Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow Bundle with Merry Bold & Bright DSP

Good Monday – ’tis already Dec 18! How are you doing with shopping? I’m nearly there but not quite :O) today’s the day to finish though. I had this Merry Bold & Bright DSP on my table and decided to use it – in kind of a different way. Really I’m just playing around. And I pulled out the Garden Meadow stamp set bundle. This is a fun bundle found in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. I love the rain boots stamp & coordinating die! And I wanted to use the ‘every day is a fresh start’ sentiment. To me it indicates we can wipe the slate clean and begin again, or… pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start anew. Anyway, here’s my card.

I also pulled out the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle to create the sentiment banner. I stamped the hexagon outline with Melon Mambo ink on a Basic White scrap, punched it out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch then stamped the sentiment in Memento ink using the Garden Meadow stamp set. I stamped the boots in Memento ink as well, but on Merry Bold & Bright DSP, then die cut it with the appropriate die – both from the Garden Meadow bundle. Then I set about making the card base: Melon Mambo 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. I created layers with Flirty Flamingo and more Merry Bold & Bright DSP, trimming each on an angleI layered them together with liquid glue. I placed the boots on dimensionals and attached them. I stamped the sweet flowers in Memento ink using the sweet stamp in Garden Meadow stamp set. I colored the flowers with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. (I should have stamped this sweet stamp in Garden Green ink!) The two layers were attached to the card base with dimensionals, then the hexagon piece was attached also with dimensionals.

For the inside… another layer of Flirty Flamingo was added to the card base. The Basic White panel was stamped first with the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink, then the basket of flowers in Memento ink. Both come from the Garden Meadow stamp set. I colored the flowers & leaves with Stampin’ Blends: Light Poppy Parade, Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Flirty Flamingo and both Dark & Light Lemon Lime Twist.

For the envelope… more of the Merry Bold & Bright DSP on the flap and the same precious basked from the Garden Meadow stamp set stamped on the front in Memento ink – same coloring as the inside basket :O). This card is being sent to a friend who is undergoing chemo treatments and needs a ‘pick-me-up’. I’m hoping this card will help.

The Merry Bold & Bright DSP is in the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog and is being discontinued. You will find it on the LAST CHANCE PRODUCT list. Speaking of which…

Stampin’ Up! Class Gnomes

Good morning Friday! We are headed out to pick up our live-cut tree this morning. It’s a tradition – no artificial tree for us. :O) We had card class yesterday – but in lieu of cards or boxes or a paper item, we made mop-head gnomes. – and a reindeer from clothes pins. Both turned out so cute.

Aren’t these fun? And it took about an hour to make the gnome and just a bit to make the reindeer. Great project for something different.

What to purchase to make the gnome:

  • 16 oz dry beans
  • sock
  • scarf
  • mop head
  • wooden pull for nose
  • Jingle bells & ribbon

How to make:

  • Keep beans in bag & insert into one sock.
  • Coat mop head with glue with glue gun
  • Roll down excess sock and insert mop head into opening
  • If so desired unroll some of the mop head ‘strings’ so beard is finer (we did)
  • Cut scarf in half, cut into v-shape, glue sides, turn inside out and place over mop head
    • Add jingle bell to length of ribbon and tie onto pointy end of hat
    • Can stuff hat with tissue to make it stand up – I did
  • Hot glue nose into place pushing it onto the sock ‘bean bag’
  • Done!

Stampin’ Up! Stars At Night Ornaments

Good Wednesday! Midweek – the panic sets in – what is on my list today, what do I need to do first, what, what, what?! Today I’m sharing some of the Stars At Night ornaments I’ve been making. No two are alike, but they are similarities. I pulled out some different colors of glimmer paper and card stock.

