Do you like to read? I DO… and sometimes have more than one book going at a time. I say this ‘cuz bookmarks are incredibly important to have 🙂 I have a class today – it’s a small group but I like to give them something now & then. It’s inspirational for them and everyone likes a gift. So here they are… all using the, what else, Butterfly Brilliance Bundle. It is available now and will be in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I have also used the Dragonfly Garden stamp set for the flower bouquet and sentiment.

These were such a fun, quick project and inspired by my upline Mary Deatherage as part of our zoom Team Meeting on Sunday. Each bookmark uses the very same components: Butterfly Bijou 6×6 DSP, Brilliant Wings Dies to die cut the butterflies from the DSP, Vellum for the detail die from the same die set and finally Dragonfly Garden stamp set for the beautiful stamped bundle of wild flowers and the sentiment. The final element is the use of the Tag Topper Punch. What’s different is the ribbon, markers for coloring and ink used.

Inks, coloring and ribbons coordinate with each butterfly die cut. The two bookmarks on the left were stamped in ‘stamped off’ Basic Gray ink. Ribbons used were Terracotta Tile from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack and Magenta Madness, a 20-22 In Color Ribbon. I used Calypso Coral markers to lightly color the top flowers and Calypso Coral ink for the sentiment from Dragonfly Garden stamp set for the bookmark on the far left. With the Magenta Madness ribbon, I used the same color markers and ink for the sentiment.

The two bookmarks on the right were stamped with ‘stamped off’ Just Jade ink for the wild flowers. Misty Moonlight Ribbon and ink for the sentiment but the flowers were colored with So Saffron marker and a hint of Crushed Curvy for the flower centers. The far right bookmark uses Just Jade for the ribbon and same color of ink for the sentiment. The flowers were colored the same as the prior flowers.

I used the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack for tying the ribbons together. I love these bookmarks and hope you do as well. They shout HOPE to me; hope for what is to come in new growth and new beginnings.
