Stampin’ Up! Happy Inkin’ Thursday Theme Challenge

Welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday blog hop! Our theme challenge is winter/ snow, and I decided to combine the two, right? They DO go together. :O)

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Theme Challenge

Stampin' Up! Forever Forest. card front

This is almost an all white card – which I really like. Behind the tree cutouts is a panel of Magical Meadow DSP with shades of Smoky Slate. Here’s what I did… I die cut the trees first, using the Forever Forest Dies and Basic White card stock cut 3 3/4 x 5. After removing the die cut trees, I ran the panel through the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder. I added the slightly larger piece of Magical Meadow DSP to the back of the panel, then attached the die cut trees with dimensionals cut to fit the trunk of each tree. These two panels were attached to a Smoky Slate card stock 3 5/8 x 5 1/8 with dimensionals and that was added to the Smoky Slate card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

Stampin' Up! Forever Forest, inside

On a panel of Basic White I stamped the row of trees in Smoky Slate ink using the Forever Forest Stamp set. With Basic White card stock I die cut the ‘mounds’ of snow from the Forever Forest Dies and adhered it with liquid glue in front of the stamped trees. I also stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate ink but this time using the Magical Meadow stamp set. I adhered this panel directly to the inside of the card – and voila!

Stampin' Up! Forever Forest card & envelope

For the Basic White envelope… I stamped the image in Smoky Slate ink using the Magical Meadow stamp set on the envelope front. For the flap I ran that through the same Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder.

This is a sharp-looking card, monochromatic and could easily be masculine and change the sentiment and make it a sympathy or birthday card. Love the versatility of this card – just changing the sentiment! Hope you like…

Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavender Suie, front

The Designer Series Paper in the Perennial Lavender Suite of products is just gorgeous. I chose to use them on the sketch challenge for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday blog hop. The Perennial Postage stamp set & coordinating dies were used to stamp the sentiment and to die cut the Lost Lagoon card stock pieces to hold the DSP and for the sentiment banner too. The flowers were die cut with the Painted Lavender Dies from the Perennial Lavender DSP. The embellishments on the flowers are Blooming Pearls in Pretty Peacock and Gold. The two embellishments beside the sentiment are Purple Fine Shimmer Gems from the Perennial Suite.

On the Basic White card stock, I stamped the border in Lost Lagoon ink using the Painted Lavender stamp set. The sentiment is also stamped in Lost Lagoon ink using the Perennial Postage stamp set. The butterflies are stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and they come from the Painted Lavender stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavender Suite, card & envelope

Here you can see the butterflies again on the envelope front: Gorgeous Grape ink and the Perennial Lavender stamp set. On the flap is more of the Perennial Lavender DSP.

Here’s another card showcasing the another product from the suite: Paper Butterfly Accents and more of the Perennial Lavender DSP.

Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavener Suite, card 2 inside
Stampin' Up! Perennial Lavender Suite card 2 w/ envelope

In these photos you can see different panels of the Perennial Lavender DSP. The Perennial Postage Dies die cut the larger piece of the DSP and I used the ‘frame’ on the inside of the card, adhered to the Basic White panel. I used Highland Heather ink to stamp the sentiment on the inside – using the Painted Lavender stamp set. On the envelope, more of the Perennial Lavender DSP and the stamped butterflies from Painted Lavender stamp set in Highland Heather ink. The embellishments are Purple Fine Shimmer Gems from the suite of products.

Time to see what others on the hop have created… be sure to visit everyone’s blog. Click the ‘next’ button to take you to the wonderful Carol or click on a name to visit another. Either way – enjoy the hop!