Bottom row: on left Stargazing DSP for the circle, Basic White and Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem in the middle; bottom right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper; next row up and left is Three Color Glimmer Paper in Petal Pink, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a pearlized gem, right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and pearlized gem; third row up is Highland Heather card stock, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem, middle is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather, Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Silver Pearl; top row is more of the Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center, top right is Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a silver pearl. I used various ribbons that coordinated well with each ornament – Night of Navy Glittered Ribbon, Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon. As I was making a bunch, I pulled out the retired Circles Dies for convenience.

Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends Part 2 for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group

Good Tuesday! We have an easy challenge for the hop today… “Celebrate” – and we can interpret that however we like. We have a couple of family birthdays this month so that’s what I’m using. And, while I used this same stamp set Sunday, I’m using a different animal today :O)

Look at that sweet bunny holding a cup cake – is that cute or what?! Using the Fluffiest Friends stamp set, I stamped it in Memento Black ink and colored a bit of the ears, nose and feet pads in Stampin’ Blends Dark Petal Pink. I die cut him with the coordinating Fluffiest Friends Dies. Since I had the dies out, I went ahead and die cut several leaves: in both Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party. I used the Nested Essentials Dies to cut the banner in Basic White. I added a layer of leaves to the banner with liquid glue, then the bunny on dimensionals and a few more leaves on dimensionals. The single heart is from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.

This is a 4 panel fun fold card and I used Petal Pink card stock for the card base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 1 1/4 and 4 1/4. I added panels of DSP: Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP, also from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. The pieces are (2) 1 x 5 1/2 and (2) 2 3/4 x 5 1/4. The banner with the bunny was added with Stampin’ Seal to the folded back front panel.

For the inside sentiment panel – Basic White piece – 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 – I pulled out another stamp set, Beautiful Balloons from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the Happy Birthday in Sweet Sorbet ink then the rounded sentiment in Petal Pink ink. The flowers at the bottom come from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set and are stamped in Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends: Dark Petal Pink, Light Sweet Sorbet, Light Lemon Lolly and Light Granny Apple Green. On top of a few of the flowers I added a flower from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers. I adhered a few more of the die cut leaves in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party, attached the panel to the inside and the card was done.

For the envelope, I added more of the Sweet Sorbet DSP from Bee Mine 12×12 DSP pack to the flap. I stamped the balloon in Sweet Sorbet ink using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set. I used a Basic Black Marker to add a bow and some squiggly string. I think the person receiving this card is going to love it! It’s feminine, full of color and has a super cute bunny :O)

Stampin’ Up! Stippled Roses in Calypso Coral

Good Friday morning! What’s going on in your ‘neck of the woods’? We have coldness here in NJ – 27 degrees this AM – and have our heated bird bath working. The birds are flocking to it! I’m amazed how many are on it at the same time – and variety too. Nature has lessons for us :O)

My card today is another using Stippled Roses – I’m loving the detail of the stamped roses and the die cut leaves are just stunningly detailed.

I ran a Basic White piece through a new embossing folder called Softly Sophisticated 3D EF to create more texture for the card and added it to a Thick Basic White card base. I’ve paired the Softly Stippled DSP with Lost Lagoon card stock, adhered together, then added to the card front on dimensionals. I die cut a circle with the Stylish Shapes Dies as I like the look of the edge. I stamped the rose in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White scrap & die cut it with the Stippled Roses Dies. I also die cut the leaves in Lost Lagoon card stock with one of the Stippled Roses Dies. I added the leaves to the circle with liquid glue and the rose image with dimensionals. Three Blooming Pearls were added to the circle which was adhered to the card front with liquid glue.

Nothing Calypso Coral on the inside of this card :O) – it’s all Lost Lagoon! Just look at those gorgeous leaves stamped. It’s a single stamp and simply beautiful – from Stippled Roses stamp set. The sentiment comes from the So Sincere stamp set in the retiring Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. I layered the Basic White stamped panel to Lost Lagoon and then right onto the inside of the card base. DONE!

I kept the envelope super simple… added a piece of the Softly Stippled DSP to the envelope flap and that was it.

