Stampin’ Up! NEW Country Flowers Sympathy Card

Tuesday May 7 – how time flies. The gardens are filling out, some flowers are in their glory and others are still awakening from their winter sleep. This is a glorious time of year – at least for me. It is disheartening to see others suffer so much with allergies though… Jumping from that thought right into my card for today…

Stampin' Up! Country Flowers Bundle Sympathy Card front

I love monochromatic cards, maybe you have noticed that. But now & then a monochromatic card needs something more – and this card was that, needing more. I started this card with wanting to show off the Designer Series Paper – Country Lace 12×12 DSP. Thick Basic White is the card base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. I layered that with a Basic White panel run through the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it directly to the card base. I cut three Designer Series Panels 1 1/4 x 3 3/4 and adhered them to a Basic Beige (NEW COLOR) panel 4 1/4 x 3 3/4. I wrapped a Bordered Ribbon in Basic Beige around the panels and secured them in back, I added dimensionals to this and centered it on the card front. Color – it needed color… I pulled out Highland Heather card stock and stamped the tepot from the Country Flowers stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating Country Flowers Dies. I stamped the flower bouquet in Memento ink on a Basic White piece and colored it with stampin’ Blends: Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow for the leaves, Petal Pink and Highland Heather for the flowers. I attached the teapot with dimensionasls, having it overhang the panels, then added the bouquet, also with dimensionals. For a sentiment, I used one from the Country Flowers stamp set, but it would not have to be a sympathy card is you wanted it for something else, as there others in the set.I pulled out Unbounded Love Dies and die cut the sentiment, put dimensionals on just the upper portion and placed it over the ribbon. As a final touch – Glossy Dots Assortment with a bit of shine filled my need – in Gorgeous Grape. Fine Shimmer Purple Gems could have worked as well.

Stampin' Up! Country Flowers Bundle Sympather Card inside

For the inside of the card… a panel of Basic Beige – subtle contrast to the white card base – and a panel of the Country Lace 12×12 DSP, stamped with a sentiment from the Country Flowers stamp set (Memento ink).

Stampin' Up! Country Flowers Bundle Sympathy Card & envelope

I kept the envelope super simple – a piece of the Country Lace 12×12 DSP 2 1/4 x 6 – adhered to the envelope flap and trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ Up! 24-26 In Color Peach Pie & Unbounded Love

Good Sunday morning. I’ve been attending a convention the past couple of days asnd while I thought this post went out, it didn’t. :O( Those of you who ordered DSP/ Ribbon shares from me – may have received your package already – or will perhaps on Monday. My overnight order arrived Thursday noon just as I was leaving for convention – so U packed everything up – paper trimmer, boxes for mailing, scissors – all that, & off I went. Timing is everything! Got the packages mailed Friday afternoon. :O) Now – the reason you are on my blog today is to see a creation of some sort – and here it is…

Stampin' Up! 24-26 In Color Peach Pie & Unbounded Love card front

This is such pretty DSP – the 24-26 In Color 6×6 pack. Here’s what I did… I layered one of the Peach Pie designs on the Thick Basic White card front and adhered it in place. I cut the leaf piece 2 3/4 x 4 1/2, then layered it on Pumpkin Pie just slightly larger. I wrapped a length of the B ordered Ribbon in Peach Pie and tied a bow, securing it in place with a glue dot.I added another Peach Pie card stock layer cut larger yet, then added these to the card front. It created a nice layering effect. I pulled out this simple sentiment from the New Unbounded Love stamp set and stamped it in Peach Pie ink, then die cut it with the Unbounded Love Dies., added dimensionals to the back and put in place. Let me just add here, this Unbounded Love Bundle is a sentiment bundle and the stamps & dies are wonderful! There’s nothing like having more sentiments in your stash. As a final touch – a bit of bling with the 24-26 In Color Gems, in Peach Pie of course. Monochromatic card all the way :O)

Stampin' Up! 24-26 In Color Peach Pie, inside card

Using a scrap of the 24-26 In Color DSP 6×6 Peach Pie, I added the 1/2″ strip to the Basic White card panel (4 x 5 1/4) – and that was it.

