Fold with Tartan Foil and Forever Forest for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Z-fold w/ Forever Forest & Tartan Foil

Love this new Tartan Foil Specialty DSP that’s available in the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES. This is while supplies last – and let me tell you, this will NOT last long! My opinion of course… The card base is Pebbled Path card stock 8 12 x 5 12, scored at 2 1/8 & 4 1/4 to make the Z fold. I added a layer of Lost Lagoon to the front, 2 x 5 3/8, then the Tartan Foil in Peb bled Path and adhered this only on the left side over the Lost Lagoon. I then added my layers: Lost Lagoon 2 1/4 x 3 3/4, the trees die cut with the Forever Forest Dies from Shimmery paper, and the circle was die cut from Winter Meadow DSP using the Deckled Circles Dies. The larger tree is behind the circle and adhered directly with liquid glue; the circle is on dimensionals and the smaller tree is aderedc to that. For embellishment I added three Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins in white – and the front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Z-fold w/ Forever Forest & Tartan Plaid, inside

For the inside, a layer of Lost Lagoon 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, then a Basic White panel 4 x 5 1/4 stamped in Lost Lagoon ink second generation, using the Forever Forest stamp set. I love when this is turned back like this you can see the reverse side of the Tartan Plaid. Pretty, isn’t it? There’s no greeting used on this card so it could easily be a masculine card for hello friend, thinking of you or a holiday greeting! Love the flexibility!

Stampin' Up! Z-fold top view

And here’s a top view of the Z-fold so you can see what it really looks like. :O)

Stampin' Up! Z-fold w/ Forever Forest & Tartan Plaid card & envelope

For the envelope, the reverse side of this Tartan Plaid pattern was adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. On the front, another second generation stamping of the trees from Forever Forest stamp set. And BTW, this stamp actually has more trees than is shown here or on the inside of the card, but they aren’t seen here :O)

OK, now you have seen my card, it’s time to see what the rest of the Krew are creating. Click the next button to take you to the fabulous Carol Buckalew or click on a name to go where you desire. Have fun hopping!

Stampin’ Up! Halloween Theme for AIK Blog Hop Group

Our theme for today’s blog hop is halloween – what would you do? I’m not much of a halloween person. Growing up, this was a favorite holiday for my folks, dressing up and dressing us kids and visiting neighbors & friends. They even had a Halloween group that gathered for costume competition and evening of fun. I just have to say – not my thing for some reason.

Stampin' Up! AIK Team Blog hop
Stampin' Up! Cottage Wreaths Halloween. Tue hop 9/12

This was actually very fun to create, despite my angst about halloween :O) Them Bones DSP found in the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog was my ‘go to’ and it served as the ‘purfect’ background. I cut the panel to fit the Basic Black card base front and adherred it in place. Next I fussy cut these two images from another piece of Them Bones DSP: the skeleton-like dog and skeleton-like cat, put dimensionals on the back of each and added them as you see them here. And let’s just say, I needed to trim the dimensionals so they would fit on the legs and tails of each animal – and it worked! I needed a sentiment and looking through my stash found this ‘BOO’ from Cottage Wreaths stamp set (one of my favorites!) I stamped it in VersaMark ink then sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool – all on a Basic Black strip. I trimmed it with my Paper Snips and put dimesnionals on the back. I then cut a length of this wonderful Gingham Ribbon in Black & White, put glue dots on it’s back and put both in place. I pulled out my embellishments and found these 2023-2025 In Color Dots – in Copper Clay and added them to the card front. And finis!

Stampin' Up! Cottage Wreaths Halloween, card inside

The spider is another of the stamps in this Cottage Wreaths stamp set and so totally right for a halloween card. It was stamped in Memento Black ink on the Basic White panel, then this was added to a Pumpkin Pie piece slightly larger, then into the card base. And it fits the bill for a halloween card that I love. Hope you do too!

