Stampin’ Up! Christmas Tags w/ Scraps

Wow – Christmas is just around the corner… are you ready? I’m getting there, making tags right now for presents hubby & I will deliver. Christmas together with extended family will have to wait until next year. It will be better than ever, just by being together. So not complaining, just wistful I guess.

I tend to keep scraps from various Designer Series Papers and it was kinda fun mixing and matching.

Christmas Tags w/ scraps ~ #1 , 2

It the far left picture, I used papers from a couple of different sources: ‘Tis the Season 6×6 DSP, green plaid & red tree; Feels Like Frost 6×6 DSP. The stamped sentiment is from the new Many Messages stamp set & Messages Dies (available to customers Jan 5, 2021: the ‘Merry Christmas’ is from Perfectly Plaid stamp set, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.

In the far right photo, Feels Like Frost 6×6 DSP was used on both tags, along with more of the Tis The Season 6×6 DSP and tags from the new Many Messages stamp set & Messages Dies.

I began with Whisper White card stock cut 2″ wide and 5 1/4″ in length. The tops were punched using the Fancy Tag Topper punch and the bottoms using the Triple Banner Punch, which shortened them some; ribbons were Metallic Edge Ribbon in Silver plus All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack in Poppy Parade. The DSP used were already in strips of various widths, I just used what was on hand, never measuring, sorry, and layered. The trees were punched using the Pine Tree Punch and sentiments are all on dimensionals. Star Elements were added to the trees. The back of the tags were left plain to write ‘To and From’. Products may be found later in this post 😁

Stampin’ Up! Packaging with Designer Series Paper

Oh I DID have fun yesterday ya’ll. I wrapped packages! They are prayer books for a group of folks that walk beside another when they are ‘hurting’, when they are in need of comfort, when they need to hear God loves them and we, as people, do too. The group is called Stephen Ministry and everyone is specially trained to listen. That’s the hardest thing in the world for everyone… it seems we always have an opinion. so in Stephen Ministry we don’t do opinions: we listen, intentionally listen. And these sweet packages are for those Stephen Ministers.

The packaging… I used Trimming The Town Designer Series Paper and I’m really pleased with how they turned out. I made the packaging like an envelope.

Packaging with DSP

Pictures don’t do these items justice – in person they are cute, cute. The above package uses Trimming The Town DSP, Diagonal Stripe Ribbon in Old Olive, So Many Snowflakes Dies, Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and one Glitter Star Ornaments. Stampin’ Up! makes a list on their DSP packaging, of all the coordinating colors for that particular design. It makes it so much easier to make a card – or in this case, a package, look marvelous.

Let me share with you how I did this…

Packaging with DSP

This is the inside and it’s all trimmed of the excess paper. You can see at the far right and at the bottom, the Tear n Tape used for sealing. I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round the edges of the top & bottom flaps. This makes a perfect envelope for the book. Measurements vary for your own book; for this one it’s 10″ wide x 9 1/4″ in height.

  • Score at the top 1 3/8″
  • Score at the bottom 3/8″ & 1″
  • Score the sides at 2 3/4″ & 7″
  • I then laid my book on the score lines, wrapped each side over the book and gently pressed with my bone folder to create the depth for the book and another score line. The reason for this process is the depth of the book did not fall into a score line and I wanted the book to fit snugly, not be moving around.
  • Burnish all score lines then trim as shown above.
  • Once you have trimmed, put the book back on the DSP, remove the Tear n Tape and wrap the right side over the left to seal.
  • Fold in the short tabs at the bottom, remove the Tear n Tape and fold over the book. :O) A perfect envelope…. the book can be pulled out with ease as the top is not sealed. The ribbon keeps the package closed.
  • Decorate with ribbon and embellishments to your hearts content.

Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Fun Fold

Hello! It’s MONDAY, start of a new week – woohoo! Special plans/ opportunities/ or challenges set for yourself? I’m excited about sharing today’s project with you. I have created other Poinsettia Petals cards but not with watercolor. And that’s what I have done for today – watercolor… One of the things I have learned in this card making process, is it doesn’t have to be complicated to be beautiful. This card is not complicated, a bit time consuming maybe, but easy to break up into portions to keep the process moving along. I don’t do watercoloring nearly often enough and maybe this creation will get me back to it – as I enjoyed it quite a lot. Here’s my card…

Poinsettias Fun Fold – #1

Isn’t this pretty? I love the layers and the In Good Taste DSP creates a wonderfully simple background to show off this flower.

