Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Part 2

Good morning! I’ve created another super easy card for you using the Heart & Home Memories & More Card Pack + Cards & Envelopes. I DID add some die cutting elements to the card using the Pierced Bloom Dies. Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 Specialty DSP is also a part of the mini card front. Let’s take a look…

Heart & Home Part 2.1

The large card base is from the Heart & Home Mem’ries & More Cards & Envelopes, as is the wood grain piece :O) – so this is two cards in one. And the lovely die cuts add a nice element of dimension and pull in the colors of the flowers in the Abstract Beauty SDSP. The flower & flower center were die cut from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper that I had created earlier. You can see that post here. Below is the colored panel. The leaf die cut is from Just Jade card stock. The background panel for the SDSP is Crushed Curry.

Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper

The inside of the front card is two of the stickers from the Heart & Home Mem’ries & More Card Pack.

Heart & Home Part 2, front inside

And the inside of the card… another panel of the Heart & Home Mem’ries & More Card Pack trimmed down just a bit & adhered to a slightly larger panel of Crushed Curry, then attached to the card base.

Heart & Home Part 2, inside

The envelope got another couple of die cuts using the Pierced Bloom Dies plus one of the stickers from Heart & Home Mem’ries & More Card Pack.

Heart & Home Part 2

As yesterdays card (you can see that here), there is no sentiment added, making this super versatile: thank you, birthday, just a note, hello ~ you name it. I appreciate having versatility in a card and, this will be part of a gift set for someone special.

Stampin’ Up! Heart & Home Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

AHA – it’s St Patrick’s Day! I have a wee bit of Irish in me :O) What tricks shall we pull on folks today? It is truly the wearin’ of the green (or orange). It’s also Blog Hop Day for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. Let’s get to it. Here’s my card…

Heart & Home Mem’ries & More 3/17.1

And here’s our sketch challenge.

Yep – you can easily see I turned the challenge upside down :O) This card was amazingly simple ~ with the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes PLUS the Heart & Home Card Pack – bing, bang, boom and it was done. I simply added a panel of Garden Green card stock behind the floral panel & placed that on dimensionals on the card front. I trimmed another of the ‘cards’ in the card pack for the dotted piece, then peeled a sticker to put on top of it. I die cut the beautiful border in Pale Papaya card stock with one of the Scalloped Contour Dies, added it behind the dotted strip, put dimensionals on each end and placed it on the panel.I added a sweet Open Weave Ribbon bow in Pale Papaya to tie it all together (😁), then added three Genial Gems for a bit of glam. And the card front was done!

Heart & Home Mem’ries & More, inside

For the inside I took a larger coordinating card from the pack, trimmed it down a bit and adhered Garden Green behind it, then added to the card inside – done! I’ve chosen not to include any sentiments on this card as I wanted it to be very versatile. This can be used for just about anything ~ and I love that about it.

Heart & Home Mem’ries & More w/ envelope

For the envelope I peeled two more stickers from the Heart & Home Memories & More Card Pack and placed them appropriately on the front. This gives the card just enough to take away the plainness and make it special. I cannot wait to make more of these as a gift to someone. :O)

Products to make this card are listed below so feel free to order away :O) If you do not have a demonstrator and need an Annual Catalog please reach out to me – happy to send one to you. AND… I have the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog and can send that as well! When ordering, please also use current host code: Y4NW3AK. Stampin’ Up! In Bloom for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s a Thursday and time for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! You are in for a treat with the creations of the hoppers. We have a color challenge this week and here’s what I made for it.

And here’s our challenge… I chose Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.

This was a super fun card to make. I did need to set aside time for the watercolor paper to dry, but creating the mix of colors was extra fun. Here’s what the watercolor paper looked like AFTER the die cuts. So you can see, room enough for another set of dies :O)

I chose to use the Heart & Home 12 x 12 for part of the card front. I also used the Stitched Greenery Die that does more of an embossing effect than a die cut. I’ve used this die quite a bit and really like it. This strip is only 1 1/2″ wide but it adds great texture. Here’s another look.