Stampin’ Up! Wishes All Around on White

Hello folks! It’s getting closer… Christmas that is… and already I’m getting anxious. I keep making Christmas Cards but wondering if I’m making any headway… Oh well. I’m enjoying the process and that’s part of it. Today’s card is a lot of white, which I don’t usually do. The basic colors are Garden Green, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler. The stamp & die bundle is wonderful: trees in a wreath form, snowflakes in a wreath form, and ‘green’ in a wreath form. My original idea was to showcase all three on cards with the very same layout. Unfortunately I got sidetracked to the outside chores and only the trees in a wreath form are showing today.

Stampin' Up! Wishes All Around on White

This card is welcoming, friendly and bright – and oh yes, layered! The DSP in the background is A Walk in the Forest 12×12 DSP. The colors on this particular panel are Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler and are layered on a piece of Basic White just slightly larger. The next two layers are squares: 3 5/8 x 3 5/8 and 3 38 x 3 3/8 with the smaller one on dimensionals. The wreath is a double wreath: first stamped in Old Olive which you can barely see, and the top one in Garden Green ink. Each was die cut with Wishes All Around dies. I stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink on the inner portion of the Old Olive trees die cut and adhered the wreath & inner portion with liquid glue to the square. The Garden Green tree wreath is attached with mini dimensionals on every other tree. I added three Festive Pearls in red to the sentiment. The bow is from the Real Red and Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack and is attached with a glue dot.

Stampin' Up! Wishes All Around card inside

For the inside I added a strip of the A Walk in the Forest DSP on the Basic White insert. I then stamped the trees in Garden Green ink from the Wishes All Around stamp set, then also stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink. This is from the same stamp set – Wishes All Around.

Stampin' Up! Wishes All Around card & envelope

The basic White envelope got some special treatment: more of the stripe paper from A Walk in the Forest 12×12 DSP on the flap and staggered trees stamped all along the bottom of the envelope in Garden Green ink using the Wishes All Around stamp set. I love how friendly this card looks!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Challenge for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning! We have a Christmas Challenge for the blog hop today – I think you’ll like what you see!

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Thursday hop Challenge
Stampin' Up! Joy of Noel Bundle

Does this card say Christmas to you? I hope so! :O) It begins with a card base of Shaded Spruce card stock with a layer of Joy of Christmas DSP adhered directly to it. That was stamped with this glorious spray in VersaMark ink, two times, then sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. (tip… I usually emboss from the back side of the paper and make sure the heat tool is fully warm before heating the powder.) Next I used the Joy of Noel Dies to die cut the pine boughs from Joyful Specialty DSP and die cut two of these. I stamped in Shaded Spruce ink, the berry spray using the Joy of Noel stamp set and Basic White scrap – and stamped two of those. These were die cut with the Joy of Noel Dies. I colored the berries with Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. I also pulled out two Textured Elements (see those wooden berries?) to add. I placed those items: die cut pine boughs, die cut berry spray and the Textured Elements, using liquid glue to adhere in place. I cut a length of the Burlap Ribbon, folded it over itself holding it in place with Stampin’ Seal. This ribbon comes from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack. The red banner panel is die cut from Joy of Christmas DSP using the Christmas Classics banner die. and was added over the ribbon with dimensionals. I die cut the NOEL from the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper (LOVE!), backed it with the same letters die cut from Basic White card stock, and adhered this to the banner with liquid glue. I used glitter left over from last months Paper Pumpkin to color in a couple of the embossed berries. I’m not sure they show up very well in the photo.

Stampin' Up! Joy of Noel card, inside

For the inside of the card I stamped the pine boughs in Shaded Spruce ink using the Joy of Noel stamp set. I really like this stamp! I stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink and Shaded Spruce ink using the Christmas Classics stamp set. This Basic White panel was adhered directly to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Joy of Noel bundle card & envelope

More of the Joy of Christmas DSP was adhered to the envelope flap & trimmed to fit. Again, using the pine bough stamp and the Joy of Noel stamp set and Shaded Spruce ink, I stamped the lower corner of the Basic White envelope. And done.

