Stampin’ Up! New ONLINE EXCLUSIVE Marbled Elegance Suite

Good day sweet folks… we had card class yesterday using the the Marbled Elegance products from the suite – ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. This is a sweet, sweet set of stamps/ dies – the Heart of Elegance Bundle. Take a peek at the card and notice the deep embossing on the white heart – love! And what I like a lot is that this card could be a masculine card, birthday card, anniversary card, thinking of you card, or a LOVE card :O) It’s versatile. And… this is a fun fold.

Stampin' Up! Marbled Elegance fun fold side view

I wanted you to see the side view to notice how the center is the fold fold portion. So maybe we call this a ‘center fun fold’??? If you have a better name for it, let me know!

I began with a card base of Real Red 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and layered a Basic White panel 4 x 5 1/4. Cut a Basic White 3 1/4 x 8 and score on long side at 4. Attach to card base, centering and even with the Basic White at top & bottom. Cut two strips of DSP 7/8 x 3 3/4 and add to side edges. They will lay up against the center folded panel. (my DSP strips are 3/4″ wide and I didn’t like all the white. Trust me, it looks better with wider strips!) Add the Marbled Elegance DSP 3 x 3 3/4 to the front of this panel. Now cut a heart from Gold Foil and another from Basic White and adhere together. Attach with dimensionals to the fun fold panel. I stopped here but there is more that could be done: add adhesive-backed gold hearts from the suite, add a bow using the gold twine in the suite; or add a sentiment banner across the front. Because I have someone specific in mind for this card, I knew they would prefer something more on the simple side – and it’s gorgeous as is – in my opinion that is.

For the inside.. my students (remember this was a card class) chose to heat emboss with the Gold WOW embossing powder, the sentiment ‘Love you” from the Heart of Elegance stamp set. I took a scrap strip of the DSP and adhered it across the bottom. I will heat emboss a sentiment, just not now.

Stampin’ Up! Frosted Forest Halloween Card

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group! We have a theme challenge today – Halloween – and I have to say up front, I am not a Halloween kinda gal, so this was a bit of a struggle for me. But I have to say, I like my card and I had fun creating it. :O)

Stampin' Up! Frosted Forest Halloween Card

This card started with a Misty Moonlight card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. I layered a Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP to the front cut at 4 x 5 1/4. The blues and purples create a spooky kind of look to me. Next I stamped a gorgeous moon from Under the Moon stamp set in Lemon Lolly ink. It was waaay too large for this card so I punched it with a 1 3/4″ circle punch, then trimmed it down again with the same punch to create this moon image. I set the moon aside while I die cut the trees from Basic Black using dies in the Frosted Forest Dies. They are gorgeous! I die cut three full images, then trimmed them down to get seven trees in all, layering as needed. I added these with liquid adhesive so that every branch wasn’t flat – a bit of dimension please. Once the trees were in place I adhered the moon. Bats are perfect in a Halloween picture, so I stamped the bird in Memento ink and colored it with a Basic Black Marker, die cut it with the Frosted Forest Dies and attached it – close enough for a bat, right?!

For the inside… On a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel I added more of the same image from the Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP – 2 x 4 – and attached a remaining tree with liquid glue. I pulled out the Alphabet Dies and more Basic Black, die cut the letters BOO! and attached them at an angle. Yep – another bird was needed so I did the same as the bird image on front: stamped in Memento ink and colored with Basic Black Marker. Believe it or not, the bird is part of the Frosted Forest stamp set and has a coordinating die!

Stampin' Up! Frosted Forest Halloween card & envelope

For the envelope I used more of the Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP that coordinated with what I used on the card front, to adhere to the flap & trimmed to fit. I stamped three images of the bird on the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Evergreen ‘Strip’ Tree

Good Saturday! What is new in your corner of the world? Now that it is just a bit cooler, hubby and I have been trimming bushes that desperately need it and doing some other yard work … consequently had to purchase some new tools as well. Interesting how tools wear out – just as we do! :O) Anyway – I’ve made a very clean and simple card for you today using the Peaceful Evergreen Dies and the Peaceful Season stamp set. As an FYI, each of these comes as a bundle for 10% savings and can be found in the Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog pages 24-25.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Evergreens card front

This is pretty much an all white card except for the DSP strips for the tree. I love this clean look, but it is a bit on the plain side. Perhaps I should have run it through an Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder. Next time! To make this card..

