Stampin’ Up! Garden Walk 6×6 DSP

This is a quick and easy card made for a friend who is undergoing chemo treatments and feeling really weak and tired. A pretty card is always a special ‘lift me up’ and lets the other person know they are being prayed for and love is being sent.

Stampin' Up! Garden Walk 6x6 DSP

The colors are striking, aren’t they? One of the keys is pulling together colors from the DSP so it really ‘shines’. I’ve used Calypso Coral card stock for a layer, with Garden Green as the card base. And I’ve used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut the papers and the Distress Tile 3D embossing folder to create more texture for the card front. The ribbon is from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack and the sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White scrap using the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set, then die cut with the Wonderful Thoughts Dies. For additional sparkle I added three Blooming Pearls.

Stampin' Up! Garden Walk 6x6 DSP, inside

For the inside of the card, lots of room for sending cheer and a friendly message. A 5/8″ strip added to the Basic White panel, then a left over piece that has the deckled edge from the die cuts above. Both papers come from the Garden Walk 6×6 DSP package of papers.

Stampin' Up! Garden Walk 6x6 DSP card & envelope

For the envelope I used a couple of other products: Subtles 6×6 DSP in Calypso Coral for the envelope flap, trimmed to fit; and for the front these adorable stamped-off Calypso Coral flowers from Petal Park stamp set.

The Garden Walk 6×6 DSP, Distress Tile 3D embossing folder and the Blooming Pearls are all from the Mini 2023 September-December Catalog and can be ordered September 6. Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies on Pecan Pie

Not long ago I had a card class and we made a card with the Cheerful Daisies bundle. The background for all the cards were from Glorious Gingham DSP. The card I shared with you was done on Blueberry Bushel and it really made the daisies pop. I had an extra left over, but this time in Pecan Pie, so I made that one up as well – and that’s my card for today.

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies on Pecan Pie

Isn’t this pretty? I used the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends for two of the flower centers and an actual piece of Daffodil Delight card stock for the largest flower. You can see the Blends is slightly darker, so a nice contrast. Behind the leaves is Granny Apple Green card stock. The greeting comes from Go-to Greetings stamp set and was stamped in Pecan Pie on the Basic White strip. A little Linen bow was added for fun and Wild Wheat dots from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots pack. The vellum is from Vellum Basics and is a 2″ wide strip.

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies on Pecan Pie, inside

For the inside of this card, I stamped this partial daisy from Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Bubble Bath, then the center in stamped off Daffodil Delight ink. I should have maybe stamped the flower in daisy Delight and the center in Pecan Pie – – – but I didn’t.

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies on Pecan Pie, card & envelope

More of the Glorious Gingham on the envelope flap and the same stamped daisy from Cheerful Daisies stamp set on the envelope front: Bubble Bath ink for the petals and stamped off Daffodil Delight for the center. If you want to see the card on Blueberry Bushel -here’s a link to the Blueberry Bushel post. Love this bundle of Cheerful Daisies and the Glorious Gingham DSP together!

If you do not have a demonstrator and would like to order from me or need a catalog, I would like to help you create. When ordering $50 or more in product (before shipping/ taxes), use my HOST CODE 64NDVS4D to receive Star Rewards and a SU! gift valued to $10. Star Rewards build up so that when you have 8 rewards from me, you can receive a stamp set valued to $40. :O) And when your order is $50 or more prior to Shipping/ taxes, you also receive the monthly tutorial. :O)

Stampin’ Up! Monochromatic w/ Wonderful Thoughts Bundle

Good Sunday morning! We have a beautiful cool day here in New Jersey – after a full day of LOTS of rain. We needed the rain, don’t get me wrong, but the sunshine is really nice :O) I created a card that is monochromatic today, and I would love your opinion on it.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Thoughts, front

