Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Snowflakes and In Color 6×6 DSP

Good Friday morning! Wow – the week has flown… and I have a friendly, wintry card for you today. Wintry – because I’m using Wonderful Snowflakes and In Color 6×6 DSP in Starry Sky. I’ve cut a square just slightly larger than the snowflake and adhered that to a Basic White square a bit larger than that and set it aside while preparing the card base.

The card base is Thick Basic White. I took another panel of regular Basic White and splattered it with my Starry Sky Marker by flicking the brush tip end on the lid, flicking it away from me & onto the panel. When it was covered enough, I added a strip of In Color 6×6 DSP in Starry Sky, and adhered that to a Starry Sky panel slightly larger. I put dimensionals on the back and added it to the card base. I added the square with the Wonderful Snowflake to that with dimensionals as well. Adhesive Backed Seasonal Sequins in white were added, then 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots in Starry Sky. I wrapped the 2022-2024 In Color Bakers Twine in Starry Sky, around my three fingers three times and tied a knot then adhered it with a glue dot – and the card front was done.

Because I wanted this to just be available for a note (of thanks, of appreciation, whatever) I kept it really simple: A Basic White panel adhered to a Starry Sky panel and into the inside of the card. This could easily serve as a masculine card – and I like having those ready at hand. I can easily add a sentiment & make it a birthday card too :O)

The last but not least – is the envelope… more of the In Color 6×6 DSP in Starry Sky adhered to the envelope flap & trimmed to fit. Done. Oh I do like how this came together :O) Card cuts for this project will be listed at the end of this post.

This is such a fun sketch that my mind was whirling with ideas. I finally settled with this card.

Stampin' Up! Sweetest C'mas DSP.1

I’ve used the Sweetest Christmas DSP as the focus for this challenge – both as background and center image. These candy canes are so cute! I’ve also used Layering Circles Dies, Harvest Dies for the sentiment banner, 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine in Sweet Sorbet, and for additional embellishment the Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins in Sweet Sorbet. It should be no surprise then, that all the layer backgrounds are Sweet Sorbet :O)

For the inside… Sweet Candy Canes stamp set and Sweet Sorbet ink for the candy cane & Garden Green ink for the sentiment – also from Sweet Candy Canes stamp set ~ stamped on Basic White card stock and layered on Sweet Sorbet, then adhered to the inside of the card.

For the envelope, more of the same Sweetest Christmas DSP adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit – and that was it! So easy, so festive, so perfect for this challenge. Stampin’ Up! Christmas with Awash in Beauty DSP & Wonderful Snowflakes

I’ve taken some unexpected DSP and combined it with Wonderful Snowflakes & Wintry 3D Embossing Folder to make a really pretty Christmas Card. I have also heat embossed the Wonderful Snowflake with silver embossing powder. I’ve also added a fun ‘knot bow’ with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon.

The card base is a piece of Blushing Bride card stock with a slightly smaller layer of Basic White. On top of that is a panel of the Awash In Beauty DSP embossed with the Wintry 3D embossing folder – the snowflake. Remember this embossing folder is a two-set and narrow. Narrow means they could fit in the mini cut & emboss machine. However, I was embossing a panel larger than what would fit in the mini, and ran it through twice. Once embossed I adhered this to the Basic White panel on the card front. Next I worked on the Wonderful Snowflake: rubbed gently with the embossing buddy, tapped the snowflake with the VersaMark ink pad, sprinkled it with silver embossing powder and heat embossed. I did this twice so there was a smooth layer of silver on the snowflake. And when I used the Heat Tool, I heated from the underside of the snowflake. Next I cut a Basic White circle with the largest of the Layering Circle Dies. I took Blending Brush and Blushing Bride ink to add some color. I did the same with Merry Merlot ink. I added the Wonderful Snowflake with a dimensional. I cut a square of Silver Foil, then a slightly larger one of Basic White and adhered them all together, and then directly to the embossed front.