Process & Details…

  • First we stamp the three poinsettia petals & at least three holly leaves using Versamark ink on the Watercolor Paper – yep, Poinsettia Petals stamp set. And yes, do clean the paper by swiping it with the embossing buddy first. Swish in Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with your heat gun.
  • Watercolor using the new Water Painters: Cherry Cobbler ink & Real Red ink for the poinsettia petals; Old Olive ink and Garden Green ink for the holly leaves. I like to stamp my ink pad on an acrylic block and using my Water Painter add a bit of water, creating the depth of color I want. Begin with the lighter shade and add the darker. My poinsettias/ leaves turned out a bit lighter than I like but they are still beautiful. Set aside to dry.
  • Cut Crumb Cake card stock for the card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Cover with In Good Taste DSP 4 x 5 1/4 using liquid glue.
  • Cut another Crumb cake panel 3 1/2 x 8 1/2, scoring at 4 1/4. Adhere to the center of the card base panel with liquid glue. Adhere another panel of In Good Taste DSP to this folded front panel 3 1/4 x 4.
  • The watercolored Poinsettia Petals pieces should all be dry now, so die cut those with the Poinsetttia Dies.
  • Die cut at least three berry sprigs from the Poinsettia Dies from Brushed Metallic Paper in Gold.
  • Curl the poinsettia petals with a bone folder (the watercolor paper allows this beautifully) and put together with dimensionals. Adhere the beautiful Beaded Pearls element to the center.
  • Adhere this poinsettia to the card front with liquid glue and add the holly leaves & berry die cuts to suit you. Yes, I did curl the leaves also, and I pulled up the berries a bit once dry. I love this three-dimensional look!
  • Stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink to a strip of Whisper White card stock and fussy cut. The sentiment comes from this wonderful Poinsettia Petals stamp set. Curl with the bone folder so the center is raised and each end as well. Double the dimensionals for the center of the sentiment and adherer with liquid glue just before the end curl and the card front is done!
  • Cut a panel of Whisper White card stock 3 1/4 x 4, stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink – again with a sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. Stamp the pine bow in Garden Green ink – and yes, it is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.
  • Adhere another panel of In Good Taste DSP (2 1/4 x 6) to the envelope flap and trim to fit. Stamp the pine bow over it in Garden Green ink. Also stamp the pine bow on the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! So Many Snowflakes Dies & Snow Wonder

Hello there! Today’s card features the extra gorgeous So Many Snowflakes Dies and I paired it with Snow Wonder stamp set for the sentiment on the front. What was extra fun was using the new SU! Blending Brushes ~ they are wonderful!!! And… they come in a 3-pack – eeeee. For some reason I cannot get my computer to allow me to share a photo of the brushes – but they are awesome… and will be available in the upcoming Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog.

Now – to the card… here’s a sneak peek…

So Many Snowflakes Dies & Snow Wonder – #1

The how to :O)…

  • Die cut the largest snowflake from Whisper White card stock using the So Many Snowflakes Dies
  • Using that panel and one of the new Blending Brushes, tap the brush in Balmy Blue ink and blend the color, creating a shadow of snowflakes on the 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Whisper White card stock. Continue to cover, moving the snowflake ‘stencil’ around so there are several shadows on the panel. It should look something like this. Notice there are varying shades of the Balmy Blue ink.

  • Cut an Adhesive Sheet to 4 x 5 1/4, peel the backing and adhere to a panel of 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White card stock
  • Die cut several snowflakes of varying sizes using the So Many Snowflakes Dies and the Whisper White card stock with the Adhesive Sheet on it.
  • Remove the backing on the die cut snowflakes one at a time as you lay them on the ‘shadowed’ card front
  • Stamp the sentiment using the Snow Wonder stamp set in Balmy Blue ink on a 1 x 4 strip of Whisper White
  • Adhere this to a 1 1/4 x 4 strip of Balmy Blue card stock
  • Adhere the sentiment panel to the card front using dimensionals
  • Die cut yet another snowflake, this time from the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper – love this paper! Adhere to the sentiment panel with a couple of dots of liquid glue.
  • Add some glittery Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems to several of the snowflakes
  • Adhere this panel to the Balmy Blue card base (4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2) and the card front is done.
So Many Snowflakes Dies & Snow Wonder – #3

The inside & the envelope…

You can see in the photo above and below that I used one of the die cut ‘outlines’ as a stencil, the Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink. I did this on the envelope front and on the envelope flap. I also did it on the 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Whisper White for the inside of the card. Then I adhered one of the leftover die cut snowflakes that had adhesive on the back and placed it over one of the snowflakes stenciled on the panel. I liked the effect this created. This panel was adhered to the inside of the card base and voila…

Hello again! Today’s card is another Christmas card. Somehow I can’t quit making them ~ it’s one of my favorite times of year. So, here we go… this was a CASE of a card made by Amy Koenders.