Stampin’ Up! All About Autumn Monochromatic Card

Good Tuesday morning… it’s gong to be a HOT one again today – about 94! Remember last week how excited I was that temps early in the morning were 54? Well, not this week!!! Ok, enough of that – I have a pretrty card for you today… using the fabulous All about Autumn DSP and the Autumn Leaves bundle – orderable TOMORROW from the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. :O)

Stampin' Up! All About Autumn

Isn’t this a stunning Designer Series Paper? And the great thing is, the Autumn Leaves stamp set & dies coordinate so perfectly. The card base is Moody Mauve with another layer of the same card stock that was run through a Basics 3D embossing folder (an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE).; a layer of Very Vanilla and the All About Autumn DSP cut into panels; a sentiment from Autumn Leaves stamp set stamped in Moody Mauve ink on Very Vanilla and die cut with a die from Autumn Leaves Dies. I added a length of the Textured Ribbon in Moody Mauve directly to the card front with Stampin’ Seal before adding the die cut sentiment with dimensionals. The final touch was the addition of three small Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots, also in Moody Mauve to the die cut sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves bundle

For the inside, this wonderful sentiment from Autumn Leaves stamp set stamped in Moody Mauve ink on the Very Vanilla panel. I also added a leaf using the Autumn Leaves Dies and Rose Gold Specialty Paper.

Stampin' Up! All About Autumn card & envelope

For the envelope, I turned over the remainder of the original piece of the All About Autumn DSP used for the card front and adhered it to the flap, trimming it to fit. There was a narrow strip left and I adhered that to the bottom of the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop All About Autumn Fun Fold

My card today is all about Autumn… and it’s an easy fun fold :O) More explicitly it highlights the All About Autumn 6×6 SDSP AND the Oxidized Copper SDSP. These are brand new products from the Mini 2023 Sep-Dec Catalog. They will be available to customers September 6 – so get excited, prepare your lists of what to order. This is gorgeous paper and the coordinating bundle, Autumn Leaves Bundle, is just as awesome.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves Fun Fold front

If you are a customer of mine, you just may have your catalog already. And if you do, you may find the items used on this card on pages 42-44. Note that Amy Koenders played a part in creating the Autumn Leaves bundle as a reward for her Million Dollar Sales! Thank you Amy, for all you do!

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves Fun Fold, partially open

The card base is Copper Clay, and once scored, another scored panel was adhered to the right that creates the fun fold. Then the layers for the front (Very Vanilla and All About Autumn 6×6 SDSP) were cut & adhered in place. Please notice (how could you not!) how different these two front panels are & how they coordinate… both from the All About Autumn 6×6 SDSP pack. I just HAD to use the additional SDSP in this suite of products… Oxidized Copper 12×12 SDSP, to die cut the leaf image for the right front panel (All About Leaves Dies) – and adhered it in place with liquid glue. I then stamped the sentiment from Autumn Leaves stamp set in Copper Clay ink on a Very Vanilla panel and die cut it with a banner die using the coordinating Autumn Leaves Dies. This was adhered in place with dimensionals. The final step for the front was the addition of the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots in Copper Clay.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves Fun fold, open

For the inside, I die cut two more panels of All About Autumn 6×6 SDSP and adhered them to the appropriate panels. Then I decorated them with die cuts using the Autumn Leaves Dies: one from All About Autumn 6×6 SDSP and two from the Oxidized Copper 12×12 SDSP. Each was adhered in place with liquid adhesive. (I intentionally did not add additional layers to the inside in order to keep the card from being too heavy.) For the sentiment area of the inside, I first stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink using the Autumn Leaves stamp set. I LOVE the mix of fonts! Then I took this very different die from the Autumn Leaves Dies that die cuts dotted lines, ran the Very Vanilla panel through twice, then adhered it in place (over the 1″ scored section of the added right panel). This is such a versatile card – could be for many occasions and could be a masculine card as well. :O) See at the bottom of this post all the card cuts to make this fun fold.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves Fun Fold card & envelope

The envelope is also Very Vanilla and another piece of All About Autumn 6×6 SDSP was adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit. For the envelope front, I first stamped the leaf veins in Early Espresso ink using a stamp from the Autumn Leaves stamp set. I then took the double leaf stamp that coordinates with the leaf veins and with a sponge dauber, dabbed on color: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Garden Green, then stamped over the leaf veins. I was very pleased with the result. And the card & envelope are ready to send… I just don’t have anyone in mind just yet.

