Stampin’ Up! Center Step Fold Card with One Horse Open Sleigh DSP

Good Monday morning. I’ve been playing with an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE product, part of the One Horse Open Sleigh suite. I wanted to create another ‘scene’ kind of card and had not done this Center Step fun fold in a while – and thought, why not?

Stampin' Up! One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, Center Step fold

The card base is Boho Blue, mats are Misty Moonlight. The DSP layers are from the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP pack, and I used a couple of different ones which you’ll see as you look at photos. The very fun snowflakes are from this suite of products and they are Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment in copper, gold and white. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center of each snowflake. The ribbon is Night of Navy 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon. It’s best to add the layers to the card base prior to adding the center step fold.

I began by cutting my DSP center step panel as the focus of the card, adhered it to the mat for that panel and the mat to the center step. (HINT: I cut my DSP piece at 4″ , cut the focus panel out and used each remaining side piece for the side panels, trimmed to proper size.)

Center step base:
- Boho Blue, 3 x 6 and scored at 4 1/4 on the long side
Center step mat:
- Misty Moonlight 2 7/8 x 4 1/8
Center step DSP:
- 2 3/4 x 4

Create the card base: Boho Blue 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score @ 3, 6, and 7. Burnish with 3″ score line as a mountain fold, the 6″ score as a valley fold and the 7″ score another mountain.

Attach side panels on middle section allowing for narrow edge (1/16″):

Misty Moonlight mat 2 7/8 x 1 1/8 (Cut 2)
DSP 2 3/4 x 1 (Cut 2, using the remaining pieces from the initial removal of the focal panel; one from each side piece so the flow of the design carries to both sides. :O)

Add inside pieces. This is where you write your message :O)

Basic White 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 (I added a strip of the DSP 5/8 x 2 7/8 and a copper Adhesive-Backed Snowflake & Rhinestone Basic Jewel)

Add center step fold (the 6 x 3 scored piece) to the very bottom of the card front, but do not attach the back of this panel just yet. Add bottom side panels to either side.

Misty Moonlight mat 1 1/8 x 1 3/8 (cut 2)
DSP 1 x 1 1/4
Wrap with ribbon (Night of navy 3/8 Border Ribbon) and adhere in back with glue dot.
Slip another length under the front piece and tie a knot; adhere at knot with glue dot; trim ends

Close card with center step fold folded over and laying on back of card. Add glue to adhere to card back. (I added liquid glue at the edge of the fold of the card back and at the end of the center step fold back.)

Add DSP 2 3/4 x 5 1/4

For the envelope, I added more of the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP to the flap, trimmed to fit and that was it, no extra pattern or stamp on the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Bird’s Eye View Double Po-Up Card

Hello – it’s Friday and I have a fun fold for you today… a Double Pop-Up Card that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers. You can go to YouTube for a video. This fun fold intrigued me and I simply had to make it. We made this card in my card class a bit ago and everyone had a REALLY good time :O)

Stampin' Up! Birds Eye View Double Pop-Up Card

These little birds are so stinkin’ cute! And I love them with glasses, which is a stamp in the set :O)

I used Stampin’ Blends to color everything: on the front – Daffodil Delight for the bird, S300 & S400 for the Branch, Old Olive for the leaves and I fussy cut them. The sentiment on the front comes from Cheerful Daisies stamp set and stamped in Basic Gray on Basic White card stock, die cut with Cheerful Daisies Dies. It was adhered with dimensionals to an Old Olive piece die cut with Deckled Rectangles Dies and adhered with liquid glue to the card front. Tinsel Gems 4 pack in Berry Burst were added for sparkle & glam.

Delightfully Eclectic was my choice of DSP and I used Old Olive for all the constructive parts. Let me walk you through this card, cuz it’s a fun one. You do need to pay attention to measurements and score lines. :O)

Measurements & detail:

Card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Lightly mark the center of the score line @ 2 3/4
- Cut DSP for inside back: 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and adhere to inside back
Cut panel 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, score @ 3, burnish
- cut DSP to decorate: 5 3/8 x 2 7/8 (left inside section); 5 3/8 x 2 3/8 (right inside section)
- stamp or decorate as desired (this is a thick card, so I
- highly recommend only stamping)
- add to inside of card base with front edges even with one another – see photo

You can see I colored here again… Stampin’ Blends Daffodil Delight for the birds; books are Copper Clay, Pebbled Path, and Pecan Pie. For the book edges I used Light Smoky Slate.

Adhere panel 5 1/4 x 4 of Designer Series Paper Delightfully Eclectic to the inside back panel.