Once I had my card base I began adhering the die cut images, mostly with liquid glue then other with dimensionals ~ and I kept adding until I had used everything. It’s a fun, spring look. Are you ready for Spring? I am! Although I enjoy winter, spring is one of my favorite seasons – probably because of the new growth of just about everything, from flowers to birds to buds on trees ~ you name it ~ it’s coming to life once more. Now that the card front was complete, I moved to the inside.

I stamped the sentiment from In Bloom stamp set on another piece of the Heart & Home 12 x 12 DSP in Highland Heather ink then die cut it with the label die in the Pierced Dies. Then added more of the die cut watercolor flowers. This is a pretty neutral card… can be used for birthday or a “pick-me-up” kind of card. I love having versatility in a card. Time to move to the envelope…

Yet another panel of the Heart & Home 12 x 12 DSP for the flap, then stamping the flower image in Petal Pink first then the cute center dots with Pumpkin Pie. And yes, straight from the In Bloom stamp set. And voila – this card is done. I confess, it isn’t quite what I had planned, but I still like it and can’t wait to send it to someone special.

Easter Friends Fun Card

Hello again! It’s a cold Tuesday morning and I have a fun, quick and easy card for you today that just shouts SPRING. It’s made with the Easter Friends stamp set (the bunny) and it’s cute.

Easter Friends, front.1

I began by stamping the bunny in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White panel 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 scored at the top 1/2″ I colored his nose with a Petal Pink marker. I adhered this to a Blushing Bride piece 2 3/4 x 4 1/4, wrapping the Basic White OVER the Blushing Bride. This was attached to a panel of Crumb Cake 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I stamped the front sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on a Basic White scrap and die cut it with the Tailor Made Tags dies, then took a length of the Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon and slipped it through the opening, securing the ribbon together with a glue dot. With dimensionals on the back, this was adhered to the bunny. I added Adhesive-Backed Hexagons in Blushing Bride for a bit more pink.

Easter Friends, inside.2

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set – Easter Friends, masking off a portion of the sentiment, in Crumb Cake ink. At the bottom of this Basic White panel I stamped several grasses in Granny Apple Green ink and layered them. Yep m- still Easter Friends stamp set. The white panel is 2 3/8 x 4. This was adhered to the Blushing Bride panel.

Easter Friends, back.3

Now turn the entire piece over… again with Granny Apple Green ink, I stamped the grasses, layering as I went, onto the Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4). I then stamped the frolicking duck in Crumb Cake ink. Doesn’t it look as though the duck is dancing? I adhered this to the back of the Crumb Cake and the card was done.

Easter Friends.4

For the envelope I used Subtles 6×6 DSP for the flap, trimming it to fit and stamped the baby chick in Crumb Cake ink. I colored it with So Saffron Blends – not my best! And the card is ready to send!

Easter Friends.5

Products are listed below so feel free to order away :O) If you do not have a demonstrator and need an Annual Catalog please reach out to me – happy to send one to you. Stampin’ Up! All for Baby Welcome

Brrr. It’s 21 degrees this morning and our poor rhododendrons are desperate for warmth. We had a teaser of spring the other day – 70 degrees! But it was only for the day. And we are having what feels like arctic weather once again. As I said… Brrr.

My card today uses the All For Baby stamp set with its coordinating Baby Clothes Dies. I confess… this was my first play with this bundle ~ and I loved it. The individual requesting the card said it should be simple, for a new grandmother and the baby was a boy. Sounds easy enough, right? And it was!

All For Baby.1

How to:

  • Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2 x 5 12 scored at 4 1/4.
  • Regular Basic White 4 x 5 14 run through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder and adhered directly to the card front
  • Subtles 6×6 DSP in Balmy Blue was used for the next layer ~ die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered to the card front with dimensionals, centering it.
  • I used a scrap of Basic White to die cut the onesy with the Baby Clothes Dies, put mini dimensionals on the back and adhered it
  • With Balmy Blue ink and this perfect sentiment from All For Baby, I stamped on a Basic White scrap. I die cut it with Bouquet of Love Dies ‘cuz I really like this banner die :O). I added a 1/4″ strip of Balmy Blue to it with dimensionals and adhered the strip directly to the Subtles 6×6 panel.
  • For a final touch, three Holiday Rhinestone Gems in dark blue were addded.
All For Baby.2
All For Baby.3