Please be sure to visit those participating in this weeks blog hop. Next up is Carol and you can click the ‘next’ button to see what she has created. Otherwise, click on a name to take you elsewhere. Enjoy the hop!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Classics for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome, welcome to our hop! You are going to see some very creative projects to day from our talented team. We have a sketch challenge today.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog hop
Stampin' Up! Hop sketch challenge
Stampin' Up! Christmas Classic C'mas card

Notice the sketch? I pulled out the Christmas Classics bundle and found an already die cut image from the Holographic Trio pack of papers – and that inspired me to move forward. The Holographic die cut is Starry Sky. To coordinate with this, I pulled out my Stampin’ Up! Color Coach and it mentioned Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green – I liked it! I stamped the NOEL using the Joy Of Noel stamp set and Blueberry Bushel ink on a Basic White card piece. I added Adhesive Strips to the back of the central die cut in Holographic paper, just along the inside edge, and adhered the stamped Basic White panel to it. I set this aside while I worked on the card base: Blueberry Bushel with a layer slight smaller run through the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. With these two layered together, I adhered the Holographic piece, centering it on the card front. I die cut a pine bough using the Christmas Classics Dies in Granny Apple Green and it was too plain. I began looking around my stash and found the Delightfully Floral 12×12 DSP had a piece that was Parakeet Party and had a very light pattern in the design. I die cut another pine bough from it and adhered it to the Granny Apple Green die cut for strengh, then added it to the Holographic die cut with glue dots. I felt the card needed more texture so pulled out the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack, tied a bow with the Parakeet Party ribbon and added it with a glue dot to the bottom of the pine bough. For me, that was perfect!

Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics Bundle, Thur Hop 10/26, inside of card

For the inside of the card… a pine bough stamp from the Christmas Classics stamp set, this time in Granny Apple Green ink; then a sentiment stamp in the same set, stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink. This Basic White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Classics Bundle, Thur Hop card & envelope

For the envelope, remember that Parakeet Party pattern from Delightfully Floral 12×12 DSP? That’s on the flap & trimmed to fit. The pine bough was again stamped on the envelope front in Granny Apple Green. Love this pine bough!!! And the card was complete.

Now – time to travel around to visit all the hoopers for this weeks sketch challenge. Enjoy! Click on the ‘next’ button or a name to take you visiting the others. Have fun!

Stampin’ Up! Shining Christmas SDSP for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning! It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a fun sketch challenge today and I hope you will make the rounds of those participating and enjoy their creativity.

Stampin' Upo! Happy Inkin' Thurs, Hop Sketch
Stampi9n' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Shining C'mas SDSP + Joy Of Noel

This is such a bright, cheery card, full of color and texture. The card base is Thick Basic White with a layer of Basic White run through the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. This is such a great embossing folder and is perfect for those wintry scenes. It can be found in the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. The banners to the left are strips from the Shining Christmas Specialty DSP and can be found in ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. The stamped panel is from the Joy of Noel stamp set, stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on a Basic White piece, then colored with Stampin’
Blends: Dark Cherry Cobbler, Dark Lemon Lime Twist, Light Old Olive and Light Mossy Meadow
. This was die cut with the coordinating Joy of Noel Dies. This was added to the card front with dimensionals. A Real Red bow was attached with a glue dot. The ribbon comes from Real Red & Garden Green Combo Pack. I stamped this sentiment from the Joy of Noel stamp set on a Basic White scrap in Cherry Cobbler ink, trimmed it with my paper snips and attached it with dimensionals. As a final touch on the front, I used Shining Crystal Effects on each berry. It gives it extra shine and sparkle. This needs to ‘set’ for a bit until it is no longer tacky or soft – a couple of hours.

Stampin' Up! Joy of Noel Thurs. blog hop 10/12

For the inside… a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock was adhered to the card base. I stamped the berry image three times in Mossy Meadow ink from Joy of Noel stamp set on a Basic White panel. I colored the berries with Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends, then adhered the panel to the inside.

