Stampin’ Up! More Fun with Nature’s Sweetness Suite

I couldn’t help myself – I simply HAD to play some more with the Lovely & Sweet Bundle + the Notes of Nature Bundle – and created today’s card. The Notes of Nature bundle has some very interesting stamps in it – perfect for creating an interesting background for a card or sentiments inside while the Lovely & Sweet stamp set has totally different images. I love how they work together! We made this card in card class yesterday and it’s interesting how folks react to having to use various stamps for a background as opposed to DSP. They really liked their card, but it took a different type of creativity to make it.

Stampin' Up! Monochromatic Nature's Sweetness Suite

I used Pebbled Path and Pecan Pie inks to create the background for this card on Thick Basic White card stock. I then took dies from both Lovely & Sweet Dies AND Notes of Nature Dies to die cut images from the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP. I also die cut the long leaf image from Vellum Basics SDSP. The sentiment is stamped in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White scrap and adhered to Pecan Pie card stock then added to the card with dimensionals. For a final touch on the card front, I added the Adhesive-Backed Cork Dots, then a bow tied from Baker’s Twine Essential Pack in a Crumb Cake color with a glue dot.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the ‘notebook’ type image in Pebbled Path ink, then the sentiment in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White insert, then attached that to the inside of the card. This turned out to be a very monochromatic card, which was not my goal when I initially made it – but I like the final outcome.

For the envelope… a piece of Pebbled Path from the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP pack for the flap, trimmed to fit. For the front of the envelope, a leaf image stamped in Pebbled Path ink using the Notes of Nature stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Sweetness Suite Notebook Cover

Good Wednesday – midweek and I hope it’s going well. Our snow is almost gone but it is still quite cold out. We had a gloriously sunny day yesterday. Ok – doubt you need to hear all that – let’s see what we worked on…

Stampin' Up! Nature's Sweetness Suite Notebook Cover

This is a new suite of products for me – sort of first time playing – and I love this suite! It’s called Nature’s Sweetness Suite. This suite will make marvelous masculine cards, but also can be more feminine. I used the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog for a bit of inspiration – pages 40-43 and this notebook right at my fingertips. It was a bonus for attending OnStage@ Home convention this just fancied it up a bit. One of the things I like to do is use product on items I use at home all the time – like notebooks. They become less ordinary and inspire me in different way.s. I decorate Composition Notebooks all the time and give them away. Folks use them for journaling or note-taking and seem to enjoy a little special notebook. This one is for me :O) and I loved working with the stamps, dies, Fancy Leather Trim and the Adhesive-Backed Cork Dots. The Designer Series Paper – Nature’s Sweetness SDSP – is just gorgeous. What makes it special – patterns of gold on one side!!!

For this project I’m not going to give measurements as the notebook you use is probably going to be different. I used two of the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP for the front, then pulled out the stamps & dies from the two sets in the suite: Notes of Nature stamp set and Notes of Nature Dies + Lovely & Sweet stamp set and it’s coordinating Lovely & Sweet Dies. I also pulled out the Vellum Basic SDSP to do the long leaf die cut – Notes of Nature Bundle. It has such wonderful detail! I also die cut some leaves from Pebbled Path card stock – in keeping with the colors of the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP. I stamped the very front image using Pecan Pie ink – and the stamp & die from the Lovely & Sweet Bundle. Please note the tabs on the side of the notebook – so fun… they are die cut using a die from the Notes of Nature Dies! LOVE that I can do this too. The tabs were die cut from scraps of the Nature’s Sweetness SDSP. I backed each one with Basic White card stock for strength.

