Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP with Frame

It’s Christmas Eve morning and excitement is in the air! Before I get too far into my post and the card of the day, let me say thank you to those who follow my blog, post comments, purchase from me, are on my team – all that. Stampin’ Up! has afforded me the opportunity to share my creativity in a whole new way and I so appreciate all of you for sharing in my journey. So, thank you.

Family arrives later today for several days and I will be taking a bit of a break while they are here. I want my focus to be on them and not running to my computer to check for messages concerning this paper crafting business. Yes, each of you is important but family is a priority while they are here – thank you for understanding.

I had this Meandering Meadows DSP on my desk still and couldn’t help but continue playing with it. This time I added this wonderful ‘frame’ that is part of the Garden Meadows Dies. It is die cut from Very Vanilla card stock and added to the DSP with dimensionals. The DSP is adhered to Melon Mambo card stock just slightly larger and that is attached to a Blueberry Bushel card base with dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies buzzing around the flowers for a bit of ‘meadow feeling’.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then the flowers at the bottom in Garden Green ink. This is a precious stamp! The Very Vanilla panel is added to another Melon Mambo piece just slightly larger then into the inside of the card base – and done!

On the envelope I adhered the remaining piece of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 piece, just turned it to the other side. Then stamped that same sweet flower bunch in Garden Green ink on the front.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Meadow Bundle with Merry Bold & Bright DSP

Good Monday – ’tis already Dec 18! How are you doing with shopping? I’m nearly there but not quite :O) today’s the day to finish though. I had this Merry Bold & Bright DSP on my table and decided to use it – in kind of a different way. Really I’m just playing around. And I pulled out the Garden Meadow stamp set bundle. This is a fun bundle found in the new Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. I love the rain boots stamp & coordinating die! And I wanted to use the ‘every day is a fresh start’ sentiment. To me it indicates we can wipe the slate clean and begin again, or… pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start anew. Anyway, here’s my card.

Stampin' Up! Garden Meadow bundle with Merry Bold & Bright DSP

I also pulled out the Heartfelt Hexagon bundle to create the sentiment banner. I stamped the hexagon outline with Melon Mambo ink on a Basic White scrap, punched it out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch then stamped the sentiment in Memento ink using the Garden Meadow stamp set. I stamped the boots in Memento ink as well, but on Merry Bold & Bright DSP, then die cut it with the appropriate die – both from the Garden Meadow bundle. Then I set about making the card base: Melon Mambo 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. I created layers with Flirty Flamingo and more Merry Bold & Bright DSP, trimming each on an angleI layered them together with liquid glue. I placed the boots on dimensionals and attached them. I stamped the sweet flowers in Memento ink using the sweet stamp in Garden Meadow stamp set. I colored the flowers with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. (I should have stamped this sweet stamp in Garden Green ink!) The two layers were attached to the card base with dimensionals, then the hexagon piece was attached also with dimensionals.

For the inside… another layer of Flirty Flamingo was added to the card base. The Basic White panel was stamped first with the sentiment in Melon Mambo ink, then the basket of flowers in Memento ink. Both come from the Garden Meadow stamp set. I colored the flowers & leaves with Stampin’ Blends: Light Poppy Parade, Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Flirty Flamingo and both Dark & Light Lemon Lime Twist.

For the envelope… more of the Merry Bold & Bright DSP on the flap and the same precious basked from the Garden Meadow stamp set stamped on the front in Memento ink – same coloring as the inside basket :O). This card is being sent to a friend who is undergoing chemo treatments and needs a ‘pick-me-up’. I’m hoping this card will help.

Stampin’ Up! Stars At Night Ornaments

Good Wednesday! Midweek – the panic sets in – what is on my list today, what do I need to do first, what, what, what?! Today I’m sharing some of the Stars At Night ornaments I’ve been making. No two are alike, but they are similarities. I pulled out some different colors of glimmer paper and card stock.

