Stampin’ Up! Delicate Desert DSP Pairs with Ginkgo Branch

Good Monday morning! I hop you had a good weekend and your week is getting off to a good start. I’ve been wanting to play with the Ginkgo Branch Bundle and finally ‘took the plunge’ so to speak, and paired it with the Delicate Desert 12×12 DSP. So what happens is some interesting color combinations I would not normally put together – and I like it! The dies in this bundle are delicate and wonderful. I have used the banner die a few times and it’s a favorite.

The card base is Thick Basic White and I added a 2″ strip of Delicate Desert 12×12 DSP along the side. Next I determined the next color layer and how to contrast the pretty leaf dies of Ginkgo Branch: Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya & Petal Pink – all colors that coordinate with this stunning DSP. I stamped the background stamp for these leaves in the same colors using the Ginkgo Branch stamp set and die cut them as well, then added them to the delicate leaf die cuts with dabs of liquid glue. The 3 x 4 panel of Delicate Desert DSP was run through the Painted Texture embossing folder then layered onto a piece of Soft Succulent card stock, then the die cut pieces were attached, some with liquid glue, some with dimensionals. I added a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and tied it off with Baker’s Twine Essential Pack in White. I did unravel this twine to just two threads for a more delicate look. This panel was added to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Gingko Branch stamp set in VersaMark ink and embossed it with White Embossing Powder – on a Calypso Coral strip, then die cut it with a banner die from the Ginkgo Branch Dies. I trimmed one end to match the length of the front panel. and adhered it with dimensionals over the ribbon. As a final touch… I added the super sweet Brushed Brass Butterflies in two sizes.

For the inside… I stamped the single Ginkgo leaf from Ginkgo Branch stamp set in Pale Papaya ink, three times on a Basic White panel, then adhered this to a Calypso Coral piece and into the card. I also added an additional small Brushed Brass Butterfly.

For the envelope… three more Ginkgo leaves stamped on the front in Pale Papaya ink and a panel of the Delicate Desert 12×12 DSP on the flap, trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ Up! Dainty Flowers Cards

Good Friday morning! Are you the type that plans all kinds of activities for your weekend? I know several folks who do, but mostly we do not. About planning things though – now would be a perfect time to HOST a Stampin’ Up! event. Todays cards are a perfect example of fairly easy, beautiful cards to make for an event. Let me know how I can help you be a HOST.

These cards were made from one of the sheets of the FREE Dainty Flowers DSP . You get it with a qualified order during this time of Sale-a-bration (Jan- end of Feb). From this one sheet I made 6 cards, each with a different sentiment, background color, ribbon and embellishments. I began with a Tick Basic White card base and embossed the front with the Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder. After cutting the sheet down to the size I wanted (each is 3 3/4 x 4 3/4) they were adhered to various colors of card stock (Starry Sky, Mossy Meadow, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia and Blushing Bride). Each was stamped with the ink that coordinated with the background card stock using either Sentimental Park stamp set or Beautifully Happy stamp set. These two layers were put on dimensionals and added to the card front. Bows were next: Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon, Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon, Crinkled Seam Binding and Baker’s Twine Essential pack in white colored with Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends, Shimmer Ribbon in Gold, Fresh Freesia Open-Weave Ribbon, and Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon) ~ all added with glue dots.The last step was the various embellishments: 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots in Starry Sky and Parakeet Party, Glossy Dots Assortment in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight and finally Pastel Pearls in Fresh Freesia and Pink.