I stamped the sentiment using the Hope & Peace stamp set: first with VersaMark then sprinkling with silver embossing powder and heat setting with the Heat Tool – all on a strip of Awash In Beauty DSP. I adhered this to another strip of Basic White, put dimensionals on it and added it to the card base. The last step was to tie a knot with the Metallic Mesh Ribbon and adhere it with a glue dot. And the card front – was done!

For the inside I took another panel of Basic White and ran just the left edge through with the Wintry 3D Snowflake embossing folder. I then stamped the sentiment in Blushing Bride ink – the sentiment came from Hope & Peace stamp set. This panel was adhered to the inside of the card – and I called it done…

For the envelope I ran a piece of the Awash In Beauty DSP through the same Wintry 3D snowflake embossing folder and adhered it to the flap of the envelope. That was it. I love the sparkle of the silver foil and the heat embossing!

Stampin’ Up! Framed Florets Dies Christmas in White

Good Saturday morning! It is a lovely fall morning here on the East Coast. I looked out the back windows and suddenly (as if overnight) saw all shades of yellow & reds. It’s really here – fall. I love the temperatures this time of year: crisp mornings, clear days, stunning color changes almost while we watch.

I’v e a clean white card for you today, using some new products (again) ~ the Framed Florets stamp set, the Framed Florets Dies and the Framed & Festive stamp set as well. I’ve pulled in Brushed Metallic 12 x 123 sheets and Gold embossing with these new products. Let’s take a peek.

Stampin' Up! Framed Florets Dies & C'mas in White

Isn’t this frame just gorgeous! For one thing, it’s oval, for another it has wonderful shapes. This particular oval die cuts two items: the oval in the center & the ‘frame’ of the outside. In other words, the center oval could be put on dimensionals. Here I adhered it directly to the Basic White panel after embossing in gold. Here were my steps:

  • do all the die cuts:
    • frame & its center oval in Basic White using the Framed Florets Dies
    • leaves die cut from Brushed Metallic 12 x 12 card stock ~ this comes in copper, brass & gold. I chose scraps of copper & gold. The leaves are from the Framed Florets Dies.
  • stamp the sentiment: on the center oval die cut, clean with the embossing buddy, stamp the image with VersaMark ink, then sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool.
  • Adhere large frame, centering, on a 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Basic White
  • Adhere leaves following the oval of the frame
  • Adhere the center oval, slipping it behind the die cut leaves
  • Add Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls for additional accent
  • Adhere this completed panel with dimensionals to the Thick Basic White card base.

For the inside… Another of the ovals in Framed Florets dies was die cut in Basic White and adhered to a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink using the Hope & Peace stamp set. The branched leaves were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Soft Succulent Blends. The leaves come from the Framed Florets stamp set and were die cut with Framed Florets Dies. They were adhered to the frame as was another die cut leaf from Brushed Metallic 12 x 12 card stock. Because the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls are pretty flat, I added those to the inside to add to the gold & white theme. This panel was adhered to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base and the card was complete.

Stampin’ Up! Alphabest Bundle, Hello

Good Monday Morning. It’s start of a new week so fresh ideas, fresh thoughts, fresh everything. Shall we? My card today begins with the Abigail Rose 12 x 12 DSP, colored with Stampin’ Blends, then layered on Early Espresso card stock.

Stampin' UP! Alphabest Bundle, Hello

This particular sheet of Abigail Rose DSP is absolutely stunning – and I chose to color it with Stampin’ Blends: far right is Pale Papaya, center is Cajun Craze, and to the left is Pumpkin Pie – variations on the orange family. You COULD color all the flowers or… you could choose not to color any. This is what i did. The strips are adhered to Early Espresso then wrapped with Open Weave Ribbon in Pale Papaya, then adhered to Pale Papaya card stock. When deciding what to do for a sentiment, I brought out the Best Label Punch that punches the letters perfectly, and the coordinating Alphabest stamp set. The letters are stamped in Early Espresso ink before punching them from the Basic White card stock. Each was adhered with dimensionals over the ribbon. Dimensionals were added to the back of the Pale Papaya panel and adhered to Crumb Cake card base – and the card front was done.

