Good Monday morning! I hop you had a good weekend and your week is getting off to a good start. I’ve been wanting to play with the Ginkgo Branch Bundle and finally ‘took the plunge’ so to speak, and paired it with the Delicate Desert 12×12 DSP. So what happens is some interesting color combinations I would not normally put together – and I like it! The dies in this bundle are delicate and wonderful. I have used the banner die a few times and it’s a favorite.
The card base is Thick Basic White and I added a 2″ strip of Delicate Desert 12×12 DSP along the side. Next I determined the next color layer and how to contrast the pretty leaf dies of Ginkgo Branch: Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya & Petal Pink – all colors that coordinate with this stunning DSP. I stamped the background stamp for these leaves in the same colors using the Ginkgo Branch stamp set and die cut them as well, then added them to the delicate leaf die cuts with dabs of liquid glue. The 3 x 4 panel of Delicate Desert DSP was run through the Painted Texture embossing folder then layered onto a piece of Soft Succulent card stock, then the die cut pieces were attached, some with liquid glue, some with dimensionals. I added a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and tied it off with Baker’s Twine Essential Pack in White. I did unravel this twine to just two threads for a more delicate look. This panel was added to the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Gingko Branch stamp set in VersaMark ink and embossed it with White Embossing Powder – on a Calypso Coral strip, then die cut it with a banner die from the Ginkgo Branch Dies. I trimmed one end to match the length of the front panel. and adhered it with dimensionals over the ribbon. As a final touch… I added the super sweet Brushed Brass Butterflies in two sizes.
For the inside… I stamped the single Ginkgo leaf from Ginkgo Branch stamp set in Pale Papaya ink, three times on a Basic White panel, then adhered this to a Calypso Coral piece and into the card. I also added an additional small Brushed Brass Butterfly.
For the envelope… three more Ginkgo leaves stamped on the front in Pale Papaya ink and a panel of the Delicate Desert 12×12 DSP on the flap, trimmed to fit.
