Stampin’ Up! Horse & Sleigh Bundle

Computers. Ugh. Mine was out of commission all day yesterday. Praying today will be a better day all around :O)

My card today is another scene using the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. But it is super simple, no real embellishments.

Stampin' Up! Horse & Sleigh Simple Card

This particular DSP is suited for either a Mossy Meadow background or Crumb Cake, or even Early Espresso. I wanted a light color and stuck with Crumb Cake for the card base and adhered the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP directly to it. It is such a serene scene. From Basic White and the Horse & Sleigh Dies, I cut two ‘mounds’ of snow and adhered those near the bottom. I stamped the horse & sleigh image in Memento ink and colored it with several Stampin’ Blends: Lost Lagoon, Light Cherry Cobbler, Light Smoky Slate and SU 100 for the skin tone. Then I die cut the piece with the Horse & Sleigh Dies and added it to the card front with dimensionals. I die cut the sleigh rungs from Silver Foil Specialty Paper and adhered those with dots of liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Horse & Sleigh, inside

For the inside, I took a panel of Fresh As A Daisy DSP, stamped Boho Blue snowflakes with the appropriate stamp from Horse & Sleigh stamp set and adhered this to the inside of the card. I took a piece of Basic White and die cut it with the Deckled Rectangle Dies, stamped the sentiment from Brightest Glow stamp set and added that to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Horse & Sleigh card & envelope

For the envelope: another piece of Fresh As A Daisy DSP and the fun snowflake stamp from Horse & Sleigh stamp set + Boho ink, then adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ Up! And Paper Pumpkin

WooHoo – this is a favorite of the more recent monthly Paper Pumpkin kits :O) It’s called Fun In the Sun for the July kit. It’s a side step card and very summery and fun. The three versions look like this:

Stampin' Up! July PP.1
Stampin' Up! JUl '23 PP.2
Stampin' Up! July '23 PP.3

Aren’t these fun? Notice thew left portion is taller than the rest and there is a slit, cut, division for the folds on the right. Let me show you side views so you get the idea of a side step card.

Stampin' Up! July '23 PP side view.1
Stampin' Up!
 July '23 PP side view.2
Stampin' Up! July '23 PP side view.3

By looking at the side view, it is clear of the various ‘steps’ or folds that can be decorated. Here, on each ‘step’, the images are adhered. The very back ‘step’ could have been kept loose and used as am bookmark or tag. I decided not to do that and prepared no alternatives. I thought these really cute. And the envelopes were colorful as well…

Stampin' Up! July '23 PP card & envelope

Stampin’ Up! One Horse Open Sleigh Bay Window

Good morning. I’ve gotten a bit hooked on using One Horse Open Sleigh DSP in my cards of late – it’s beautiful, it’s scenic, and it just works! In my Thursday class we made this card and I just had to share. It’s soft and very pretty and just so easy.

Stampin' Up! One Horse Open Sleigh Bay Window

From the top, the bay window card looks like this… but it folds flat for mailing.

Stampin' Up! One Horse Open Sleigh Bay Window card from the top

I used Pool Party for the card base 4 1/4 x 11 and scored 1/4, 1 1/2, 3 1/4, 4 1/2 & 5 1/2. Fold the card in half and adhere the the 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 area together on the inside – so it looks like a book fold card. In the photo just above, it’s clear where the card is adhered together. Burnish the score lines well. Now it’s time to decorate with mats and DSP.

  • Mats 7/8 x 4 1/8 (2, end panels); 1 1/8 x 4 1/8 (2), 1 5/8 x 4 1/8 (center panel)
  • DSP cuts: I began by cutting my DSP 3 1/2 x 4 so that I had the scene I wanted, then cut the sections: 5/8, 1, 1 1/2, 1 & 7/8.
  • Adhere DSP panels to the mat sections
  • Adhere these to the card front keeping the scene intact. DO NOT ADHERE THE LAST FAR RIGHT PANEL JUST YET.
  • The far right panel needs to be on dimensionals and the card front 1/4″ section slips under this to make the bay window
  • Look again at the photo of the bay window from the top & on the right the dimensionals are seen. I used two Foam Adhesive strips to adhere to the final decorated panel as this creates a straight line for the 1/4″ edge of the card front to slip under.

Now for the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Bay Window card inside panel

The mat is cut 3 3/8 x 4 1/8. The Basic White is cut 3 1/2 x 4. I stamped the sentiment from Horse & Sleigh stamp set in Pool Party ink. The small rabbit comes from this same Horse & Sleigh stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink stamped off. I used a remaining strip of the DSP to adhere to the far right side of this Basic White piece then adhered both to the inside of the card. And voila!