I began with a Fresh Freesia card base and layered another panel on dimensionals that I had run through the Raindrops Embossing Folder. Next, I die cut five panels of Fresh Freesia using one of the dies in Wonderful Thoughts Dies. I used a sponge dauber to add a bit of Fresh Freesia to all sides of each die cut, then added them with dimensionals to the embossed panel. Next I die cut three of the flowers from Wonderful Thoughts Dies and colored them using Stampin’ Blends: both light & dark Fresh Freesia, Dark Granny Apple Green and both light & dark Daffodil Delight. I also used the Color Lifter in a couple of places on the flowers to add a bit more definition. These were added with liquid glue over the five panels. I then stamped the sentiment from Wonderful Thoughts stamp set in Memento ink on a Basic White scrap, die cut it with a die from Wonderful Thoughts Dies and adhered it with liquid glue. The last step for the card front was some Adhesive-Backed Sequins in white. I added these between the panels.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Thoughts, inside

For the inside, the last of the three flowers was adhered to the bottom of this Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from Wonderful Thoughts in Memento ink, then added the panel with liquid glue and the card was done! I like the flowers on the Basic White panel and think I would like to make this card again with a Basic White card base, color the flowers similarly, etc. What do you think?

I’ve mentioned before that I’m having trouble with the html in this blog – so know my site is being worked on and in a week or so, that will be fixed! I’m very much looking forward to that…. Once it’s fixed, the html’s should be made available to past cards as well, at least, that’s what I THINK will happen :O)

You can still shop with me by visiting my store here. Items used: Wonderful Thoughts bundle, Fresh Freesia cardstock, Basic White card stock, Fresh Freesia ink, sponge dauber, Memento ink, Stampin’ Blends ~ Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Color Lifter; Raindrops Embossing Folder and Adhesive-Backed Sequins. The basics needed for creating this card: paper trimmer, cut & emboss machine, dimensionals, liquid adhesive.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Posies Embossing Folder

Good morning, good morning. Thinking of all those who have been or are in the path of Hurricane Ian. My heart goes out to you and praying for your safety. It’s so very scary.

Today is the day prior to WCMD – WORLD CARD MAKING DAY – and it’s going to be fun! We invite you to join us during our Inkin’ Krew Facebook Live events during the day for some fun card sharing demonstrations AND some give- aways as well. More info is below but you can find the page right here:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/inkinkrewworldcardmakingday2022 – click & ask to join 😁

Today’s card is another pretty simple but elegant card that could so easily have a different sentiment: birthday, anniversary… we could almost call this an ‘all occasion card’. :O)

Stampin' Up! Painted Posies EF & Framed Occasions.1

Gosh, the light isn’t so good on this… it’s difficult to see the embossing :O( This starts with a Thick Basic White A2 card base with the fold at the left. I then took a Basic White panel & ran it through the Painted Posies embossing folder and adhered it to a Basic Black piece. I wrapped this fun Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon around and tied a knot. The sentiment was stamped in Polished Pink ink and comes from Framed Occasions stamp set. I die cut with a banner die from Hydrangea Dies. I put dimensionals on it & added it right over the ribbon. Solid Faceted Gems seemed to be the perfect addition for the sentiment banner. I added black dimensionals to the back of these panels and attached it to the card base.

Stampin' Up! Painted Posies & Framed Occasions.2

For the inside… another Basic White panel and stamped it in Polished Pink using this fun flower stem from Framed Occasions stamp set. It seems so similar to the long flower stem in the embossed front – like a perfect match. This is adhered to a Basic Black and then added to the inside of the card – and done.

Stampin' Up! Pretty Posies EF and Framed Occasions.3

For the envelope, a bit of black & white from the Perfectly Penciled DSP. On the front I stamped the same flower from Framed Occasions twice, re-inking in between, then stamped final time without re-inking. It creates some depth and makes it appear as though in the background. And yes, this was Polished Pink ink.

This Painted Posies embossing folder is in the Annual 2022-2023 Catalog – as are the Hydrangea Dies AND the Framed Occasions stamp set & Gingham Ribbon. The entire list of supplies is below. When ordering, please also use my current host code: KJ3MEDQ9 and remember I offer Star-Studded Rewards. More about the rewards below :O) As a thank you to my customers I also offer a free item from Stampin’ Up! valued to $10 with your order of $50 and above. Click here to go my store. When the order is over $150, you still receive that free gift from me, but SU! has Stampin’ Rewards that may be used for additional products, so don’t use the host code at that time. If you have questions just let me know. If you would like to be able to order products early from catalogs AND enjoy that 20% discount, join my team now… you may do that here. WooHoo! We have lots of fun and are a creative bunch that encourages & supports one another. Would love to have you. :O)

