Stampin’ Up! 2, 4, 6, 8 card with Most Adored SDSP, Plus Flight & Airy DSP

Hello folks – it’s midweek. We had quite a storm last night… lots and lots of heavy rain and very strong wind. We kept flashlights with us for the evening and night.

I’ve a pretty feminine card for you today using some of the FREE products from the Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration catalog. Most Adored SDSP has gold and white on one side and color or pattern on the other side. I chose to work with this small pattern of leaves & flowers in gold.

Stampin' Up! 2, 4, 6, 8 card w/ Most Adored SDSP

The reason the card is called a 2, 4, 6, 8 card is because those are the score lines on a 5 1/2 x 12 card piece. Burnish those score lines and fold accordion style. With each fold, adhere the panels together so that only the gold and white side shows when completed.

With panels glued in place, use a Blending Brush and color ink of choice (here I used Garden Green ink), blend color onto the Designer Series Paper. Cover a good portion of each side. Once finished with blending, buff gently with a dry cloth or paper towel to remove ink from the gold. Holding the piece closed, adhere to a card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 – Boho Blue for this card. To decorate the card I used three sizes of circles: the Deckled Circles Dies (Basic White on card front & on the sentiment panel inside + the center panel which is a smaller Deckled Circle Die), the 2 3/8 circle punch – an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE – (Boho Blue card stock on the card front), and the Stylish Shapes Dies (this was for the bird). The bird is die cut from the Flight & Airy DSP – also a FREE Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. I adhered the largest of the Basic White circles on the card front, adhering one side only. I added the length of ribbon – Grosgrain Ribbon in Pool Party as shown with Stampin’ Seal+. I adhered the two top circles together, then adhered them over the ribbon with dimensionals. I added three Blooming Pearls in Garden Green.

For the center circle, I stamped the sentiment from Softly Sophisticated stamp set – another FREE item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog – in Boho Blue ink, then stamped the leaves from the same Softly Sophisticated stamp set in Garden Green ink. I used the Blending Brush and Garden Green ink to add color to the edge of the circle; adhered this in place using the front circle as my guide for placement. Here I added three Blooming Pearls, this time in gold.

For the inside back panel… I stamped the sentiment from Stippled Roses stamp set – this is from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog – in Boho Blue ink. Then I overstamped with another leaf stamp from Softly Sophisticated stamp set in Garden Green ink and the flowers in Petal Pink ink – each stamped off first. Again, I added three Blooming Pearls in Garden Green. And the card was complete. Super easy and super cute.

For the envelope, I added more of the same Most Adored SDSP to the flap and with a Blending Brush and Garden Green ink, lightly colored it. I used Post-it notes to shield the front of the envelope so I didn’t get green ink all over it!. Again, buff the DSP with a soft cloth or paper towel. I fussy cut this sweet bird from the Flight & Airy DSP and adhered it with liquid glue for the envelope front. Love this card!!! And I must make another… :O)

Stampin’ Up! Love is in the Air for Amy’ Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group

Good Tuesday! Hope your day/ week is going well. We have a blog hop today as part of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew :O) The theme is LOVE – any way we want to interpret that and I’ve created a ‘missing middle’ card.

Isn’t this fun? In that open area I’ve stamped my sentiment – it’s where the card front ‘middle’ is missing :O)

This is so incredibly easy to make and the fun part is, the ‘missing middle’ can be larger or smaller, and the connecting section can also be different. I started with a 4 1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White and scored it at 5 1/2. I removed two sections from one end 2 x 4 1/4. Since the theme is LOVE and I really like this plaid paper of the Bee Mine DSP, that became the two focal sections and the bee with the hearts became my center focal point.

Card cuts:

Sweet Sorbet: 1 7/8 x 4 1/8 (cut 2); 1 3/8 x 4 1/8 – add to Thick Basic White sections appropriately
Bee Mine 12 x 12 DSP: 1 3/4 x 4 (cut 2- one in plaid, one w/ bee); 1 1/4 x 4 in plaid – adhere to proper sections

Directions:

Fold card panel on score line and line up larger plaid panel even with bottom of card
Put dimensionals on backside of the bee panel, both top & bottom, attach to closed card front approximately 1/2″ from left edge and equidistant top & bottom – & voila! In retrospect, it should probably have been closer to the left edge. I tried to move it over but it was adhered tightly!
With the Bee My Valentine stamp set, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink with the card in the closed position
Add embellishments – here they are the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers in Sweet Sorbet

In the far left photo you can see how the top portion of the card looks from the inside. In the right photo is the sentiment panel. I attached another plaid piece of the Bee Mine DSP (5/8 x 4) to a Sweet Sorbet (3/4 x 4 1/8) and then to the inside of the card. This brings the color to the inside of the card and provides a ‘connecting color scheme’ to the card. Fun, fun!