Stampin' Up! One Horse Open Sleigh Bay Window card & evelope

For the envelope I stamped this wonderful unadorned tree in stamped off Early Espresso ink. It comes from the Horse & Sleigh stamp set. For the flap, a piece of Subtles DSP cut to 2 1/4 x 6, adhered & trimmed to fit.

Stampin’ Up! Z Fold with One Horse Open Sleigh DSP

Good Friday morning! Is it TGIF for you? Do you have BIG plans or a relaxing time in store for you? Whatever you do, may you be energized. I have an easy Z-Fold card for you today. And yep, using the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP with the Horse & Sleigh bundle.

Stampin' Up! Z fold Horse & Sleigh Bundle

Cut & score the Basic White card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 2 1/8 & 4 1/4. Burnish in an accordian fold (mountain, valley) as shown. The mat panels are Early Espresso: 2 x 5 3/8 (cut 2) and 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and adhered with liquid glue. The Designer Series Paper is One Horse Open Sleigh 6×6 size and uses two sheets to create a flowing scene. They are cut 1 7/8 x 5 1/4 (cut 2) and from the second sheet cut 4 x 5 1/4. Adhere these to the Early espresso panels creating the flowing scene. Using the Horse & Sleigh Dies, I die cut three trees from Shimmer paper and adhered them with dots of glue. I could have stopped there, but… cut a Basic white strip 1 x 6 and score at 3″ & 5″. Cut another strip of DSP 3/4 x 6 and score it at 3″ & 5″. Adhere these two together matching the scoring places. On a 5/8 x 3 Shimmer paper strip stamp the sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh stamp set in Misty Moonlight. Add it to the existing 1 x 6 piece. Add this strip to the left card front (HINT: 3″ mountain fold should be at right edge of DSP panel on the largest panel). Once this glue has dried, close card and with the 1″ end folded in a valley fold, adhere to the right side of the card.. Add embellishments: Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes and a Metallic Pearls in silver.

Stampin' Up! Z Fold Horse & Sleigh, back of card

On the back of the card, I took another of the One Horse Open Sleigh 6×6 sheets and cut it to 4 x 5 1/4. I stamped this sentiment using the Brightest Glow stamp set – and in Misty Moonlight ink.

Stampin' Up! Z fold Horse & Sleigh card & envelope

For the envelope… yet another of the One Horse Open Sleigh 6×6 pieces of DSP cut to 2 1/4 x 6 and adhered to the flap, trimmed to fit. Done.

This suite of products is from the Stampin’ Up! ONLINE EXCLUSIVES and includes the Horse & Sleigh stamp set & Dies, the One Horse Open Sleigh 6×6 DSP packet and the Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes. I’m having such fun with these :O)

Stampin’ Up! Center Step Fold Card with One Horse Open Sleigh DSP

Good Monday morning. I’ve been playing with an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE product, part of the One Horse Open Sleigh suite. I wanted to create another ‘scene’ kind of card and had not done this Center Step fun fold in a while – and thought, why not?

Stampin' Up! One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, Center Step fold

The card base is Boho Blue, mats are Misty Moonlight. The DSP layers are from the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP pack, and I used a couple of different ones which you’ll see as you look at photos. The very fun snowflakes are from this suite of products and they are Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment in copper, gold and white. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center of each snowflake. The ribbon is Night of Navy 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon. It’s best to add the layers to the card base prior to adding the center step fold.

I began by cutting my DSP center step panel as the focus of the card, adhered it to the mat for that panel and the mat to the center step. (HINT: I cut my DSP piece at 4″ , cut the focus panel out and used each remaining side piece for the side panels, trimmed to proper size.)

  • Center step base:
    • Boho Blue, 3 x 6 and scored at 4 1/4 on the long side
  • Center step mat:
    • Misty Moonlight 2 7/8 x 4 1/8
  • Center step DSP:
    • 2 3/4 x 4

Create the card base: Boho Blue 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score @ 3, 6, and 7. Burnish with 3″ score line as a mountain fold, the 6″ score as a valley fold and the 7″ score another mountain.