For the inside, I wanted it really simple for a special note: Basic White panel adhered to Pale Papaya, then a 1/2″ strip of a different Abigail Rose 12 x 12 DSP across the bottom. This was added to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base & voila – our card is complete!

For the envelope, more of the original pattern of Abigail Rose DSP for the flap, trimmed to fit, then a 1/2″ strip adhered to the bottom of the envelope front. Now if I choose, I can go back and add a sentiment to the inside when I need a special something or write a lengthy note. I love having cards available.

Good Saturday morning.I’ve created a fun fold birthday card for you today using the new Framed Florets Bundle. The card cuts will be listed as I go along and then again at the bottom of this post so you too, can create this fun fold.

Isn’t this paper (DSP) just beautiful? I guess it’s a bit tricky to see much of it here :0] You’ll have to take my word for it – unless of course you decide you want to get it now… in which case, keep reading and I’ll tell you how you can. For now, a couple more photos to see this card and how it stands to really it off.

The photo to the left shows more of this particular DSP (Fitting Florets 12 x 12 DSP) and the above photo shows how this stands to show off the fun fold.

This is a two part card: the card base and the fun fold adhered together. The card base is Night of Navy 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and has a single strip of Fitting Florets DSP adhered to either side (3/4 x 5 1/4). The fun fold portion is also Night of Navy 8 x 5 1/2 scored on the long side at 1 1/2, 2 3/4, 5 1/4 and 6 1/2. Burnish the folds: mountain, valley, valley, mountain. Add Fitting Florets DSP to each valley fold and the far right mountain fold in this order: 1 x 5 1/4, 1 x 5 1/4 and finally 1 1/4 x 5 1/4. See photo as a guide. The center message panel is Basic White 2 1/4 x 5 1/4.

The front panel is Night of Navy 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 and is adhered to the far left section of the fun fold, but centered when the card is closed – see 1st photo! Adhered to that is Balmy Blue 3 1/4 x 5 1/4. Adhered to that is the Basic White decorated panel. Stamp & decorate prior to adhering it!

To decorate this panel: Stamp the sentiment from Framed Florets stamp set in Night of Navy ink at the upper portion of the Basic White front panel; Stamp the leaf spray , also from Framed Florets stamp set, in Memento Black ink and color with Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the floral bouquet from Framed Florets stamp set on a separate panel of Basic White, color with Stampin’ Blends: Polished Pink (both Light & Dark Blends), Soft Succulent (both Light & Dark), & Petal Pink; die cut with Framed Florets Dies. Add dimensionals to back and adhere to panel front. Create this beautiful bow with Silver-Threaded Twine that has been separated. Adhere bow with a glue dot. Add three Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls. Now add this completed panel to the front and your fun fold is done. :O) Because I was playing with the stamp set and it’s coordinating dies, I stamped the very cute berry spray from Framed Florets stamp set and colored with Polished Pink Blends then added it to the inner Basic White panel with liquid glue.

For the envelope I added more of the same pattern from the Fitting Florets DSP pack to the flap, trimmed to fit. I then then stamped this sweet flower from the Framed Florets stamp set in Memento Black ink on the envelope front & colored it with Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends. Just as a reminder, when using Stampin’ Blends on an envelope, slip a heavy card stock in the envelope so the alcohol ink color does not go through to the other side of the envelope :O)

Such a beautiful Suite of products – this Framed Florets. It includes two stamp sets (one of which is Christmas sentiments) and this one with floral & leaf patterns + various sentiments, coordinating Framed Florets Dies, the Fitting Florets DSP and the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls. Stampin’ Up! Fun Fold with New Framed Florets Bundle

