Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature Bundle for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and that means a whole host of creations by this extra special team of crafters. Thanks for joining on this Blog Hop. Our theme today is love – to be interpreted individually. Does that mean hearts to you, or showing appreciation or gratitude? Whatever it is – you will see a variety on today’s hop. Mine is sharing praise and being thankful for others kind of card using the Notes of Nature Bundle.

Stampin' Up! Love Challenge for the hop
Stampin' Up! Notes of Nature Congratulations. Thu hop. 1/25

I used some fun products on this card – the Notes of Nature bundle and the Lovely & Sweet stamp set. These can be found on pages 40-43 in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. From the suite of products shown on those pages, I also used the Nature’s Sweetness 12×12 SDSP and the Adhesive-Backed Cork Dots. I din’t think I would like these – but I DO!. I used the fun die cut from Notes of Nature Dies to die cut from Vellum Basics SDSP the long leaf die. I continued to die cut from that same Vellum Basics SDSP and the Notes of Nature Dies, various leaf patterns. I also die cut from the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP, the gold leaves shown under the sentiment.. Once those were all die cut, I began assembling the card… Thick Basic White for the card base, the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP cut to cover the card front.. I then cut the next layer of Nature’s Sweetness SDSP to about 2 1/2 & 5 1/2. I cut two strips of Pebbled Path card stock about 14″ x 5 12 and adhered it to the back of the Pebbled Path SDSP, then attached it directly to the card base. I added the vellum die cuts with glue dots, then the 1/4″ strip of Pecan Pie card stock at an angle. the gold leaf was attached with dimensionals. The sentiment comes from Lovely & Sweet stamp set (page 42) and is stamped in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White scrap, then attached with dimensionals at each end. I added the Adhesive-Backed Cork Dots for texture – and love the effect!

For the inside… I stamped the cross-hatch pattern using the Lovely & Sweet stamp set & Pebbled Path ink; then stamped the sentiment from Lovely & Sweet stamp set in Pecan Pie ink. This Basic White panel was adhered to the inside of the card – and sending love & congratulations all at once.

Stampin' Up! Nature's Sweetness Suite card & envelope

For the envelope… more of the Pebbled Path pattern from Nature’s Sweetness 12×12 SDSP on the flap, trimmed to fit. Then I stamped the fun image from Lovely & Sweet stamp set in Pebbled Path ink – and done. I really like this card and am so pleased with the finished product. Love in action in a congratulations card!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Sweetness Suite Notebook Cover

Good Wednesday – midweek and I hope it’s going well. Our snow is almost gone but it is still quite cold out. We had a gloriously sunny day yesterday. Ok – doubt you need to hear all that – let’s see what we worked on…

Stampin' Up! Nature's Sweetness Suite Notebook Cover

This is a new suite of products for me – sort of first time playing – and I love this suite! It’s called Nature’s Sweetness Suite. This suite will make marvelous masculine cards, but also can be more feminine. I used the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog for a bit of inspiration – pages 40-43 and this notebook right at my fingertips. It was a bonus for attending OnStage@ Home convention this just fancied it up a bit. One of the things I like to do is use product on items I use at home all the time – like notebooks. They become less ordinary and inspire me in different way.s. I decorate Composition Notebooks all the time and give them away. Folks use them for journaling or note-taking and seem to enjoy a little special notebook. This one is for me :O) and I loved working with the stamps, dies, Fancy Leather Trim and the Adhesive-Backed Cork Dots. The Designer Series Paper – Nature’s Sweetness SDSP – is just gorgeous. What makes it special – patterns of gold on one side!!!

For this project I’m not going to give measurements as the notebook you use is probably going to be different. I used two of the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP for the front, then pulled out the stamps & dies from the two sets in the suite: Notes of Nature stamp set and Notes of Nature Dies + Lovely & Sweet stamp set and it’s coordinating Lovely & Sweet Dies. I also pulled out the Vellum Basic SDSP to do the long leaf die cut – Notes of Nature Bundle. It has such wonderful detail! I also die cut some leaves from Pebbled Path card stock – in keeping with the colors of the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP. I stamped the very front image using Pecan Pie ink – and the stamp & die from the Lovely & Sweet Bundle. Please note the tabs on the side of the notebook – so fun… they are die cut using a die from the Notes of Nature Dies! LOVE that I can do this too. The tabs were die cut from scraps of the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP. I backed each one with Basic White card stock for strength.

Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dogwood Hello Card

Good morning! Another day, another week :O) and just a bit longer days – yay! I have this super sweet Detailed Dogwood stamp that is a free item as part of the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration. Let’s look…

Stampin' Up! Detailed Dogwood Hello card, front

To know what size Basic White for the very front of the card, I started by die cutting a frame with the Perennial Postage Dies. The Old Olive layer was determined after coloring the dogwood. I stamped the dogwood in Memento ink on a 2 7/8 x 4 1/8 panel and colored it with Stampin’ Blends Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Old Olive. The sentiment is stamped in Memento ink from Softly Sophisticated stamp set – another FREE ITEM as part of Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration. I then adhered it to an Old Olive panel 3 x 4 1/4, then to the Perennial Postage die cut frame. I ran a Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4) through the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that to a Thick Basic White card base (4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2). As a final touch, I added three Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink. This card has a very feminine & friendly look.

Stampin' Up! Detailed Dogwood Hello card inside

For the inside… anopther image from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set was stamped in Memento ink on the Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4). Again, it was colored in Stampin’ Blends Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Old Olive. This was adhered to an Old Olive piece slightly larger and into the inside of the card. Love the softness.

Stampin' Up! Detailed Dogwood Hello card & envelope
Stampin' Up! Detailed Dogwood Hello card & envelope back

Using yet another stamp in this Detailed Dogwood stamp set, I stamped the dragonfly in Memento ink, both on the envelope front & envelope back.

The Detailed Dogwood stamp is a FREE ITEM during Sale-a-Bration with a qualified purchase.

Stampin’ Up! Doggone Friends Note

I had such fun working on this card. For one thing, I’m a dog lover and this stamp, Doggone Friends, just makes me smile. It’s single large stamp in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. I used the Notes of Nature stamp set (also from that catalog) to create the sentiment and taped off a portion to use just the part I needed.

Stampin' Up! Doggone Friends card front

Here’s the scoop:

  • * Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
  • * Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 run through the Basics 3D embossing Folder (ONLINE EXCLUSIVE), Cross Hatch – adhere to card base front
  • * Stamp Doggone Friends image on Basic White with Memento ink; trim to 2 3/4 x 4 1/4
  • * Add stamped image to Crumb Cake card stock – 2 7/8 x 4 3/8; then to Basic Black card stock 3 x 4 1/2
  • * Wrap with Black Twine from Basic Twine Essentials Pack, twice around and tie bow. Secure bow with glue dot.
  • * Add these to card front with dimensionals.
  • * Using 2″ Circle Punch (ONLINE EXCLUSIVE), punch a Vellum circle; add over twine with mini dimensionals
  • * Stamp sentiment from Notes of Nature stamp set in Memento ink, taping off the rest of the sentiment. Adhere to Vellum with Stasmpin’ Seal
  • * Add Classic Matte Dots for embellishment
Stampin' Up! Doggone Friends card, inside

For the inside…Trim remaining piece from original stamping to fit Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4). Mine is about 1 1/4 as I wanted full dog faces to show!

Stampin' Up! Doggone Friends card & envelope

For the envelope… A bit of Zany Zoo DSP for the envelope as I wanted to stick with the black & white idea :O) For the front, I cut another section of the remaining stamped piece of Doggone Friends for the card front and adhered it in place with Stampin’ Seal. And that was it! I LOVE THIS CARD!!!! It’s friendly, can be used for a man or woman and for all kinds of occasions. The other part is, change the colors, use just about any DSP in lieu of the stamped panel, use ribbon instead of twine. It’s a fabulous layout.

To get your hands on this stamp and the sentiment stamp set, click here to order from me and the Jan-April 2024 Mini Catalog. The Basics 3D embossing folders (set of 3) and the 2″ Circle Punch are from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES and can be added to your order here. The Thick Basic White, Basic White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake card stocks, Vellum, Memento ink, Classic Matte Dots and Basic Twine Essentials Pack are from the 2023-2024 Annual Cataloghere.