Stampin' Up! 24-26 In Color Peach Pie and Unbounded Love bundle

For the envelope… another panel of the 24-26 In Color 6×6 Peach Pie was added to the envelope flap & trimmed to fit. Love this card showing off this particular pack of DSP!

Stampin’ Up! Take To The Sky for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to Thursday and another fun and Happy Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! We have a color challenge today – can you figure out what colors I used? HA! I’ve used new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog products – Take to the Sky DSPand the Adventurous Sky Bundle plus Industrial Trinkets – all from the Suite :0)

Stampin' Up! Take To The Sky card front

I began with a Night of Navy cardstock cut 5 1/2 x 6 and scored on the long side @ 4 1/4. I cut apiece of Take To The Sky DSP 31/2 it to the x 5 1/2 and adhered to the 1 1/2x 5 1/2″ side. Cut anther piece of Night of Navy 1 x 5 1/2 and run it through an embossing folder – I used a new So Swirly EF. I added it to the front of the Night of Navy card, equidistant between the fold and the DSP. I wrapped a length of Baker’s Twine in gray around the cardstock and tied a knot. I used the wonderful biplane stamp and Smoky Slate ink to stamp on Basic White. I die cut it with the coordinating die from Adventurous Sky Dies. I colored the plane with Stampin’ Blends Copper Clay & Smoky Slate, and a bit of Basic Black. I added it ti the card front with dimensionals. I added three Industrial Trinkets – and the card front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Take To The Sky inside card

For the inside… I cut a piece of Basic White, stamped the clouds from the Take To The Sky stamp set in Boho Blue and the sentiment from the same stamp set and same ink. I adhered this to the inside of the card. Notice how the back side of the DSP shows so very clearly – I like this business of the DSP sharing both sides.

Stampin' Up! Take To The Sky card & envelope

For the envelope, I wanted to keep it very simple – similar to the card – so only used the same Take To The Sky DSP to the flap & trimmed it to fit. And that was it.

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Journey Hello Card

Good morning – May 1, the start of the NEW 2024-2025 ANNUAL CATALOG. Yeeha – it goes live today! I have a couple of new team members I want to welcome so created a card with the Thoughtful Journey DSP. This is such pretty paper and I chose this pattern to showcase today.

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Journey Hello Card

I cut the DSP 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 then on the short side cut it in half again, creating two strips. The strip on the left I cut 1 3/4 off the top. The remaining strip I cut 1 3/4 off the bottom. Laying them on a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock 4 x 5 1/4 created this pretty scene. I adhered the pieces in place, keeping the spaces even all around then added that to a Thick Basic White card base. The stamped sentiment is done in Mossy Meadow ink using the Unbounded Love stamp set. I cut it with a banner die in the Unbounded Love dies. I took a length of Linen thread and wrapped it around a bit, then added it to the back of the sentiment die cut, adhering it in place first with Stampin’ Seal+, then added a couple of dimensionals. After attaching it to the card, I trimmed the one end. I added three Purple Shimmer Gems as a final touch

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Wishes, inside card

For the inside, I pulled out Thoughtful wishes stamp set and with Markers, inked the stamp: Blackberry Bliss for the flower part and Mossy Meadow for the stem/ leaves. I gave it a good haw with my breath to add a bit of moisture and stamped it on a piece of Basic White. I die cut it with the coordinating die in Thoughtful Wishes Dies and added it to a 3 3/4 x 5 Basic White and Mossy Meadow 4 x 5 1/4 for the inside of the card. Welcome, welcome!

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Journey

For the envelope, I pulled another of the beautiful DSP from Thoughtful Journey pack and added it to the envelope flap and to the bottom of the envelope front. This paper looks like watercolor images and are just stunning.