Bottom row: on left Stargazing DSP for the circle, Basic White and Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem in the middle; bottom right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper; next row up and left is Three Color Glimmer Paper in Petal Pink, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a pearlized gem, right is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Silver Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper and pearlized gem; third row up is Highland Heather card stock, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather and a pearlized gem, middle is Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White, Three Color Glimmer Paper in Highland Heather, Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Silver Pearl; top row is more of the Oh Holy Night DSP, Basic White and Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center, top right is Basic White, Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and a silver pearl. I used various ribbons that coordinated well with each ornament – Night of Navy Glittered Ribbon, Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon. As I was making a bunch, I pulled out the retired Circles Dies for convenience.

Stampin’ Up! Stippled Roses in Calypso Coral

Good Friday morning! What’s going on in your ‘neck of the woods’? We have coldness here in NJ – 27 degrees this AM – and have our heated bird bath working. The birds are flocking to it! I’m amazed how many are on it at the same time – and variety too. Nature has lessons for us :O)

My card today is another using Stippled Roses – I’m loving the detail of the stamped roses and the die cut leaves are just stunningly detailed.

I ran a Basic White piece through a new embossing folder called Softly Sophisticated 3D EF to create more texture for the card and added it to a Thick Basic White card base. I’ve paired the Softly Stippled DSP with Lost Lagoon card stock, adhered together, then added to the card front on dimensionals. I die cut a circle with the Stylish Shapes Dies as I like the look of the edge. I stamped the rose in Calypso Coral ink on a Basic White scrap & die cut it with the Stippled Roses Dies. I also die cut the leaves in Lost Lagoon card stock with one of the Stippled Roses Dies. I added the leaves to the circle with liquid glue and the rose image with dimensionals. Three Blooming Pearls were added to the circle which was adhered to the card front with liquid glue.

Nothing Calypso Coral on the inside of this card :O) – it’s all Lost Lagoon! Just look at those gorgeous leaves stamped. It’s a single stamp and simply beautiful – from Stippled Roses stamp set. The sentiment comes from the So Sincere stamp set in the retiring Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. I layered the Basic White stamped panel to Lost Lagoon and then right onto the inside of the card base. DONE!

I kept the envelope super simple… added a piece of the Softly Stippled DSP to the envelope flap and that was it.

Stampin’ Up! Brightest Glow & Labels Aglow Dies

Good Tuesday morning! Today is an exciting day for us Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators – for we are able to order Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalogs for our customers, Sale-a-bration catalogs AND items from the mini catalog to preview & play with. Oh my credit card!!! That is not why you joined me today..,. several days ago I mentioned how I thought all Christmas Cards were made – and then I got an order for 10. I completed them last night, so am sharing them this morning.

You can see I used the same layout for every one of the cards, but different card stock layers & DSP. My card base for all of them is Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. Colored card stock layers were pretty much the same as well… 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 and 4 x 3 3/4. Designer Series Papers were adhered to each panel and they are 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 & 3 3/4 x 3 1/2: Shining Christmas SDSP, Winter Meadow DSP, Joy of Christmas DSP. The sentiments were stamped in coordinating ink colors for each card: Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Blueberry Bushel, Lost Lagoon, and Mossy Meadow. I used the Layered Essential Dies for the sentiment area. For the bows: Linen Thread and Simply Elegant Trim in both Silver & gold. The sentiment is from the Brightest Glow stamp set. I did not take a photo of the inside, but used the circle die from the Labels Aglow Dies, stamped it in VersaMark ink and heat set in White Embossing Powder.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Card as Pop Up Shadow Box

Good Friday morning! Ok, December 1 it is and the countdown begins to Christmas or end of year 2023. I hosted a card class yesterday and we have been making cards with the Kraft Note Card & box set. I shared the box some time ago, but I think not this shadow-box card. Click here to see the box post. We used the Fruitful Blessings bundle (includes coordinating dies), Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder, several Stampin’ Blends, Vellum, Deckled Circles Dies, O Holy Night DSP, Wild Wheat and Old Olive card stock.