WooHoo – it’s Friday – time for a fun fold AND the weekend :O) I’m using the all new Framed Florets Bundle, Fitting Florets DSP and the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls. The papers in this DSP pack are beautiful – as you can see. They will be available to customers Nov 1 – Dec 31 or while supplies last. They are available to demonstrators now, so if you think you might want to join my team, think it through and give me abuzz – let’s talk. Stampin' Up! Framed Florets Fun Fold

I saw a card by Lynn Dunn and adapted it to use this wonderful new bundle. The Night of Navy card base is a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, adhered with one of the patterns in the Fitting Florets DSP. I then took another piece of Night of Navy, scored in thirds and adhered it in the center so the card would open to the left. You could have it open the other direction, but I didn’t. I adhered another pattern of the Fitting Florets DSP to the front of the fold and decorated that: the wonderful leaf spray is die cut from Evening Evergreen card stock using the Framed Florets Dies. The flower bouquet was stamped in Memento ink on a Basic White piece using the Framed Florets stamp set. I colored it with Stampin’ Blends: Balmy Blue, Light Night of Navy, Soft Succulent and Light Evening Evergreen. This was die cut with the appropriate die from the Framed Florets Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink on another Basic White piece and fussy cut it.To put the front together… Vellum from the Lovely Layers Vellum Pack adhered with just a bit of Stampin’ Seal (where the flower spray will go – so it doesn’t show), then the leaf spray adhered with dabs of liquid glue; the flower spray has dimensionals on back and is adhered over the leaf spray; the sentiment also has dimensionals and is placed beneath the floral spray. I added the three Adhesive-Backed Swirls to complete the front.

Open the card… decorate the center panel with another piece of the Fitting Florets DSP. The sentiment panel simply has a sweet leaf spray stamped in Soft Succulent – and comes from the Framed Florets stamp set. And the card is done!

The envelope has more of the Fitting Florets DSP adhered to the flap and trimmed to fit. The envelope front has the same beautiful leaf spray that is on the card in Soft Succulent ink. And that’s it – simple enough already 😏

Stampin’ Up! Perched In A Tree Support

Good morning, good morning. I’ve an encouragement card for you today. A friend of mine has had some health issues for a bit & just needs a ‘pick-me-up’, so I send cards every now & then to let her know she’s in my prayers and not forgotten in her pain. I’ve used Perched In A Tree stamp set with it’s coordinating Aspen Tree Dies – one of my favs.

I’ve tried coloring this sweet bird similar to a chickadee – not sure that worked so that’s why I’m telling you :O). I used Watercolor Pencils after stamping with Memento ink on a Basic White scrap: Basic Black, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral , Whisper White and then blended with a Blender Pen to smooth the lines. It was then die cut with the appropriate die from the Aspen Trees Dies. My next step was to die cut several of these gorgeous leaves from the Aspen Trees Dies: Brushed Metallic paper & Copper Foil Sheets. I used a circle on my desk die cut for another project to create the sun/ moon. I used a Blending Brush with So Saffron ink then Mango Melody ink around the edges. It isn’t real bright cuz it’s on Gray Granite card stock. I used another Blending Brush to add some Balmy Blue ink all over, making it look like sky. It’s very subtle, but definitely there in person. I stamped the tree branch in Soft Suede ink and the sentiment in Memento ink – both from the Perched in a Tree stamp set. The bird was adhered over the branch with dimensionals, then the leaves added with liquid glue. The center leaf is adhered with liquid glue at the stem and a dimensional on its leaf tip for more depth. This panel was added to a Basic Gray card base.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Balmy Blue ink using Perched In A Tree stamp set, then used a Blending Brush to add a frame of color to the Basic White panel. I included the large die cut leaf from the Aspen Trees Dies with liquid glue. This leaf was die cut from Copper Foil Sheets. The panel was added to the inside of the Basic Gray card base.

For the envelope, stamp the branch again with Soft Suede ink on the front. Add a strip of Basic Gray that has been run through the Timber 3D embossing folder to the flap, trim to fit. This could so easily be a masculine card, and I don’t have many of those. However, as I mentioned earlier, this for a woman friend this time.