For the envelope, more of the Bee Mine DSP on the flap and a fussy cut bee peeking around the corner adhered to the front. :O) Love, love.

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Suite

Good Monday morning! I have a pretty card for you today using many of the products in the Perennial Lavender Suite and a few others as well.

I love the softness & femininity of this card. Perennial Lavender DSP is the focal point, along with dies used from Painted Lavender Dies die cut with card stock from: Lost Lagoon, Gorgeous Grape and Pretty Peacock. Scallop Contour Dies in Basic White form the scalloped left edge and the sentiment banner. The sentiment is from Perennial Postage stamp set. stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink. The embellishments are Purple Fine Shimmer Gems as part of the suite of products. I also added a double Linen Thread bow attached with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card I used another panel of the Perennial Lavender DSP for the background of the Basic White panel. I stamped the leaf image in Pool Party ink using the Painted Lavender stamp set. Because the Painted Lavender Dies die cut two of these flowers (the Gorgeous Grape) I adhered it with liquid glue.

For the envelope, another panel of Perennial Lavender DSP for the flap and a very sweet flower stamp in Gorgeous Grape from the Painted Lavender stamp set. I love that I can use this card for many occasions: birthday, thinking of you, get well, just a note – you name it. Versatility is the key!

Stampin’ Up! Big Hugs with Perennial Postage

Good Saturday – shop, shop, shop til you drop. Have you done all that? The Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalogs went live Jan 4. If you do not have those catalogs or a demonstrator, please reach out to me and we’ll get those to you ‘likety split’.

My card today is another one of those that can be used for several different occasions: love you, thinking of you, congratulations, feel better soon, even Valentines – all that.

Stampin' Up! Big Hugs w/ Perennial Postage

To make this card, I used a Sweet Sorbet card base and covered the front with this wonderful stripe from Bee Mine DSP. I then die cut the Basic White with Scallop Contour Dies and cut another coordinating panel of Bee Mine DSP to fit inside the ‘stitch’ lines of the die cut. These were both adhered to the card front with liquid glue. With the Stitched Shape Dies, I created a circle from Basic White. I punched the heart using the Country Bouquet Punch ‘cuz I like the shape of the heart :O). I stamped the sentiment first with VersaMark then sprinkled it with white embossing powder then heat set it. The sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set. I adhered this with liquid glue to the circle and the circle to the card front with dimensionals. I tied a double bow with White Bakers Twine and attached it with a glue dot.

For the inside… I had a scrap of the stripe from Bee Mine DSP and simply added it to the top of the Basic White panel, then punched several hearts – again with the Country Bouquet Punch. The Basic White heart is from a scrap that had been embossed with the Tile 3D embossing folder and i really liked how it made the heart sort of ‘come alive’. These were adhered with liquid glue and the inside was complete.

For the envelope, another punched heart with the Country Bouquet Punch for the envelope front and another piece of the stripe from Bee Mine DSP for the flap – and done!

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Suite

TODAY’S THE DAY… the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog AND the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog go LIVE. Whoopie! So here’s my card today, showcasing Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Postage AND the Perennial Lavender DSP– all are part of a suite of products found on pages 22-25.

I’ve used several of the suite products to make this card… Softly Sophisticated embossing folder is a FREE item in the Sale-a-Bration catalog with a qualifying purchase. It’s the background for this card and I love the delicate imprint. The next layer is a Crumb Cake piece die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. On that is Gorgeous Grape card stock, cut to fit inside the stitched lines of the die cut. Then of course is this stunning DSP – Perennial Lavender DSP, cut just a wee bit smaller. These three layers were adhered together and added to the Thick Basic White card base and embossing folder with dimensionals. I then die cut three ‘stems’: the largest from Lost Lagoon card stock, and the two smaller in Gorgeous Grape & Basic White. These dies come from Perennial Lavender Dies and were attached with liquid glue. I pulled out the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut another piece of Crumb Cake for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set & is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Before adhering the sentiment with dimensionals, I tied a large bow using the Woven Metallic Ribbon in Orchid Oasis and attached it with a glue dot and the sentiment panel goes right over it. I like the sparkle of the ribbon and how the shades of purple flow together and compliment one another. I think I’m going to have to add a few of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that are part of this suite!