Stampin' Up! Daisy Garden Thinking of You.1

You can clearly see the challenge & my creation right next to each other. That works, right? This card is already designated for a friend of mine who underwent surgery today. It begins with a Daffodil Delight A2 card base with the fold at top. The next layer is Basic White just a smidge smaller, run through the Stitched Greenery Die. LOVE this die & I use it lots… The next step was to use the Daisy Garden stamp in my Stamparatus. This allows me to re-ink as needed with the stamp stamping in the same place :O) After stamping, I used the Daffodil Delight Blends to color the flowers: dark near the center of the flower and the light blend for the rest of the flower. I wanted the focus to be only on these and I think that worked well. I adhered this to a Basic Black panel, put dimensionals on the back (and yes, I used the Black Dimensionals 😁) and added it to the card front. The sentiment comes from Framed Occasions stamp set stamped with Memento ink on a Basic White scrap. I die cut it with a banner die from Harvest Dies. I wanted a bit of background for the sentiment so used the same banner die from Harvest Dies to create a Basic Black piece. These were adhered together and added to the card front with more dimensionals. Finally, the Brushed Brass Butterflies were a perfect addition to the card.

For the inside… I used Stepping Stones stamp set and Memento Ink to stamp the sentiment. This is a great set and has some wonderful quoted sentiments. And yes- stamped on a Basic White panel. At the bottom of this I stamped a bit more of the Daisy Garden stamp and colored it with Daffodil Delight Blends. I adhered this to a Basic Black piece, then into the Daffodil Delight card base. And the card was done.

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful World Fun Fold

Good Saturday morning! I have a quick & easy card for you today using the Wonderful World stamp set. Remember, this is a stamp set that comes as a bundle with Wonderful World 12 x 12 DSP and is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $100 order from either the Annual 2022 Catalog or the Jul-Dec 2022 Mini catalog. And if you are in need of either one, please reach out to me.

Wonderful World Fun Fold.1

I began with a standard card base in Thick Basic White (8 1/2 x 5 1/2) and scored at 4 1/4. I then cut the front to 2 1/8. I added a panel of Sweet Sorbet card stock to the front panel, then a smaller piece of 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP, also in Sweet Sorbet. To the inside, I added a coordinated piece of Sweet Sorbet In Color 6×6 DSP, covering the entire inside. I pulled out the Wonderful World stamp set and stamped this double flower in Sweet Sorbet ink. (BTW, anyone know what this flower is called?) I die cut the panel with Stitched Rectangles Dies and adhered it to a Sweet Sorbet piece die cut with the next larger Stitched Rectangle Die. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink. This comes from Soft Seedlings stamp set which is new in the Jul-Dec 2022 Mini catalog. I tied a bow with 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine in Sweet Sorbet and attached with a rolled glue dot. I colored three Basic Rhinestone Jewels with my Dark Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends and put in place. This panel was now ready to be attached with liquid glue to the right panel. I did this by closing the card and centering the panel. The liquid glue was only on the left side of the added piece!

Wonderful World Fun Fold, inside

To finish the inside, I die cut the same size of Basic White as the stamped panel on the card front – yep, with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the greeting with the Go To Greetings stamp set in Basic Gray. I stamped this sweet double leaf in Sweet Sorbet ink from the Wonderful World stamp set. This panel was adhered to the inside, centering it just right. This way it doesn’t show when the card is closed. :O)

Wonderful World Fun Fold.3

For the envelope, I wanted to use that cute double leaf from the Wonderful World stamp set again, so stamped it along the edge of the envelope front. I stamped the same double flower as the card front – all of this in Sweet Sorbet ink. I’ve mentioned before that I prefer monochromatic cards and this is definitely that.

I have needed several general thinking of you cards recently and wanted to use some retired product… here are two more using the Wonderful World stamp set and Sweet Sorbet ink. These are not monochromatic!

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s time… for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. You may have come from the fun & creative Tara or just dropping in. Whatever the case ~ here’s the sketch challenge.

And, drum role… here’s my card!