Stampin’ Up! Detailed Dogwood Hello Card

Good morning! Another day, another week :O) and just a bit longer days – yay! I have this super sweet Detailed Dogwood stamp that is a free item as part of the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration. Let’s look…

To know what size Basic White for the very front of the card, I started by die cutting a frame with the Perennial Postage Dies. The Old Olive layer was determined after coloring the dogwood. I stamped the dogwood in Memento ink on a 2 7/8 x 4 1/8 panel and colored it with Stampin’ Blends Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Old Olive. The sentiment is stamped in Memento ink from Softly Sophisticated stamp set – another FREE ITEM as part of Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration. I then adhered it to an Old Olive panel 3 x 4 1/4, then to the Perennial Postage die cut frame. I ran a Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4) through the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that to a Thick Basic White card base (4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2). As a final touch, I added three Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Petal Pink. This card has a very feminine & friendly look.

For the inside… anopther image from the Detailed Dogwood stamp set was stamped in Memento ink on the Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4). Again, it was colored in Stampin’ Blends Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Old Olive. This was adhered to an Old Olive piece slightly larger and into the inside of the card. Love the softness.

Stampin’ Up! Doggone Friends Note

I had such fun working on this card. For one thing, I’m a dog lover and this stamp, Doggone Friends, just makes me smile. It’s single large stamp in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog. I used the Notes of Nature stamp set (also from that catalog) to create the sentiment and taped off a portion to use just the part I needed.

Here’s the scoop:

* Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
* Basic White 4 x 5 1/4 run through the Basics 3D embossing Folder (ONLINE EXCLUSIVE), Cross Hatch – adhere to card base front
* Stamp Doggone Friends image on Basic White with Memento ink; trim to 2 3/4 x 4 1/4
* Add stamped image to Crumb Cake card stock – 2 7/8 x 4 3/8; then to Basic Black card stock 3 x 4 1/2
* Wrap with Black Twine from Basic Twine Essentials Pack, twice around and tie bow. Secure bow with glue dot.
* Add these to card front with dimensionals.
* Using 2″ Circle Punch (ONLINE EXCLUSIVE), punch a Vellum circle; add over twine with mini dimensionals
* Stamp sentiment from Notes of Nature stamp set in Memento ink, taping off the rest of the sentiment. Adhere to Vellum with Stasmpin’ Seal
* Add Classic Matte Dots for embellishment

For the inside…Trim remaining piece from original stamping to fit Basic White panel (4 x 5 1/4). Mine is about 1 1/4 as I wanted full dog faces to show!

For the envelope… A bit of Zany Zoo DSP for the envelope as I wanted to stick with the black & white idea :O) For the front, I cut another section of the remaining stamped piece of Doggone Friends for the card front and adhered it in place with Stampin’ Seal. And that was it! I LOVE THIS CARD!!!! It’s friendly, can be used for a man or woman and for all kinds of occasions. The other part is, change the colors, use just about any DSP in lieu of the stamped panel, use ribbon instead of twine. It’s a fabulous layout.

Stampin’ Up! Big Hugs with Perennial Postage

Good Saturday – shop, shop, shop til you drop. Have you done all that? The Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog and Sale-a-Bration catalogs went live Jan 4. If you do not have those catalogs or a demonstrator, please reach out to me and we’ll get those to you ‘likety split’.

My card today is another one of those that can be used for several different occasions: love you, thinking of you, congratulations, feel better soon, even Valentines – all that.

Stampin' Up! Big Hugs w/ Perennial Postage

To make this card, I used a Sweet Sorbet card base and covered the front with this wonderful stripe from Bee Mine DSP. I then die cut the Basic White with Scallop Contour Dies and cut another coordinating panel of Bee Mine DSP to fit inside the ‘stitch’ lines of the die cut. These were both adhered to the card front with liquid glue. With the Stitched Shape Dies, I created a circle from Basic White. I punched the heart using the Country Bouquet Punch ‘cuz I like the shape of the heart :O). I stamped the sentiment first with VersaMark then sprinkled it with white embossing powder then heat set it. The sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set. I adhered this with liquid glue to the circle and the circle to the card front with dimensionals. I tied a double bow with White Bakers Twine and attached it with a glue dot.

For the inside… I had a scrap of the stripe from Bee Mine DSP and simply added it to the top of the Basic White panel, then punched several hearts – again with the Country Bouquet Punch. The Basic White heart is from a scrap that had been embossed with the Tile 3D embossing folder and i really liked how it made the heart sort of ‘come alive’. These were adhered with liquid glue and the inside was complete.