For the inside… on a Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink slightly off-center (from Perennial Postage stamp set), then stamped the lovely floral bouquet (from Painted Lavender stamp set) in stamped off Highland Heather ink. This creates a wonderfully feminine effect that coordinates with the feminine front of the card.

For the envelope, I stamped the same floral bouquet from Painted Lavender stamp set in stamped off Highland Heather ink on the envelope front. Love, love – and hope you do as well.

The sentiments used for this card make it an all occasion card that can be used for thinking of you to birthday greeting to missing you. I really like this flexibility!

OK – how to get these…. the suite number is 162613 or items can be ordered separately. Unless there is something I really, realloy don’t want in a suite of prodcuts, I usually order the full suite – one number does it all. And just so you know, there is no advantage other than inputting one number as opposed to several numbers on the order form. The bottom price is the same.

Stampin’ Up!

It is Jan 2 and in just two days – Jan 4 – the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog goes live. I thought it might be fun today take a peek at some of the cards I’ve made with a few of the new stamps/ bundles.

We’ll start with the Bee Mine Suite found on pages 8-10. This suite includes the stamp set & coordinating punch, some very fun Designer Series Paper, ribbon, pillow boxes and embellishments.

On page 12 is the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle that also includes a punch.

It’s interesting how different cards can be by changing small elements in them: colors, Designer Series Papers, angles, embellishments.

The next suite I’m sharing cards from is Perennial Lavender Suite with two stamp sets and two sets of dies, Butterfly Accents, DSP, and gems – all found on pages 22-25.

The lovely flower die cuts are just beautiful. In these two cards you can see a couple of sizes of new Perennial Postage Dies – FUN! The DSP is from this suite as are the embellishments and check out the white butterfly… there are several sizes and various shapes too.

Quiet Reflection stamp set can be found on page 63 and is a beautiful stamp with wonderful, heartfelt sayings. Remeber that if you desire to see the original post, just click on the link in the photo.

The last card I’ll share today is made with the Stippled Roses bundle which includes coordinating dies. This can be found on page 64. This bundle has coordinating paper as part of the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog.

Each of these cards shows the Softly Stippled DSP that is free with a qualifying order. It may be found on page 8 of the Sale-a- Bration Catalog. Back to the stamp set though – look at the stunning roses in the 1st & 3rd cards – the detail is wonderful. And the dies – again, the detail is remarkable.

Stampin’ Up! Stippled Roses Birthday

Happy Happy 2024!!! Here we are in a new year. Did you make or are you in the process of making resolutions? I was talking with someone the other day and the topic was really about facing a topic and asking ourselves, ‘why are we afraid of it’ (whatever that is?)” And how, if we break it down, take it apart, it’s easier to face or do. First we name it, then ask the question, then break it down. The unknown can be so hard to face. Gosh, I got all philosophical… go figure… enuf of that. Let’s play with paper & create.

I began by stamping this beautiful rose bouquet in Basic Gray ink from Stippled Roses stamp set and coloring it with Stampin’ Blends: Light Calypso Coral, Light Sweet Sorbet and Old Olive for the leaves. I die cut it with the coordinating Stippled Roses Dies. Next decision was what background…. and I really like this Pebbled Path pattern in the Softly Stippled DSP. Now what else to do??? I got out my Vellum Basic SDSP and die cut several (well, three) leaves using the Stippled Roses Dies. The pattern doesn’t show so much, but the vellum leaves are attached to the back of the rose bouquet with Stampin’ Seal.. I added dimensionals and attached it to the Softly Stippled DSP panel. I wanted a bit of accent and Old Olive fit that need and all was adhered to the Pebbled Path card base. The sentiment is also from Stippled Roses and stamped on a Basic White strip with Pebbled Path ink. I trimmed ther ends, added mini dimensionals to the end and a bit of glue to the center area and attached it over the rose bouquet. I added three 2023-2025 In Color Dots in Pebbled Path.