Stampin’ Up! January Paper Pumpkin – Lovely Lavender

Good Saturday – we have a simply gorgeous snow-covered landscape this morning. Photos never do it justice. Some of my favorites are the trees with snow on every branch, glistening and sparkling. Nature is amazing.

My January Paper Pumpkin arrived yesterday and I couldn’t wait to put it together. The patterns coordinate with the Perennial Lavender suite of products. I did NOT, however, use any of those – these were gorgeous all by themselves. What it makes is four gift tags (which can easily be made into cards if needed – and I might), and eight cards, 4 of each design.

Stampin' Up! January Paper Pumpkin, tags
Stampin' Up! January Paper Pumpkin, card 1
Stampin' Up! Januaary Paper Pumpkin, card 2

Aren’t the colors wonderful? Notice the card next to the tags… it has an opening – that’s where the tag came from! Clever, right? And everything comes in the kit: glue dots, dimensionals, linen thread, stamp set, ink spot – and all the pieces/ parts to make both tags & cards. Oh, and did I mention envelopes? These envelopes are decorated on the inside and perfect for cutting open and using in some way. I confess, while I did make all four tags, I only made twocards of each design, with the intention of doing something with the envelopes. :O)

Stampin' Up! January Paper Pumpkin, card 1 w/ envelope
Stampin' Up! January Paper Pumpkin Card 2 w/ envelope

Notice in the card at left how the background coordinates with the envelope. Stampin’ Up! does a great job of coordinating everything in these kits! In case you are interested in purchasing a subscription, I’ll provide that link so you can learn more – right here. What’s nice is you can get a one time PP, a 3 month subscription, a 6 month or a 12 month subscription. In the very first kit, there is an acrylic block just the right size for any Paper Pumpkin kit. And the kits come with picture directions on how they recommend putting them together and they offer a couple of alternative suggestions too.

Putting this kit together did not require any additional products, however I want to encourage you to check out the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog along with the Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration Catalog that offers FREE PRODUCT incentives in $50 increments. Click the images below to see the products in those catalogs.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions with Gold Foiled Flowers and Envelopes

Good Friday morning – end of work week for some. We are getting snow here and schools are closed. It will be interesting to see how much snow we really get – predicted 3″-5″. It’s coming down rather steadily already :O)

My card today uses the Gold Foiled Flowers and Envelopes – so pretty! I couldn’t leave it alone though – it called for coloring.

Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flowers & Envelopes card front

I pulled out my Stampin’ Blends and had a good time: Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Orchid Oasis, Soft Sea Foam, Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive & SU 500. When using Stampin’ Blends, remember the color bleeds through to the other side. Often that is covered in some way, but here I left the ‘bleeding’ to show and it creates a rather fun pattern – it adds to the card.

Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flowers & Envelopes, inside

On the card front, I used the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set and VersaMark ink to stamp the sentiment on Very Vanilla scrap, added Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I die cut this with a die from Thoughtful Expressions Dies. I added a bit of ribbon from the Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack in Bubble Bath with Stampin’ Seal with the sentiment being added over top with dimensionals.. The final touch was three Iridescent Foil Gems.

Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flowers & Envelopes, inside w/ panel

For the inside… I stamped the sweet flower stamp from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Basic White panel, then colored it with Stampin’ Blends Light Granny Apple Green and Dark Daffodil Delight. This panel was added to the inside with liquid glue. The envelope was so lovely by itself I decided not to do any additional decorating.

