the flower just above the bee.

Pop-Up Book Fold Card.2

For the Pop-Up insert… cut the panel 8 x 5 and score at 4 on the long side. With the short side up on the paper trimmer, measure down 1″ and cut from 1″ to the 7″ mark. Turn the paper 180 degrees and do the same on the opposite side. These are the only two cuts necessary to create the pop-up book. The rest is all scoring. It might be helpful to mark with pencil all the scoring lines so you don’t goof. :O)

  • With long side at the top and the right side of the paper on the 1″ mark beyond the trimmer, score from 1″ to 4″. Move the paper to the 1 1/2″ and score again from 1″ to 4″. Turn the paper 180 degrees and do the same on the opposite side.
  • With long side at the top of the trimmer and left side of paper at the 2 1/2″ mark, score 1″ to cutting line, both top & bottom. Again turn the paper 180 degrees and do the same on the other side.
  • Burnish all score lines and fold as shown in photo below. Also, refer to photo 2.

You will notice in photo 2 that I stamped all around the score lines and I did it after all lines were done. I think I would suggest stamping the entire sheet before scoring. I think it would look pretty neat that way. The leaf stamp comes from the Abigail Rose stamp set. It seemed to look similar to me to the DSP used on the card front. I stamped in Memento Black ink.

Decorate the ‘book’… (It’s helpful to decorate the ‘book’ prior to adding the insert to the card base.) Cut two panels of Daffodil Delight 2 1/4 x 2 3/4 and adhere. Cut two panels of Basic White 2 x 2 1/2. Stamp the sentiment fromHello Ladybug stamp set in Memento ink on one panel. Stamp with the flower from Hello Ladybug stamp set in Daffodil Delight surrounding the sentiment. Then use the same stamp to cover the other panel. Create another bee using the Ladybug Punch and adhere with liquid glue to the stamped all over panel. Add this to the left ‘book’ side. Adhere the sentiment panel to the right ‘book’ side. Decorate both with Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels on various flower centers. Here’s that photo again.

Pop-Up Book Card.2

The next sorta tricky part is adhering the insert to the card base. And I should have taken a photo of this step but was too excited and didn’t do it :o(

  • With the card base flat and the insert flat as well, adhere the right side only – outer edge and to the 2 1/2″ score line top & bottom. Center it.
  • Close the card with all scoring as it should lie. Adhere the left side: outside edge and top & bottom just to the 2 12″ score lines.
  • When completed it should look like the photo below.
Pop-Up Book Fold Card.3

Such a fun fold – and not all that difficult… just need to pay attention to the score lines! I hope you try this – and share it with me when you do.

Stampin’ Up! Easy Fun Fold

Hello Saturday! I have a super easy fun fold today made with the gorgeous Awash In Beautfy DSP and the Teacup Dies.

Easy Fun Fold.1

To make this card…

  • Cut Card base (Balmy Blue) 5 1/2 x 7 and score on the long side at 4 1/4
  • Cut another piece of Balmy Blue 4 x 4 & score on one side at 1″. This becomes the fold-over flap
  • Decorate the card base front: Awash in Beauty DSP cut 2 1/2 x 5 1/4
  • Fold this area back and decorate it with another panel of Awash in Beauty 2 1/2 x 5 14 (see photo 2)
Easy Fun Fold.2
  • Cut panel of Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 for inside, stamp in Balmy Blue ink the sentiment from Cup of Tea stamp set. Add ‘fold-over flap with liquid glue, adhering close to the burnished fold line of the 4 x 4 piece, centering it. Add to inside of card.
  • Decorate fold-over flap:
    • Awash in Beauty DSP cut 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 adhered to front of flap.
    • Stamp the flower stems from Cup of Tea stamp set on a Basic White piece approx. 2 x 2 1/4 in Pear pizzazz ink. Die cut with Teacup Dies. Stamp flowers from Cup of Tea stamp set in Merry Merlot ink and die cut with Teacup Dies. Set these aside
    • Die cut tea cup from another piece of Awash in Beauty (pink)
    • Die cut decorative pattern for tea cup in Basic White & add to pink tea cup.
    • Add die cut leaves to fold-over front, then flowers, some on dimensionals some with liquid glue.
    • Add tea cup on dimensionals
    • Decorate flowers with Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Add more Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to left front of card and voila! Card is done. :O)
Easy Fun Fold.3

For the envelope, add a 2 1/4 x 6 piece of Awash in Beauty DSP to the flap; stamp the sentiment from Cup of Tea stamp set in Balmy Blue.

