Maker someone happy sending them a handmade card filled with love.
Hi everyone… I didn’t post yesterday, silly me. But I had a REALLY good read of the most recent National Geographic magazine AND worked outside. But… here’s a promised card done in Parakeet Party – one of the new In Colors. It may seem a bit bright, but I have to say, I really, really like it. :O)
C’mas Banners Bundle.1
The card base as you can see, is Parakeet Party with a die cut in the same color die cut with Candy Canes Dies and adhered to the card base with liquid glue. The next is a grouping created on the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 DSP (Sweet Sorbet). Layers attached to the DSP are die cuts in Garden Green card stock,Lovely Layers Vellum, Soft Suede, and the berries are die cut from 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 Glimmer Paper, Sweet Sorbet. The holly is stamped in both Garden Green ink & Parakeet Party ink on Basic White. The sentiment banner is stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink with the words in Garden Green ink. This was die cut with the Christmas Banner Dies and is on dimensionals. The fabulous die cut background is a die from the Candy Canes Dies, cut from Parakeet Party card stock and adhered with liquid glue to the same color card base. Isn’t that die wonderful? The Parakeet Party is a non-traditional color for Christmas, but I really like how it all ties together. Hubby is a conservative man and I wasn’t sure what he would think either, but he liked it a lot! The last touch for the card front was three Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins in white.
C’mas Banners Bundle, inside
For the inside… the pine frond stamp from the Christmas Banners stamp set, first in Parakeet Party, then in Garden Green on the basic white panel.
C’mas Banners Bundle.3
As you can see, the envelope got the same treatment: pine frond from the C’mas Banners stamp set, stamped first in Parakeet Party ink, then in Garden Green ink. What do you think of the colors? It’s hard to tell the Sweet Sorbet is not Real Red! And I have to say, I like the contrasts of color.

It’s Thursday!!! And time for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have a sketch challenge for today and it was kinda fun to play around with it.
And here’s the challenge…
Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop Challenge. Oct 28
And here’s how I interpreted that sketch.
Wintry 3D.1
What do you think? Does it resemble the sketch challenge? The ribbon was a bit fiddly to do… I needed three hands :O] I started with Pear Pizzazz card stock for the base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I cut another panel of Pear Pizzazz (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) and ran it through the Wintry 3D embossing folder two times. Why two times? Because the width of the card and the width of the embossing folder were really not the same – and I wanted the embossing on both edges of the paper. (This is a gorgeous embossing folder set. That’s right, I did say set. There are two: one is this pine evergreen gorgeousness and the other is snowflakes. This is definitely one of those ‘must have’ embossing folders.)
I adhered the embossed panel to the card front with liquid glue. I cut a piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP 3 x 5 1/2 and adhered that in the center of the embossed piece. Then I did the fiddly part with the ribbon. Truth be told, I’m not certain how this should be done, but I’ll share how I did it. If you know a better way (less fiddly) please let me know!!! I used Seal+ on the back of the ribbon, then on the front of the ribbon too – just at the top, and started folding and holding and folding and holding. Do you have the picture? I had the card stock held in place on my grid paper in order to keep the ribbon straight – with what else, Post-it note! Post-its are an awesomely incredible product and I use them a LOT.
But back to the ribbon… somehow I got it on the paper without losing my mind AND it was pretty straight. Next I stamped the sentiment on a Real Red panel with VersaMark ink, then sprinkled White Embossing Powder over it and heat set. The sentiment comes from Christmas to Remember stamp set and was die cut with the Seasonal Labels Dies. Once cut I put dimensionals on the back and placed it over the ribbon. I added two Genial Gems – one at each end of the banner… and the card front was done! Yay. And you know what? I really like it.
Wintry C’mas.2
For the inside I added a strip of the same Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the side of a Basic White panel. I added a sentiment with Real Red ink from Christmas to Remember stamp set. What I like to do with sentiments is use the Stamparatus to make certain the sentiment is ‘square’ with the paper. It sure beats having the sentiment crooked and having to re-do the panel… ask me how I know that. Yeah, maybe don’t. đł Now that the card is done, what’s next… oh yes!!! the envelope. heh heh.