The inside of the cards were stamped on a Basic White panel in the coordinating ink colors to the card stock, using a simple flower from either Sentimental Park stamp set or the Beautifully Happy stamp set – and the same stamp was used to stamp the envelope front. You can see in this photo, these cards are all ready for mailing… quick turn around, wasn’t it? And the missing card is gone before taking a photo! Great quick project that will have those making these want to do more! 😀

Stampin Up! Fancy Flora Sympathy for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Fun sketch and pretty easy to follow. My card base is Thick Basic White with a layer of Sahara Sand angled ‘catywompas’. The top layer is the Fancy Flora 6×6 DSP, also angled. I stamped the sentiment using Soft Suede ink and the Two-Tone Flora stamp set on a Basic White piece. This was die cut with the sentiment die from Ginkgo Branch Dies. I love the detail on this die! A length of Grosgrain Ribbon in Pool Party was folded and added with Stampin’ Seal+ then dimensionals were added to the back of the sentiment & attached to the card front. Three Glossy Dots Assortment in Pool Party were attached to the sentiment.

For the inside… the flowers were stamped in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen using the Two-Tone Flora stamp set. I used a Soft Suede Marker to add some swirls. The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede using a saying from the Two-Tone Flora stamp set. The Basic White panel was added to the inside of the card and – done!

For the envelope, more of the Fancy Flora 6×6 DSP adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ Up! Sentiment Park Bundle for a Thank You

Good Wednesday morning! It’s mid-week… have you been making progress on your list? I sometimes make paper lists, but more often the list is in my head. Sometimes that’s good, sometimes not so much. This week, at least so far, I’m feeling good about what I’ve done… cleaning my craft room. My craft room has lots of other products/ projects besides Stampin’ Up!, card making, stamping, paper, etc. And that’s where my focus is ~ what am I likely to do or better yet, when did I last work with this medium? Then the questions is… what becomes of the materials? Keep? Pass on? Or do they go in the trash? Up to now it’s been mostly pass on and trash!!! But now comes the hard part… actually using or completing a project once started some time ago 😀 In the midst of decisions… I made a card for today using the wonderful new Sentimental Park Bundle and Regency Park 6×6 DSP.

Just look at this fun Regency Park 6×6 DSP… but the showstopper is the center banner – l-o-v-e! That is made with the Sentimental Park Dies. And those cute little flower die cuts? Yep – Sentimental Park Dies. The sentiment is from Sentimental Park stamp set. The ribbon is fun too, a nice accent. That is from the Real Red and Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack found in the new Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog. And the embellishments? Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots, also found in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog. Do you not have a catalog? If you do not have a demonstrator, reach out to me and we can fix that 👍

For the inside of the card, I began by stamping the floral images from Sentimental Park stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink. The sentiments are also from the Sentimental Park stamp set and stamped in Petal Pink for a nice soft contrast, but maybe are too soft as they don’t show quite enough. ugh…

For the envelope, more of the Regency Park 6×6 DSP for the flap, trimmed to fit. The flowers are from Sentimental Park stamp set – and a two-step stamp set. The filler is Petal Pink ink with the accent being Sweet Sorbet ink. Great combination!

Stampin’ Up! NEW Petal Park

Good morning friends – ’tis Tuesday and the week is moving along. I have a very layered card for you today, easy but layered. It uses the fun Regency Park 6×6 DSP, Kraft 6×6 DSP (which I don’t use much), and the Petal Park stamp set, which is new in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog.

I began by adhering a layer of Kraft 6×6 on the entire front of a Thick Basic White card base, then did lots of cutting with my Paper Trimmer. Balmy Blue & the Regency Park 6×6 DSP is the bottom layer; Balmy Blue, Kraft 6×6 & another Regency Park 6×6 DSP for the next; and finally Balmy Blue, Kraft 6×6 and Basic White stamped with the Petal Park stamp set. I used Balmy Blue ink, Night of Navy ink and Shaded Spruce ink for the leaves. This is a two-step stamp set and lining each up was really easy. With the photopolymer stamps you’re able to see the perfect place to stamp. I added a double Linen Thread bow then three Enamel Dot Essentials in Night of Navy – also a new product in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog. Card cuts will be listed at the bottom of this post.