Stampin' Up! Joy of Noel Thur Blog Hop, envelope

For the envelope, I did the same stamping in Mossy Meadow ink using the berry stamp from Joy of Noel stamp set and colored the berries with Stampin’ Blends in Cherry Cobbler. I also added the same Mossy Meadow package image on the card front in Shining Christmas SDSP to the envelope flap & trimmed it to fit. Done! Bright & cheery, this will be a fun card to send to someone special.

OK, on with the hop… click on a name or the ‘next’ image below. Enjoy all the wonderful creativity!

Stampin’ Up! Them Bones for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hello Thursday and welcome to another fabulous Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We have some super fun creations for you today with the theme of Halloween/ Pumpkins.

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop
Stampin' Up! Blog Hop Theme Challenge
Stampin' Up! Them Bones DSP for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop 10/5

Them Bones Designer Series Paper is just FULL of fun patterns. I took two of them and cut them apart to create my card today and used another to cover the card front. The card base is Basic Black A2 size. I covered the card front in the black bats, although it’s hard to tell. On that I layered a panel of Smoky Slate that had been run through the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I cut the tombstone with the cat and grass using my paper snips. I laid it on the embossed panel to see where I wanted the moon, then removed the tombstone and with a 2″ cut out circle, I used a Blending Brush and Whisper White ink to blend in a moon, then adhered the tombstone in place. Using those same paper snips I cut a skeleton and another tombstone. I adhered the lower half of the skeleton with glue and the upper portion with dimensionals, for depth. I adhered the remaining tombstone in place with dimensionals. With a scrap of the DSP that was blackish, I stamped the BOO! using VersaMark ink and the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. In trimmed it down and adhered it with dimensionals as well.

Stampin' Up! Them Bones DSP & Cottage Wreaths stamp set

For the inside, I took another piece of the black bat paper from the Them Bones DSP and adhered it inside the card. I stamped the twig wreath from Cottage Wreaths stamp set in Crumb Cake ink, then the spider in Memento ink, then used the Basic Black Marker to indicate the spider sliding down creating a ‘string’. And the card was complete! My grandkids are going to love this!

For the Basic White envelope, I used the same black bat paper for the flap and for the bottom of the front – makes it look spooky!

Fold with Tartan Foil and Forever Forest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop Group
Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Sketch. 9/14 hop
Stampin' Up! Z-fold w/ Forever Forest & Tartan Foil

Love this new Tartan Foil Specialty DSP that’s available in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. This is while supplies last – and let me tell you, this will NOT last long! My opinion of course… The card base is Pebbled Path card stock 8 12 x 5 12, scored at 2 1/8 & 4 1/4 to make the Z fold. I added a layer of Lost Lagoon to the front, 2 x 5 3/8, then the Tartan Foil in Peb bled Path and adhered this only on the left side over the Lost Lagoon. I then added my layers: Lost Lagoon 2 1/4 x 3 3/4, the trees die cut with the Forever Forest Dies from Shimmery paper, and the circle was die cut from Winter Meadow DSP using the Deckled Circles Dies. The larger tree is behind the circle and adhered directly with liquid glue; the circle is on dimensionals and the smaller tree is aderedc to that. For embellishment I added three Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins in white – and the front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Z-fold w/ Forever Forest & Tartan Plaid, inside

For the inside, a layer of Lost Lagoon 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, then a Basic White panel 4 x 5 1/4 stamped in Lost Lagoon ink second generation, using the Forever Forest stamp set. I love when this is turned back like this you can see the reverse side of the Tartan Plaid. Pretty, isn’t it? There’s no greeting used on this card so it could easily be a masculine card for hello friend, thinking of you or a holiday greeting! Love the flexibility!