Joyful Holly ~ #1

Isn’t this cheerful? Here are the details…

  • The card base is Thick Whisper White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
  • Layer a panel of Tis The Season 6×6 DSP 3 3/4 x 5. I adhered mine to the far left for a bit of a different look – yep, liquid glue is my ‘go to’.
  • Cut a banner in Garden Green card stock 1 5/8 x 5 and punch a banner end with the Triple Banner Punch. Adhere to the card front with liquid glue
  • Cut another length, this time in Whisper White 2 x 5. Stamp the images using the Jolly Holly stamp set in Garden Green ink. Stamp the inner pattern for the holly in Garden Green ink as well. Stamp the berries in Real Red ink. Trim the end using the same Triple Banner Punch. Adhere to the card front with liquid glue.
  • Cut another strip, this time in Pear Pizzazz card stock 1 x 3 1/2. Trim both ends with the very fun Banner Pick a Punch. Adhere with liquid glue.
  • Using the 2″ Circle Punch and Shaded Spruce card stock, punch a circle :O)
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Jolly Holly stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of Whisper White. Punch it out using the Everyday Label Punch. Adhere this to the circle with liquid glue.
  • Adhere the circle & sentiment to the card front with dimensionals.
  • Add a fun bow using the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. This adds a nice sparkle to the card.
  • Add the red elements from the All The Trimmings Embellishments and your card front is done.

For the inside…

Joyful Holly inside – #2

I love the simplicity of the inside of this card. It uses the same stamp as the front, but no filler stamp – just the outline – and gives the holly branch a totally different look.

  • Stamp the outline image of the holly using the Joyful Holly stamp set in Garden Green ink on a panel of 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White card stock.
  • Stamp the sentiment, also from the Joyful Holly stamp set in
    Garden green ink
  • Adhere the panel to the inside of the card base with liquid glue and your card is complete. YAY!

I love this card, it is bright and cheerful, friendly. Let’s take another peek at the card front.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Christmas

Today’s post is all about Christmas using the Peaceful Boughs stamp set with coordinating Beautiful Boughs Dies. I couldn’t help it – there are two cards for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop using the Christmas/ Holiday theme. I think you will find some wonderful inspiration on this hop. Enjoy…

My first card is made using the Wonder of The Season MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES as my card base.

Peaceful Boughs bundle & Toile Christmas bundle

It is so shiny, it was really difficult to get a good photo…

  • Pear Pizzazz card stock is the bottom layer cut to 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 (cut 2 – one for inside) + scraps for the boughs.
  • Red Foil Sheets is next and cut 3 x 4. Adhere to the Pear Pizzazz with liquid glue
  • Die cut two single pine boughs from Pear Pizzazz card stock using the Beautiful Boughs Dies.
  • Die cut one triple bough from Shaded Spruce card stock using the Beautiful Boughs Dies
  • Die cut two pine cones from either Soft Suede card stock or Early Espresso card stock. (The card stock in the photo is a retired color)
  • Adhere the pine boughs to the Red Foil layer with liquid glue. Adhere the pine cones with dimensionals.
  • Add the Linen Thread & Gold Cord bow with a glue dot to the pine cones
  • Stamp the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink using the Toile Christmas stamp set. Die cut with the Christmas Cardinal Dies that coordinate with Toile Christmas stamp set.
  • Adhere the sentiment banner with dimensionals to the Red Foil layer.
  • Adhere this completed layer to the card front with dimensionals.

for the inside…

  • Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of Whisper White cut 3 x 4
  • Adhere this Whisper White panel to Pear Pizzazz card stock cut 3 1/8 x 4 1/8
  • Adhere this completed panel to the inside of the card and voila! the card is complete…

The second card uses the Beautiful Boughs Dies, Painted Labels Dies and the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