Mechanism: 5 3/8 x 2 3/8 scored @ 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 3 3/4 & 5; burnish
- With 1/2″ end on left, lightly draw lines from first score line to 3rd score line, diagonally to create an X
- score over these lines, erase pencil marks and burnish
- add Tear n tape to the 1/2″ end
- at opposite end of mechanism, add liquid adhesive and adhere to inside card base, left side, centering with score line and pencil mark. You do not want to interfere with the fold, so butt it up against the centerfold

Decorated squares of pop-up:

Cut 2 panels 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 same color as card base. Here it is Old Olive.
Cut 2 panel 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 from Basic White or patterned paper. I chose Basic White and stamped, colored the 2 squares
- top square is colored with Daffodil Delight. The ‘branch’ is a die cut from Cheerful Daisies Dies that is really a stem. But cut in Early Espresso it looks like a branch – and is adhered with liquid glue.
- bottom square is all over stamped eye glasses from the Birds Eye View stamp set.
Add these two squares together then to mechanism. Notice how they are separated about 1/4″ This is so they do not interfere in the opening and closing of the card. When the card is closed these pop-ups simply fold right into the card. :O)

For the envelope… I added more of the stripe from Delightfully Eclectic to flap and trimmed it to fit. For the envelope front I stamped this cute bird from Birds Eye View in Basic Gray ink and colored it with Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends. Gads – no photo! What the heck…

Stampin’ Up! Circle Sayings on a Notecard

The size of a notecard is 3 1/2 x 5 and is simply a sweet size. And, it is not too small to be mailed. My card today is made with one of the Basic White Notecards and Envelopes.

I began by stamping this cute cupcake from Circle Sayings stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and coloring it with Stampin’ Blends Bubble Bath for the icing and Light Smoky Slate for the wrap, I wanted it to look like a foil so added Wink of Stella for the shine. It doesn’t show in the photo but it does in person :O) I stamped the ‘circle saying’ in Crumb Cake as well and die cut with a circle from Sylish Shapes Dies. For more sparkle (cuz birthdays are special occasions) I die cut a larger circle from Soft Shimmer paper in Bubble Bath – yep, Stylish Shapes Dies. I added a bow made from the Simply Elegant Trim in silver and attached it with a glue dot. This item I set aside.

On a piece of Crumb Cake I stamped repeatedly the words Happy Birthday using a stamp from Go To Greetings – in Crumb Cake ink. I attached the stamped and decorated circle with dimensionals. I cut small strips of the same Soft Glimmer paper in Bubble Bath and attached them to the Notecard front, then added the Crumb Cake panel. The Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink seemed to match pretty well, so I added those as well.

For the inside… I used Bubble Bath ink and Crumb Cake ink to stamp sentiments from Circle Sayings stamp set on a Basic White piece. This was added to a very slightly larger panel of Crumb Cake and added to the inside of the card.

For the envelope I used another sentiment from Go To Greetings stamp set to stamp in Crumb Cake ink – and that was it. I kept it very simple.

Stampin’ Up! Earthen Textures Thank You

Wow! Did you see fireworks last night? Were they spectacular or what?! Hope everyone is safe… I have a quick and easy card for you today made with the Earthen Textures DSP, a die from Cheerful Daisy Dies that seems to coordinate well , and Gorgeously Made stamp set for the sentiment and a fun decorative stamp for the inside and the envelope. I also brought in a die from the Timeless Arrangement Dies for the sentiment.

Isn’t this pretty DSP? It looks a bit like sea grass to me. And because of that I pulled this fun die from Cheerful Daisies Dies to accent. Those die cuts are from Copper Clay and Gray Granite. I layered the Earthen Textures DSP to a Gray Granite panel just slightly larger, then with dimensionals added it to a Copper Clay card base. The sentiment is from the Gorgeously Made stamp set stamped in Copper Clay ink on a Basic White piece. This was die cut with a die from Timeless Arrangements Dies and added with dimensionals over the ‘sea grass’ die cuts.

For the inside I looked for a stamp that simulated the DSP on the card front and found this stamp from Gorgeously Made stamp set – and stamped it with Copper Clay ink on the Basic White panel. This piece was attached to a Gray Granite panel slightly larger, then directly to the inside of the card base. DONE!

For the envelope… The same stamp was used for the envelope front as the inside of the card, from Gorgeously Made stamp set. Another swatch of the Earthen Textures DSP was added to the envelope – and this card is ready.