Stampin’ Up! Brightest Glow & Labels Aglow Dies

Good Tuesday morning! Today is an exciting day for us Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators – for we are able to order Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalogs for our customers, Sale-a-bration catalogs AND items from the mini catalog to preview & play with. Oh my credit card!!! That is not why you joined me today..,. several days ago I mentioned how I thought all Christmas Cards were made – and then I got an order for 10. I completed them last night, so am sharing them this morning.

You can see I used the same layout for every one of the cards, but different card stock layers & DSP. My card base for all of them is Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. Colored card stock layers were pretty much the same as well… 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 and 4 x 3 3/4. Designer Series Papers were adhered to each panel and they are 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 & 3 3/4 x 3 1/2: Shining Christmas SDSP, Winter Meadow DSP, Joy of Christmas DSP. The sentiments were stamped in coordinating ink colors for each card: Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Blueberry Bushel, Lost Lagoon, and Mossy Meadow. I used the Layered Essential Dies for the sentiment area. For the bows: Linen Thread and Simply Elegant Trim in both Silver & gold. The sentiment is from the Brightest Glow stamp set. I did not take a photo of the inside, but used the circle die from the Labels Aglow Dies, stamped it in VersaMark ink and heat set in White Embossing Powder.

Stampin’ Up! Shining Christmas and Merriest Trees Dies Gift Card Holder

Good Monday morning! Gosh – here we are really INTO December. Have you decorated the house yet? We are in the midst and it is so very messy with all the boxes of decorations. The tree is the last thing to do… as we purchase a live cut tree. So we wait so it doesn’t become too dry and a hazard. :O)

Today’s post is all about gift card holders – and I have one to share that’s different. I like it!

Stampin' Up! Shining Christmas SDSP & Merriest Trees Dies

Love this little gift card holder and I’m in the process of making a few. This SDSP is shiny and of course, two-sided. The panel is 4 x 12 scored at 3, 6, & 9 1/8. Burnish gently. On last panel mark 1/2″ from the last score line at the top of the segment; make another 1/2″ mark up from the bottom of the end panel and cut diagonally.

Add Tear n Tape where the white strips are. Cut a panel of Basic White 2 7/8 x 3 7/8, stamp with sentiment (here I used the Brightest Glow stamp set and Cherry Cobbler ink) and adhere to second panel of SDSP (between 2nd & 3rd score lines). Remove Tear n Tape & close.

Cut about 20″ length of ribbon (here I used Real Red from the Real Red & Garden Green combo pack); add Stampin’ Seal to ribbon about 6 1/2 from one end and for about 6″.; add to front panel and to second panel, centering from top to bottom. Now decorate!

Stampin' Up! Shining Christmas SDSP & Merriest Trees Dies

I used the various sections of the Merriest Trees Dies to die cut the layers for the tree in Basic White. I attached each layer with dimensionals and added it over the ribbon – with dimensionals. I used the Silver & Gold Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and Merriest Trees Dies to die cut the trim and the star atop the tree and added these ever to easily to the complete the tree. I die cut a banner to add a name with the Tailor Made Tags Dies in Basic White and two circles over the hole in Cherry Cobbler. I colored a length of white twine with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends and tied it in a bow. This tag was attached with dimensionals. I die cut another tag jst as an illustration of where the gift card or check could be placed in the enclosure. And done!

This could so easily be used as a birthday gift card holder or graduation, or anniversary – just change up the Designer Series Paper and decorating the front panel – and there ya go.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Card as Pop Up Shadow Box

Good Friday morning! Ok, December 1 it is and the countdown begins to Christmas or end of year 2023. I hosted a card class yesterday and we have been making cards with the Kraft Note Card & box set. I shared the box some time ago, but I think not this shadow-box card. Click here to see the box post. We used the Fruitful Blessings bundle (includes coordinating dies), Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder, several Stampin’ Blends, Vellum, Deckled Circles Dies, O Holy Night DSP, Wild Wheat and Old Olive card stock.