Season Of Chic. Happy Inkin’ Th. Blog hop.1

The focus is Texture Chic Specialty DSP (special as it has gold in the various papers – and BTW, it’s g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s. Some things I don’t like about this card 😩… I should have cut the DSP panels smaller, should also have put vellum (or something) behind the leaves so they stood out more. This was my first play with the Chic Dies – and they are so fab!!! Love, love. Just yesterday I learned that a friend’s step daughter lost her hubby, so this is going to my friend.

The ‘how to’…

  • Card stock base is Soft Succulent
  • next layer is Evening Evergreen adhered on a slant directly to the card base.(see the challenge :O)
  • Adhere two layers together of the Texture Chic Specialty DSP (HINT: I die cut several dies from the bottom DSP and since it doesn’t show, no one knows :O)
  • Die cut from Brushed Metallic Gold the ‘netting’ type die & adhere with liquid glue to the DSP
  • Adhere the two leaf die cuts from the Chic Dies & Texture Chic Sp. DSP, again with dabs of liquid glue
  • Tie a bow with the Simply Elegant Trim in Gold and adhere with a glue dot
  • Stamp the sentiment from Season of Chic Stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink on a Soft Succulent scrap and fussy cut. Adhere with Mini Dimensionals to the DSP panels
  • Put dimensionals on the completed DSP panels and adhere to the card.
Season of Chic. Happy Inkin’ Th. Blog Hop.inside

For the inside…

Use one of the die cuts from the Texture Chic Specialty DSP to the Basic White panel with dabs of liquid glue, then add to the inside of the card. No sentiment was added for flexibility of use, but since learning of a need for a sympathy card, I will have lots of room for comments, notes, something inspirational & hopefully comforting.

L-O-V-E this DSP… love the Season of Chic Bundle… can’t wait to play more. 😁

Season of Chic. Happy Inkin’ Th. Blog Hop.3

For the envelope… more Texture Chic Sp DSP for the flap, cut to fit. For the front, I used one of the leaf stamps, inked with Pool Party ink, then using a dauber added Evening Evergreen in various places. Perfect!

Now… on with the hop… Use the ‘next’ or ‘previous’ button to take you to whomever you wish to visit, OR, click on a name to visit their blog. Next is Amy Koenders who always has something great to share.

Stampin’ Up! Abigail Rose for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello stampers! Today is the always fun Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. You will see some fabulous creations along the hop, so I encourage you to ‘do the tour’. If you have come from Tara’s blog, welcome. If you have simply hopped in, thank you for joining us today.

And our sketch challenge is this…

And here’s the card I created for the challenge. It uses the Abigail Rose 12 x 12 DSP as the focal point. Don’t you just love this DSP? Gorgeous… I colored the one flower with Stampin’ Blends Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. For background interest I used the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder on a Basic White panel and added it directly to the Thick Basic White card base. The next two layers are a piece of Early Espresso and the colored Abigail Rose DSP, adhered together then popped on dimensionals and added to the card front. The sentiment panel is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White scrap, then added to another strip of Calypso Coral adhered to the front on dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set. Finally, two Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were colored with the Dark Calypso Coral Blends and added beneath the sentiment.

Abigail Rose.1

For the inside of the card, I stamped one of the smaller flowers from the coordinating Cottage Rose stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel, then colored it with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. This was adhered to a slightly larger panel of Early Espresso card stock, then added to the inside of the card. Voila!

Abigail Rose, inside

For the envelope, I used the medium rose from Cottage Rose stamp set and stamped the envelope front – Early Espresso ink of course and three more on the envelope flap. I chose not to color these – don’t ask me why, I don’t know. And that was it. Love the versatility of this layout and this DSP. Just change the sentiment and it could be sympathy, birthday, get well – you name it. It isn’t a masculine card, but change the DSP for that :O)

Stampin’ Up! Sneaky Peek w/ Botanical Layers Bundle

Good Tuesday everyone! The 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and ordering will soon be available to absolutely everyone… yay! I DO hope you will like the new In Colors. Personally, I really, really like them. And today’s card shows off a couple of them: Starry Night and Parakeet Party, oh and Orchid Oasis. The Designer Series Paper I used is more new issue: In Color 6×6 in Starry Night, Sun Prints 12 x 12 and of course the vellum is Lovely Layers Vellum (part of the Botanical Layers Bundle). There are a couple of other new products on the card as well: 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots – Orchid Oasis and Metallic Woven Ribbon in Parakeet Party. WooHoo! If you have a catalog already, take a peek at pg. 93 for my inspiration. Love the color combination!