This is a fun fold hop, and I think you are going to see some fantastic cards. Click the next button to take you to Carol, or click on a name to see someone else’s card. Whatever you do – see them all! Enjoy!

Stampin’ Up! Dutch Door Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our very fun and talented hop! We have a color challenge today.

The Inked Botanicals 6×6 DSP is one of my favorite packs of papers. I guess it’s the clear colors.. And I like the designs too. :O) My card base is Calypso Coral 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2. After scoring, I placed the piece in my paper trimmer with the short side up and cut @ 2 1/8″ to the score line. Then turning the paper longwise, I cut along the upper score line and removed the front top half. I cut two coordinating pieces of the DSP (2 x 5 3/8), adding them to the card base: one on the lower front and one on the upper inside. I stamped the leaf image from Inked and Tiled stamp set that coordinates with this Designer Series Paper, in Lost Lagoon ink on a Very Vanilla piece. Using the largest square of the Stylish Shapes Dies, I cut the piece. I cut a slightly larger square with my paper trimmer from Calypso Coral and adhered the two together. I attached this square to the lower card front panel, centering it and using dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment, also from the Inked & Tiled stamp set, on a scrap of Very Vanilla in Calypso Coral ink and die cut it with another of the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it with liquid glue. I adhered three gems from Glossy Dots Assortment in Pool Party.

Stampin' Up! Dutch Fun Fold inside
Stampin' Up! Dutch Fun Fold, standing

For the inside of the card, I cut a panel of Very Vanilla 2 x 5 3/8 and stamped it with the pretty single flower from Inked & Tiled stamp set in Crushed Curry ink. I adhered this to the lower inside of the card. This simple flower leaves plenty of room for me to write my message.

For the envelope, more of the Inked Botanicals DSP was adhered to the flap & trimmed to fit.

Stampin' Up! Dutch Door Fun Fold card & envelope

As I mentioned, I love this Designer Series Paper and it worked perfectly for our color challenge today. Now, time to see what others on the team have created. Click the ‘next’ button or click on a name to continue the hop.

Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

We have a sketch challenge for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.

Stampin' Up! Hop Sketch Challenge
Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog hop
Stampin' Up! Happy Inkin' Thursday Hop, Sending Smiles

I began with a Very Vanilla panel run through the Basics 3D Embossing Folder (Cross Hatch) from the ONLINE EXCLUSIVES and added it directly to a Very Vanilla card base. I cut a piece of the Earthen Elegance DSP and added it to a Copper Clay panel, put dimensionals on the back and attached as shown. Using the Sending Smiles Dies, I die cut the sentiment in two parts: Very Vanilla for the background and Copper Clay for the word itself and added these together with liquid glue. I added a strip of the Satin-Edged Ribbon in gold to the DSP then added the sentiment over the top of it with dimensionals. For added glam I attached the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins in gold and the card front was complete.

Stampin' Up! Sending Smiles bundle

For the inside of the card, I stamped the flower head in Lemon Lolly ink, the leaves in Granny Apple Green and the floral center in Copper Clay – all part of the Sending Smiles stamp set.. The sentiment is also from Sending Smiles stamp set and is stamped in Copper Clay ink as well. This was all done on a Very Vanilla panel, added to a Copper Clay piece just slightly larger, then into the inside of the card. DONE!

Stampin’ Up! Stargazing DSP on a Bay Window Fun Fold

Good Wednesday! I have a Christmas card for you today – my FIRST one. I haven’t made a Bay Window fun fold before and wanted to try it. You know what, it’s pretty durn easy!