Wintry C’mas,3
So, the envelope… adhere a 2 1/4 x 6 strip of the same Heartwarming Hugs DSP to the envelope flap, trim to fit and ~ DONE. That’s it… the card is now added to the Christmas card stash for sending in early December. It’s probably time to count the cards again. That way I’ll know what I have and… drum roll please, how close I am to what I need. :} Nope, not even guessing…

Since this is a Blog Hop, it’s important to have a list of those participating and their links – see below. You can always use the ‘next’ button, but sometimes the idea is to jump around. Enjoy… there will be some fabulous cards today!
I couldn’t help it… I just HAD to make a card to go with the cute gift box from yesterday… It is super simple. The Striped paper is from the Beautifully Penned 12 x 12 DSP that is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 order. The other main products are the Scalloped Contour Dies and the Poinsettia Dies. I also used two different embossing powders for a modern-type look (goes with the stripy paper, don’t you think so?) Black Embossing Powder for the sentiment on the front of the card (from Poinsettia Petals stamp set) and White Embossing Powder for the poinsettias on the inside of the card and front of the envelope (also from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.) And the plus one is the red ~ Real Red card stock for the berries & background papers & the Wonderful Gems in red.
Black & White + One, Part 2.1
I wanted to keep the same stamp set/ dies to make this a unified set – remember yesterday’s box. If you didn’t see that post, you may view it here. However, I will be giving directions for the box in today’s post.
Card info & very basic directions: (this card is so simple, it doesn’t need a lot of explanation)
Thick Basic White 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2
Real Red card stock 4 7/8 x 3 5/8 (cut 2), 2 1/2 x 3 1/8 + scrap for berries
Basic White card stock 2 3/4 x 3 (die cut piece for front – Scalloped Contour Dies), 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 (inside panel)
Beautifully Penned DSP 3 12 x 4 3/4, 2 1/4 x 6 (envelope flap)
VersaMark ink + Black Embossing Powder for the front sentiment: heat set
VersaMark ink + White Embossing Powder for the poinsettia on the inside panel & the front of the envelope: heat set. I did use a sponge dauber & Real Red ink for the envelope front but don’t like the effect!!
Three Wonderful Gems in red
DSP & Real Red are adhered together with Stampin’ Seal, then added to card front with dimensionals
Scalloped panel is adhered to Real Red with Stampin’ seal, then added to card front as shown with dimensionals
Berry die cuts adhered with liquid glue and slipped in. Each was cut apart to create the fullness
Black & White + One, Part 2. 2 & 3
This card goes so nicely (I think) with the box…
Black & White + One, Part 2.4
The box directions:
Cut paper 4 x 12
score on the long side 1, 5 1/2, 6 1/2, and 11
score on the short side at 1 & 3
burnish
Trim as shown in photo, add Stampin Seal on small trimmed pieces, fold together adhering. Lid folds over the top.
Box template
For the DSP box I did add reinforcement to the bottom, using Thick Basic White and the same DSP, adhering them in with Seal+.

Hello fellow stampers! It’s Friday, a bit rainy here today. Not sure how long it will last. I have one more card to share from our Team Meeting on Sunday, but I just had to pop in with this very cute box. My paper of choice for this is the Beautifully Penned 12 x 12 DSP that is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase. More on that later in the post. I’ve chosen Black & White cuz there’s a challenge for Black & White plus one other color…. and I chose red.
Black & White + One.1
Other products…
Poinsettia Dies (coordinates w/ Poinsettia Petals stamp set)
Seasonal Labels Dies (coordinates w/ Christmas Season stamp set)
Vellum
Basic White card stock
Real Red card stock
Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon
Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Wink of Stella
The ‘how’ to decorate this box…
die cut the vellum using the smallest label die in the Seasonal Labels Dies
die cut three poinsettia petals using the Poinsettia Dies & Basic White card stock, cover with Wink of Stella, adhere together with glue dots and mini dimensionals. I used the mini dimensional only for adding the top petal.
die cut the berry spray using another of the Poinsettia Dies and Real Red card stock., cut apart as desired
add the vellum to the box with Stampin’ Seal+ just across the middle of the Vellum. This will be very secure and the adhesive will be covered by the decoration.
adhere the berries with more Stampin’ Seal+
add the poinsettia with two glue dots
Add three Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the three varied sizes for a bit of sparkle & glam
tie the Real Red Ribbon Double-Stitched Ribbon around the end of the box, making a bow – done!
