Stampin’ Up! Fluffiest Friends Birthday

Good Sunday! My apologies… I thought I had scheduled this to publish and didn’t!!! I have a fun, bright & cheery birthday card for you today, using the Fluffiest Friends bundle.

This is a very colorful card… because the person to whom it is being sent likes color :O) I started with the Granny Apple Green card base. With scraps of Granny Apple Green I die cut the grassy layers (5 of them) using the Fluffiest Friends Dies. I stamped the animal image (is this a raccoon? I can’t tell!) holding a ballon, colored it with Stampin’ Blends Crumb Cake (body) and Petal Pink (hands & feet) and a dot of black on the nose. I die cut this image, also from the Fluffiest Friends Dies and adhered it to a Basic White panel (3 x 4) I die cut two balloons, one from Pumpkin Pie and one from Berry Burst. I adhered the orange balloon with dimensionals and the other directly to the panel. With my Basic Black marker I drew a couple of squiggly lines. I stamped the word HAPPY in Berry Burst ink using the Biggest Wish stamp set. The grasses were added to the Basic White panel in two layers… the first adhered with liquid glue, the second with strips of cut dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio Pack in Berry Burst. This entire panel was added to a larger piece of Glorious Gingham 6×6 DSP in Berry Burst and that was added to a Basic White, then attached with liquid glue to the card base.

For the inside… a strip of the Glorious Gingham 6×6 DSP in Berry Burst was adhered near the bottom of the Basic White panel and the sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink from Biggest Wish stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! ‘NEW” Stippled Roses for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday! And since it’s a Thursday – it means another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop :O) We have a sketch challenge today.

Is this DSP beautiful, or what?! It’s called Softly Stippled DSP and is in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. The leaves are all die cut with the Stippled Roses Dies using the Distressed Gold SDSP and they take my breath away – so much detail!. I used these to create the vertical line element of this sketch. The bottom line is made with another of the Softly Stippled DSP cut at 1″ for the width of the background DSP. I folded a length of Burlap Ribbon (from Real Red & Burlap Ribbon combo pack) and attached it in place with several glue dots. It sits behind the sentiment: stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on Basic White using a stamp from Stippled Roses stamp set, then die cut with the Perennial Postage Dies, another new item in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. It’s great to be able to mix stamp sets/ dies and DSP papers. This sentiment is added with dimensionals. There are two pieces of Designer Series Papers used on the card front – both from Softly Stippled DSP pack. These two were adhered together & added to the Lost Lagoon card base with dimensionals – and the card front was complete.

For the inside of the card – simplicity personified. This sweet rose was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink on the Basic white panel. I took a water painter & smoothed the ink on the leaves. The stamp is from Stippled Roses stamp set. Added three Blooming Pearls around the lower leaf.

I did the same process stamping on the envelope: Lost Lagoon ink and a water painter to smooth the ink on the leaves. The stamp is, of course, from Stippled Roses stamp set. The envelope flap got more of the Softly Stippled DSP.

If you are a customer of mine and have ordered from me in the last 6 months it won’t be long before your catalogs are in the mail. I was able to order them Dec 5 and they should be here in a day or two so I can send them on, along with a letter & some info.. They have shipped from Utah, I know that :O)

Stampin’ Up! Saint Nicholas Cards

Good Saturday! What are YOU up to these days? Thanksgiving is next week; Christmas is right around the corner… I counted my Christmas Cards yesterday and realized I must “get hot” as I don’t have nearly enough – :O(. Here are two cards using Saint Nicholas Dies and showing off the DSP two sides. I’ll be curious if you prefer one over the other.

Card 1 uses Mossy Meadow card stock for the base and Shining Christmas SDSP (an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE DSP) plus the fun Burlap Ribbon (from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.) St. Nick is die cut from the fabulous Traditions of St. Nick DSP using the Saint Nicholas Dies. I added three Festive Pearls under the Saint Nicholas stamp set sentiment.