Stampin’ Up! Retiring DSP Thank You Cards

HelIo again – it is April 30 – the final day of two catalogs: the Jan-Apr 2024 catalog and the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. decided to share one more card – or 3 – of the same layout, but in retiring papers… These cards use Forever Love 12×12 SDSP and Poetic Expressions DSP. + the Color & Contour bundle. Here they are…

Stampin' Up! Forever Love SDSP Thank you card front
Card 1 w/ Forever Love SDSP
Stampin' Up! Poetic Expressions DSP Thank You card front
Cards 3 & 2 w/ Poetic Expressions DSP

Card 1 uses Pretty Peacock card base and is layered with Forever Love SDSP and Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper, Pretty Peacock Foil Gems and Gold ribbon. I used Stitched Shapes Dies to create the sentiment .

Card 2 uses Thick Basic White for the card base, a layer of Wild Wheat embossed with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder, then the layers of Poetic Expressions DSP. This card uses the Textured Ribbon in Wild Wheat, the Color & Contour stamp set for the sentiment, die cut with the same Stitched Shapes Dies circle. This was embellished with the 24-26 In Color Shimmer Gems in pink.

Card 3 is so similar… the difference is Wild Wheat card base and embellishments of 23-25 In Color Dots in Wild Wheat. Everything else is the same as card 2.

Stampin' Up! Forever Love & Pretty Peacock thank you card, inside
Card 1, inside
Stampin' Up! Poetic Expressions Thank You Card, inside
Cards 2 & 3 same inside

The inside of the cards are similar as well… a flower stamped then stamped again with a filler stamp w/ second generation ink. On the Pretty Peacock card, I added a layer of the Forever Love SDSP before adhering the inner panel – and of course the flower is stamped with Pretty Peacock ink. The other two cards have no DSP layer for the inside, just the stamped panel in Wild Wheat and second generation ink for the flower ‘filler’.

Card 1, Pretty Peacock
Poetic Expressions DSP Thank You Card
Cards 3 & 2 w/ Poetic Expressions DSP

The envelopes… Pretty Peacock ink was used to stamp the flower on both the envelope flap and the envelope front. On the other two cards I adhered Poetic Expressions DSP to the flap & trimmed to fit and stampoed the flower image in Wild Wheat ink. Finis.

Stampin' Up! Diagonal Split Fun Fold w/ Daisies

Isn’t this pretty? I’m heading to a convention on Thursday and the ‘logo’ is daisies – so what better use of this Delightfully Eclectic DSP and Scalloped Contour Dies? and this fun fold is so quick & easy.

  • Directions
    • * Cut card base – here it is Thick Basic White – 4 1/4 x 10 1/4, score at 5 1/2
    • * Cut Designer Series Paper – Delightfully Eclectic DSP – 4 1/4 x 4 34 and adhere to card front
    • * While this is drying, cut additional pieces of DSP 2 5/8 x 3 15/16 + 2 1/4 x 6 (envelope flap)
    • * Place card front in Paper Trimmer and cut on the diagonal. For my measurements I used 1 1/4 on left upper corner and about 1 1/2 on right lower corner.
    • * Using Basic White card stock and the 2nd largest of the Scalloped Contour Dies, create the scalloped piece. Adhere the small panel(2 5/8 x 3 15/16) of DSP to it’s center. Add dimensionals to the back of this panel, both top & bottom.
    • * Add this panel to the closed card front – top portion only! Remember the cut diagonal removed the bottom :O) It will be about 1/2″ from top of fold and about 5/8″ from each side.
    • * With the card closed, slip the bottom diagonal piece under the scalloped die cut, making it even with the inside of the card bottom & sides. Remove backing on remaining dimensionals and close card.
    • * Using the Sweetly scripted stamp set, Tuxedo Black Memento ink and a 4 1/4 x 1″ strip of Basic White, stamp the preferred sentiment. Add dimensionals to each end and adhere over the die cut panel

Stampin' Up! Diagonal Split card inside

On the inside of the card… on a Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 panel and using the daisy outline stamp from Color & Contour stamp set, stamp in Petal Pink both in the upper right corner and lower left. Now stamp the ‘fill’ image of the flower in stamped off Petal Pink – this is called second generation stamping. Add the panel to the inside of the card – and done! I created at least 3 of these, just like this, then did two others using the Subtles 6×6 DSP in Petal Pink to cover the card front, yet continued with the Delightfully Eclectic Daisy DSP on the Scalloped Contour Die.

