Stampin” Up! 3 D Project

It’s been a while since I posted anything but cards, but today is the day! This is a very fun, easy 3-Sided Box made with the Flower & Field DSP that is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase. Just reminding you Sale-a-bration ends Feb 28… just sayin’… Ok, the box… the neat part, once you have made one and realize how easy it is, you can change up the dimesnions to suit your need.

3- Sided Box – #1

Is this cute or what?! Part of what makes it so appealing is the paper; the other is the shape – it’s different. The finished size is 4 1/2″ in length, 2″ in height and 3″ for the base. I began with Misty Moonlight card stock cut 9 3/4 x 8 1/2. Score on the short side at 2 & 6 1/2. Score on the long side @ 2 1/2, 5 1/2 & 8. Keep in mind, this last score line is the top or the front of the box. I sometimes find it helpful to put a sticky note on that space so I don’t forget what is what.

Burnish all sides. Trim as shown in photo. Find the center point of your ‘wings’ and score from both corners to create the triangle. This panel is 3: in width, so the center of the wings is 1 1/2″. Burnish those side score lines. Add Tear n Tape to designated place – again – see photo. (This photo is upside down… with the top/ front at the bottom of the photo!🥴) I rounded the corners of my front panel, but the next time I will use a die to make a fun front 🙂 Cuts for DSP panels are this: 4 5/16 x 2 5/16 (2) & 4 5/16 x 1 5/8. When cutting my Designer paper, I wanted the pattern to match, especially in the front to the next panel. Look at the photo and see how it does that. Remember to round the front corners of your front DSP panel. Adhere the Flower & Field DSP with liquid glue. Remove Tear n Tape, fold in the sides and adhere.

3-Sided Box – #3

Because this is a giftie, I die cut a small tag using a die from the Hydrangea Dies and stamped the ‘for you’ using the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I added the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack to attach it to the ribbon. I used the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon to tie around the box to keep it closed. And you could add a glue dot on the bottom of the box to keep the ribbon from getting lost from the box. :O)

3-Sided Box – #4

Isn’t this sweet? I love it and cannot wait to make a few more – maybe different sizes :O)