For the inside… a layer of Kraft 6×6 DSP with Basic White over top and a thin strip of the Regency Park 6×6 DSP. For the envelope, more of the Regency Park on the flap trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ UP! Best Day Book Fold

Good Monday morning! It is Martin Luther King day. Are you working today, or is your place closed? Schools are closed here, but I do know teachers in some private schools are open. At any rate, whatever you do, may you make it a good day. My card today is made with a new stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog – called Best Day. It is so cute and I had a really playful time with color.

I focused on using several shades of blue and am really happy with the results. And the Granny Apple Green really makes everything pop. I started by stamping the image on a Basic White piece with Memento ink then got busy coloring with Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide and Pale Papaya. I even stamped the little whirlies in three of those colors. I die cut this with the largest square of the Stylish Shapes Dies. I wanted this piece on dimensionals so did that. Then came the playful layers: Textured Shimmer Paper in Balmy Blue (this is a new paper and it’s wonderful!) layered to Pacific Point. Then I pulled out the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP in Tahitian Tide and layered that on another panel of Pacific Point. My card base is Granny Apple Green and is made into a book fold: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 and again @ 4 1/2. Fold the card in half then adhere the section together between the 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 score lines ~ and the book fold is created. Now decorate by putting the layers together. What’s on dimensionals… the kitty cat of course, then also the Textured Shimmer Paper layered on the Pacific Point, that’s also on dimensionals. The final touch was Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

For the inside, again I kept that playful, colorful theme going. I stamped the image from Best Day stamp set in Memento ink then colored with Stampin’ Blends: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide and Pale Papaya. And while you can’t really tell in the photo, the cake is covered in Wink of Stella.

For the envelope… more of the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP in Tahitian Tide on the flap then I stamped the sparkles from Best Day stamp set in Tahitian Tide ink, Pale Papaya ink and Granny Apple Green ink. This card can so easily be for a child or a playful adult ~ I love it!

This stamp set is so incredibly F-U-N… who would have thought – carrots… but here I am tooting it :O) There are three sizes of carrots in this stamp set. I have only used two of these to make thus card, plus a couple of other products…

How to make…

Stamp the carrot bottoms from Thanks a Bunch stamp set in Calypso Coral ink, then the leafy tops in Mossy Meadow ink – on a Basic White panel, then die cut with Stylish Shapes Dies.
Run a piece of Pool Party through the Timber 3D embossing folder, then die cut with another of the Stylish Shapes Dies – just less than 3″
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake 3″ square and adhere Pool Party panel with liquid glue.
Cut a length of Gingham Ribbon and trim down the middle. Add to back of stamped panel with Stampin’ Seal+, then add dimensionals and attache to Pool Party & Crumb Cake panel.
Run a Basic White panel through the brand new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder – love this embossing folder!
Adhere embossed panel to Pool Party card base: 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Stamp sentiment using the Thanks a Bunch stamp set in Versa Mark ink on a Basic Black piece. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder & heat set. Die cut with Ginkgo Branch Dies – another new item! Add to card front with dimensionals, centering.
Add several Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots for charm

Stampin' Up! Thanks a Bunch card. inside

For the inside… I stamped the middle size carrot (same as the carrot on card front) using Calypso Coral ink and Thanks a Bunch stamp set, them added the longer leafy top in Mossy Meadow ink. It makes it look entirely different!Obviously this was done on a Basic White panel. That panel was adhered to a Crumb Cake piece just slightly larger, then directly to the inside of the card. Done!

For the envelope… I stamped the smallest carrot bunch from Thanks a Bunch stamp set in Calypso Coral ink all across the bottom. I added the small leafy top in Mossy Meadow ink. How cute is this!!!

Stampin’ Up! Country Floral Suite for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome, welcome! Such an exciting time with new SU! products to create and share. I’ve chosen to use products from the Country Floral Lane Suite to meet the color challenge.