  • Start with a 3 3/4 x 5 Basic White panel and die cut the largest tree using the Peaceful Evergreen Dies, centering it.
  • Using the die cut tree, lay strips across it to your liking. I used the Take A Bow 6×6 DSP in 1/2″ wide strips. Adhere to the die cut.
  • Place this tree on a 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White panel, using the cut out tree panel as a guide for placement. Adhere.
  • Add dimensionals to the cut out tree panel and place on top, centering.
  • Add to a Thick Basic White card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
  • On a 1/2 x 3 3/4 strip of Basic White, stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink using the Peaceful Seasons stamp set. Adhere with adhesive only on the ends.
  • Add embellishments of choice. Here I used the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries
  • As a final touch I added this Granny Apple Green star at the top, die cut from Festive 12×12 Glimmer Paper.
Stampin' Up! Peaceful Evergreen 'strip' tree card inside

For the inside… I created another ‘strip’ tree in a smaller size laying the strips on a Basic White panel and die cutting with the smallest of the trees in Peaceful Evergreen Dies. I adhered this to the 4 x 5 1/4 basic White panel, then stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Seasons stamp set in real Red ink. I adhered the panel to the inside of the card and done…

For the envelope, I took a 2 1/4 x 6 piece of Take A Bow DSP and adhered it to the flap and that was it.

Stampin’ Up! Wildly Flowering Suite for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for a fabulous hop from. the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop Group! We have a color challenge today and I need thank you cards for some special folks. I created two for this color challenge using the Wildly Flowering Suite of products.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Wildly Flowering Suite. card front

This is the 1st card, using several of the fabulous dies in the Wildflower Designs Dies, the dashing Designs 3D embossing Folder and the stunning Wildly Flowering DSP. Oh, and let’s not forget the embellishments: the Adhesive-Backed Adhesive Dots. Here’s what I did… Crumb Cake card base with a layer of Early Espresso on the front, then a layer of the Wildly Flowering DSP that I embossed with the Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder – adhered to the Early Espresso. Next some die cutting: Basic White for the scalloped outline, Misty Moonlight and finally the DSP for the center. I had the Basic White piece already die cut and saved, but did die cut the Misty Moonlight – this scallop die cuts the scallop piece and from it the center – the Misty Moonlight panel you see in the photo. I used Tear n’ Tape to adhere the blue to the Basic White on the back side and added dimensionals in strategic places to adhere to the card front, centering it- see photo. I then adhered the DSP panel in place & wow, it looks great!

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Design Dies adhering together pieces

I took another piece of Misty Moonlight, rubbed it with my embossing buddy from the Embossing Additions kit (item 159971), stamped the sentiment from Wildflower Designs stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled with with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the heat tool. I adhered this in place with liquid glue on the left side and mini dimensionals on the two right corners.I added five of the Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots – and the card front was complete.

I used the same floral stamp to and Early Espresso ink to decorate the Basic White panel for inside the card and the envelope. More of the same Wildly Flowering DSP covers the envelope flap.

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Designs card front.card 2

This was fun – I die cut several hexagon shapes from the Wildly Flowering DSP, laying them in a row so as to have them ‘match’ as you look at the card. The matching is from left to right, not top to bottom. Here’s a photo of how I die cut these.

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Designs Dies from DSP strip

I should have taken a photo as I put the die cuts together on this card front, but didn’t 😦 Oh well. Adhere the DSP panels across the bottom, then add additional die cuts to fill in; trimming down and filling in the entire front. I stamped the flower in Memento ink and the sentiment in Moody Mauve ink – both stamps are from the Wildflower Designs stamp set. I used the Light Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blend to color the flower tips. I wrapped this gorgeous Natural Tones Linen Thread (in Garden Green) around the card front twice and tied a bow. I added the flower with mini dimensionals. The sentiment panel I punched with the Labeled with Love Punch and adhered it over the thread with dimensionals. Three Adhesive-Back Textured Dots were added near the sentiment panel.

Stampin' Up! card 2 of Wildly Flowering Suite Collection

On the inside of the card and the envelope, I stamped a different flower from Wildflower Designs stamp set in Memento ink and colored each with Stampin’ Blends Light Misty Moonlight and Light Old Olive.

These two card were a total CASE of cards shown in the Annual catalog page 40 – I just changed colors of thread, inks and DSP. I love these two cards and am excited to have them ready for those special notes I need to write. Handmade cards are simply the best! They share a bit of myself with each one made.