From the front it is not obvious this is a shadow box card. And, I’ve used two note cards adhered together to make this work. For the front, here’s what we did…

  • Stamp the image: acorns w/ leaves & additional acorn using the Fruitful Blessings stamp set & Memento ink on Basic White card stock.
  • Color the acorns with Wild Wheat & Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. Color the leaves with Stampin’ Blends Old Olive.
  • Die cut a few leaves from Old Olive card stock using the Fruitful Blessings Dies.
  • Die cut a circle from Vellum using the Deckled Circles Dies (these may be found as part of the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES).
  • Die cut stamped images using Fruitful Blessings Dies.
  • Run a panel of Wild Wheat through the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.

The Kraft Note cards are 7 x 5 scored @ 3 1/2. Score again @ 6 1/2. Take another Kraft Note Card and cut to just shy of 4 x 5 and score @ 1/2 at each long side. Adhere the two note card together so they measure 5 x 10 1/2 and score marks appear @ 3 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 & 10. Adhere Tear n Tape between score mark 10 to end of card @ 10 1/2. Die cut 3rd full panel with the Nested Essentials Dies. (For this card I used the Nested Essentials Dies, but would prefer the Countryside Corners Dies.)

I got too excited aboput putting this together that I didn’t take enough photos!!! But here’s the inside. On the 2nd panel is the O Holy Night DSP cut just slightly less than 3 1/2 x 5. The stamped image is from Fruitful Blessings stamped on Basic White, colored with various Stampin’ Blends and adhered in place. Colors are: Wild Wheat, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Copper Clay, Dark Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Orchid Oasis. After adhering this colored piece in place, remove seal on Tear n Tape, close card so this adheres to the back of the card front. The single acorn die cut & the acorn w/ leaves were done same as the card front. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink using the Fruitful Blessings stamp set. The finished card will look like this from a top view.

Stampin’ Up! Joy of Noel Wreath

Good Wednesday morning… It’s Nov 29 and I thought I was just about finished with making Christmas cards – when an order for 10 came in this AM! Pleasing our customers is what we do, right? Here’s my card for today.

Using a festive ‘spray’ stamp from Joy of Noel stamp set, I stamped three images on Basic White with Memento ink – and proceeded to color them: Stampin’ Blends: Old Olive, Light Shaded Spruce and Light Real Red. I die cut them with the appropriate die from Joy of Noel Dies and formed them into a wreath, adhering them only on the ends of each of the images. I took another Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4) and penciled a 2″ circle, then using Shaded Spruce ink and the pine needle stamp from Christmas Classics, stamped several around the circle to go outward ands inward to ‘frame’ the die cut wreath once it was attached. I cut a length of 3/8″ Large Check Ribbon in Very vanilla & Black and adhered it to the panel with Stampin’ Seal, both on the panel front and in back, then attached the wreath with dimensionals. I tied a bow using the same ribbon and added it with a glue dot at the top of the wreath. I die cut a few pine branches from Christmas Classics Dies in Old Olive and tucked them in various places around the wreath to give it more dimension. I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink with the Joy of noel stamp set and fussy cut it with paper snips and adhered it across the center of the wreath with dimensionals. I adhered this completed Basic White panel to a Shaded Spruce piece slightly larger, then to the Thick Basic White card base.

Stampin' Up! Joy of Noel Wreath, card inside

On the inside of the card, I stamped Christmas in Real Red ink, then Merry in Memento ink – both from Christmas Classics stamp set. The final step was the pine bough from the same stamp set stamped in Shaded Spruce ink a couple of times. This Basic White panel was adhered to a Shaded Spruce – same as the card front – then adhered directly to the inside of the card.

For the envelope, more pine boughs stamped in Shaded Spruce ink using the stamp from Christmas Classics stamp set – and the card was done.
