Stampin’ Up! Pansy Patch & Note cards

New, new, new… Pansy Patch. Isn’t that a wonderful name for a stamp bundle? And the coordinating Designer Series Paper is just as wonderful. Here’s the bundle…

Look at the detailo – oh wow… And I love the fonts! So let’s see what I created with this set.

I find it interesting as I look at these that the cards are both in the landscape position. The size is 3 1/2 x 5, just perfect for a little hand written note. For both cards I used the 2020-2022 In Color 6×6 DSP for a foundation. For card #1 I covered most of the front then laid a 1/2″ strip across. These bring in the colors of the pansies and make that Calypso Coral pop. From Basic White I die cut a fancy oval using the Petals Labels Dies (retiring May 3) and added it to the front with dimensionals. The pansies are die cut from one of the Designer papers in the package – and I love that availability. I used my Wink of Stella to give them some glam, attached the two yellow pansies with liquid glue and the Calypso Coral pansy with dimensionals. For the centers I added Matte Black Dots to two of them and a single Gold Glitter Enamel Dot ~ and I called it done. I rather like the big open space of the white oval. For the envelope I actually stamped the pansy! Here’s a close-up of that.

Pansy Patch – #3

There’s tiny bit of color on the lower portion of the envelope I will need to take my eraser to – sorry I didn’t notice that before! But isn’t that pansy sweet? I used Pale Papaya stamped off, then full strength for the edge detail, Calypso Coral for the brighter portion and a bit of Bumblebee for the center. And yes, I covered it too with Wink of Stella. I covered the envelope flap in the same 2020-2022 In Color DSP.

For card #2 you may notice the wonderful kind of pointy scallop under the DSP 🙂 That is from another new set called Basic Borders Dies. I die cut a panel from Basic White card stock for that and adhered it with liquid glue, then laid the 2020-2022 In color 6×6 DSP over that, adhering also with liquid glue. I die cut three pansies – 2 large and one smaller and coated them in Wink of Stella. I adhered the first pansy directly to the card, then another large one with dimensionals and adhered the smaller over that both with liquid glue and a dimensional. For these flower centers I added 2021-2023 In Color Jewels. Here’s a close-up and another picture of the card.

To finish the card front, I used the Double Oval Punch; Bumblerbee card stock for the scallop and Basic White for the sentiment panel. The sentiment comes from Pansy Patch and is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink. These two ere adhered together with liquid glue then attached to the card front with dimensionals. A final touch was to add the bow with a bit of Gorgeous Grape Ribbon, adhered with a glue dot. For the envelope, I covered the flap in some gorgeous Pansy Patch DSP, die cut another large purple pansy and adhered that to the edge of the envelope front. Of course that got Wink of Stella as well.

These stunning cards need to be in a gift box, right? Right! The mini Paper Pumpkin boxes are the perfect size for the Notecards and Envelopes…

Pansy Patch #7

More use of this stunning Pansy Patch DSP adhered to a Soft Succulent (new In Color!) card stock ~ both adhered to the mini Paper Pumpkin with liquid glue. I die cut another of the fancy ovals using the Petals Labels Dies and Basic White card stock. I adhered that with dimensionals to the front of the box. I die cut another two pansies and added Wink of Stella, adhered with liquid glue and a dimensional or two. For the centers, 2021-2023 In Color Jewels and an extra (for the use of 3!) I then made three bows our of the NEW In Color Open Weave Ribbons and attached with glue dots. Finis! Love this set? I will create two more cards to share in tomorrows post.