Tomorrow I’ll give complete directions for the box & a card to go with it. đ

Today’s card uses – as the title suggests – the Artistically Inked bundle and the beautiful Stitched Greenery Dies. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think I would like the Stitched Greenery Dies – but I DO!!!. It leaves this beautiful imprint that is delicate and well, just beautiful. The card is pretty simple with a couple of layers for added charm & depth. This die is in the NEW July-December Min Catalog that will be available to customers Aug 3. More about that later in this post…
.1Hello w/ Artistically Inked
We start off with a card base of So Saffron card stock and cover the front with Regals 6×6 DSP in Crushed Curry. We then run a panel of Basic White through the Cut & Emboss machine using the Stitched Greenery Dies and cut it down to the size I wanted. I adhered this to another Basic White panel that was slightly larger, for strength. Stamp the ‘hello’ from the Artistically Inked stamp set in Memento Black ink and fussy cut. Stamp the single rose in So Saffron ink (stamped off once) on a Basic White scrap and die cut with the Artistic Dies. Stamp the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink (also stamped off once) on another Basic White scrap and die cut those with the appropriate dies in the Artistic Dies. I played around a bit with how I wanted the leaves then adhered them to the back of the rose with liquid glue I put dimensionals on the back of the rose and on the back of the double leaf and set it aside. I put dimensionals on the back of the hello and set it aside as well. I cut a strip of Basic White and wrapped Gingham Ribbon in Bumblebee around it, using glue dots to secure in place. I added the strip to the left edge of the Basic White panel with liquid glue and put dimensionals on the right end where it extends. I added the hello on the extended end and the rose & leaves to the corner. The upper leaf that extends has a double layer of dimensionals. For that final glam I added three Opal Rounds and the card front was complete. đ
Hello w/ Artistically Inked.2
For the inside I stamped the splotch from the Artistically Inked stamp set in stamped off So Saffron ink. I then pulled out the Quiet Meadow stamp set and stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink ~ all this on a Basic White panel. The panel was adhered on the inside of the card with liquid glue and voila! Love this…
Hello w/ Artistically Inked.3
For the envelope, I stamped the flap with the same splotch with Pear Pizzazz ink full strength and that was it. You will notice in this picture there are no Opal Rounds – I added them after I took this photo! So tell me – do you like the card better with or without the Opal Rounds? This is a test đ. I like them better with – obviously.
I like this card – it’s bright, fresh looking and has dimension and texture and was fun to create. I just let my mind decide what was next. The other thing I did was mix the shades of yellow and it’s hard to tell. The So Saffron rose is softer than it’s Crushed Curry background or the Bumblebee Gingham ribbon, but they do not clash – they compliment. That’s Stampin’ Up!
Card cuts are listed at the bottom of this post. Products for todays project are from the 2021-22 Annual Catalog AND the NEW Jul-Dec Mini Catalog. They may be found in the list below. I’ve made it easy for you to simply ‘add all to cart’. If I can help you in any way to order these items, or others, please give me a holler. As a thank you to my customers, when the order is between $50-$150 I offer a SU! item of your choice valued at $10. Remember to use MY NEW HOST CODE for July – 4TKMUNQH . When the order is over $150, you still receive that free gift from me, but SU! has Stampin’ Rewards that may be used for additional products, so don’t use the host code at that time. If you have questions just let me know. If you would like to be able to order products early from catalogs AND enjoy that 20% discount, join my team now… you may do that here. We have lots of fun and are a creative bunch that encourages & supports one another.
