Stampin’ Up! Textured Chic DSP and More for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday to you! Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop with a fun sketch challenge.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop 12/8
Stampin' Up! Blog Hop Sketch Challenge 12/8

Time is quickly nearing Christmas – how many days? I’m not going to count, it’s too scary! We have our tree up & decorated and I finally found the tree skirt :O) I put it away in a different place last year but couldn’t remember just where that was :O( We don’t usually put our tree up quite so early (it’s fresh cut) but hubby is having knee replacement surgery next week and everything will go on hold for a bit. I’m hoping to continue posting regularly but we’ll see. My goal is to prep ahead so I can give him all the time necessary, but … there’s always a but.

Today’s card uses two main stamp bundles: both the Seasoned Chic with Chic Dies and Christmas Banners with Christmas Banners Dies.

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic.Blog Hop 12/8.1

The card base is a typical A2 tent card on it’s side with Evening Evergreen. I’ve layered a panel of Textured Chic 12 x 12 DSP on Basic White and adhered it to the card front, leaving a border both top & bottom. Next I used the splendid Chic Dies to die cut snowflakes from Basic White and Soft Succulentcard stocks. Then I stamped the banner on Basic White with Soft Succulent ink and the Christmas Banners stamp set. The words on the banner are also Soft Succulent ink and come from the Christmas Banner stamp set. I attached the banner to the card front with dimensionals then added the snowflakes with liquid glue, glue dots or dimensionals.nFor a bit of extra glam and to bring in another color, I used the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and love the subtle contrast!

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic.Blog Hop 12/8.2

For the inside, snowflakes from the Season of Chic stamp set stamped randomly in Soft succulent ink. The sentiment comes from the Season of Chic stamp set and is in Evening Evergreen ink. All this on a Basic White panel then secured into the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic.Blog Hop 12/8.3

For the envelope, a coordinating panel of the Textured Chic DSP for the flap and a few more snowflakes from Season of Chic stamp set in Soft Succulent ink on the front – and done! This card has a real elegance and simplicity at the same time: soft colors and not too fussy. This would an easy card to replicate if necessary.

Now – time to move along the hop to the fabulous Carol Buckalew. Either click on the ‘next’ button or on a name if you prefer to hop around.

Stampin’ Up! Season of Chic Bundle Thinking of You

Welcome to Tuesday! I’ve a fun card for you today that is pretty quick & easy – and we all like quick & easy, especially now. We had a Team Meeting Sunday afternoon and this card was demonstrated by Tara Carpenter. I’ve used different colors, but the idea is the same.

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic Thinking of You.1

I like that the colors are rather soft for the die cut. And I’m calling this particular die cut ‘mesh’ or ‘netting’, cuz that’s what I think of when I see it :O) – using the Chic Dies of course And I die cut it from Textured Chic 12 x 12 DSP. I set that aside and die cut a few of the outline flowers from the Chic Dies from 12 x 12 Foil Sheets – in Gold. Next I ran a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla card stock through the Timeworn Type 3D embossing Folder and began assembling. Thick Very Vanilla for the tent card base, layer of Mango Melody card stock, then the embossed panel. Just a few dabs of liquid glue to hold the ‘mesh’ to the embossed panel. Stamp the sentiment from Season of Chic stamp set in Petal Pink ink and die cut with the smallest of the Deckled Rectangle Dies and adhere with dimensionals. I again used dabs of liquid glue to attach the two outline floral dies to the sentiment banner. For a final touch, three Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed dots in Rose Gold were added. And the card front was done!

Stampin'n Up! Season of Chic Thinking of you.inside

I kept the inside very simple – another of the floral outline die cuts from the Chic Dies was added to a panel of Very Vanilla card stock, and that was added to the inside of the card. Done. This card is going to a friend whose husband had a stroke recently, son lots of support needed for both of them!

