Stampin’ Up! Bee My Valentine from OnStage@ Home

Good morning! It’s the ‘day after’ the OnStage@Home event… (now two days after – – – computer issues put a stymie on everything!) and there were several demonstrators from around the world providing tips, tricks and sharing some ideas on new products that will be offered in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. As demonstrators and those of us who attended the @Home event, we were able to order the Bee Mine Suite of products and make a card with card cuts provided by Stampin’ Up! I did that and today’s card is one we made. This is a fairly simple card, one that could work with new stampers.

Stampin' Up! Bee My Valentine OnStage@Home card, front

This card uses Daffodil Delight as the card base, and a stamped layer added with dimensionals. The stamped layer uses the honeycomb stamp in the Bee My Valentine stamp set and Daffodil Delight ink. Also, stamp the sentiment in Memento ink from Bee My Valentine stamp set. Adhere the two panels of Bee Mine 12×12 DSP at an angle using Stampin’ Seal. Stamp the portions of the bee in Memento ink on Basic White scraps and punch out with the coordinating Bee Builder Punch. Adhere parts together with small dots of liquid glue and add to card front with dimensionals. I added the fun Pool Party heart from the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers pack that is also part of the suite.

I added a strip of the plaid Bee Mine 12×12 DSP with Stampin’ Seal, then fussy cut this adorable bee holding a heart from the other side of this Bee Mine 12×12 DSP and adhered it in place with liquid glue – all on a Basic White panel.

Stampin' Up! Bee My Valentine OnStage@Home card & envelope

And here’s the card & envelope. Remember, no naked envelopes! More of the Bee Mine 12×12 DSP on the flap and trimmed to fit. On the front… these cute hearts from Bee My Valentine stamp set, stamped in Pool Party ink all along the bottom. Very cute! Love this bee & it’s coordinating punch. There are at least three options for bee faces in this set.

Stampin’ Up! True Beauty is here!

Hi folks – Friday I received another package from SU! – more bundles from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog! YAY! I decided to play with the True Beauty bundle – why I didn’t get this first off, I have no idea.

L-O-V-E… One of my favorites is the lattice die – oh my goodness… so delicate and beautiful. Here’s my card.

True Beauty.1

I’ve used several SU! products to make this card – and it’s all worth it (at least to me): Thick Basic White for the card base with a layer of Awash In Beauty 12 x 12 DSP adhered directly.; Lovely Layers Vellum just slightly smaller came next and was attached with Stampin’ Seal in the middle where I wanted to place the circle.; the lattice was die cut from Basic White using one of the dies in the True Beauty Bundle (Organic Beauty Dies). I added it with dabs of liquid glue around the edges and some in the cross places. The next layer is a circle cut with the largest of the Layering Circles Dies from a Basic White piece, then run through the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder for … you know, more texture :O) I stamped the flower itself using Sweet Sorbet ink stamped off once or twice then die cut with the Organic Beauty Dies. The leaves were stamped on Basic White and die cut with the Organic Beauty Dies. Both were adhered over the circle with dimensionals. I used a sentiment from the True Beauty stamp set and stamped in Memento ink, die cut with the Beautiful Shapes Dies. You KNOW this coordinates with Hello Beautiful stamp set, right??? This also was added with dimensionals. I tied a double bow with the Metallic Woven Ribbon in Parakeet Party and adhered it with a glue dot. If the bow wasn’t enough for glam, I added three Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels. And the card front was done…

True Beauty 1, inside

For the inside, I stamped this wonderful design in Pear Pizzazz ink on yet another Basic White piece. I wanted a bit more texture so scored two lines on the left side, avoiding the stamped design. What do you think? Like it? I adhered this panel to the inside with liquid glue.

True Beauty 1. 3

Envelope… Some of the same Awash In Beauty 12 x 12 DSP on the flap. For the front, another of the same stamp in Pear Pizzazz ink as the same as inside the card.

Love the femininity of this card – and the colors too. This bundle is quickly becoming a favorite. Hope you like!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop Hand-Penned Petals

Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Krew Thursday Blog Hop. The theme for this week is a sketch challenge and I enjoyed/ appreciated a focus :O) I have been so determined to do Christmas cards that I sometimes need to be side-tracked to something else!

May be an image of text that says 'Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop november 1I -Sketch Challenge'

My card today reminds me of something feminine and it’s special using the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, the Encircled in Beauty Dies and the Stitched Greenery Die. Let’s have a look see.

Hand-Penned Petals, Encircled in Beauty Dies & Stitched Greenery Dies.1

I just realized when I imported this photo that it’s really hard to see the Blackberry Bliss has been imprinted with the Stitched Greenery Die – ugh! You’ll just have to take my word for it :]

Card Basics:

  • Card base is Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2.
  • Blackberry Bliss was cut 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 then run through with the Stitched Greenery Die. It was then trimmed to 4 7/8 in length and cutting that which was trimmed in half. The main panel was adhered to the card base, then one section that was added to the left. This adds an additional element for the eye.
  • Cut a piece of Thick Basic White with the largest of the Encircled in Beauty Dies.
  • Stamp with Memento Black ink the image from Hand-Penned Petals. Color with Stampin’ Blends:Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Light Blackberry Bliss
  • Add a bow tied with the Open Weave Ribbon in Fresh Freesia and add with a glue dot. Add three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
  • Put dimensionals on the back of this circle and add it to the card front, centering it on the large panel.
  • Stamp the sentiment from Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Memento Black ink on a So Saffron scrap. Add dimesnionals and attach.
inside

For the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment, again from Friends are like Seashells stamp set, this time in Blackberry Bliss ink. I really like the fonts on this stamp set and it said exactly what I needed for this card. I added the other strip removed from the front Blackberry Bliss panel, then adhered the Basic White piece (4 x 5 1/4) to the inside of the card.

Hand-Penned Petals, Encircled in Beauty Dies & Stitched Greenery Die

For the envelope, I used the Stitched Greenery Die to ‘decorate’ the envelope flap – and you can clearly see it here. For the front of the envelope, I stamped this sweet spray with Old Olive ink for the stem and Daffodil Delight ink for the flowers, which I stamped twice to make a larger spray ~ and the card is done

I can’t wait to see what the rest of the group has created with this sketch. Please use the ‘next’ button to take you to Amy Koenders of click on the name whose blog you would like to visit.