Stampin' Up! Gold Foiled Flowers & Envelopes

The Gold Flowered Cards & Envelopes may be found on page 15 in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog; the Iridescent Foil Gems on page 49 and Thoughtful Expressions Bundle page 62, part of the Poetic Expressions Suite – all same catalog! The Stampin’ Blends may be found in the 2023-2024 Annual catalog, along with card stock and adhesives, die cut machine – all kinds of goodies there.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Expressions Bundle for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to Thursday – and another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have new products to share and lots of fun creations.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Hop Sketch Challenge

The Thoughtful Expressions bundle is part of the Poetic Expressions Suite of products found on pages 60-62 in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. It is extraordinary in the number of dies included and the beautiful stamp set and Designer Series Paper. This is a not to be missed suite! The fun patterns of the ‘sort of’ circle die is just super sweet and there are LOTS of them. Here’s how I put this card together. I chose the Boho Blue pattern in the Poetic Expressions 12×12 DSP then a die that incorporated the design I wanted to highlight. For the background pattern, I simply chose another that coordinated from the same Poetic Expressions 12×12 DSP. In this same die set – Thoughtful Expressions Dies – is what I’m calling a ‘banner’ die, also of various sizes. I chose one that seemed right for the blue die cut and elongated it by die cutting only a portion of the paper, then moved the top die cutting plate and lined the die up as closely as I could and made it longer. I die cut this wonderful open flower, twice, from Basic White, then the leaves from Mossy Meadow card stock (again, cut 2). I wanted a background embossing folder & chose one of my ‘favs’ `~ Basics 3D Embossing Folder called Cross Hatch from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. (It really comes with a set of 3, each different). That embossed Boho Blue panel was adhered directly to the card base of Boho Blue. The ‘banner’ die was adhered to that and the fancy circle die cut was adhered with dimensionals. The leaves were slipped under the corners and each attached with a glue dot. The die cut flowers were added with a mini dimensional and a 2023-2025 In Color Dots in Boho Blue were added to each flower center. The sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set – stamped in Boho Blue on a Basic White strip and cut apart. The word ‘enjoy’ was fussy cut around to give it some charm and added with dimensionals. More of the 2023-2025 In Color Dots in Boho Blue were added – totaling five. And the card front was done.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Expressions bundle, inside

For the inside… I stamped this sweet flower from Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Boho Blue in the corner. I used my Blending Brush & Boho Blue ink to color some of the upper portion of the Basic White inside panel. I added the rest of the stamped sentiment with liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Expressions card & envelope

For the envelope… more of the Poetic Expressions Boho Blue Designer Series Paper on the flap & trimmed to fit. For the front of the envelope, the same flower as the inside of the card – Thoughtful Expressions stamp set & Boho Blue ink. Am LOVING this set – and it’s my first ‘play’. So wonderfully feminine and delicate. If you want to learn more about how to purchase this set from my online store, tune in below the names on the blog hop.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Postage Thank You Card

Snow is covering everything and it’s a beautiful sight. I’m glad I don’t HAVE to go anywhere though :O) My card today is a Thank You for a special friend who recently gave me a gift.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Postage Thank You Card

The card base is Gorgeous Grape with an added layer of Basic White run through the Softly Sophisticated 3D embossing folder. This is a FREE ITEM in the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog with a qualifying order. It comes with a stamp set called Softly Sophisticated. Back to the card… I pulled out my Scallop Contour Dies and die cut a piece of Highland Heather, then with my paper trimmer cut a Basic White piece to fit inside and a panel of Perennial Lavender DSP. I layered these together with liquid glue, then used my Wink of Stella to add some sparkle to the butterflies. Before attaching it to the card front, I added a narrow strip of Gorgeous Grape across the center, then attached the panels with dimensionals. The Perennial Postage stamp set has a wonderful sentiment – Thank You for Your Friendship – I taped off the latter part and stamped the Thank You with Gorgeous Grape ink on a scrap of Basic White, trimmed the ends and added it with dimensionals. I added three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems around the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Thank You Card, inside

For the inside I stamped the remainder of the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White in Gorgeous Grape ink, trimmed the ends and adhered the sentiment to a larger scrap of Perennial Lavender DSP, then to a Basic White insert. I stamped the butterflies from Perennial Postage stamp set in Highland Heather ink.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Postage Thank You Card & Envelope
Stampin' Up! Perennial Postage Thank You Card, envelope front

For the envelope, more of the same piece of Perennial Lavender DSP on the flap, trimmed to fit. For the envelope front, I again stamped the butterflies in Highland Heather ink, scattering them. .