Stampin’ Up! Jodi’s Off-Set Gate Fold Card

Hello Saturday! I’m heading home today after being with Grands for several days. It was extra nice being with them. Yesterday’s card featured grandson Dan’s card that he made. Today’s card features Jodi’s card. :O)

Stampin' Up! Masterfully Made Gate fold card

Off-set gate fold simply means one folded side is larger than the other, which is kind of obvious here. It could use a belly band but it does not have one. The colors in this DSP are so vibrant and funky fun. The card base is Thick Basic White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 1 3/4 & 6. Fold both to the front and they match nicely. Cover the two fronts in DSP so the pattern flows from one to the other. Stamp the sentiment in Memento ink on a Basic White piece using the Layering Leaves stamp set and die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies. Attach to the right side of the fold with dimensionals. Add Glossy Dots Assortment in Gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo – Jodi’s choice!

For the inside of the card, more of the same Masterfully Made DSP on each side panel. For the middle panel, Basic White 4 x 5 3/8, the stamped sentiment is from Layering Leaves in Memento ink. The sweet flower is from Textured Floral stamp set and stamped in Daffodil Delight. Adhere panel to inside of card and done, done.

Stampin’ Up! Paper Florist Dies Hello card

Hello this shiny bright Tuesday! I have a really pretty card for you today, made with the Paper Florist Dies. This is a stand alone die set that allows you to create all KINDS of flowers your imagination can envision. And there are three leaf dies as well. Let’s take a peek at this fun card.

This card uses a couple of new products in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog: Pebbled Path card stock for the card base; an embossed layer using the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, and a returning color to the palette – Pretty Peacock. The other colors used to make these creations are Pool Party, Crushed Curry, Basic White and Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Embellishments used were Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink & Balmy Blue and Linen Thread doubled and made into a bow.

Since this is a stand alone set of floral and leaf dies, the sentiment comes from the Cheerful Daisy stamp set and was die cut with a banner die from the Cheerful Daisy Dies. This was stamped using Smoky Slate ink on a Basic White panel. I’m trying to keep my sentiment stamping to a bare minimum as I’m away and FORGOT MY ACRYLIC BLOCKS. Go figure… don’t even ask how I could forget them. I just did.

For the inside, I die cut the tulips in two parts: Basic White for the flower and Garden Green for the stems. These were adhered to a Basic White panel and attached to the inside of the card. The simplicity comparison with the card front is quite a contrast. I hope you like…

All flowers were attached to the card base with liquid glue. As you can see, some of the petals are curled up and some are curled downwards – as in the Pretty Peacock flower. The white daisy like flower has many layers. I just kept adding petals until I was happy with the look.

I’m afraid there is no envelope.. forgot to bring those with me as well. I’ll have to remedy that situation when I return home. For now I’m where I’m supposed to be and I have no regrets.

Men and women gave their lives that we might be free ~ free to practice our faith, free to speak out, etc and etc. The list is pretty long of the freedoms we have that other countries do not. Thank you to those who served both us and our country ~ for your dedication, for your strength of character, for your willingness. Bless you. I am so very grateful.

My card today is a fun fold and could be used for graduation, a birthday, a job promotion, for just about any type of celebration. It includes a place for a gift card or money or an additional note.too.

Stampin' Up! Bright & Beautiful Gift Card

What a fun card to create. My juices were flowing. This card has three layers: card base, middle layer and the top decorated layer. I began with a card base of Azure Afternoon (what a beautiful shade of blue.) After scoring and burnishing, I punched the top two corners for a different look, using the Very Best Trio Punch. I added a layer of Blueberry Bushel to each of the three panels. The next layer is Bright & Beautiful 6×6 DSP on the top & bottom panels. For the center panel, I stamped with Azure Afternoon ink on a Basic White panel using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. Next I attached an adhesive sheet to a small piece of the Bright & Beautiful DSP (part of the DSP Sale June 1!!!), removed the top of the adhesive sheet and added a piece of the Gold Celebrations Acetate. I die cut two balloons and a piece for the card holder. That acetate really added something special to the card! I added the smaller balloon to the center panel then added a length of the Simply Elegant trim in gold and adhered the Basic White panel to the center. The larger balloon was put on dimensionals and I added a bit of a tassel die cut from Gold Foil Sheets and attached these to the upper panel. I used the Radiating Stitches Dies to die cut a circle, then stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Azure Afternoon ink. I used the 1 3/4 circle punch (from SU! ONLINE EXCLUSIVES) to punch an Azure Afternoon circle and adhered the two circles together. I added a Textured Ribbon in Wild Wheat to the top panel and placed the circle over (yep, it is on dimensionals as well.