Stampin' Up! Diagonal Split Front Fold w/ Scalloped Contour Dies

For the envelope, I used another piece of the Delightfully Eclectic DSP to cover the envelope flap and trimmed it to fit. On the envelope front, I did the same daisy stamp from Color & Contour stamp set with Petal Pink ink. I did the same for all five cards.

Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper Gatefold Card

Good morning.! I’ve been on a ‘kick’ lately about using more of my retiring Designer Series Paper – and I’m happy to say I’m making progress. Of course, in doing that I haven’t been showcasing new items as much as perhaps I should. Having said that, know you can use current DSP & die cuts to your hearts delight -:O)

Stampin' Up! DSP Gatefold Card

This card uses Masterfully Made DSP, which is very colorful and abstract -gives the idea of torn edges. This particular paper has Berry Burst, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry – at least on this card. Here are the deets…

The card base is 4 x 5 1/2 and I used Berry Burst as there is so much of this wonderful color in this particular portion of the DSP. I cut the Designer Series Paper 5 1/4 x 12 and scored it @ 2, 4, 8 & 10. On each short end mark the center (2 5/8) and trim from the score line to the mark, saving that piece to adhere to the front. Fold along score lines mountain, valley, valley, mountain. Adhere this to the card base.

Now it’s time to decorate… I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut a circle from Basic White, then pulled out the Gorgeously Made stamp set (retiring April 30) and stamped images on the circle: the wording in stamped off once Crushed Curry and the lines in Pumpkin Pie, full strength. While this stamp set was on my table, I stamped the same lines image on a piece of Basic White 43 3/4 x 5 across the bottom in Pumpkin Pie ink. I die cut this stunning open leaf from Basic White using the Artistic Dies (also retiring April 30. And now, ready to put together… I closed the card with folds intact and noted where to place the circle so it would be centered on the card front. NOTE>>> when attaching with dimensionals, it’s only on the one side. Remove backing on the dimensionals and add. With the card in the closed position again, add the large leaf die cut with dabs of liquid glue along the stem and tips of leaves – just where it will attach to the circle.Add three Berry Burst dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment – carrying over to the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog! Now add the Basic White stamped panel to the inside of the card – and ready!

Stampin' Up! DSP Gatefold card, inside

Envelope.. Cut another piece of DSP 2 1/4 x 6 and adhere to the envelope flap, trim to fit. Across the front of the envelope, stamp the lines image along the bottom. With no sentiments on this card, it can be sent for just about any reason at all… to a man or a woman. Perfect for your stash! and you can add a sentiment to the inside if you need to, when the time comes.

Stampin' Up! DSP Gatefold card & envelope

A couple of things to remember: this DSP, the Gorgeously Made Bundle and the Artistic Dies are all retiring end of day April 30 – so if you want to get them, do so ASAP in the Last Chance Products.

Stampin’ Up! New Leaf Collection Stamp and Citrus Blooms Dies for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday blog Hop

Welcome! It’s Thursday and we have a sketch challenge for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. I’ve pulled a new stamp from the 24-25 Annual Catalog (goes live to customers May 1) called Leaf Collection and love it! It’s big – a single stamp. I used two colors on this – Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry and added Citrus Blooms Dies as well on the card front.

