Yesterday was the end of our virtual OnStage@Home event and we created three cards that I want to share with you today. It was a time of learning about new products and techniques and I’m sorry it’s over. All are made with the Blessings of Home suite of products that we were able to purchase as a bonus for attending convention. These products will be available to customers in the Jan-Jun 2022 Mini Catalog.

This is the first card we created and I love this paper. It was supposed to be a portrait style card and I had cut my paper in the landscape position – so there you have it… it still works. This is a beautiful stamp that shows all this detail and stamps so easily. It wass stamped in Garden Green ink on a basic white panel and colored with sponge daubers. Interesting way to color, right? Turn your sponge daub er kind of on it’s side, tap into the ink, scrub off just a bit, then color the leaves in Garden Green ink, sort of brushing the ink on the leaf. Then do the same with the flower in Misty Moonlight ink – changing sponge daubers of course. Then die cut the flower.
I chose to embellish the flower a bit and die cut some of the ‘sprays’ in the set in Vellum to adhere around the flower.
When adhering the large stamped image to the card, we added dimensionals to the top and the bottom and a strip of Stampin’ Seal across the middle. This allows for dimension in the flower yet also keeps the card from being too bulky – which I really like. I slipped in the vellum die cuts and adhered with dabs of liquid glue.
The banner was stamped in Garden Green ink on a Basic White strip, then adhered with liquid glue to the Denim Ribbon that is part of the suite. Add Stampin’ Seal to the back of the ribbon and attach in the middle part of the flower. Add Matte Dots that are also a part of the suite and the card front is done.
For the inside and the envelope, I stamped a partial flower of the smaller bouquet, both in Garden Green ink. Isn’t the image wonderful?
Card #2 is a notecard size using Cinnamon Cider card stock as the card base. A panel of the Heart & Home DSP was added, again with dimensionals at the top and bottom and a strip of Stampin’ Seal in the middle. We stamped the smaller floral bouquet in Cinnamon Cider ink on a panel of Shimmer Paper. (Love this paper and it’s available NOW in the 2021 Annual Catalog. Shimmer paper is good for watercoloring, using Stampin’ Blends and has as bit of shimmer to it – therefore the name :). We used a Water Painter to pull out some of the color on a couple of flowers. When doing this process, it’s important not to have squeezed too much water into the brush. Adhere this panel at an angle over the DSP.

We stamped the sentiment from the Blessings of Home stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink, to bring out the DSP in the background, also on Shimmer paper. We added dimensionals just to left side of the panel and adhered it to the card. We die cut several of the ‘sprays’ and adhered with liquid glue under the right side of the sentiment panel. We added the Cinnamon Cider flower tops with dabs of liquid glue.
For the inside of the card I stamped a partial image of the small floral bouquet in Cinnamon Cider ink.

This card is landscape intentionally but you can see clearly that I cut my paper in portrait – silly me. Yes, I WILL have to redo this card! The card base is Fresh Freesia with the added panel of Heart & Home DSP. And yes, to drive home the idea of not too much bulk, dimensionals were added to the far right and left sides of the DSP and a bit of Stampin’ Seal in the middle. Die pieces were cut in both Cinnamon Cider and Fresh Freesia, adding the longer sprays with liquid glue near the middle. The banner was stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink and this is a reverse side of this DSP – love it. The banner was added with dimensionals then the Fresh Freesia Flowers with dabs of liquid glue.
For the inside of the card I stamped the partial flower in Garden Green ink the colored it with Stampin’ Blends in Pale Papaya. And the envelope was stamped in Garden Green ink but not colored.
As you already know, the first & last cards must be re-done… so here’s a challenge for you… choose which of the cards you like the best and whichever card gets the most votes, will be sent to one of the responders. And yes, it will be going in the proper direction – promise.