From the front it is not obvious this is a shadow box card. And, I’ve used two note cards adhered together to make this work. For the front, here’s what we did…

Stamp the image: acorns w/ leaves & additional acorn using the Fruitful Blessings stamp set & Memento ink on Basic White card stock.
Color the acorns with Wild Wheat & Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. Color the leaves with Stampin’ Blends Old Olive.
Die cut a few leaves from Old Olive card stock using the Fruitful Blessings Dies.
Die cut a circle from Vellum using the Deckled Circles Dies (these may be found as part of the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES).
Die cut stamped images using Fruitful Blessings Dies.
Run a panel of Wild Wheat through the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.

The Kraft Note cards are 7 x 5 scored @ 3 1/2. Score again @ 6 1/2. Take another Kraft Note Card and cut to just shy of 4 x 5 and score @ 1/2 at each long side. Adhere the two note card together so they measure 5 x 10 1/2 and score marks appear @ 3 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 & 10. Adhere Tear n Tape between score mark 10 to end of card @ 10 1/2. Die cut 3rd full panel with the Nested Essentials Dies. (For this card I used the Nested Essentials Dies, but would prefer the Countryside Corners Dies.)

I got too excited aboput putting this together that I didn’t take enough photos!!! But here’s the inside. On the 2nd panel is the O Holy Night DSP cut just slightly less than 3 1/2 x 5. The stamped image is from Fruitful Blessings stamped on Basic White, colored with various Stampin’ Blends and adhered in place. Colors are: Wild Wheat, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Copper Clay, Dark Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Orchid Oasis. After adhering this colored piece in place, remove seal on Tear n Tape, close card so this adheres to the back of the card front. The single acorn die cut & the acorn w/ leaves were done same as the card front. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink using the Fruitful Blessings stamp set. The finished card will look like this from a top view.

The class LOVED this card. The images are just wonderful and could be used any time of year – fall or spring.

Stampin’ Up! Two Merriest Trees Christmas Cards

Hello fellow stampers! I’ve been doing family things for several days – too much FUN – and did not put in time for blogging. My apologies! Now I’m working on the last of my Christmas cards and because I had a piece of the Holographic SDSP already on my desk, that inspired me. I mixed it with Silver (& Gold) Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper, O Holy Night DSP and a few other Stampin’ Up! goodies.

Can you see what I did here? I used the Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and the Christmas Classic Dies to die cut the fancy ‘frame’, then used the Holographic SDSP to die cut the tree with the medium size tree in Merriest Trees Dies. The Holographic SDSP was added with dimensionals to the silver ‘frame’ and a star in Basic White was added with a glue dot. I placed a medium size Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center of the star. I peeled off the backing on the fancy silver ‘frame’ and adhered it to the Oh Holy Night DSP. This was attached to a slightly larger piece of Basic White then added to the Night of Navy card base with dimensionals. Simplicity and gorgeousness.

On the 2nd card I used the ‘negative’ of the silver ‘frame’ from card 1 & added it to a Night of Navy card base, die cut another ‘frame’ in Basic White and added it with liquid glue, slipping it in all the appropriate places. I die cut another piece from the Silver (& Gold) Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and added the die cut tree from the Holographic SDSP with dimensionals. I added a gold Adhesive-Backed Star Trinket to this tree :O) I thought this second card needed a sentiment, so die cut a banner using the Christmas Classics Dies and added the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and the Merriest Trees stamp set. This banner was added with dimensionals and two Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were attached for additional glam.

There is little difference between these two inside panels: card 1 is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink from Brightest Glow stamp set (I love this font!!!); card 2 is stamped in Night of Navy ink, also from the Brightest Glow stamp set. The stars on the two cards are slightly different as well… card 1 is in silver foil with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center; card 2 is also from Silver foil, but no rhinestone is added. Both are on Basic White card stock.