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic Thinking of you.3

See the Textured Chic 12 x 12 DSP on the envelope flap? That is the very same DSP I used to die cut the ‘mesh’ on the card front! Remember, Season of Chic and Chic Dies – a great bundle!!!

Stampin’ Up! Texture Chic and Snowflakes

Good Tuesday morning! I was driving around town yesterday doing errands and oh my goodness – the tree colors are spectacular! The yellows, golds, oranges and rust, reds – they are in their prime showing off. It was simply jaw-dropping stunning. Of course – that has nothing to do with my card today, I just simply HAD to share the glory that is out there… Today’s card… Wintry 3D Embossing Folder (using the snowflake), Taylor Made Tags and the wonderful Texture Chic DSP share the spotlight on this card.

Stampin' Up! Texture Chic DSP & Snowflakes.1

I used the Chic Dies that coordinate with the Season of Chic stamp set to create the die cut snowflakes: Basic White, Soft Succulent and some Kraft card stock. I used the Tailor Made Tags Dies for, what else, the various tags :O) Two of them are die cut from Texture Chic Specialty DSP and the top one is is Basic White stamped with Pool Party ink. Everything is layered: some with liquid adhesive, others with dimensionals. The bow is from the fabulous Threaded Twine. I simply cut a length and pulled several of the threads apart and made a bow. It has a very natural look that I like a lot. Once I did all the die cuts, I put the card together: Crumb Cake card stock for the card base. This was layered with a panel of Basic White run through the Wintry 3D embossing folder twice (to fill the page so to speak). OH… I DID use a Blending Brush to add a bit of Crumb Cake ink to various snowflakes – to give it a bit of a vintage look. Then the rest was added as you see. I die cut the larger snowflake twice: once in Basic White, again in Soft Succulent and adhered them together, holding all the inner pieces together as best I could. For glam I added the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the center of many of the snowflakes.

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic.inside.2

On a Basic White panel I stamped the snowflake (love this stamp!!!) in Pool Party ink then the ‘splatter’ stamp also from the Season of Chic stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink. So here’s my confession… I wish I had done it the other way: snowflake in Evening Evergreen and splatter in Pool Party. As it is the splatter is too strong, it shows more than the snowflake 😦 Once the panel was added to the inside of the card – it was done.

Stampin' Up! Texture Chic & Snowflakes.3

For the envelope, more of the Texture Chic DSP on the envelope flap, adhered & trimmed to fit. I stamped the snowflake in Evening Evergreen ink and love it! Of course, it is from Season of Chic stamp set.

Stampin’ UP! Seasons of Chic Leaves

Except for yesterdays Blog Hop in which I participated, I have focused on the Seasons of Chic Bundle for my cards this week. I am enamored with the versatility of this stamp set & dies. Today’s card is no exception. And I’ve certainly let you know how I gravitate toward monochromatic cards.

Seasons of Chic.1

The card base is thick Basic White. The next two layers are Shimmery White Paper. It’s a cross between Basic White and Very Vanilla, just not so creamy as the VV. Here’s what I did…

  • Die cut the front panel of Shimmery White card stock with Stitched Rectangles Dies. I used the smallest of the large set of dies.
  • Use Foam adhesive strips to line the rectangle and portions of the card to layer on another panel of Shimmery White card stock. SEE PHOTO.
Foam adhesive strips
  • Remove backing on strips and adhere to the slightly larger Shimmery White Paper.
  • Stamp the two-step leaf from Seasons of Chic stamp set in Petal Pink ink and Sahara Sand ink (both second generations), then die cut with the Chic Dies. It’s nearly impossible to see in this photo, but the vein stamp is in Sahara Sand ink, the other leaf stamp was stamped first in second generation Petal Pink ink.
  • Die cut two more leaves in Shimmery White.Layer the three leaves together adhering with liquid glue along the stems.
  • Tie a bow with strands of Linen Thread & Simply Elegant Trim in Gold, together and around the stems. Add a touch of liquid glue to the knot so it stays in place.
  • Put dimensionals on the stamped leaf and adhere to the die cut frame cutout.
  • Add three Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels too the card.
  • Adhere the two Shimmery White Paper panels to the Thick Basic White card base.
Seasons of Chic. Leaves.1

For the inside… Stamp the sentiment in Sahara Sand ink from the Seasons of Chic stamp set. Add two more of the die cut leaves (these are smaller & different from those on front, but die cut from Shimmery White Paper) to the Basic White panel. Adhere panel to the inside of the card. DONE!