Stampin' Up! Center step fold card, side view

Attach side panels on middle section allowing for narrow edge (1/16″):

  • Misty Moonlight mat 2 7/8 x 1 1/8 (Cut 2)
  • DSP 2 3/4 x 1 (Cut 2, using the remaining pieces from the initial removal of the focal panel; one from each side piece so the flow of the design carries to both sides. :O)

Add inside pieces. This is where you write your message :O)

  • Misty Moonlight mat 2 7/8 x 5 3/8
  • Basic White 2 3/4 x 5 1/4 (I added a strip of the DSP 5/8 x 2 7/8 and a copper Adhesive-Backed Snowflake & Rhinestone Basic Jewel)
Stampin' Up! Center Step fold card.3

Add center step fold (the 6 x 3 scored piece) to the very bottom of the card front, but do not attach the back of this panel just yet. Add bottom side panels to either side.

  • Misty Moonlight mat 1 1/8 x 1 3/8 (cut 2)
  • DSP 1 x 1 1/4
  • Wrap with ribbon (Night of navy 3/8 Border Ribbon) and adhere in back with glue dot.
  • Slip another length under the front piece and tie a knot; adhere at knot with glue dot; trim ends

Close card with center step fold folded over and laying on back of card. Add glue to adhere to card back. (I added liquid glue at the edge of the fold of the card back and at the end of the center step fold back.)

  • Add Misty Moonlight mat 2 7/8 x 5 3/8
  • Add DSP 2 3/4 x 5 1/4
Stampin' Up! Center Step Fold back
Stampin' Up! Center Step Fold back.2
Stampin' Up! Center Step Fold card & envelope with One Horse Open Sleigh DSP

For the envelope, I added more of the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP to the flap, trimmed to fit and that was it, no extra pattern or stamp on the envelope front.

Because I used ONLINE EXCLUSIVES to make this card, this is the first way to get these products. Use my NEW HOST CODE RMEACWBK to purchase these and other products from me. Stampin’ Up! Gorgeously Made Thank You

Good Saturday morning! I have a un card for you today with a few bright colors from the Masterfully Made DSP. I used one of the dies in this Gorgeously Made bundle that I haven’t used much – the spiral bound die. This die creates an edge like being torn from a notebook! I love it.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeously Made Thank You

I used Azure Afternoon for my card base. Isn’t this a wonderful shade of blue? I roughened up edges of two sheets of paper: Basic White and a flowery panel of the Masterfully Made DSP and adhered them to the card front a bit cockeyed. I took a much smaller section of this beautiful paper and used the spiral die for the top edge and attached it with dimensionals. I die cut this gorgeous leaf using the appropriate die from the Gorgeously Made Dies in Lemon Lime Twist and Vellum. I used a different leaf die from this die set and cut another from Vellum and attached all three to the card front with glue dots. This created a wonderful leaf spray and focal point. I stamped this sentiment in Azure Afternoon ink to a Basic White scrap, die cut with this fun edged die from the Gorgeously Made Dies and adhered it to a scrap from the Masterfully Made DSP, wrapped this fun ribbon around (from the Ribbon Duo Pack, Lemon Lime Twist) and attached the banner with dimensionals. I took another length of this same ribbon and slipped it under the ‘wrap around’ and tied a bow. I adhered it in place with a glue dot. I added three Tinsel Gems 4 Pack in Blueberry Bushel and the card front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeously Made Thank You, inside

For the inside, I used that fabulous spiral die to die cut a Basic White panel and added it to the inside of the card. I die cut another of the fabulous leaves from the Gorgeously Made Dies in Pretty Peacock and attached it with dabs of glue under various leaves to the Basic White panel – and that was it.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeously Made card & envelope

For the envelope, I stamped the front with Azure Afternoon ink using a stamp from the Gorgeously Made stamp set then added another piece of the Masterfully Made DSP to the envelope flap and trimmed it to fit. This is a fun, bright, cheerful thank you card.

Want to get all the goodies to make this card? I can help you do that :O)

Stampin’ Up! Bird’s Eye View Double Po-Up Card

Hello – it’s Friday and I have a fun fold for you today… a Double Pop-Up Card that I saw on Splitcoast Stampers. You can go to YouTube for a video. This fun fold intrigued me and I simply had to make it. We made this card in my card class a bit ago and everyone had a REALLY good time :O)

Stampin' Up! Birds Eye View Double Pop-Up Card

These little birds are so stinkin’ cute! And I love them with glasses, which is a stamp in the set :O)

I used Stampin’ Blends to color everything: on the front – Daffodil Delight for the bird, S300 & S400 for the Branch, Old Olive for the leaves and I fussy cut them. The sentiment on the front comes from Cheerful Daisies stamp set and stamped in Basic Gray on Basic White card stock, die cut with Cheerful Daisies Dies. It was adhered with dimensionals to an Old Olive piece die cut with Deckled Rectangles Dies and adhered with liquid glue to the card front. Tinsel Gems 4 pack in Berry Burst were added for sparkle & glam.

