Stampin’ Up! Little Card, Big Thanks

Mixing different stamp sets to create a card is just plain invigorating! I’ve been attending a virtual convention the past couple of days and wanted to create some thank you cards for the officers being installed and the outgoing president. I chose to play with two NEW stamp sets (available May 4)… Quiet Moments and Flowers of Friendship. I wanted something not too fussy and not big either. The Basic White Note Cards & Envelopes are the perfect size – 3 1/2 x 5! Here is the card and the coordinating envelope – and I made several.

Little Card, Big Thanks

I stamped the floral bouquet from Quiet Moments stamp set in Memento Black ink on the note card. I then stamped the word stamp in Smoky Slate ink – also from Quiet Moments stamp set. I stamped the sentiment from Flowers of Friendship stamp set in Pale Papaya ink – one of the NEW 2021-2023 In Colors on Basic White card stock. (I cut three strips 1 1/4 x 4 1/4 in order to get two punched sentiments from one strip.) I then punched them using the Label Me Fancy Punch. I added three Genial Gems (NEW & available May 4) to each sentiment banner. I wanted a background for this banner & chose to punch more banners from Smoky Slate card stock, cut them in half and adhered them equally behind the stamped banner. Because I wanted just a bit more color, I chose to cut lengths of Woven Ribbon in Pale Papaya (yep – NEW & available May 4) and adhere that to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. The banner went over that with dimensionals – and voila, the card was done!

For the envelope I chose to stamp the single flower from Quiet Moments stamp set in Memento Black ink and color it with the Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends plus Cinnamon Cider Blends for the centers of the flower. This was a fun, simple project that I can send in Monday’s mail to say thank you to some wonderful women.

I hope you like the cards. They were quick and easy and sometimes we need that. Only a couple of these products can be purchased today and I’ll put them in the product list – others will be available May 4, just two days from now. These Note Cards are so handy to have available!

Products for todays project are from the 2020-21 Annual Catalog which ends May 3 and some are from the NEW 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. They may be found in the list above. 2. So pretty Terry Lynn! Love the colors! Any way that you can make the photo of your project bigger so that we can see it better? My eyes are old and have trouble seeing the little photos! 🙂