Botanical Layers.1

I began with a card base of Starry Night card stock and adhered a panel of the 6 x 6 DSP Assortment in Starry Night. I then cut a piece of Sun Prints 12 x 12 (there are some gorgeous patterns in the pack!) and adhered it cockeyed, intentionally :O) I stamped the leaf design from the Botanical Layers stamp set in Orchid Oasis ink, kind of a purpley blue and heat set it with the heat tool to help it dry.It WILL dry on it’s own, but it will take a bit and I didn’t want to wait. I die cut the leaves from the Meadow Dies (coordinates with Quiet Meadow stamp set) and Basic White card stock then used a Blending Brush and Pale Papaya ink to gently add color. I also die cut the butterfly from the same Meadows Dies and Pale Papaya card stock then used the same Blending Brush to add more color to the butterfly. I added the white branch of leaves to the card with glue dots. I stamped the additional leaves on a Basic White piece in Parakeet Party ink and fussy cut it. This was an easy process by the way… I added this over the white leaves with dimensionals. I cut a length of Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon and slipped it under the green leaves, adhering with a glue dot. I stamped the sentiment from the Botanical Layers stamp set in Orchid Oasis ink and trimmed the Basic White strip as you see it. A single dimensional under the right section of the sentiment and a dab of liquid glue on the left adhered it to the card. Two final touches: add the butterfly with mini dimensionals, then add the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots in Orchid Oasis. And the card front is complete.

Botanical Layers.1

For the inside I stamped the leaves in Orchid Oasis ink using the Botanical Layers stamp set, then added a strip of the 6×6 DSP Assortment in Starry Night to the bottom of the Basic White panel. This was added to the inside of the card and voila – the inside was also complete.

Botanical Layers.2

For the envelope, I stamped the leaves in Parakeet Party ink on the front of the envelope using the Botanical Layers stamp set. To the flap I added 6×6 DSP Assortment in Parakeet Party and trimmed it to fit. Done, done!

Botanical Layers.3

Stampin’ Up! Birthday w/ Gorgeous Leaves

Good Saturday morning! It’s a beaut here ~ 65 degrees and a bit breezy. The day is new & fresh :O) I just recently posted (Thurs) a card with a fun centerpiece created w/ Blending Brushes & several colors. Because there was some card stock left over I decided to put it to use and created today’s card. Because of the sentiments used, it can so easily be used as a ‘thinking of you card’ as well.

Birthday w/ Gorgeous Leaves.1

The three squares are some of what’s remaining of the original coloring, and it’s been backed by Brushed Metallic card stock in a coppery look. The leaves were die cut from Gold/ Rose Gold 6×6 using the gold (you can see I left some of the pieces in the leaves – intentionally), Gold foil sheet and a stamped leaf in stamped off Mango Melody. The dies used are Intricate Leaves Dies which coordinates with the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set. The Cajun Craze card stock was run through the Timeworn Word 3D embossing folder and adhered to a Very Vanilla panel and attached to the Cajun craze card base with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set and stamped on a Very Vanilla scrap with Pumpkin Pie ink then fussy cut & also adhered with dimensionals. The three leaves were glued in place and a glue dot was used to adhere a double strand bow of Linen Thread.

Birthday w/ Gorgeous Leaves.2

For the inside…. I used stamped off Pumpkin Pie ink for the leaves, sometimes third generation. The splotch was made with Mango Melody ink ~ both from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set on a panel of Very Vanilla. The sentiment is again from Heartfelt Wishes stamp set, stamped in Pumpkin Pie…. and the card was done! Kinda nice having left-over pieces to create a card. :O)

Birthday w/ Gorgeous Leaves.3

For the envelope I used the same process as the inside of the card… stamped off Pumpkin Pie for the leaves and Mango Melody ink for the splotch – both on a Very Vanilla envelope.

Here is a photo of the ink colors used to create the original panel with the Blending Brushes.

Birthday w/ Gorgeous Leaves.4