  • The card base is Thick Whisper White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
  • The embossed layer is Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4 using the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder and adhered with liquid glue to the card base
  • Cut Shaded Spruce card stock 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
  • Cut Neutrals DSP (Soft Suede) 3 x 3. Adhere to the Shaded Spruce panel with liquid glue.
  • Die cut two single boughs using the Beautiful Boughs Dies and Pear Pizzazz card stock
  • Die cut one triple bough using the Beautiful Boughs Dies and Shaded Spruce card stock
  • Adhere the boughs to the DSP panel with liquid glue
  • Die cut a single pine cone using the Beautiful Boughs Dies from Soft Suede card stock. Adhere with dimesnionals.
  • Tie a bow using Braided Linen Trim in Mossy Meadow (NEW ITEM!) and Gold Cord from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack. Adhere with a glue dot.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Garden Green ink on a 1/2″ strip of Whisper White. The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. Made a banner at one end.
  • Die cut a decorative strip using the Brushed Metallic Paper and the Painted Labels Dies. Adhere with liquid glue to the back of the sentiment banner. Add dimensionals to the right end of the banner and adhere to the card front. I also suggest putting some liquid glue on the left end of the sentiment banner to adhere to the pine bough square.

For the inside… and the envelope…

  • Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede ink on Whisper White card stock cut to 4 x 5 1/4. The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set.
  • Stamp the pine boughs (yep, from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set) in Soft Suede ink, stamping off at least once, twice might be even better.
  • Cut a strip of the Neutrals DSP 2 1/4 x 6 and adhere to the envelope flap with liquid glue. Trim to fit. YEAH! Card is done, done, done!

Merry Moose Notecard

Today’s card is just so sweet – and yet it is also masculine. It would be perfect for a man for just about any occasion, but I have chosen it to be a Christmas card. The Merry Moose stamp set and coordinating Moose Punch are a carryover from last years catalog – and I love the sentiments and images in this set.

Merry Moose Notecard – #1

The finished size of the notecards is 3 1/2 x 5 – a perfect size for a quick note. For this particular card I hav e adhered Merry Merlot card stock – a nice masculine color – that is cut 3 1/4 x 4 3/4. Adhered to that on dimensionals is a panel of Plaid Tidings 6×6 DSP. For some added strength to the DSP I did adhere with liquid glue a piece of Whisper White slightly smaller in size.

Next I added a length of the Black/ White Bakers Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack, and tied it in a bow, placed a glue dot just beneath the knot to keep it in place. Then come these cute moose marching across… one in Basic Black card stock and one in Whisper White card stock. They were punched with the Moose Punch – so quick and easy! They are mounted on dimensionals as well. For a final touch I added three white elements from the All The Trimmings Embellishments and the card front was complete. I love the simplicity of this notecard.

For the inside… and the envelope…

Merry Moose Notecard, inside – #2

I choose to stamp the larger tree from the Merry Moose stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink and the added grass in Garden Green ink (hard to tell that). The sentiment, also from the Merry Moose stamp set is stamped in Merry Merlot ink. For the envelope, I used the same design from the Plaid Tidings 6×6 DSP and adhered it to the envelope flap. Done, done, done.

Here’s a last look at the completed project – and as I said b efore, I love the simplicity of this card.

Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas, Curvy Dies

Oh it is fun to play with this Curvy business ~ Curvy Christmas is only a part of it… Here’s the whole of it… The Quite Curvy Variety Bundle consists of the Quite Curvy stamp set & the Curvy Dies. These will carry over to the 2021 catalog. The Curvy Christmas and Classic Christmas 6×6 DSP will not carry over but are available to order as of YESTERDAY, NOV 3 and can be purchased as part of the variety bundle or separately. Honestly – this variety bundle is worth the investment, but of course, that is a decision you will have to make.

Todays card features the Curvy Christmas stamp set, the Curvy Dies AND the Classic Christmas 6×6 DSP.

Curvy C’mas, Curvy Dies, Classic C’mas 6×6 DSP

I used quite a few of the elements in the stamp set ~ all of them curvy ~ and I love it. The trees, the stars, the sentiments ~ this one looks a bit country, what do you say? Let’s break it down so you can create one of your own.