For the inside, I stamped the single rose with leaves in Pebbled Path ink – also from the Stippled Roses stamp set – on the Basic White panel; adhered this to Old Olive card stock slightly larger and into the card base.

For the envelope – this same single rose with leaves was stamped on the envelope front and another piece of the Softly Stippled DSP was adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit. Done. I really likje the background on this card and how it softens the colors of the bouquet – and the vellum leaves too. Hope you like it as well.

Stampin’ Up! Flight & Airy Birthday Card

Good Friday morning! Gosh, the 29th of December…. where has the year gone? I’m sharing a new DSP that will be available come Jan 4, 2024 called Flight & Airy 12 x 12 DSP and it is FREE with a $50 order (before taxes & shipping). It is so sweet with birds and delicate branches and soft bright colors. Here’s the card…

Such a sweet bird! I began by die cutting the Flight & Airy DSP with the third from smallest Countryside Corners Dies, punched a couple of leaves from Vellum using the Bough Punch.I adhered these to the back of the DSP with Stampin’ Seal. I also looked at the backs of the Flight & Airy DSP for my background paper & chose this pretty Pecan Pie piece, adhered it to a Pecan Pie card base. I put dimensionals on the die cut DSP piece and attached it to the card front. I stamped the sentiment using another new stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog called Stippled Roses stamp set (it has coordinating dies!) and Pecan Pie ink. I adhered the stamped piece to another strip of Pecan Pie, put dimensionals on it and attached it under the focal point. The last touch was adding Blooming Pearls (3) in Garden Green – and the card front was complete.

For the inside, I fussy cut one of the birds on a branch with leaves and attached it with liquid glue to the Basic White & Flight & Airy panel – and adhered all to the inside of the card.

I found a scrap with a wee bird peeking up and fussy cut that too and adhered it to the envelope front. More of the Flight & Airy DSP to the flap and done! Such a sweet card!

Stampin’ Up! Celebrate for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! It is post Christmas and lots to celebrate – family, friends, laughter, sharing – and the list goes on… I took a few days to be with our family and enjoyed every moment. Thank you for your patience :O)

I’m already on to another phase of appreciation and thankfulness and am in the process of creating boxes. This is my first and I made some errors… which I will adjust in my directions so you don’t make the same mistakes :O) nor do I when making more.

Stam[in' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop 12/28

This is a cute sized box, in other words, not too large. It holds these delicious little Noble candies – hope I can find more of these! Back to the box…

The box is cut 5 x 3 1/2 from Boho Blue card stock and scored at 7/8 on all sides. Cut up to score line on each long side & cut a wedge from each tab as shown in photo below. Add Tear n’ Tape as shown as well. Form box & adhere tabs inside. This creates a neat finish to the outside of the box.

Using the largest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies, cut another piece of Boho Blue and score on the long side @ 2 1/8 & 3. I cut my Boho Blue at 4 x 5 3/8 which is a snug fit for the largest die, but works! I also cut (2) pieces of Flirty Flamingo 1 7/8 x 3 1/4; & one piece of Basic White with the third smallest Deckled Rectangle Dies. I stamped the Basic White panel with Blueberry Bushel ink for the sentiment; Garden Green ink stamped off once for the stems and Flirty Flamingo ink stamped off once for the flowers; all of these come from the Softly Sophisticated stamp set which is part of the Sale-a-bration bonus items with a $100 purchase (stamp set & embossing folder) found on pages 14/15 in the Sale-a-bration catalog. (The catalog goes live Jan 4, 2024!!! Sale-a-bration items are available Jan 4- Feb 29, 2024.

The ‘cover” for the box is that piece of Boho Blue die cut with the largest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies. Add a 16″ piece of ribbon with glue dots down the center… I used Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack in Bubble Bath as shown in photo below.

Adhere box to the bottom portion with liquid glue, then attach sentiment panel to the upper portion. For the top of the box, I die cut a piece from the Flight & Airy 12×12 DSP – also a FREE ITEM during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase. That paper may be found on pages 6/7 of the Sale-a-bration catalog. I adhered that to a slightly larger piece of Flirty Flamingo & attached both to the top of the box & done! Fill with favorite wrapped candies & gift. I’ll be making quite a few of these for an event in February – so stay tuned to see the full batch.