The inside:

  • I added a 1/4″ strip of the Subtles 6×6 DSP in Balmy Blue near the bottom of the Basic White panel 3 1/4 x 4 1/2
  • I stamped the bib from All For Baby stamp set in Balmy Blue, then took a Balmy Blue Marker and with the fine tip, made little stitch marks. They barely show but I know I did it!
  • Add the panel to the inside of the card and done…
All For Baby.4

The envelope:

A piece of Subtles 6×6 DSP in Balmy Blue was adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit ~ and that was it.

Love how cute this card is and seems to fit the need: simple, for a grandmother and baby boy :O) And just think… it could be done in so many colors ~ Highland Heather, So Saffron, Pale Papaya, the list goes on and on ~ and there are some really fun dies and stamps in this bundle. Find it in the Annual Catalog.

Sale-a-bration is from 4 Jan to 28 Feb ~ that means placing orders during this time can earn you some FREE PRODUCTS. What are you waiting for??? Stampin’ Up! Daffodils for the Happy Inkin’ Blog Hop

Hello Friends… it’s happy Thursday.

Welcome to the Blog Hop! There will be some gorgeous creations on the hop today – enjoy – and be sure to go through everyone’s blog. I’m using one of the springy Designer Series Papers for my card today – Daffodil Afternoon 12×12 that is FREE during Sale-a-bration. This is only available through Feb 28, 2022 with any order of $50 – get yours before it ends! Here’s my card.

Daffodils for the Blog Hop 2/24.1

And here’s our sketch challenge.

This is a very feminine card – and I love the combination of Designer Papers. Daffodils are one of the first signs of Spring and this just feels so ‘right.’ Here are the details…

  • Cut card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4. This is Pear Pizzazz
  • Cut DSP 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere w/ liquid glue
  • Cut coordinating DSP 2 5/8 x 3 7/8. Adhere to card stock panel (Crushed Curry here) 2 3/4 x 4. Adhere these to a Very Vanilla panel 3 x 4 1/4. Add dimensionals to the back and center on card front.
  • Stamp sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink using the Art Gallery stamp set on a Very Vanilla scrap. Die cut with the Tailor Made Tag Dies.
  • Add ribbon to tag: Bumblebee Gingham ribbon, securing together with a glue dot
  • Put dimensionals on back of tag & attach to card front. Done!
Daffodils for Blog Hop 2/24.2 (inside)

For the inside…

  • Cut DSP 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to the inside of the card.
  • Cut Very Vanilla panel 3 1/8 x 4 1/8.
  • Stamp with butterfly from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set in Memento ink and color with Daffodil Delight Blends & Black Blends.
  • Stamp the ‘pollen’ from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set in Crushed Curry ink ~ the butterfly is scattering pollen from his legs ass he flies from flower to flower. :O)
  • Add this panel to a piece of Crushed Curry 3 3/8 x 4 3/8, then to the inside of the card. Finis!

For the Very Vanilla envelope…

Daffodils for Blog Hop 2/24.3
  • More DSP added to the envelope flap
  • Stamp the daffodil from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set in Memento black ink.
  • Color leaves with both Old Olive Stampin’ Blends
  • Color the daffodil with both Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends

I love how ‘fresh’ this looks. It’s cheerful too. Hope you like it as well. Remember the Daffodil Afternoon DSP is only available to the end of Sale-a-bration, 28 Feb., with any $50 order. Dont’ wait, don’t hesitate ~ get it now :O)

Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon with Sailing Home

The New Horizons 6×6 DSP can create a card all by itself. Today I have used the Sailing Home stamp set along with the coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies to make the card special for a friend who needs a ‘lift me up.’ It’s also a fun fold…