Card 2 uses the Traditions of St. Nick DSP, Thick Basic White card stock for the card base, an embossed panel suing the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder, the Large Check Ribbon, Stylish Shaped Dies circle and a sentiment from Wishes All Around stamp set, and of course a different St Nick directly die cut from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. I also added three Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins in white that are difficult to see in this photo.

Here are the insides of these two cards… look at the wonderful DSP!Each of the ‘add-ons’ on the Basic White panel are from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP: the tree are fussy cut and adhered in place with liquid glue; St Nick was die cut from an edge and also added with liquid glue.

As you can see… coordinating DSP on the envelope flaps; a sentiment stamped from the Saint Nicholas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on card 1; on card 2 another fussy ct tree from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. Same layout for both, yet very different.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Cards

Good morning! Here we are at the end of another week – whoa, it’s going by so quickly. I’ve had trouble with my computer for too many days now. All of a sudden everything started working again… I am shocked but pleased as punch! Photos are coming through – in other words, being synched to my computer – amazing! I’ll keep my finger crossed :O)

In my most recent card class we have been playing with the Kraft Note Cards which come as a set of 20 note cards & envelopes plus a box that is ready to put together. We have also been using the Abundant Beauty Masks to create the cards and decorate the box. And each persons personality is coming through in their own way. Today I’ll share photos of my box.

In the first photo you can see the many layers of the Abundant Beauty floral mask. I used five layers, each colored with Blending Brushes & Crushed Curry for an overall color, then Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and maybe even some Real Red. It’s multi layered just as most flowers are not one solid color. The flower centers are Crushed Curry followed by soft Early Espresso – all using Blending Brushes. The second photo shows that I added Wink of Stella to many of the petals for a bit of bling. To color the larger leaves that are part of the mask, I used Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for shading the tips of the leaves – of course with Blending Brushes. The additional leaves were stamped in those same two colors and Layering Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Leaves Punch. The bow was made with Copper Ribbon from the Burlap & Ribbon Combo Pack, plus a bit of Linen Thread. It’s adhered with a couple of glue dots.

This floral display sits on two die cuts of Designer Series Papers using the Countryside Corners Dies. The larger panel is die cut from Masterfully Made DSP and the top layer is Winter Meadow DSP. These two were adhered together with dimensionals then attached to the belly band with Tear ‘n Tape. The belly band is 2 1/2″ wide x 12 and is cut from Tartan Foil SDSP in Lost Lagoon.

The box… prior to putting it together, I used the houndstooth mask to completely cover the bottom and sides of the box, keeping the mask going in the same direction. I used post-it tape to hold it in place in each section. The color is Early espresso ink with the Blending Brushes of course and I tried to vary the depth of color.

Stampin’ Up! Joy of Noel for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop 11/16

Good morning! Time for another Inkin’ Hop. The theme challenge this week is a color challenge – imagine that?! Just look at all these wonderful colors.

Notice all those colors for the challenge? They are in the coloring and the Joy of Christmas DSP. The Joy of Noel Bundle is just so wonderful… I love the words, the decorative stamps and the dies. What I did here is stamp the holly & berry ‘spray’ in Memento ink, twice, on Basic White card stock. I always find it easier to color a larger piece than a small one, so I color it then die cut. Make sense? The coloring is done with Stampin’ Blends: Old Olive (both light & dark) for the leaves, Shaded Spruce (both light & dark) for the holly, Light Real Red for the berries sand a bit of Dark Cherry Cobbler for shading on the berries. I die cut these and set them aside to prep the Thick Basic White card base. I caut a piece of the red plaid pattern from the Joy of Christmas DSP and adhered it to the card front. I laid the two die cut ‘spray’ pieces just for placement purposes to know where to stamp the sentiment. After removing them I stamped the sentiment from Joy of Noel stamp set in Real Red ink. I adhered the two die cut ‘spray’s on dimensionals along the top line of the DSP. I scattered some notes & holly from the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins package. I stamped the word ‘noel’ on Real Red card stock with Real Red ink, die cut them and adhered them directly to the ‘sprays’. As a final touch, I cut a short length of the Large Check Ribbon in Black & Very vanilla and attached it under the spray with a glue dot. Very cheerful & festive!