Stampin' Up! Leaf Collection for blog hop, card front

Here’s what I did.. I used the Stampin’ Up! Glass Mat & placed the stamp leaf side up, inked a portion with the Pumpkin Pie ink pad, then right away inked the other portion with Crushed Curry ink pad. I then used the SU! Brayer to roll over it, blending the colors. I did NOT go back & forth, one direction only from light to dark, then placed my Basic White card stock on top of the inked stamp and pressed with a cardboard piece to make certain the ink transferred evenly. I removed the cardboard and lifted the card stock panel straight up, turned it over and left it alone for a bit to make certain it was good and dry. I then cut it down to size (3 7/8 x 5 1/8. I added this to a Pumpkin Pie cut 4 x 5 1/4, added dimensionals and adhered to a Crushed Curry card base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. I cut a piece of Basic White 2 3/8x 2 3/8 and adhered it to a Pumpkin Pie 2 1/2 x 2 3/8. I cut a piece of Inked Botanicals DSP (retiring Apr 30) 1 x 2 3/8 and adhered it to Crushed Curry 1 1/8 x 2 3/8. Both were added to the card front with dimensionals. I die cut leaves using the Citrus Blooms Dies as they look similar to the leaves of the stamp :O) – in Pumpkin Pie & Crushed Curry. Two were added with dabs of Liquid glue, the other with trimmed dimensionals. As a final touch I added three Glossy Dots.

Stampin' Up! Citrus Blooms stamp set, inside card

For the inside of the card I kept it really simple… I stamped the word happy in Pumpkin Pie ink, then the rest of the sentiment in Crushed Curry ink – both from the Citrus Blooms stamp set. I added this Basic White panel to a Pumpkin Pie piece then both to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Leaf Collection stamp and Inked & Tiled DSP card & envelope

For the envelope, I used another stamp in the Citrus Blooms stamp set and Crushed Curry ink to stamp the envelope front, then added the same Inked Botanicals DSP as on the card front to the envelope flap. This is such a simple, easy card – and could easily be used as a masculine card, which I sometimes struggle making. Such fun working with the Leaf Collection stamp and the Brayer to create this!

Now, time to see what others have created for this hop – I’m always curious as to what other team members create – so don’t miss anyone. Click the next button or click on a name – either way – enjoy the hop!

The Designer Series Paper wrapped around the tin is from the Poetic Expressions pack and it features Moody Mauve. I had to piece it together to get it to wrap all around! The ribbon is a retired one – Natural Ribbon from Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack, now $3.80 on the CLEARANCE RACK! Nested Expressions largest die creates the backdrop for all the floral & sentiment die cuts. The flowers are from Sentimental Park Dies – and this wonderful set is carrying over – die cut in Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve. The leaves are from Thoughtful Expressions Dies and die cut from Granny Apple Green. I used another retiring product – Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels for centers. The love die cut is from the Jan-March Paper Pumpkin add-ons.

Stampin’ Up! April Paper Pumpkin

Good morning – Paper Pumpkin is a monthly creative & inspirational fun box that comes in the mail. This month it is titled Delicate Wings and has all the makings for nine (9) cards with decorated envelopes. The cards are stunning & I made them according to directions – lots of opportunities to use these! Nine cards ready to send in just over an hour – can’t beat that!

Here they are all complete. Now let’s look at each one.

This is my favorite card – and the butterfly is just stunning set on a champagne background piece before attaching to the card front. There is a coordinating die set for this month’s PP and will coordinate with the next two months of Paper Pumpkins as well – so this card gives me inspiration of ways to use one of the dies. :O) The second image above is the inside of the card – a punch-out included in this months PP used on another card – this was a leftover .

Card 2, inside

This is also very pretty and each of the butterflies on this card front was a punch-out provided in the kit. I did add Festive Pearls – a retired item – to the body of each butterfly. On the inside of the card is the stamped image in Basic Gray (provided as an inkspot in the kit) and another extra butterfly punch-out.

Here, card 3, you see the butterfly punch-outs and how they were to be used. Love this! And of course, I added Festive Pearls (retired) to each of the punch-outs. The sentiment panel is stamped with a stamp from the kit – again in Basic Gray, and attached with dimensionals. And on each envelope front is a butterfly stamped image from the stamps included in the kit. The envelope flap in each case is embossed with gold butterflies!

If you so desired, color coordination for these are: Basic Beige, Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon, Moody Mauve, Champagne.

As mentioned earlier, there is a coordinating die set – called Thanks & Beyond. If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can purchase this die set for $12. Want to learn more about being a Paper Pumpkin subscriber – click here!
