Stampin’ Up! FREE Thanks a Bunch Card

This stamp set is so incredibly F-U-N… who would have thought – carrots… but here I am tooting it :O) There are three sizes of carrots in this stamp set. I have only used two of these to make thus card, plus a couple of other products…

How to make…

Stamp the carrot bottoms from Thanks a Bunch stamp set in Calypso Coral ink, then the leafy tops in Mossy Meadow ink – on a Basic White panel, then die cut with Stylish Shapes Dies.
Run a piece of Pool Party through the Timber 3D embossing folder, then die cut with another of the Stylish Shapes Dies – just less than 3″
Cut a piece of Crumb Cake 3″ square and adhere Pool Party panel with liquid glue.
Cut a length of Gingham Ribbon and trim down the middle. Add to back of stamped panel with Stampin’ Seal+, then add dimensionals and attache to Pool Party & Crumb Cake panel.
Run a Basic White panel through the brand new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder – love this embossing folder!
Adhere embossed panel to Pool Party card base: 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Stamp sentiment using the Thanks a Bunch stamp set in Versa Mark ink on a Basic Black piece. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder & heat set. Die cut with Ginkgo Branch Dies – another new item! Add to card front with dimensionals, centering.
Add several Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots for charm

Stampin' Up! Thanks a Bunch card. inside

For the inside… I stamped the middle size carrot (same as the carrot on card front) using Calypso Coral ink and Thanks a Bunch stamp set, them added the longer leafy top in Mossy Meadow ink. It makes it look entirely different!Obviously this was done on a Basic White panel. That panel was adhered to a Crumb Cake piece just slightly larger, then directly to the inside of the card. Done!

For the envelope… I stamped the smallest carrot bunch from Thanks a Bunch stamp set in Calypso Coral ink all across the bottom. I added the small leafy top in Mossy Meadow ink. How cute is this!!!

Stampin’ Up! Layering Favored Flowers

Good Monday morning! I’ve another ‘take’ on yesterday’s card using another sheet of the Favored Flowers DSP. And, you know, it’s FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration (Jan-Feb 28,2023).

This paper is just gorgeous and I’m having trouble moving on to something else 🥴 For today’s card I’m doing a tent fold, meaning the card folds from the top in lieu of from the left. Evening Evergreen card stock is the card base with a layer of Petal Pink adhered directly to it. I then took a panel of Favored Flowers 4 x 5 1😀/4 and with the 4th largest rectangle of the Stitched Rectangles Dies, die cut the center. I adhered the larger layer to the card. I layered that center panel on another piece of Petal Pink, slipped a scrap of card stock behind it to give it some height, wrapped the Evening Evergreen Windowpane Check Ribbon around and tied a knot. I adhered this over the card front and matched the flowers so they looked like a continuation of the back panel – which they are! I stamped the sentiment from Dainty Flowers stamp set (new in the Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog!). I die cut this with the Stylish Shapes Dies and adheres it over the ribbon with dimensionals. And the card front was done.

For the inside: I took a piece of Basic White and adhered it to a panel of Petal Pink and added both to the inside of the card. I had this wonderful scrap of Favored Flowers DSP so added it over those ~ and the inside was done…

For the envelope I used the same Favored Flowers DSP but used a Petal Pink pattern that coordinated, then fussy cut a flower from a scrap of the card front DSP pattern and adhered it in place. So simple, so elegant, so quick & easy. I’ve made several of these & sent them out with the catalogs, so if you haven’t received your catalogs yet and don’t have a demonstrator, give me a shout!

Stampin’ Up! Day At The Farm DSP for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning and WECOME to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! You’re going to see some pretty awesome cards today so be sure to make the full circuit. Today is also the day the January – April 2023 Mini Catalog goes live – woohoo!

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

This sketch challenge just said DSP to me – so I’m showcasing a piece of the Day At The Farm DSP from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. Yep – it’s free with a $50 order – any Stampin’ Up! products!

This is a very masculine kind of card, isn’t it? And you know what, this layout could be used for a lot of Designer Series Papers and be totally different each time. I like that about a layout. This is for a family that lost their dog recently, and if you’re a pet lover, you know how devastating that can be.Their unconditional love and allegiance cannot be matched by a human being. Before I get too philosophical – let’s get the details on this card. This front DSP panel from Day at the Farm DSP pack, is Sahara Sand and I’ve added it to a Cherry Cobbler layer, put that on dimensionals and adhered it to the Sahara Sand card base. The sentiment comes from the Adorable Owls stamp set – another FREE ITEM with a $50 order in the Sale-a-bration catalog. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Basic White strip and simply trimmed it to the length I wanted. I adhered that to a slightly larger Cherry Cobbler strip. I took a length of one of the twines in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack that looks similar to Sahara Sand in color and wrapped it around the strip and tied a knot in front. I added three Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots then added dimesnionals and attached it to the front of the card.

For the inside… there is something to say for retired sets – and well, some you just can’t get rid of. Pampered Pets and it’s coordinating dog punch is one of those sets. This little food bowl with a doggie footprint on it is just too perfect for this situation and I had to use it. The sentiment is stamped in Sahara Sand ink and the bowl in Memento Black ink on the Basic White panel. Yep, mounted on Cherry Cobbler and added to the inside of the card. Done!

For the envelope I used more of the Day at the Farm DSP for the flap. LOVE THIS PLAID! The dog is punched from a piece of the Fancy Flora DSP – the dog was a yellow lab and this just seemed to fit the situation. The heart is part of the punch and the reverse side of that same Fancy Flora DSP. How perfect could it be?! And the card is complete… my apologies for using something that cannot be ordered, but, well, I had to.

Stampin’ Up! Favored Flowers and Something Fancy Bundle

Good Wednesday morning! Thank you to those who placed orders for the Paper Share! There are some beautiful ones AGAIN! And I’m showcasing a FREEBIE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration which begins…n TOMORROW, wheee. I happen to have a thing about notebooks. I like to carry one in my purse to make notes about, well, anything 😀 And I like to have them available to give away. So today I’m featuring these beauties.

Aren’t these stunning papers? The colors here are Calypso Coral, Basic Black and Evening Evergreen & Petal Pink. I used various ribbons to use as a page marker: Open Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen, White Glittered Organdy, &White 3/4″ Frayed Ribbon. I’ve also used Something Fancy stamp set for the sentiments stamped in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the coordinating Something Fancy Dies. I really like how these dies have a ‘nesting’ capability – meaning same shape but slightly larger. To create the background for the sentiment I used the larger die and cut from the same paper, just the reverse side. On the far right notebook, that background was die cut from Calypso Coral. Embellishments used on the sentiments were Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls (soon to retire – like end of day TODAY – and the Iridescent Pastel Gems from the new Jan-Apr 2023 Mini Catalog.