Stampin' Up! Z-fold top view

And here’s a top view of the Z-fold so you can see what it really looks like. :O)

Stampin' Up! Z-fold w/ Forever Forest & Tartan Plaid card & envelope

For the envelope, the reverse side of this Tartan Plaid pattern was adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front, another second generation stamping of the trees from Forever Forest stamp set. And BTW, this stamp actually has more trees than is shown here or on the inside of the card, but they aren’t seen here :O)

OK, now you have seen my card, it’s time to see what the rest of the Krew are creating. Click the next button to take you to the fabulous Carol Buckalew or click on a name to go where you desire. Have fun hopping!

Stampin’ Up! Halloween Theme for AIK Blog Hop Group

Our theme for today’s blog hop is halloween – what would you do? I’m not much of a halloween person. Growing up, this was a favorite holiday for my folks, dressing up and dressing us kids and visiting neighbors & friends. They even had a Halloween group that gathered for costume competition and evening of fun. I just have to say – not my thing for some reason.

Stampin' Up! AIK Team Blog hop
Stampin' Up! Cottage Wreaths Halloween. Tue hop 9/12

This was actually very fun to create, despite my angst about halloween :O) Them Bones DSP found in the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog was my ‘go to’ and it served as the ‘purfect’ background. I cut the panel to fit the Basic Black card base front and adherred it in place. Next I fussy cut these two images from another piece of Them Bones DSP: the skeleton-like dog and skeleton-like cat, put dimensionals on the back of each and added them as you see them here. And let’s just say, I needed to trim the dimensionals so they would fit on the legs and tails of each animal – and it worked! I needed a sentiment and looking through my stash found this ‘BOO’ from Cottage Wreaths stamp set (one of my favorites!) I stamped it in VersaMark ink then sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool – all on a Basic Black strip. I trimmed it with my Paper Snips and put dimesnionals on the back. I then cut a length of this wonderful Gingham Ribbon in Black & White, put glue dots on it’s back and put both in place. I pulled out my embellishments and found these 2023-2025 In Color Dots – in Copper Clay and added them to the card front. And finis!

Stampin' Up! Cottage Wreaths Halloween, card inside

The spider is another of the stamps in this Cottage Wreaths stamp set and so totally right for a halloween card. It was stamped in Memento Black ink on the Basic White panel, then this was added to a Pumpkin Pie piece slightly larger, then into the card base. And it fits the bill for a halloween card that I love. Hope you do too!

Stampin’ Up! All About Autumn Monochromatic Card

Good Tuesday morning… it’s gong to be a HOT one again today – about 94! Remember last week how excited I was that temps early in the morning were 54? Well, not this week!!! Ok, enough of that – I have a pretrty card for you today… using the fabulous All about Autumn DSP and the Autumn Leaves bundle – orderable TOMORROW from the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. :O)

Stampin' Up! All About Autumn

Isn’t this a stunning Designer Series Paper? And the great thing is, the Autumn Leaves stamp set & dies coordinate so perfectly. The card base is Moody Mauve with another layer of the same card stock that was run through a Basics 3D embossing folder (an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE).; a layer of Very Vanilla and the All About Autumn DSP cut into panels; a sentiment from Autumn Leaves stamp set stamped in Moody Mauve ink on Very Vanilla and die cut with a die from Autumn Leaves Dies. I added a length of the Textured Ribbon in Moody Mauve directly to the card front with Stampin’ Seal before adding the die cut sentiment with dimensionals. The final touch was the addition of three small Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots, also in Moody Mauve to the die cut sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves bundle

For the inside, this wonderful sentiment from Autumn Leaves stamp set stamped in Moody Mauve ink on the Very Vanilla panel. I also added a leaf using the Autumn Leaves Dies and Rose Gold Specialty Paper.

Stampin' Up! All About Autumn card & envelope

For the envelope, I turned over the remainder of the original piece of the All About Autumn DSP used for the card front and adhered it to the flap, trimming it to fit. There was a narrow strip left and I adhered that to the bottom of the envelope front.