On the Horizon w/ Sailing Home.1

The card base is Basic White (thick) 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. Then fold the front piece back on itself to create the fold. Easy peasy! Next, I began by cutting the DSP to a 5 1/4 length, then twice at 1 7/8. That left one piece wider – 2 1/4. The birds are stamped using the On The Horizon stamp set in Misty Moonlight directly onto the New Horizons 6×6 DSP. I then mounted them on panels of Blackberry Bliss 2 x 5 3/8 (2) and 2 3/8 x 5 3/8 and added them to the card. I stamped the sailboat using the Sailing Home stamp set (this person is a sailor) in Misty Moonlight and die cut it using the Smooth Sailing Dies. I put dimensionals on the back and added it to the front panel. To the last panel I stamped the sentiment from On the Horizon stamp set in Blackberry Bliss, taping off the word ‘you’. That word was stamped on the white section left. I then stamped the word ‘breathe’ in Misty Moonlight – also from the On the Horizons stamp set. The three birds are stamped in Misty Moonlight using the Sailing Home stamp set. I underlined the word ‘breathe’ with the Blackberry Bliss marker. For a final touch I added the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels -(NEW ITEM) I’ll put my personal note on the back of this card.

On the Horizon w/ Sailing Home.2

For the envelope, I used more of the New Horizons 6×6 DSP to the flap and stamped the anchor from Sailing Home in Smoky Slate ink. Done. Love the simplicity of this.

Sale-a-bration is from 4 Jan to 28 Feb ~ that means placing orders during this time can earn you some FREE PRODUCTS. What are you waiting for??? Stampin’ Up! On the Horizon with Brilliant Wings Dies Sympathy

It’s Monday the 21st & celebrating President’s Day! WooHoo! It’s a 3-day weekend so folks can travel someplace fun for a couple of days. No mail delivery, no school, etc. Quiet day, maybe.

My last post was a sympathy card ‘cuz one of our church staff members passed away unexpectedly. Today’s card is for a man on staff who worked closely with the deceased. While it doesn’t look masculine, it is… The blues and other coloring are subtle & gentle – offering solace. Here it is…

On the Horizon w/ Brilliant Wings Dies Sympatghy.1

Using Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight & Pacific Point inks and a Blending Brush, I colored a piece of Thick Basic White card stock, overlapping colors as I liked. Then I used the Brilliant Wings Dies to cut several butterflies. Let me say here, that I have two sets of these dies… one cut apart & one left as it came – whole. For this project I used the cut apart dies so I could place them in strategic places on the inked card stock. 🙂 The next step was to run a panel of Basic White through the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. I love the deepness of embossing this creates. I adhered this with liquid glue directly to the Misty Moonlight card base. Next I stamped the woodgrain ‘log’ with Basic Gray ink then die cut it with the Horizon Dies. I stamped the sentiment using the On the Horizon stamp set and Pacific Point ink on the ‘log’. This I put on dimensionals and adhered to the card front, leaving room for the butterfly. The butterfly has dimensionals only under the body. I added a Misty Moonlight/ Silver bow from the Flowers for Every Season pack with a glue dot. This is such a great combination of ribbons! Then I added 3 Adhesive-Backed Hexagons to the ‘log’ and the card front was complete.

On the inside I stamped the silhouette of a leaf pattern using the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a panel of Basic White card stock. I stamped the sentiment using the Inspired Thoughts stamp set (one of my favs!) in Misty Moonlight ink. This panel was adhered direcvtly to the inside of the card – and done!

On the horizon w/ Brilliant Wings Dies Sympathy.3

For the envelope, I used the ‘silhouette’ of two butterflies that I had die cut from the Basic White piece, then used the Blending Brush, Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point inks to color it. L-O-V-E!

Stampin’ Up! Calming Camellia Sympathy

We had a tragic loss in our church last week when one of our staff had a heart attack. He was youngish and leaves behind a family. It was such a shock and so unexpected. The man was treasured… touching so many lives with his generous heart. I’ve used Calming Camellia for the women on the staff and want to share one of those with you today. It uses the whitewashing technique, which I have used before.