For the bottom panel, I had added the Gold Celebrations Acetate to a Bright & Beautiful piece, then added the Tear n’ Tape to the sides and bottom and attached it to the card. And the card is done! Whoops – not quite… the ribbon at top… I punched an oblong opening using the Very Best Trio Punch, slipped another length of Textured Ribbon in Wild Wheat and tied it with a piece of Simply Elegant Trim in Gold.

Stampin’ Up! Showing off Embossing Folder Card

Good Monday morning! Have your recuperated yet from the time change? I’m so wishing it would come to an end… just sayin’. My card today is to show off three embossing folders that are part of the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES Stampin’ Up! has in their online store. This is a new program – the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES and new products will be shared March, July & November. They are products that will never be shown in a catalog and may or may not be replenished. Confusing? Well somewhat. But the thing is – if you like it, get it right away so you have it to use and you won’t regret if it sells out and doesn’t return.

Stampin'n Up! Embossing Folders from ONLINE EXCLUSIVES

What I like about this card is the simplicity of the layout, the bright colors and the showing off of the embossing folders, texture. I also like the oval ‘cuz it balances out the other shapes shown in the DSP and the embossing folders. About the embossing folders: flowers, thumbnail glass dots & cross hatch – these are the designs they create.

This IS a colorful card! The background is a layer of the Brights 6×6 DSP in Granny Apple Green. Love the plaid!!! And it’s adhered to a Granny Apple
Green card base. The embossing folders come as a set of three (3) from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES as I mentioned before. And I wanted to really showcase these folders – they have fun shapes and create lots of opportunity for use. These were run through the Cut & Emboss machine with 4 x 5 1/4 card stock, then cut down for use on this card. These were adhered to a Tahitian Tide panel and that was added to the card front with dimensionals. The ribbon is a two-in-one… I created this by putting a strip of tear & tape on the burlap ribbon (from Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo pack) and adding two lengths of Metallic Woven Ribbon in Parakeet Party on the tear & tape. The oval is a die cut from Fabulous Frames Dies, stamped in Tahitian Tide ink using the Sentimental Park stamp set. The cross-hatch also comes from that stamp set & uses Granny Apple Green ink. The embellishments are the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots in Tahitian Tide.

The inside of the card is a simple cross hatch from the Sentimental Park stamp set, stamped in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. I need room for my special thanks to this person!

Stampin' Up! EMBOSSING FOLDER show off card & envelope

The envelope has more cross hatching in Granny Apple Green ink from Sentimental Park stamp set, and the flap has a panel of Brights 6×6 DSP in Granny Apple Green. Talk about a cheerful card! This could easily be a birthday card… just change the sentiment banner 😀

Stampin’ Up! Irresistible Blooms

Good Saturday! I have a beautiful new bundle I worked with – an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE that I tried resisting, and couldn’t. 😀 It is stunning! It is called – of all things – Irresistible Blooms Suite and what comes in the suite is: stamp set, coordinating dies, gorgeous 6×6 DSP and Loose Frosted Dots in three colors. An older color is coming back – Lost Lagoon – and that shows in these papers. Another cool thing is the dies die cut the two sizes of flowers in the DSP as well as three leaf shapes. I’ve created a very feminine card with this suite. Let’s take a peek.

See that stunning flower? It’s die cut from one of the papers! And see the leaves under the flower and under the sentiment? Those are also die cut from the DSP. And isn’t that wreath fun? It’s one of the dies as well. The DSP under it all is one of the papers in the pack. It has these cute little bubbles same as the wreath. And see the Loose Frosted Dots? The Petal Pink ones are on the banner while the Soft Seafoam are in the wreath – and notice, three sizes too. They adhere with a tiny dot of adhesive. The sentiment is from the stamp set, stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink , a coordinating color of the DSP, and die cut with the smallest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. The bow is Sating Edge Ribbon with Gold and added with a glue dot. I don’t know if you can see it in the photo, but I added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the flower on several of the white sections.

The inside of the card is every bit as feminine: more of the DSP on the bottom of the white panel, a smaller die cut flower from the paper, three small leaves die cut as well. The Basic White panel overlays a Flirty Flamingo panel, same as the front, and adhered to the Thick Basic White card base.

The DSP on the envelope flap is the back side of the DSP on the card front. I used the entire 6×6 sheet on this card! I was hoping you could see the Crystal Effects, but it doesn’t really show. Oh well… This suite of products will be available on March 1 and I encourage you get it! You will not regret the purchase.
