Hey folks – it’s the second Tuesday of the month & time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop and the theme is birthday. This is perfect as it’s my twins birthday in just a few days 😁 It’s a very light-hearted card for my bro’. I’m keeping it simple, yet with a fun fold design.

This begins with a Basic White card base 5 1/2 x 8 (NOT the traditional 8 1/2!). Score on the long side at 2″ & again at 6″. Turn the card base to the right so the short end is at the top of the trimmer. Place at 1 14″ and cut BETWEEN THE SCORE LINES. Now move the card to 4 14″ and cut BETWEEN THE SCORE LINES. Turn again so the long side is at the top and score at 3″ & 5″. Still with the long side at the top of the trimmer, place at the 4″ mark & score to the cut line at the top and again at the bottom. Note below what the card looks like from the top.

Now that you have done the cuts, time to decorate…

• Old Olive card stock: `1 3/4 x 5 1/4 (cut 4); 1 x 1 3/4 (cut 4); 2 3/4 x 3/4 (cut 2) 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 (1)
• Mixed Up Patterns DSP: 1 5/8 x 5 1/8 (cut 4); 1 3/8 x 7/8 (cut 4); COORDINATING PATTERN: 5/8 x 2 5/8 (cut 2); 1 5/8 x 2 5/8 (1)
• For the back: Basic White 1 7/8 x 2 7/8

Adhere DSP panels to the appropriate card stock pieces, then attach to card as shown. See photos below

I used the Wooly Friends stamp set and Wooly Friends Builder Punch to add a bit of a fun touch… stamped in Memento ink then colored with Stampin’ Blends – Gray Granite, Petal Pink (ears), & Bronze for the bell. The embellishments are Natural Matte Dots in Old Olive. The sentiments are stamped in Old Olive ink using Addressed to you for the Happy birthday and Wooly Friends or the top sentiment that says ” You’re simply fab-ewe-lous”. On the back are the flowers stamped in Memento ink and colored with Blends Strawberry Slush & Old Olive & a sentiment from Wooly Friends stamped in Old Olive ink

For the envelope… I used the Addressed To You stamp set from the Jan-Apr 2026 Mini Catalog with Memento ink. I stamped the frame three times just ‘cuz. The balloons I colored with Stampin’ Blends – Real Red, Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lolly. The DSP on the flap is from Mixed Up Patterns DSP – same as behind the lamb and on the panels to each side of it.