For the inside, I took a panel of Basic White card stock and adhered a very narrow strip of the Joy of Christmas DSP near the bottom of the panel. I then stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink, still using the Joy of Noel stamp set. I attached three red gems from the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins package with a dob of glue, adhered the panel to the inside of the card and done!

For the envelope, I took another pattern from the Joy of Christmas DSP, adhered it to the flap & trimmed it to fit. On the front I stamped the berry spray in Memento ink, then added Stampin’ Blends in Real Red to the berries. This card is so clean & traditional, friendly & bright. – I really like it.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Magic Card

Good Saturday! If you’re a demonstrator, today is a special day – OnStage @Home! We learn all kinds of new tricks & tips PLUS we see the next new catalog – the Jan-April 2024 Catalog & the Sale-a-bration Catalog as well. We’ll work with some of the new products we were able to order as well. :O) It’s going to be a F-U-N day!

OK, my card…

I’ve used a couple of products here on the card front: Three-Color Glimmer Paper in Pretty Peacock (an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE), the Snowflake Magic DSP from the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog, Chic Dies from the Annual Catalog (snowflakes), Christmas Classics Dies (to die cut the banner) and Brightest Glow stamp set for the sentiment. I also added a single Festive Pearl to the two die cut snowflakes on the banner. The snowflakes were die cut from a scrap of the Snowflake Magic DSP and layered with a trimmed down dimensional. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark ink and sprinkled with Silver Embossing Powder then heat set. It’s so fun to see the embossing powder come to ‘life’ so to speak.

For the inside… on a Basic White panel stamp the sentiment from Brightest Glow stamp set (Annual Catalog) in Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the two snowflakes in Lost Lagoon ink using the Season of Chic stamp set.

For the envelope, the same snowflake was stamped on the envelope front in Lost Lagoon ink using the Season of Chic stamp set. The flap got more of the Snowflake Magic DSP adhered & trimmed to fit. Love the simplicity and fun of this card! Hope you do as well.

Snowflake Magic DSP – 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, adhere to same size card stock for strength then to card front with dimensionals; scrap for die cut snowflakes; 2 1/4 x 6 for envelope flap

Basic White – 1 x 4 (banner); 4 x 5 1/4 (inside panel)

Stampin’ Up! Joy of Noel for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s hop time… every Thursday our group does a fabulous hop creating cards, note cards, boxes, special items, to meet the challenge of the week. This week is a sketch challenge and I find these the easiest to do for some reason.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday sketch Challenge

What do you think? Does my card match the challenge? I think so! What did I do, how did I make this, what supplies did I use?

I cut three panels of Joy of Christmas 12×12 DSP to cover the entire card front & adhered them to the Real Red card base.
With my embossing buddy, I cleared the top panel and stamped the sentiment (Christmas Classics stamp set) with VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder & heat set it.
I stamped the large image(Joy of Noel stamp set)in Memento Black ink and colored it with several Stampin’ Blends
- Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Dark Real Red, Dark Cherry Cobbler
- Die cut image with coordinating die (Joy of Noel Dies)
Die cut pine boughs (Joy of Noel Dies) from Old Olive card stock
Add Large Check Ribbon to card front with Stampin’ Seal
Add pine boughs with Stampin’ Seal
Add large colored image with dimensionals
Add three Loose Holly Gems & Sequins near sentiment – done!

For the inside, I stamped this delightful holly stamp from Christmas Classics stamp set in Memento ink, then the berries from the same stamp set in Real Red ink: To color the holly I used Stampin’ Blends Shaded Spruce. All this on a Basic White panel and then adhered to the inside of the card.

For the envelope, more of the Joy of Christmas DSP on the flap, adhered & trimmed to fit. On the front, the very same holly and berries stamped in Memento ink using the Christmas Classics stamp set. These were colored with Stampin’ Blends for the holly and the berries stamped in Real Red ink.

Choosing the background papers was the most difficult for me :O], but I like the finished product, although a bit darker than I would like. Anyhoo… on with the hop!