Stampin' Up! Stargazing DSP on a Bay Window fun fold

Other products used were the Brightest Glow stamp set for the sentiments (inside & out) and it’s coordinating dies Labels Aglow Dies; Soft Shimmer paper in Night of Navy, Simply Elegant Trim in silver for the bow; and finally Little Dreamers Dies for the stars.

OK… let’s make this:

  • Night of Navy for the card base 4 1/4 x 11, scored @ 1/4, 1 1/2, 3 1/4, 4 1/2 & 5 1/2. Burnish all score lines.
  • Adhere together between the 4 1/2 & 5 1/2 score lines
  • Cut end panels: Basic White 7/8 x 4 1/8 (2); Soft Shimmer in Night of Navy 3/4 x 4 (2). Add pieces together; adhere one of the panels to the left side only (this is section 1)
  • Cut additional Basic White panels: 1 1/8 (sections 2 & 4), cut 2); 1 5/8 x 4 1/8 (center panel); 3 3/8 x 4 (inside panel). Add Basic White panels to sections 2, 3 (center) & 4
  • Cut DSP 3 1/2 x 4 – noting pattern/ design/ scene! This pattern is really important. :O)
    • Cut this piece @ 1″, 1 1/2″ and at 1″again.
    • This allows the design to flow, to have a pattern, a scene
    • Adhere to Basic White panels, following the design of the DSP
  • Adhere Mini dimensionals to the 1/4″ scored end, on the inside or backside.
  • Add dimensionals to the remaining Basic White & Soft Shimmer piece (end panel) ONLY ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
    • Attach to far right end of card base
    • This allows the card front to ‘slip under’ the left side of this strip to ‘show’ the Bay Window Fun fold!
Stampin' Up! Bay Window card from the top
  • Using the Brightest Glow stamp set and Blueberry Bushel ink, stamp the sentiment on a Basic White piece. Die cut with the Labels Aglow Dies. Attach dimensionals so it will attach ONLY TO THE CENTER FRONT PANEL!
  • Add embellishments as desired: I used Simply Elegant Trim in silver to create a bow and attached with a glue dot. I also die cut a few stars using the Little Dreamers Dies & Soft Shimmer paper in Night of Navy.
Stampin' Up! Brightest Glow sentiment, inside

For the inside: cut a piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock 3 1/2 x 4 1/8 and adhere to the inside. With Blueberry Bushel ink, stamp the sentiment on a piece of the Basic White (3 3/8 x 4). This sentiment comes from the Brightest Glow stamp set. Add die cut stars from the Little Dreamers Dies, cut from Soft Shimmer paper. Attach with dots of liquid glue.

Stampin' Up! Stargazing DSP for Bay Window card & envelope

For the envelope, more of the same Stargazing DSP on the flap, trimmed to fit. I can’t wait to see what you do this fun fold! Please do share with me.

And if you wish to order these products, be sure to use my current HOST CODE to receive rewards. What does that mean? Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We have a fun sketch challenge today.

Stampin' Up! Earthen Elegance.1

And here’s my card for the challenge. It uses the pretty and subtle Earthen Elegance DSP, Gorgeously Made stamp set for the sentiment and Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut the sentiment. It’s matted on Pebble Path card stock, then with dimensionals added to the card base (Pebble Path) and layer (Gray Granite. The sentiment was stamped with Pebble Path ink.

Stampin' Up! Earthen Elegance, card inside

On the inside, I layered a panel of Gray Granite to the card base, then stamped the Basic White piece with Pebble Path ink and this very fun stamp from Gorgeously Made stamp set. It’s so different, I really like it! This is a very simple yet significant card, due to the sentiment.

Stampin' Up! Earthen Elegance card & envelope

For the envelope I took a strip of the Earthen Elegance DSP and simply added it along the side – again, simple but elegant.
