Stampin’ Up! Quatrefoil Tile Grateful

Hello Tuesday! We have another hop for you today… Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop Group. The theme is Giving Thanks with our own interpretation and you will see a wide variety of ideas from that.

Interesting… when I see this photo it looks as though the package is raised. It is NOT! It is the Quatrefoil Tile panel that is raised and the package is inset. How about that! There it is.. a conundrum of a photo… I;ll explain how I created this at least.

Stampin' Up! Quatrefoil Tile, Grateful.1

I took a Basic White panel and with the Stylish Shapes Die, cut the square. I then ran it through the Quatrefoil 3D Embossing Folder. To add color to the folder, I used the Balmy Blue ink pad and gently ‘pulled’ it over the embossed panel. It adds just a bit of color when done properly and I like the look! I die cut another square with the Stylish Shapes Dies from Subtles 6×6 DSP in Pool Party. Both the Basic White embossed panel and the Pool Party square were set aside. to stamp & die cut the bow. This uses the Country Wreaths Dies – but first a stamping of the ‘blotch’ in the Perched in a Tree stamp set with Pool Party ink on a Basic White scrap, then die cut the bow with the Country Wreaths Dies. I put dimesnionals on the upper portion of the bow & the bow center & adhered it to the Quatrefoil panel. I put lots of dimensionals on the back of the Quatrefoil panel and adhered it to a Pool Party card base. I added liquid glue to the Subtles square and slipped it in the opening. The sentiment was stamped in Balmy Blue ink on a Basic White strip using the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, then die cut with the appropriate banner in the Stylish Shapes dies. And the card front was done :O)

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Balmy Blue ink using the Country Wreaths stamp set, then used the ‘dot blotch’ and Balmy Blue ink to add the dots from Perched in a Tree stamp set. I did this just cuz. It seemed to need something and this is what I did. The Basic White panel was added to the inside of card base and voila – the card was done.

For the envelope, I cut a strip of Balmy Blue card stock and ran it through the Quatrefoil Tile embossing folder, then used the Balmy Blue ink pad to add more color: lightly sliding it over the embossed piece. I added this to the envelope flap and trimmed it to fit. With a bit of the same Balmy Blue embossed panel left, I cut it 1/2″ and added it to the bottom of the envelope. This could so easily be a baby card, a gift card, a birthday card – you name it. I’m using it to send a monetary gift to a favorite someone wanting to purchase a mandolin. Fun, huh?! I think they will love the card & the gift!
