Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peek of Painted Christmas Bundles

It’s Thursday folks ~ how goes your week? We saw a wee bit of family again yesterday. The drive over was really bad: got stuck in traffic going 35 mph, turnpike detours due to construction and repairs. But in the end, it was worth it and I’m sooo very glad we went! Today’s card is a sneak peek in using two stunning new bundles: Christmas Season with its coordinating Seasonal Labels Dies AND Christmas to Remember with its coordinating Christmas Pinecone Dies. These two bundles are meant to work together.

Painted Christmas.1

One of the things I like about this card is that it will take no extra postage. In other words, it’s pretty flat. We send quite a few cards at Christmas, so if I can keep from layering and embellishing to the hilt (🥴), that will mean smarter work from me.

I began by doing all the die cuts and card stock cuts. The Christmas Pinecone Dies have two large dies that are like a background die: one is more detailed than the other. The less detailed die is cut in Evening Evergreen and the other in Basic White. The pinecones are separate dies and are die cut using Gold Foil. I then stamped the berries on Basic White scrap: the stem in Crumb Cake ink and the berries in Real Red, then die cut them with a die in Seasonal Labels Dies. I die cut the medium size banner with another of the Seasonal Labels Dies our of the Painted Christmas DSP. Gosh this is gorgeous paper! I cut a panel of another sheet of the Painted Christmas DSP for layering and a piece of Early Espresso card stock to go behind it.

First I trimmed the two large pinecone die cuts apart as I wanted to use only a portion of the die cuts, making certain they were trimmed apart at the same places. Then I layered the white piece to the Evening Evergreen with dots of liquid glue. At this point it was time to put the layers together…. Adhere the large panel of Painted Christmas DSP to the Early Espresso piece and then to the card front. The card base … is Soft Succulent card stock :). Attach the medium banner, also with liquid glue.Attach the pine bough spray with liquid glue, then the two berry sprays. The large foil pine cone is adhered with liquid glue. The two small pine cones have mini dimensionals. I used Seal+ to attach the length of Cherry Cobbler and Gold Metallic Ribbon. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White strip using the Christmas To Remember stamp set and fussy cut it. This also got mini dimensionals and was added to the card front. Voila! Love this… just sayin’…

Painted Christmas.2

For the inside I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink using the Christmas To Remember stamp set. I stamped the two pine cone images using the Christmas Season stamp set: Crumb Cake stamped off once for the background and full strength for the detailed top stamp. The pine cones needed a bit of glam and the Red Rhinestone Jewels were a perfect touch. They are small and fairly flat, so they rest well inside the card. Of course, all this was done on a Basic White panel and that was adhered inside the card. Yay! Did I say I love this card yet? I do! And of course, I hope you do as well.

These two bundles work so well together and were intended for that. When the time comes – Aug 3 is just around the corner for customers to order these stunning bundles. US SCHOOL SUPPLY SALES TAX HOLIDAY

Eleven states will be offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July or August. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” To see the names of participating states, products exempted from tax, and sales tax holiday dates, click here.

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

If you have customers who live in states who benefit from the sales tax holiday (yay!), be sure to give them a call and let them know.

Note: Georgia, Louisiana, and Wisconsin have suspended the sales tax holiday for this year.

Thanks for stopping by. May you have a beautiful day. Inspire. Create. Share. Nothing beats a handmade card.