On the envelopes I used O Holy Night DSP for the flaps and stamped different sentiments on each: card 1 in Misty Moonlight ink – Brightest Glow stamp set; card 2 in Night of Navy ink – Merriest Trees stamp set. Love being able to use the ‘negatives’ to create a second card! Do you have a favorite? I do, just not going to tell :O)

Stampin’ Up! Saint Nicholas Cards

Good Saturday! What are YOU up to these days? Thanksgiving is next week; Christmas is right around the corner… I counted my Christmas Cards yesterday and realized I must “get hot” as I don’t have nearly enough – :O(. Here are two cards using Saint Nicholas Dies and showing off the DSP two sides. I’ll be curious if you prefer one over the other.

Stampin' Up! Saint Nicholas Dies, card 2

Card 1 uses Mossy Meadow card stock for the base and Shining Christmas SDSP (an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE DSP) plus the fun Burlap Ribbon (from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.) St. Nick is die cut from the fabulous Traditions of St. Nick DSP using the Saint Nicholas Dies. I added three Festive Pearls under the Saint Nicholas stamp set sentiment.

Card 2 uses the Traditions of St. Nick DSP, Thick Basic White card stock for the card base, an embossed panel suing the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder, the Large Check Ribbon, Stylish Shaped Dies circle and a sentiment from Wishes All Around stamp set, and of course a different St Nick directly die cut from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. I also added three Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins in white that are difficult to see in this photo.

Here are the insides of these two cards… look at the wonderful DSP!Each of the ‘add-ons’ on the Basic White panel are from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP: the tree are fussy cut and adhered in place with liquid glue; St Nick was die cut from an edge and also added with liquid glue.

As you can see… coordinating DSP on the envelope flaps; a sentiment stamped from the Saint Nicholas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on card 1; on card 2 another fussy ct tree from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. Same layout for both, yet very different.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Cards

Good morning! Here we are at the end of another week – whoa, it’s going by so quickly. I’ve had trouble with my computer for too many days now. All of a sudden everything started working again… I am shocked but pleased as punch! Photos are coming through – in other words, being synched to my computer – amazing! I’ll keep my finger crossed :O)

In my most recent card class we have been playing with the Kraft Note Cards which come as a set of 20 note cards & envelopes plus a box that is ready to put together. We have also been using the Abundant Beauty Masks to create the cards and decorate the box. And each persons personality is coming through in their own way. Today I’ll share photos of my box.

In the first photo you can see the many layers of the Abundant Beauty floral mask. I used five layers, each colored with Blending Brushes & Crushed Curry for an overall color, then Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and maybe even some Real Red. It’s multi layered just as most flowers are not one solid color. The flower centers are Crushed Curry followed by soft Early Espresso – all using Blending Brushes. The second photo shows that I added Wink of Stella to many of the petals for a bit of bling. To color the larger leaves that are part of the mask, I used Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for shading the tips of the leaves – of course with Blending Brushes. The additional leaves were stamped in those same two colors and Layering Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Leaves Punch. The bow was made with Copper Ribbon from the Burlap & Ribbon Combo Pack, plus a bit of Linen Thread. It’s adhered with a couple of glue dots.

This floral display sits on two die cuts of Designer Series Papers using the Countryside Corners Dies. The larger panel is die cut from Masterfully Made DSP and the top layer is Winter Meadow DSP. These two were adhered together with dimensionals then attached to the belly band with Tear ‘n Tape. The belly band is 2 1/2″ wide x 12 and is cut from Tartan Foil SDSP in Lost Lagoon.

The box… prior to putting it together, I used the houndstooth mask to completely cover the bottom and sides of the box, keeping the mask going in the same direction. I used post-it tape to hold it in place in each section. The color is Early espresso ink with the Blending Brushes of course and I tried to vary the depth of color.