  • the card base is Sahara Sand cs 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
  • the next layer has several facets to it: Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4, Classic C’mas 6×6 DSP 3 x 5 1/4. (I cut it at 3 so there would be leftover for the envelope flap) and the top layer is Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4 cut with the Curvy Dies.
  • I began by cutting the the top panel then stamping it with the various stamps: the sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, then the trees with Shaded Spruce ink, then the stars with Versamark and embossed in Gold. Remember to use the embossing buddy before stamping with Versamark. This releases any static that will draw additional embossing powder where you don’t want it. Ask me how I know that 😞 I used my Stamparatus for stamping everything. That way if the image/ sentiment isn’t quite right, it’s easy to re-ink and stamp again in the exact same spot. And these are long stamps. Just sayin’… save yourself some frustration by using the Stamparatus.
  • Adhere the Sahara Sand Classic C’mas 6×6 DSP to the Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4 panel with liquid glue. Adhere the stamped curvy panel with liquid glue. Put dimensionals on the back and attach to the Sahara Sand card base.
  • Add 3 beautiful Holiday Rhinestone Jewels to the sentiment and your card front is done.

For the inside..

  • I stamped the precious bow in Cherry Cobbler ink on the 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Whisper White.
  • I then stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink. Both of these come from the Curvy C’mas stamp set.
  • The next step was sponging the edges with Sahara Sand ink using a sponge dauber. This completed the country look I was looking for. :O)
  • Adhere the panel to the card base with liquid glue and the card is complete.

The envelope…

I used the leftover panel of Classic C’mas 6×6 DSP in Sahara Sand but turned it over to the pine branches side; adhered it to the envelope flap, trimmed to fit. This totally coordinates with the pine branches stamp used, in Shaded Spruce ink, along the border of the envelope.

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes Side-fold Card

Hi folks! What are you up to on this ‘day after’ the time roll-back? Me? Well it’s fairly cool here and raining outside , so I’m not out playing in the raindrops… What I DID do is make this fun card to share with you today using the Snowflake Wishes Bundle and the gorgeous paper of the Snowflake Splendor DSP. The idea to make this card came from my upline, Mary Deatherage. She does fabulous work and is an inspiration. Here’s the card and you’ll see why it is called a ‘side-fold’.

Snowflake Wishes Side-fold Card – #1 & 2

Isn’t this stunning? The Snowflake Splendor DSP does all the work for me. And the So Many Snowflake Dies (part of the bundle) just add to the gorgeousness.

Let’s take it apart and re-create it…

  • Thick Whisper White card base – 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 4 1/4 & 5 1/2
  • Pacific Point – 1 x 4, 4 x 4 (front of card), 2″ square (snowflake); 4 x 4 (inside of the card)
  • Snowflake Splendor DSP – 7/8 x 3 7/8, 3 7/8 square (front of card)
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 1 (sentiment banner), 1 1/2 square (snowflake;, 3 7/8 square for inside
  • Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper – 2 1/2 square for snowflake

Take the Thick Whisper White card base and fold it on the 5 1/2 scoreline (this is the valley fold on the card)n with the 4 1/4″ score line facing you; fold that section back (this is the mountain fold). Adhere that 1 1/4″ area together with liquid glue. See photo #2 above for reference. Mark the center of that 1 1/4″ area at top & bottom, then use the Classic Label punch to create very small notches for the ribbon (which will be added later).

Now you are ready to decorate this panel… Adhere with liquid glue the 7/8 x 3 7/8 DSP to the Pacific Point 1 x 4. Adhere this to the 1 1/4″ strip of the card base with the punched notches for ribbon. Adhere the 3 7/8″ DSP square to the 4″ square of Pacific Point – with liquid glue; then adhere to the right front panel. Beautiful already isn’t it – even without the embellishing of snowflakes, gems, and ribbon.

  • Stamp the sentiment on Whisper White using Pacific Point ink. Die cut using the Ornate Frames Dies. NOTE: the die is smaller than the sentiment! How do you make it longer? Die cut half the area by placing the clear cutting plate on 2/3 of the die, run it through the die cutting machine, move the die to the end of the sentiment, aligning the cutting lines; cover that section with the clear cutting plate, run it through the die cutting machine and VOILA! This may take some practice but if I can do it – so can you!!! Put dimensionals on the back and adhere to the card front.
  • Create the snowflake: larger snowflake in Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, medium snowflake in Pacific Point and the smallest snowflake in Whisper White. Adhere together with liquid glue (just in the centers of each snowflake); add dimensionals to the largest snowflake and adhere as shown.
  • Add several Rhinestone Basic Jewels (I used 7) AND Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (I used 3) for glam.
  • Wrap a long length of the Misty Moonlight/ silver Bakers Twine from the Flowers For Every Season Combo Pack around the 1 1/4″ area, fitting it in the notches and tie a bow. Adhere the bow with a glue dot.