Calming Camellia Sympathy.1

I began with a card base of Soft Succulent, then cut another panel in the same color just a shade smaller. I embossed this smaller piece twice, first with the Tasteful Textile EF then ran it through again using the Timeworn 3D EF. I followed by fraying the edges by rubbing the open scissors along all four sides and also made a few tears. Next I stamped Calming Camellia in Soft Succulent ink on a piece of Soft Succulent cut squarely slightly larger than the stamp. I then used Whisper White ink pad, my oldest Blender pen and an acrylic block: ink the acrylic block by stamping it on the ink pad, then add a drop of white ink refill. Now color using the fairly dry Blender pen to color the flower. You may find it necessary to add layers of the white – I did until I was satisfied with the look. I ruffled the square as before for added texture, then adhered it to a piece of Marbled 6×6 DSP cut to the same size (this DSP is available for FREE during Sale-a-bration!)

Putting the card together…

  • Wrap a length of white Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack around the panel that was twice embossed. Adhere the twine in back with Stampin’ Seal. Now adhere that piece to the card base with liquid glue. With dimensionals on the back of the square pieces, add to the card front, centered or off-set. I tend to like mine off-set, so did that. I added a Baker’s Twine bow then some pearl Basic Jewels.
Calming Camellia Sympathy, inside

For the inside, I stamped the leaf from the Calming Camellia stamp set in Soft Succulent ink on a Basic White panel, then added the sentiment, also in the same ink color, nearby. This panel was adhered to the inside of the card & voila!

Calming Camellia Sympathy.3

For the Basic White envelope, I stamped the leaf both on the envelope flap and the front of the envelope in Soft Succulent ink. I added the scrolly stamp in Evening Evergreen ink. This finished card looks very Victorian to me & I really like it. And I think it will fit the individual for whom it is intended. Hope you like it as well.

Now, just a word about Calming Camellia – this is a hostess stamp set – so a $300 purchase is necessary to get it for FREE! The Marbelized 6×6 DSP is also FREE during Sale-a-bration. So… hint, hint. Get your buddies together to have an order valued to $300 so you too can get this set! For more info, see the ordering info below.

Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Afternoon DSP B’day

Hello everyone! It’s c-o-l-d here on the Jersey coast – 9 degrees yesterday, 19 today (wow – a heat wave!). I have two cards for you today, both of which are birthday cards using Daffodil Afternoon DSP from Sale-a-bration. It’s a FREE DSP pack when ordering $50 or more.

Daffodil Afternoon DSP.card 1

Notice how on this card more of the daisies show their glory even though there are daffodils in the lower half. Begin by creating the card base: Flirty Flamingo and covering the front with a panel of Daffodil Afternoon DSP that would coordinate with the main front. Then cut a piece of the DSP, cut it in half lengthwise, then take the right piece and cut it in two pieces. You can vary the cuts to suit the design. Adhere this DSP to a panel of Flirty Flamingo, put dimensionals on the back and center it on the card front. For the sentiment panel, I stamped in Memento Black ink on Pale Papaya card stock using the brandy newy Waves of Inspiration stamp set ‘happy birthday’. It is a perfect size for this card. Then I die cut it with one of the Waves Dies and put dimensionals on the back. I slipped a length of the fun Glittered Organdy Ribbon behind the front panel and then through each side of the sentiment banner, securing the ribbon in place with a glue dot on each end. I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels… and the card front was complete.

Daffodil Afternoon DSP.card 2

Card 2 was begun the same as the first. The difference is the front panel was off-set to the top in lieu of center. Also – no ribbon. And the sentiment banner is stamped on Very Vanilla card stock and die cut with Tropical Layers Dies. I’ll be honest, I like the front panel better when it’s centered, but I thought this looks ok. I still included the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels and like the added sparkle.

The inside of the cards are the same: a stamp from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set was stamped in Pale Papaya ink on the Very Vanilla panel and adhered to the inside of the card. For the envelope, I used the same stamp & ink for the front and more of the Daffodil Afternoon DSP for the flap.

And there you have it… two cards, same DSP, very similar layout/ design. Card cuts will be listed at the end of this post. I hope you like… these cards are definitely a breath of spring – which is right around the corner!
