Hi Everyone… it’s Friday – TADA! Have you ever done ‘block printing’? Well, that’s what I’m calling this process as inks are on an acrylic block, spritzed with water and stamped on card stock. So easy and each time is different, which is kinda nice, no two alike. This past weekend, our team had a ‘virtual’ meeting and three folks demonstrated different cards. This is one of them… I’ve done a couple of add-ons, but the idea is the same.

Supplies are pretty simple, just several inks were used…
- Inks: Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, Pretty Peacock
- Forever Fern stamp set
- Thick Whisper White (card base), regular Whisper White (front panel)
- Shaded Spruce cs
- Rhinestone Basic Jewels
- H acrylic block (for block printing)
- Forever Greenery DSP
The how to…
Begin at one end of an elongated block (H Block was used here) and tap the lightest color onto the block covering about 1″. Go on to the next darker color, overlapping just a bit, until you have all inks on the block. The above ink list shows the gradation on this card from light to dark. Spritz lightly so the entire block has droplets of water – and stamp directly onto the Whisper White panel (4 x 5 1/4). Remember, the ink will not cover the paper entirely – and that’s OK, the way it’s supposed to be!
Ink one of the leaf stamps from Forever Fern stamp set with Pretty Peacock and stamp the two leaves, inking in between. Ink the ‘dots’ stamp in Forever Fern, again with Pretty Peacock and stamp around leaves. Finally ink the sentiment in Pretty Peacock (also from Forever Fern)
This was not done as part of the tutorial last weekend but I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels and adhered to a Shaded Spruce panel (4 1/8 x 5 3/8) with liquid glue. Put dimesnionals on the back and attach to the Thick Whisper White card base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored @ 4 1/4).
For the inside, take another leaf stamp from Forever Fern and ink in Pear Pizzazz. Stamp off on scrap then on the inside of the card. Voila – your card is complete!

Don’t forget your envelope… using that same leaf for the inside of the card, re-ink, stamp off, then stamp the envelope front. Cover the flap with a strip of Shaded Spruce and Forever Greenery DSP. Mission accomplished! Your card is ready for someone special. This card is going to a friend of mine who is struggling with a resurgence of cancer – ugh! I want her to know she is strong and can beat this thing – she has come so far…