And… drum roll… here’s my card:

I’ve used all new products in the Country Floral Lane Suite – and they are so F-U-N! I didn’t want a Valentine’s card, but I DID want hearts & friendship & bicycles. The items in this suite of products include: County Bouquet Bundle (includes punch), Real Red and Burlap Ribbon pack, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins (Gold, Petal Pink & Balmy Blue – I used all 3!), Country Gingham 6×6 DSP and Country Floral Lane 12×12 DSP. What an awesome combination of products. I love the plaid of the Country Gingham 6×6 DSP,; love the fact the punch is not a quite a traditional shape; love the ribbon pack as well ~ what’s not to love about this suite?! The hearts along the Real Red Ribbon are on dimensionals; then sequins added to the DSP. The linen thread was added with a glue dot and really add a fun flare to this card (at least to me it does!)

For the inside… I adhered a strip of the Country Floral Lane 12×12 DSP to the edge of a Basic White panel, then stamped the sentiment from Country Bouquet stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink, then added the punched hearts & leaves using the Country Bouquet Punch along with the Country Gingham 6×6 DSP. This panel was adhered to the inside of the card and – done!

The envelope was easy peasy… more of the Country Floral 12×12 DSP to the envelope flap and stamped hearts in Sweet Sorbet ink using the Country Bouquet stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Layering Favored Flowers

Good Monday morning! I’ve another ‘take’ on yesterday’s card using another sheet of the Favored Flowers DSP. And, you know, it’s FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration (Jan-Feb 28,2023).

This paper is just gorgeous and I’m having trouble moving on to something else 🥴 For today’s card I’m doing a tent fold, meaning the card folds from the top in lieu of from the left. Evening Evergreen card stock is the card base with a layer of Petal Pink adhered directly to it. I then took a panel of Favored Flowers 4 x 5 1😀/4 and with the 4th largest rectangle of the Stitched Rectangles Dies, die cut the center. I adhered the larger layer to the card. I layered that center panel on another piece of Petal Pink, slipped a scrap of card stock behind it to give it some height, wrapped the Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon around and tied a knot. I adhered this over the card front and matched the flowers so they looked like a continuation of the back panel – which they are! I stamped the sentiment from Dainty Flowers stamp set (new in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog!). I die cut this with the Stylish Shapes Dies and adheres it over the ribbon with dimensionals. And the card front was done.

For the inside: I took a piece of Basic White and adhered it to a panel of Petal Pink and added both to the inside of the card. I had this wonderful scrap of Favored Flowers DSP so added it over those ~ and the inside was done…

For the envelope I used the same Favored Flowers DSP but used a Petal Pink pattern that coordinated, then fussy cut a flower from a scrap of the card front DSP pattern and adhered it in place. So simple, so elegant, so quick & easy. I’ve made several of these & sent them out with the catalogs, so if you haven’t received your catalogs yet and don’t have a demonstrator, give me a shout!

Stampin’ Up! Favored Flowers and Something Fancy Bundle

Good Wednesday morning! Thank you to those who placed orders for the Paper Share! There are some beautiful ones AGAIN! And I’m showcasing a FREEBIE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration which begins…n TOMORROW, wheee. I happen to have a thing about notebooks. I like to carry one in my purse to make notes about, well, anything 😀 And I like to have them available to give away. So today I’m featuring these beauties.

Aren’t these stunning papers? The colors here are Calypso Coral, Basic Black and Evening Evergreen & Petal Pink. I used various ribbons to use as a page marker: Open Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen, White Glittered Organdy, &White 3/4″ Frayed Ribbon. I’ve also used Something Fancy stamp set for the sentiments stamped in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the coordinating Something Fancy Dies. I really like how these dies have a ‘nesting’ capability – meaning same shape but slightly larger. To create the background for the sentiment I used the larger die and cut from the same paper, just the reverse side. On the far right notebook, that background was die cut from Calypso Coral. Embellishments used on the sentiments were Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls (soon to retire – like end of day TODAY – and the Iridescent Pastel Gems from the new Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog.