Delightfully Eclectic was my choice of DSP and I used Old Olive for all the constructive parts. Let me walk you through this card, cuz it’s a fun one. You do need to pay attention to measurements and score lines. :O)

Measurements & detail:

  • Card base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Lightly mark the center of the score line @ 2 3/4
    • Cut DSP for inside back: 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and adhere to inside back
  • Cut panel 5 1/2 x 5 1/2, score @ 3, burnish
    • cut DSP to decorate: 5 3/8 x 2 7/8 (left inside section); 5 3/8 x 2 3/8 (right inside section)
    • stamp or decorate as desired (this is a thick card, so I
    • highly recommend only stamping)
    • add to inside of card base with front edges even with one another – see photo

You can see I colored here again… Stampin’ Blends Daffodil Delight for the birds; books are Copper Clay, Pebbled Path, and Pecan Pie. For the book edges I used Light Smoky Slate.

Adhere panel 5 1/4 x 4 of Designer Series Paper Delightfully Eclectic to the inside back panel.

  • Mechanism: 5 3/8 x 2 3/8 scored @ 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 3 3/4 & 5; burnish
    • With 1/2″ end on left, lightly draw lines from first score line to 3rd score line, diagonally to create an X
    • score over these lines, erase pencil marks and burnish
    • add Tear n tape to the 1/2″ end
    • at opposite end of mechanism, add liquid adhesive and adhere to inside card base, left side, centering with score line and pencil mark. You do not want to interfere with the fold, so butt it up against the centerfold

Decorated squares of pop-up:

  • Cut 2 panels 2 3/8 x 2 3/8 same color as card base. Here it is Old Olive.
  • Cut 2 panel 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 from Basic White or patterned paper. I chose Basic White and stamped, colored the 2 squares
    • top square is colored with Daffodil Delight. The ‘branch’ is a die cut from Cheerful Daisies Dies that is really a stem. But cut in Early Espresso it looks like a branch – and is adhered with liquid glue.
    • bottom square is all over stamped eye glasses from the Birds Eye View stamp set.
  • Add these two squares together then to mechanism. Notice how they are separated about 1/4″ This is so they do not interfere in the opening and closing of the card. When the card is closed these pop-ups simply fold right into the card. :O)

For the envelope… I added more of the stripe from Delightfully Eclectic to flap and trimmed it to fit. For the envelope front I stamped this cute bird from Birds Eye View in Basic Gray ink and colored it with Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends. Gads – no photo! What the heck…

Stampin’ Up! Countryside Blossoms Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning. Is it HOT where you are? It is HOT here… and the humidity makes it difficult to breathe. Ugh… Having said all that, this is a sunshiny kind of card. It’s just fresh looking and clean. And pretty much monochromatic. Did this tease you a bit? Hope so!

Stampin' Up! Countryside Blossoms Fun Fold

I began by cutting a length of card stock 4 x 10 and scoring it at 2 1/2 at each end. With the card stock still folded, with the largest die in the Countryside Dies, die cut this piece. The die will hang over a bit on each folded end – this is good! This actually creates the fun fold :O). With the next to largest die, die cut another Basic White piece and emboss it with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. There IS a CENTER point to the embossing folder, a main flower. Use that to center the panel you are embossing.

Attach this embossed piece to the left front fold of the fun fold panel. I chose to decorate this embossed piece just a bit. I had in my stash, a flower already created. It was made with dies from the Paper Florist Dies, Basic White and Crushed Curry card stock. Is this a sweet flower or what! I then added these small Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels, four on each side, on a bump of the embossing. And the front was done.

Stampin' Up! Countryside Dies Fun Fold.2

For the inside… with Wild Wheat card stock, I used the 2nd largest die from Countryside Dies to cut a panel and centered it on the inside of the fun fold. I stamped the sentiment in Memento ink on a Basic White panel and die cut this with the third largest die from Countryside Corners Dies. Another flower was on my desk created using the Paper Florist Dies and I attached it to the card. It used Basic White and Crushed Curry card stock.

I felt this card needed a back as it was only about 3 1/2 x 5 and might get lost in the envelope. I added a piece of the Fresh as a Daisy DSP to a Wild Wheat piece (both 4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and centering the fun fold, added it to the new card base. YAY!

Stampin' Up! Countryside Blossoms Fun Fold.3

For the envelope, I added more of the same Fresh as a Daisy DSP, then stamped the sentiment in Wild Wheat ink. This card can now be used as a thank you, a special occasion, a thinking of you, just about any reason :O)