What a sweet card – love the colors & DSP -so cheery & fresh.

Remember that this bundle – Perennial Postage – is in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog and can be found as part of a suite of products on pages 22-25. Stampin’ Up! Stippled Roses Wreath

Hello Monday… This post SHOULD HAVE gone out yesterday but I was on the road and the connection must have failed. Here ya go – yesterdays post, today :O{

Good Sunday! This weather is crazy here in south Jersey: 55 degrees one day then it plummets to 26 the next. Aargh… Just stay cold already! Enough postulating, right? Today’s card is another we made in class asnd it’s a wreath.

Stampin' Up! Stippled Roses Wreath

I stamped the leaf image from Stippled Roses stamp set three times on Basic White in Shaded Spruce ink. Again I took my Blender Pen and moved the ink around then die cut all three with the appropriate Stippled Roses Dies. I adhered them with liquid glue to a Softly Stippled DSP background. I die cut the single leaf in the Stippled Roses Dies from Shaded Spruce card stock and added it in place. I tied a bow with the Gingham Plaid ribbon and attached it with a glue dot. The three flowers are die cut from Calypso Coral card stock using another of the Stippled Roses Dies. They are adhered in place with dimensionals. This nearly completed panel was added to a Pebbled Path piece slightly larger, then to a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped the birthday sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink on a Basic White scrap, adhered it to a strip of 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP, put dimensionals on the back. The sentiment comes from – drum roll here – Stippled Roses Stamp set :O). The final touch is Iridescent Pearl Basic ?Jewels on each of the flowers and two more by the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Stippled Roses Wreath, inside

For the inside… a strip of the same 2022-2024 6×6 In Color DSP adhered to a Softly Stippled DSP and added to a Basic White panel.

Stampin' Up! Stippled Roses Wreath card & envelope

For the envelope… a different pattern of the Softly Stippled DSP in Pebbled Path added to the flap and trimmed to fit.

The Stippled Roses Bundle is in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog and the Softly Stippled DSP is a FREE ITEM available in the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration catalog (with a qualified order).

Stampin’ Up! Stippled Roses Birthday

Good Saturday morning. We had another night of torrential rain & winds last night – gads! I just feel lucky we didn’t lose power, trees didn’t come down – you know, like that.

Stippled Roses & Blender Pen

We had card class Thursday and this is one of the cards we made. Today’s card is pretty easy using just one bundle, Stippled Roses and it’s coordinating Stippled Roses Dies. I stamped the rose in Moody Mauve on a Basic White panel, then moved the ink around on the roses with my Blender Pen. A clue or two about that process: try not to overwork an area. In other words, no need to keep going over it. And I just worked in the darker inked areas and moved it around. No need to overthink. For the leaves I used my small Blending Brush and with Granny Apple Green ink, tapped off some of the ink and gently colored the leaves. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just add color. If you think it needs more color pull out those Stampin Blends in Granny Apple Green and add some definition. I definitely used those around the rose buds. I die cut the rose with the large Stippled Roses Dies. I used the leaf die from the same set of dies and die cut three leaves. I added them to the back of the die cut rose with Seal+ and added dimensionals as well. I embossed a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Granny Apple Green card stock with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder (a FREE item with a qualifying order from the Sale-a-Bration catalog). Look at that wonderful detail – love it! I adhered the embossed panel to a slightly larger Basic White and then directly to the Moody Mauve card base. I added the die cut roses that on dimensionals and the card was just about done. I stamped the sentiment in Moody Mauve ink on a scrap of Basic White and trimmed it down, added dimensionals and one & done. I flicked my Wink of Stella all over then added three wonderful pearls.

Stampin' Up! Stippled Roses & Blender Pen

For the inside I stamped the single rose in Moody Mauve ink on a Basic White panel and added that to the inside of the card. You CAN do the same process of moving the ink around with the Blender pen – I did not.

Stampin' Up! Stippled Roses & Blender Pen

For the envelope… the same single rose stamped in Moody Mauve ink on the front of the card. I also ran a piece of Moody Mauve card stock through the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder and added it to the flap. A beautiful and quick birthday card.
