The Country Floral embossing folder from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue is gorgeous! I wasn’t going to get it, but all the posts showed these beautiful images and I couldn’t resist.

Today’s card is prepared using Petal Pink card stock (CS). The embossed layer is 4 X 5 1/4… spritz the paper first as this folder makes deep impressions and the spritzing allows the CS some “give” to accept those more easily. After embossing, allow to dry for just a bit. Then with Petal Pink ink and a sponge dauber, rub that color over the raised areas ~ love how gentle this coloring is and how it enhances the embossed design. Glue this piece to Petal Pink 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 CS. Using the whisper white flax ribbon cut at about 6 1/2″ and wrap this around both pieces, adhering in back with glue dots. Then cut a piece of the whisper white polka dot ribbon at about 7″, placing this on top of the flax ribbon, using tape to adhere it on the back. Using the Pretty Label punch, create a label out of whisper white; rub the edges with Petal Pink, add your sentiment (I used one of my favorites from Perennial Birthday); add dimensionals and place on ribbon. Using another short piece of the polka dot ribbon, tie a knot. Viola! Attach all of this to the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Petal Pink CS with dimensionals. Card front is done :o) On the inside adhere a piece of whisper white cut at 3 3/4 x 5 with your favorite sentiment.
For the envelope flap, I embossed another piece of Petal Pink CS cut at 2 1/4 x 6, glued it to the flap and bingo, the card is ready. Fun, easy, and lovely.