Easy Fun Fold.4

Here’s another photo of the card/ envelope with the card held closed.

Easy Fun Fold.5

I do hope you will try this super easy fun fold. You can change the size of the fold-over flap to make it cover more of the card front, but still maintain the 1″ score line to adhere to the Basic White panel. Instead of 4 x 4, make it 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. Let me know how either one works for you. 😀

Stampin’ Up! Double Flap Fun Fold with Abigail Rose 12 x 12

I’ve been playing with the Abigail Rose 12 x 12 DSP that coordinates with the Cottage Rose bundle (10% off when purchasing the bundle!). The bundle includes the fabulous Cottage Flowers Dies. The dies are delicate and beautiful. This DSP and fun fold were super easy to make – like two cards in one. Here’s a peek.

Double Flap Fun Fold w/ Abigail Rose.1

Here’s what it looks like in various open positions.

Double Flap Fun Fold.2
Double Flap Fun Fold.3

Isn’t this fun? Notice the beautiful floral die cut on the front of the card ~ that’s one of the coordinating dies in the Cottage Rose bundle. And the sentiment on the card front comes from the Charming Sentiment bundle and die cut with the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. The flowers were all from the Cottage Rose stamp set and colored with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. The DSP on the front is Abigail Rose 12 x 12 and colored as the stamped flowers – with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. Early Espresso ink was used for all stamping. The final addition was three Pearl Basic Jewels.

How to:

  • Prepare the card base (crumb Cake)… 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2: fold in half & burnish, fold the flap back on itself & burnish
  • Attach all card cuts to each section:
    • Basic White – 2 3/8 x 4 1/8 (2); 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
    • DSP (Abigail Rose) 2 1/2 x 4 (2 coordinating); 4 x 5 14
  • Create the flap fold of the card
    • Crumb Cake – 8 1/2 x 3 1/4, score at 4 1/4
    • Basic White – 3 1/8 x 4 1/8(3) use 2 for stamping and inside of the flap fold
    • DSP – 3 x 4 (This is the section I colored & is called the front of the flap fold)

Stampin’ Up! Gatefold Sympathy Card with Happiness Abounds

It’s still the weekend… Sunday as a matter of fact. It’s H-O-T here at the Jersey Shore… 88 yesterday & 85 in the house, cuz guess whose AC was broken. Ugh! It’s repaired now, but oh boy. Ok – to the card. It’s a beauty, at least I think so. And when I began making it, it wasn’t for anyone special. By the end of the day – it certainly was! 😞

Happiness Abounds Sympathy.1

The background paper is Waves of the Ocean, a retiring end of June DSP. The flowers were die cut directly from Hues of Happiness DSP with the Blossoming Happiness Dies. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to each rose.

Happiness Abounds Sympathy.2
Happiness Abounds Sympathy.3

Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the above two photos. I added Wink of Stella to the shaded areas only. The sentiment in the center panel comes from Inspired Thoughts stamp set. It was stamped in memento ink. I die cut the flowers for this panel, then trimmed them to use as edging pieces. I really like that added touch.

The card base is Petal Pink with a Basic White layer for many of the panels, then the Waves of the Ocean DSP. I wanted to use this particular DSP for several reasons. First it’s beautiful paper, it coordinates beautifully with the roses and I wanted to use it :O) How’s that?

A Gatefold card is really easy to do, It’s a matter of scoring the card base, then adding the layers, then the ‘gate’ panels. It’s important the ‘gate’ panels are not so wide they make it difficult to close the card. I remember my first gatefold card from a few years back… hard to open ‘cuz the ‘gates’ were too wide they kept running into each other opening or closing the card. So, look at the first photo again and notice how there is spacing between the panels. Another tip is to add the top & bottom ‘gates’ first, then the center ‘gate’ last. And you will notice, the top & bottom ‘gates’ are attached on the left fold, the center ‘gate’ is attached to the right fold. Just wanted to point that out. Let’s take a peek at the inside.

Happiness Abounds Sympathy.4

The flower on the Basic White center panel is a die cut adhered with liquid glue – and yes, it has Wink of Stella on it too. The side panels only have the DSP, not the Basic White layer. I didn’t want the added bulk. And finally the envelope… more Waves of the Ocean DSP on the flap and a stamped in Memento ink rose from Happiness Abounds Stamp set. I chose to color it with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and Granny Apple Green for the stem. No Wink of Stella on this rose, but you certainly could. I’ll list the card cuts at the end of this post.