Seasons of Chic. Leaves. inside

For the envelope, I stamped this stunning leaf (w/ veins) to the front and on the flap ~ second generation Sahara Sand ink. Oh boy… I really, really like this card! What can I say… this Season of Chic Bundle is a MUST HAVE!

Stampin’ Up! Seasoned Chic for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

It’s the monthly Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! AND… the theme is celebrate summer. Oh my – so MANY bundles to chose from to share. I chose a new bundle in the 2022 Annual Catalog called Seasoned Chic. There are papers that coordinate – for several seasons – so you’ll see more use of this bundle & DSP this week :O)

Seasoned Chic for Summer.1

Does this remind you of the beach? It should with all the shells :O) I started by doing some stamping and die cutting. On Basic White card stock I stamped the larger shell from Seasoned Chic stamp set three times in Sahara Sand ink, another in Petal Pink ink, another in Sahara Sand & Petal Pink inks ~ and die cut them all with the shell outline die from the Chic Dies. I die cut two outline dies of the same shell design: one in Shimmery White and the other in Distressed Gold. I pulled out another shell die and die cut it from Shimmery White card stock & another in Rose Gold 12 x 12 Specialty Foil. I also die cut the ‘netting’ in Gold & Rose Gold 6×6 Metallic Specialty Paper. (CLUE… I should NOT have used that paper for the netting. The little pieces were a nightmare to remove! But… I like the contrast & texture it provides for this card, so in the long run it was worth it.)

I then cut a piece of the Texture Chic Specialty Paper and mounted it on slightly larger Gold Foil. I put dimensionals on the back and adhered that to a Sahara Sand card base. Then the layers began… netting first, adhered with liquid glue; then shells – some attached with liquid glue and some with dimensionals and some with both. The little ones were tucked in with dabs of liquid glue. I would Linen Thread in a circle and slipped it under one of the shells with glue dots. Finally… Faux Sea Glass Shapes.

Seasoned Chic for Summer, inside

Again on a Basic White panel, I stamped the shell: detail in Petal Pink and the more solid stamp in Sahara Sand (stamped off). This piece was adhered to the inside of the card – and done!

Seasoned Chic for Summer.3

Envelope… more of the Texture Chic Specialty Paper on the flap and another shell stamped on the front in Petal Pink and Sahara Sand inks – both stamped off first. Love, love the final card ~ and of course, I hope you do too.

I can’t wait to see what the other gals have created for the hop. Hit the previous or next buttons to travel on.

The other two catalogs available right now are the Jul-Dec 2022 Catalog and the Sale-a-bration Catalog which shows all the FREE items items offered by Stampin’ Up! in Jul-Aug 31. When ordering, please also use my current host code: YM6ZTUJE. I offer my customers a free item from Stampin’ Up! item valued to $10 with your order of $50 and above. Click here to go my store. When the order is over $150, you still receive that free gift from me, but SU! has Stampin’ Rewards that may be used for additional products, so don’t use the host code at that time. If you have questions just let me know. If you would like to be able to order products early from catalogs AND enjoy that 20% discount, join my team now… you may do that here. WooHoo! We have lots of fun and are a creative bunch that encourages & supports one another. Would love to have you. :O)

Star Special kicking off the new Jul-Dec 2022 Mini Catalog

  • When you have earned 8 STAR Rewards you will get a FREE product order valued up to $40.00, your choice, and mailed directly to you! Is that a deal or what???
  • You also earn my monthly Online Class Tutorial of exclusive projects when you place an order.