For the envelope, another punched heart with the Country Bouquet Punch for the envelope front and another piece of the stripe from Bee Mine DSP for the flap – and done!

Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Suite

TODAY’S THE DAY… the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog AND the Jan-Feb 2024 Sale-a-Bration Catalog go LIVE. Whoopie! So here’s my card today, showcasing Painted Lavender Bundle and Perennial Postage AND the Perennial Lavender DSP– all are part of a suite of products found on pages 22-25.

I’ve used several of the suite products to make this card… Softly Sophisticated embossing folder is a FREE item in the Sale-a-Bration catalog with a qualifying purchase. It’s the background for this card and I love the delicate imprint. The next layer is a Crumb Cake piece die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies. On that is Gorgeous Grape card stock, cut to fit inside the stitched lines of the die cut. Then of course is this stunning DSP – Perennial Lavender DSP, cut just a wee bit smaller. These three layers were adhered together and added to the Thick Basic White card base and embossing folder with dimensionals. I then die cut three ‘stems’: the largest from Lost Lagoon card stock, and the two smaller in Gorgeous Grape & Basic White. These dies come from Perennial Lavender Dies and were attached with liquid glue. I pulled out the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut another piece of Crumb Cake for the sentiment. The stamped sentiment comes from Perennial Postage stamp set & is stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Before adhering the sentiment with dimensionals, I tied a large bow using the Woven Metallic Ribbon in Orchid Oasis and attached it with a glue dot and the sentiment panel goes right over it. I like the sparkle of the ribbon and how the shades of purple flow together and compliment one another. I think I’m going to have to add a few of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that are part of this suite!

For the inside… on a Basic White panel I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink slightly off-center (from Perennial Postage stamp set), then stamped the lovely floral bouquet (from Painted Lavender stamp set) in stamped off Highland Heather ink. This creates a wonderfully feminine effect that coordinates with the feminine front of the card.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavender Suite card & envelope

For the envelope, I stamped the same floral bouquet from Painted Lavender stamp set in stamped off Highland Heather ink on the envelope front. Love, love – and hope you do as well.

The sentiments used for this card make it an all occasion card that can be used for thinking of you to birthday greeting to missing you. I really like this flexibility!

OK – how to get these…. the suite number is 162613 or items can be ordered separately. Unless there is something I really, realloy don’t want in a suite of prodcuts, I usually order the full suite – one number does it all. And just so you know, there is no advantage other than inputting one number as opposed to several numbers on the order form. The bottom price is the same.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP with Frame

It’s Christmas Eve morning and excitement is in the air! Before I get too far into my post and the card of the day, let me say thank you to those who follow my blog, post comments, purchase from me, are on my team – all that. Stampin’ Up! has afforded me the opportunity to share my creativity in a whole new way and I so appreciate all of you for sharing in my journey. So, thank you.

Family arrives later today for several days and I will be taking a bit of a break while they are here. I want my focus to be on them and not running to my computer to check for messages concerning this paper crafting business. Yes, each of you is important but family is a priority while they are here – thank you for understanding.

I had this Meandering Meadows DSP on my desk still and couldn’t help but continue playing with it. This time I added this wonderful ‘frame’ that is part of the Garden Meadows Dies. It is die cut from Very Vanilla card stock and added to the DSP with dimensionals. The DSP is adhered to Melon Mambo card stock just slightly larger and that is attached to a Blueberry Bushel card base with dimensionals. I added three Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies buzzing around the flowers for a bit of ‘meadow feeling’.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then the flowers at the bottom in Garden Green ink. This is a precious stamp! The Very Vanilla panel is added to another Melon Mambo piece just slightly larger then into the inside of the card base – and done!