Happiness Abounds Sympathy.5

I really like how this card turned out, and because I know to whom I’m sending it, that makes it more special. If you have any questions about making this, just give me a shout, reply to this post. As I said, measurements will be at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Up! W-V Fun Fold w/ Abstract Beauty and Butterflies

Fun Folds are just that – f-u-n to create. And this one is so easy, although it looks complicated, it isn’t. I’m continuing with a theme of sorts, Bugs or Butterflies using the Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 DSP to attract the butterflies. Let’s take a peek…

Brilliant Wings Dies & Abstract Beauty.1

Here you can easily see the W-V fold of the card and I’ve added three of the Brilliant Wings Dies in various places. Cut out of the DSP or vellum or combining the two papers, the butterflies appear almost real. Here’s another photo with the card flat.

Brilliant Wings Dies & Abstract Beauty.2

You may be saying, but there’s no place write… so flip the card over and this is the perfect place for notes.

W-V Fun Fold, back.3

Night of Navy was used for the card base, and Crushed Curry card stock to coordinate with the DSP. In these photos, it almost looks orange! On the butterflies are holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to add some glam; Basic White for the sentiments stamped in Night of Navy ink come from Artfully Layered stamp set. I embossed the Crushed Curry card stock using the Hive 3D EF prior to adhering them. Here are a few more photos… and yes, there are two cards, so you will notice the butterflies are cut from other papers in the Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 DSP pack and the envelope flaps are other papers in the pack.

This is a really fun card to make ~ let me see if I can give you some pointers for putting it together. Card cuts are listed below. One of the important parts is making certain that sentiment on the back panel is centered. I tend to use my grid paper to line things up just right.

Adhere the floral panel and the embossed pieces in the appropriate places using the photos above as your guide. Adhere the sentiment panels (the Night of Navy square) to the far right panel, again using your grid paper to make certain it is centered. The reason for this is… the V panel when the card is closed, covers this completely, so you want it just right. :O)

Adhering the V panel before decorating the card is next: lay the V panel on top of the sentiment panel, centering it. No glue at this point! Now close that inner W to see where it will ‘sit’ on the W (you are adhering the V to the fold that is closest to the flat portion of the card!); then lift the W, add a bit of glue to the V on the portion that will be adhered to the card and close that first W on the V. Once that dries sufficiently, close the card completely and fold the embossed portion of the V onto the card front panel (the floral piece). Note where that will ‘sit’, open the card and add liquid glue to that portion of the V, close the card again and adhere. Bingo! Now decorate as desired. YAY!!! You did it 😏

Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 DSP is not carrying over to the new cattie. Nor are the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Brilliant Wings Dies IS carrying over, just not in the bundle with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. Night of Navy & Crushed Curry card stocks ARE in the new cattie, as are Basic White products. Do share with me what you create with this wonderful fun fold :O).

Stampin’ Up! Easter Friends Fun Card

Hello again! It’s a cold Tuesday morning and I have a fun, quick and easy card for you today that just shouts SPRING. It’s made with the Easter Friends stamp set (the bunny) and it’s cute.

Easter Friends, front.1

I began by stamping the bunny in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White panel 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 scored at the top 1/2″ I colored his nose with a Petal Pink marker. I adhered this to a Blushing Bride piece 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, wrapping the Basic White OVER the Blushing Bride. This was attached to a panel of Crumb Cake 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I stamped the front sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White scrap and die cut it with the Tailor Made Tags dies, then took a length of the Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon and slipped it through the opening, securing the ribbon together with a glue dot. With dimensionals on the back, this was adhered to the bunny. I added Adhesive-Backed Hexagons in Blushing Bride for a bit more pink.

Easter Friends, inside.2

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set – Easter Friends, masking off a portion of the sentiment, in Crumb Cake ink. At the bottom of this Basic White panel I stamped several grasses in Granny Apple Green ink and layered them. Yep m- still Easter Friends stamp set. The white panel is 2 3/8 x 4. This was adhered to the Blushing Bride panel.

Easter Friends, back.3

Now turn the entire piece over… again with Granny Apple Green ink, I stamped the grasses, layering as I went, onto the Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4). I then stamped the frolicking duck in Crumb Cake ink. Doesn’t it look as though the duck is dancing? I adhered this to the back of the Crumb Cake and the card was done.

Easter Friends.4

For the envelope I used Subtles 6×6 DSP for the flap, trimming it to fit and stamped the baby chick in Crumb Cake ink. I colored it with So Saffron Blends – not my best! And the card is ready to send!

Easter Friends.5