Stampin’ Up! Trimming the Tree in Layers

Good Friday morning! What’s on your calendar today? Or for the weekend? After several days of heavy rain, we are in the sunshine again – and fall is in the air. Which means Christmas is not far away. So what do I have for you today? That’s right, a Christmas card. Card class was yesterday and we had a good time. I’ve taken a layout that I’ve seen online and changed the colors, but definitely the layout is pretty much the same.

Stampin' Up! Trimming the Tree w/ layers.1

This DSP comes from Painted Christmas and I chose Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent as my colors of choice. You can see a bit of silver heat embossing for garland. The stamp set is called Trimming the Tree. I’ve also used the Very Best Trio Punch to full advantage (wait til you see the inside :O).

The card base is Basic White Thick card stock. I’ve adhered together three layers: Evening Evergreen, Painted Christmas DSP and a smaller Basic White panel. These were wrapped with Open Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen and attached in back with Stampin’ Seal. These three layers were added to the card front.I then took another Basic White piece and with the Very Best Trio Punch – made the fancy edges. The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink and comes from Trimming the Tree stamp set. The tree is stamped first in Soft Succulent ink, then the detail of the tree was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink. I rubbed the surface with the Embossing Buddy – so glad we have that item again! – used the garland stamp in Trimming the Tree and VersaMark ink to stamp the garland. This was sprinkled with Silver Embossing powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I added five Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels for extra charm. The top is a star die cut from Silver foil with the coordinating dies available during Sale-a-bration. With this panel complete, I adhered it to a larger piece of Evening Evergreen, put dimensionals on the back and attached it over the ribbon. To create the bow, I took a length of the Open Weave Ribbon in Evening Evergreen (about 10″) and cut it down the middle, slipped it under the wrapped ribbon and tied a bow. Love.

For the inside – similar layers… but let’s begin with the sentiment panel. This Basic White piece was stamped in VersaMark and sprinkled with Silver Embossing Powder,(yep – the sentiment is from Trimming the Tree!) then die cut with this very fun die. This was adhered to an Evening Evergreen piece to set it off. I again used the Very Best Trio Punch to create the fun edges on the Basic White panel, adhered that to Evening Evergreen and attached it to the inside of the card. Done… :O) Fun card, right? And, you could use different DSP panels and change the color of the tree: Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, your choice – to create several of these. What do you think?

Good Tuesday! I’ve gone a completely different route today, a non Christmas card. I’ve used this lovely Awash in Beauty DSP as a highlight background that really brings the card to life. The stamped flowers & leaves come from the True Beauty stamp set that has coordinating dies, but I’m not using the dies today. The sentiment is from Blessings of Home stamp set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. For a bit of bling I’ve added the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. The background is a card base from the Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes that were free during Sale-a-bration with a qualified purchase. You could just as easily use Soft Sea Foam card stock for the card base. I was simply wanting to use these :O) This card has lots of layers, but is just that, layers. It’s not difficult.

Stampin' Up! Awash in Beauty DSP & True Beauty.1

I began by stamping the sentiment on the Basic White panel in Mossy Meadow ink. As mentioned, this comes from the Blessings of Home stamp set. I then pulled out Blushing Bride ink and the smallest flower in True Beauty stamp set and stamped in the corners of the panel. Soft Sea Foam ink and the leaf image were stamped randomly around – they also come from the True Beauty stamp set. This panel was added to a Blushing Bride piece, then to Soft Sea Foam. I set this aside for the moment to adhere the Awash in Beauty DSP to a Blushing Bride piece slightly larger. This was added to the Soft Sea Foam card base with dimensionals. I brought back in the stamped section, put dimensionals on it as well and added it to the card. The final touch are the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels scattered on the stamped panel. And there you have it! The inside is totally for writing a note to the recipient. Here’s another photo of the card.