On the envelope I adhered the remaining piece of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 piece, just turned it to the other side. Then stamped that same sweet flower bunch in Garden Green ink on the front.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows DSP Simple Card

Good morning! Today’s card is super simple – intentionally. I’m interested in making several of these to use as a quick notice of thinking of you, or concern, or birthday, or just a note, whether it be of appreciation or thanks or hello friend. I love the color contrasts in this DSP and for the simple layers. Behold… Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP.

Blueberry Bushel is one of the coordinating colors for this DSP and I used it for my card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I trimmed the Meandering Meadows DSP to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and adhered it to Petal Pink just slightly larger. These two panels were added to the card base with dimensionals. As a final touch, three birds were added from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds. They show beautifully because they are brass!

For the inside… I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto a Basic White panel, and it comes from the Garden Meadow stamp set, then added a strip of the Meandering Meadows 6×6 DSP to the bottom (a continuation of the pattern from the card front). This was added to another panel of Petal Pink just slightly larger, then into the inside of the card.

The envelope flap got more of the same panel of Meandering Meadow DSP, just the other side of that 6×6 piece to create the card front! On the front of the envelope, I stamped the floral image in Basic Gray ink as it simulates the flowers in the scene on the card front. :O) Stampin’ Up! is really clever in the way they pair the DSP with stamp bundles – and actually, these are all a part of a suite of products in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. Stampin’ Up! December Paper Pumpkin is a WOW!

Good morning! My December Paper Pumpkin arrived yesterday and with no outside obligations last night I set right to work to put it together. The cards are gorgeous… and spring-like. There’s even a clear box for them so they can be given as a gift :O)

These last two photos show the envelope front and the acetate box with all nine cards inside. Notice there is a wrap around (belly band) piece with a single flower attached. Stampin’ Up! really went all out with this months kit. I love everything about them – and they took such a short time putting them together. I felt no need to come up with alternatives either – these are so pretty. At least for me – they fit the bill perfectly!

This kit is appropriately called All The Best and makes nine gorgeous cards. I’m hoping to pick up a refill or two when they become available. If you would like to start a Paper Pumpkin subscription, you can do that here. There are various types of subscriptions and you can find that info here.

Stampin’ Up! Kraft Note Cards

Good morning! Here we are at the end of another week – whoa, it’s going by so quickly. I’ve had trouble with my computer for too many days now. All of a sudden everything started working again… I am shocked but pleased as punch! Photos are coming through – in other words, being synched to my computer – amazing! I’ll keep my finger crossed :O)

In my most recent card class we have been playing with the Kraft Note Cards which come as a set of 20 note cards & envelopes plus a box that is ready to put together. We have also been using the Abundant Beauty Masks to create the cards and decorate the box. And each persons personality is coming through in their own way. Today I’ll share photos of my box.

In the first photo you can see the many layers of the Abundant Beauty floral mask. I used five layers, each colored with Blending Brushes & Crushed Curry for an overall color, then Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and maybe even some Real Red. It’s multi layered just as most flowers are not one solid color. The flower centers are Crushed Curry followed by soft Early Espresso – all using Blending Brushes. The second photo shows that I added Wink of Stella to many of the petals for a bit of bling. To color the larger leaves that are part of the mask, I used Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock for shading the tips of the leaves – of course with Blending Brushes. The additional leaves were stamped in those same two colors and Layering Leaves stamp set and the coordinating Leaves Punch. The bow was made with Copper Ribbon from the Burlap & Ribbon Combo Pack, plus a bit of Linen Thread. It’s adhered with a couple of glue dots.

This floral display sits on two die cuts of Designer Series Papers using the Countryside Corners Dies. The larger panel is die cut from Masterfully Made DSP and the top layer is Winter Meadow DSP. These two were adhered together with dimensionals then attached to the belly band with Tear ‘n Tape. The belly band is 2 1/2″ wide x 12 and is cut from Tartan Foil SDSP in Lost Lagoon.

The box… prior to putting it together, I used the houndstooth mask to completely cover the bottom and sides of the box, keeping the mask going in the same direction. I used post-it tape to hold it in place in each section. The color is Early espresso ink with the Blending Brushes of course and I tried to vary the depth of color.
