Stampin’ Up! Stitched Triangles Christmas

Today’s card has taken on a rather modern look for a Christmas card, but with very traditional colors and sentiment. I saw something similar on Pinterest from different demonstrators, but not as a Christmas card – and well, I try to get ahead on making Christmas cards. I’ve also used the Poinsettia Petals bundle, which is in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.

Stitched Triangles C’mas.1

What do you think? Too modern? I have to say I really like it – it’s different. To add more bling, the large poinsettia could be gold embossed – that would be pretty too. And I can see this done in shades of pink for the poinsettia and different DSP of course. Yep, may have to try that as well.

OK, the how to:

  • Cut triangles with the Stitched Triangles Dies using the Tidings & Trimmings 6×6 DSP and Cherry Cobbler card stock
  • Adhere triangles together as shown – liquid glue is my product of choice, but it would be easy enough to use Stampin’ Seal
  • Adhere to the card front with either liquid glue or Stampin’ Seal. I like to use my Stamparatus when doing something like this. And the card base is Thick Basic White in A2 size.
  • Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark ink then cover with gold embossing powder and heat set.
  • Create the poinsettias/ leaves with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set: stamp in Soft Suede ink then die cut with the Poinsettia Dies. Color the leaves with Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Blends. Adhere the large poinsettia together with a mini dimensional then to the card also with a dimensional. I added dimensionals under at least three of the petals on the right. Add leaves under the poinsettia with liquid glue, trim if necessary to make them fit
  • The small poinsettia is die cut straight from Tidings & Trimmings 6×6 DSP. It is adhered together with a mini dimensional then directly to the card with liquid glue
  • Add several Holiday Rhinestone Jewels to highlight the sentiment.

For the inside – I die cut a couple more triangles from the Tidings & Trimmings 6×6 DSP and adhered them together with liquid glue, then to a Basic White panel. That was added to the inside of the card and voila!

Stitched Triangbles C’mas.3

For the envelope I adhered Tidings & Trimmings 6×6 DSP to the envelope flap then stamped the fun pine needles in Evening Evergreen ink. I added Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends to the single pinecone. This is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.