Love, love, love this! But we are finished yet; we must do the inside.

Snowflake Wishes Side-fold Card, inside – #3
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Pacific point on the 3 7/8″ square. Adhere it to the 4″ square of Pacific Point with liquid glue, then to the card inside.
  • Adhere several stars (I added 3) die cut from the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. These were from a previous project and left over, but I used the Stitched Stars Dies to create them.

For the envelope… Take another snowflake stamp from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and stamp the envelope front in Pacific point ink. Cover the envelope flap with more of this wonderful Snowflake Splendor DSP, trim to fit.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Gleaming Fun Fold

This fun fold is a new one for me and I really enjoyed doing it. Using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and the Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP really brought it to life. The fun fold is called a Pull tab pop-up card.

In the pictures above you can see the pull tab with the ribbon with the pop-up closed. In the right photo the pop-up has been pulled open. AND the card has an inside to it as well – but we’ll get to that later. Let’s begin with some specific card stock cuts for the front of the card.

  • card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Here I used Thick Very Vanilla.
  • layer 1 is 3 3/4 x 5 and I used Brushed Metallic in copper
  • layer 2 is the DSP 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 – Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP
  • the pull tab pop-up layer…
    • the tab is 2 x 6 scored at 2 & 2 1/2, then punched on the long end with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch (Night of Navy for this card)
    • die cut 3 stitched squares for the front of the pop-up using the Stitched Shapes Dies: 1 large from Night of Navy, 1 next to largest in the Brushed Metallic Copper, and the next size down in
    • the Brightly Gleaming SDSP
  • the sentiment layer of the pull tab…
    • die cut 2 stitched squares using the Stitched Shapes Dies: 1 next to largest in Night of Navy and 1 in next smaller square in Very Vanilla for the sentiment

Directions for putting the pull tab together….

  • Put the front 3 layers together using liquid glue: Night of Navy, then Brushed Metallic, then the SDSP. Add a gilded Gem to the center of the SDSP. Set this front panel aside.
    • with the scalloped end of the pull tab to the right, and the tab folded forward on the 2″ mark, adhere the remaining Night of Navy square to it with liquid glue, butting it up against the fold.
    • now fold on the 2 1/2″ score and add a strip of Tear n Tape between the score lines. Adhere the decorated front panel again adhering against the 2 1/2″ fold line. This larger square should now completely cover the smaller sentiment square.
  • Stamp the sentiment using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and Pretty Peacock ink onto the Very Vanilla stitched square. Adhere to the inner Night of Navy square with liquid glue. Your pull tab. is now ready to install 😁.

Directions for adhering the pull tab into the card.

  • with the 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 piece of Brightly Gleaming SDSP and the Classic Label Punch, make a vertical “slit” for the tab, centering it vertically. It should be centered both vertically and horizontally
  • slip the scalloped end of the tab through from the top and add a ribbon (Very Vanilla 1/2″ ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack was used here). Staple to the tab
  • the next step is to adhere the tab to the front of the SDSP :
    • the tab is through the punched opening with the decorated front panel face down and the sentiment panel showing.
    • adhere a strip of Tear n Tape to the right hand side of the BACK of the sentiment panel.
    • bring the decorated front panel forward making certain it is centered on the SDSP front and press – adhering the tab.
  • adhere this SDSP panel & pull tab to the Brushed Metallic copper panel with liquid glue
  • Put dimensionals on the back, avoiding the pull tab area and adhere to the Very Vanilla card base. VOILA! Your card front is complete.😉

For the inside and the envelope…

You have done all the hard part – the rest is easy…

  • stamp the ornament & the sentiment using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set & Pretty Peacock ink on the Very Vanilla panel (3 3/4 x 5)
  • adhere to a piece of Night of Navy (4 x 5 1/4) with liquid glue and then into the card base with liquid glue.
  • for the envelope, adhere a strip (2 1/4 x 6) of the Brightly Gleaming SDSP to the envelope flap with liquid glue and trim.
  • stamp the smaller ornament to the envelope front with the Christmas Gleaming stamp set & Pretty Peacock ink. Your card is DONE…

I hope my directions are clear… more pictures of the steps might have helped. Having said that, if you try to follow the step by step it will get the desired result.
